Though the wait always seems to be 15-30 minutes on a friday night it is worth it. I get a huge "side" salad, and the garlic wings, boneless. One of my favorite places to get wings.

Wings were dry and not as ordered...also ordered this sad rendition of cheese fries. At least I was able to get these up to snuff for an extra charge by ordering a side of cheese...

Traditional wings are great! I like getting the garlic and medium sauces on the side so I can mix them and then dip the wings. It's not necessarily the healthiest option haha, but it's very good! If you're trying to eat healthier, take a look at the grilled chicken or salad options!

The wings here are amazing. They are big, juicy, full of sauce, and packed with flavor. The servers are all attractive and fun to talk to. Roosters is a fun, casual joint. (Tip: Mix the Hot Donkey Sauce with the BBQ)

So, a couple years ago, there was a Roosters by my house in Cleveland, but every time I drove by, I sort of thought to myself "Wow, that place seems terrible," but I never actually had dinner there or even stepped inside. The restaurant ended up closing a couple years ago and was replaced by a Mexican place that has Comic Sans font on all their signage. After visiting Columbus over the weekend, I am really bummed out that I never gave the Cleveland Roosters a shot. I thought the food was awesome, and there was a bunch of stuff on the menu that I want to try. I'm not much of a meat or bar food eater, especially chicken wings, but my two brothers hyped it up so much that I had to get an order of spicy garlic wings. I really was blown away! I thought they were awesome!!! They were really big and meaty, extra crunchy and the sauce was perfectly spicy. I also tried a small piece of buffalo chicken pizza. That was absolutely delicious! It was funny that when I picked up a slice of pizza from the pan, there was literally a puddle of grease pooled under it. Normally, I would be horrified, but it was so incredibly delicious, I loved it. However, I don't think I could eat like that more than once a month without causing some real damage to my sensitive gallbladder. But I would like to check out their veggie burger (only $2.99???!!), and apparently, they make a lot of their salad dressings in-house, which I would also like to try. Our waitress was super friendly and the food came out crazy fast, considering how busy it was (March Madness in full swing and the bar was packed). I wish I had cash on me while we were waiting 20 minutes for a table - they had a Keno machine. Overall, while I mourn never having the chance to enjoy the delicious food at the Cleveland Roosters, I definitely look forward to going back to the Columbus-area locations!

Completely dissatisfied with the service provided at Roosters, Henderson road, Columbus, Ohio. The server was not very welcoming and failed to display courtesy in taking orders. She neither stopped to listen properly nor did she bring everything that was ordered. In fact she went on to the extent of behaving in such a way that she doesn't understand what is meant by shots or drinks. It was really very frustrating find such behaviour. Have been to Roosters for 6 years but such incident makes us to feel probably Roosters is not the right place to be.

The food here is just ok, you really get what you pay for. Had a Long Island this visit and boy was it watered down. I would not recommend trying this on your visit.

Im going to just go ahead and give it five stars. I moved to Columbus 10 years ago, and discovered this place around that time. I think for a sports bar, it does the job well. They have TV's, nice dim lighting for watching the games, and an atmosphere that supports it. I havent ran into too many issues in terms of food or service, most people have been really friendly. I even attended the soft opening of the Hilliard location, and had a blast being apart of it. My overall feeling is the the menu is fair priced and the food aligns with it. Just the other day I paid for myself and another person, and for around $30 we got: iced tea, tall cider, two orders of 5x wings, ranch, a pepperoni pizza, cheese quesadilla, and a Italian sub. Ive been to multiple locations through Columbus, they were all clean, presentable, and friendly. P.S. I put a quarter in the Reese's Pieces machine on Henderson and got a nice handful of them. It may have been a fluke, or no one has noticed yet. So dont forget to bring a quarter and grab some on the way out.

Great prices, comfortable atmosphere, food pretty decent... but I'll pay 5 bucks to anyone who can find an actual clam piece in their clam chowder. In fact it didn't taste like clam chowder, it was more like a creamy dill soup. Not saying it was horrible, but since it wasn't what I was expecting - which is CLAM chowder - I wasn't happy with it. Everything else was fine. I had the fish sandwich. The fish was hot and crispy and my son and his cousin liked their burgers. If you want sides, though, you have to order them separate, their sandwiches don't come with fries or other sides like most places. I thought that was a little odd, but no biggie, since their prices aren't outrageous. Going back soon, there are other dishes of theirs I'd like to try.

Roosters varies by location. This one is serviceable enough, but nothing special. It was a good move to add the outdoor seating last summer. I dropped in for a quick lunch and to catch a little of the NFL games. The service was better than normal on this day. The staff seemed to actually enjoy being there. Not always the case. The wings have always been better (bigger) than BW3, go for the boneless. Caution! They charge for everything including condiments. If you ask for an extra cup sauce, of ranch or salsa expect a charge. Also the selection of beer on tap is pedestrian.

I'd never been to a Rooster's before this week. I think my impression of it was unfairly biased. I'm glad I finally gave it a shot! I had definitely read a review for this location that said something like "the chicken was undercooked" and must have said to myself, "NOPE, never!" I have 0 interest in food poisoning, and I thought I was doing myself a favor. Turns out I was doing myself a huge disservice! We came in on a Tuesday. I wasn't feeling all that hungry, so I got an order of fried mushrooms and an Angry Orchard. My boyfriend got an order of potato skins and a burger with bacon on it. My fried mushrooms were SO hot when they came out (a good thing, in my book). The breading was a little different than what I'm used to, but they were still good. They were one of the appetizers on special, so I think they were something like $2. What really impressed me, though, were the potato skins. I've had potato skins at the Winking Lizard that are basically tasteless, and made me think I don't like them that much. The potato skins here were bursting with flavor! I could really taste the bacon, for example, which I loved. Our service was fine. The waitress was attentive, but not overly so. There were quite a few families with kids, but they weren't very loud or noisy. My angry orchard was HUGE and something like $4. Our total was around $20. So awesome! Leaving full and slightly buzzed (lightweight problems) I kept talking about how impressed I was with Rooster's. I would definitely come back, and sometime soon!

Like any place, sometimes mistakes are made, like when my husband and I get a burger, and he ends up with mine (we like them cooked differently), or maybe if you get a BLT the bacon might be too done. But the great thing is that if there is a problem, the management will make it right. We've always gotten friendly service, and considering how busy they are, the service is pretty timely. We've never experienced dirty tables or benches/seats, and they always greet you when you come in and when you leave. My favorites are Bob's Big BBQ burger, any of their chicken sandwiches, the buffalo chicken pizza, the dumpster fries...really, it's all good.

I've always loved Roosters because the food (American, fried foods, burgers, wings, pizza) is amazingly affordable. They are my go to spot for quick and delicious take out. Everything I've had has been good, and when it doesn't meet expectations, it was quickly fixed by a replacement being offered. I have had a bad experience or two, but if you speak up to a manager, it is quickly compensated with credits to your check and even a return gift certificate if needed. They have a dedicated fan who won't stop going for just one bad experience out of 100!

this place is GREAT... I got the boneless wings..(altho i was told the classic style are out of this world).. and i was very pleased not only by the flavor.. but also the general size of the wings.. to go along with my meal i also tried the fried pickles. i had never tried them before so im glad my first try was a good one... they seemed to be the small pre sliced burger topping style... but fried to perfection...the staff was friendly and full of smiles... next time i will have to try the classic wings.... even tho im not sure they could taste any better.... AWESOME WINGS!!!

I am glad that this Roosters off Henderson Road had finally taken down its corny, borderline sexist signs that use to litter the walls. Jokes like "you can take anything home, but the staff" always made me feel awkward while walking in alone to fritter an hour away on a blue Sunday, as if I had shuffle in to a strip club. I am not a prude by any means ( ask the staff at Kahoots) but I'd rather not be framed as an oogler when all I want is some greasy grub to nurse a post-game hangover. So I thank the management for that. About the above: Roosters had alway tried to be a mild version of Hooters. Abandoning that, it's a decent wings-sports chain that bills itself as a causal joint. To me it is more of a smaller BW3s, without TVs at the booths. This store though is surprisingly roomy, making efficient use of space, with a simi-octagon bar and plenty of booths behind. It also has a shaded patio nicely fended-in by black bars. It's about as nice as a patio can be with the view of huge strip malls around it. The food is good. Their wings play second fiddle to B-Dubs on taste, but I prefer them; they have more meat than the boney offerings of B-Dubs. I love their fried mushroom and other appetizers. You can't go wrong limiting your meals to that. For main course fare, the buggers here are not noteworthy. The parmesan chicken is often my choice, though in no way does it get close to anything near the top the city has to offer. It is hit or miss. At best it's a good bar meal, at worse the chicken is over cooked. The sauce, well, let's just call it eatable and not venture further. Basically what you expect from a sports bar like joint. They have a decent selection of beers on tap, and the service here is great--when the place isn't busy. At times though, the bar can have loud, ex-frat types who's woo-hoos can be annoying. Just get a booth and you'll be free of the sports bar atmosphere of the front.

I've been told for a long time to come to Roosters from so many people. Today I finally decided to come and guess what the person who stood me up yesterday actually showed up! I got the benefit of the doubt and they paid for my lunch today, so we got ourselves the potato skins, 10 boneless wings and a side salad. I was just full after five of the wings alone. Keeping in mind that I'm on a strict diet for the next 2 weeks until my wedding so my food intake has been much less. I know you all are either A.) excited I have two weeks until the big day B.) happy the person actually showed up today or C.) happy I tried a new place and experienced the food. I would go with all the above since I like being treated these days and sometimes going out and trying new things is all you need when you are under a lot of stress these days. The reason I gave the restaurant as a whole 3 stars is because I'm not a fan of breaded wings, maybe because I have been eating a lot healthier these days. If you met me a while back maybe I would have been a fan of the wings but for now they were just okay, nothing too special. I guess my taste buds have changed these days. Oh well, I do give the restaurant kuddos for being nice and letting me sit wherever I want for lunch.

I visit this Roosters location semi-regularly; latest was just the other day. So my notes are fresh in mind. Here they are: Plus: Food and drink are CHEAP here. This, and the quality of the fried chicken tenders and certain other items (salads, for example) are why I come to Roosters. Can't say it has really changed over time either; very consistent. And when the mood strikes, get the mini corn-dogs. Minus: The staff doesn't seem to communicate well, and so you may get the wrong item or wait an unusually long time for food that may be sitting in the window. Also, I don't think they have normal french fries, only curly fries or potato wedges. And the curly fries are never ever crispy. Booooo. The one really contentious issue: The wings. You'll either love em, or hate em. They're breaded. The sauces below the standard hot are pretty meh. And there's the issue of doneness. When I last visited they even had a sign at the front host table regarding getting wings 'well done'. People, chicken is either done or it's not. And I've had wings there which were not, so I no longer order them. So 'your mileage may vary', depending on how you like your wings. Atmosphere: At dinner, the place will be very full and very noisy. 3 stars for cheap eats and beer (beer: modest draft selection, some crafts, nothing too crazy). That's what Roosters is, no more, no less.

I would call it your average Rooster's experience by all accounts. The service and food were great at lunch today!

Unfortunately it keeps getting worse, trying to cram too many tables into this place. It is almost impossible to get around! And too many kids!!!! Make one side of the restaurant for families and keep the other side as a sports bar.

Roosters....ROOSTERS...I love you. I don't think I've ever eaten a wing so delicious. Carolina Gold is my sauce of choice, and it is...to me...the tastiest wing ever. I'm not a spicy wing type o' gal, so I veer toward teriyaki, garlic, etc. Roosters has a very new and a very soft spot in my heart. It is what wing dreams are made of. I live next door to a BW3s but will drive the extra distance for these. If you are a wing fan, please just check it out. I can't say anything about their burgers, etc, but the wings are top notch.

Roosters has great Happy hour power! ;p big giant beers that hubby likes for just a couple bucks! WINGS, of course he loves the wings :) and I have to admit they are Pre-tty tasty! Both the bone in and boneless! I have had the fish sandwich it's decent and the burger is not bad although Everyone knows Ive already discovered the rock GOD of beefy burgerliciousness @ Beechwold diner :) I hate that they don't have regular fries!!! What in the heck!??! Lol I like going to roosters in the fall during football season, I love me some football & roosters! Lol We always meet friends here to watch a game, have a few drinkies, some kibbles & nibbles and a few laughs. It's just bar food but it's decent bar food & has decent prices. I especially like that it's open late!

Your wings are so delicious I would sacrifice my first born child, and I'm almost 30 so the price of said unborn child is rising by the minute. But just about everything else about you annoys the shit out of me. Your hostesses tell me to seat myself. Fine, at like 10 o'clock, but how about at 6 you seat all the screaming children that aren't paying/eating/drinking anything in one section, and myself in another. But I love your wings. Your tables are too often sticky. Spluge is, for one, not an approved cleaner, and surprisingly sticky when dried. Use something else. Anything. But I love your wings. Your beer could be cold. I don't need a frosty glass filled with 35 degree beer, but slightly chilled would be nice. I'll drink it. And order another. And drink that one. But I'd drink more, and TIP more if it was cold (sorry ladies) (oh yea, luckily I'm a dude...no waiters.) Yea, that's right, I just double parenthesized. But I love your wings. Bathrooms. Big, but that's it. Send someone in there occasionally to at least pretend clean it. But I love your wings. Mmmmm, you big, meaty, crispy delicious wings. I'm sorry I got mad, I really do love you. And I'll be back. When I feel like being adulterous, and venture away from you, I'm always disappointed...ALWAYS. You mean everything to me, I just wish I meant everything to you. See you Saturday, maybe you can do something to get that 4th star. And I love your wings.

The simple fact that I can order their chicken wings DRUMS ONLY, paired with the ability to mix sauces, and order the wings "extra wet" (more sauce) makes this place an instant winner for me! The staff is friendly, and turnover seems low - the good servers have been there for years. The occasional "poor" experience can usually be attributed to a full house during a big sports event, which is understandable given HOW BUSY they get. Did I mention how good their drums are? Sports bar feel, yet kid friendly.

Ok so in the interest of full disclosure: I love chicken wings and theirs are head a shoulders above any others I've had in Columbus and that weighs heavily on my choice to give it five stars. I've been going to Roosters forever and the wings just keep me coming back. They're huge and meaty. The sauces are great and they come out with a perfect amount of crunch from the breading without being overly breaded. Should you for some reason decide to go to Roosters for something other than wings they do have a large amount of sandwiches and other offerings that may not make any best in Columbus lists, but they're consistently good. The atmosphere is always laid back. During NFL games things can get spirited, but it's typically in a fun family friendly sort of way. The staff is usually very accommodating when it comes to finding you what ever game you want to watch, so long as the Buckeyes aren't playing. My only gripe with this was when they were the official viewing location for my Blue Jackets, I felt like they should have given preference to the Jackets games for sound over the handful of Buckeye games that overlapped, but they wouldn't. I don't really blame them given the disparity in popularity of the two, but if you're going advertise as the official viewing place for something you should probably have the sound on for it. Perhaps I was being greedy hoping to be able to enjoy the greatest wings in Columbus AND watch my Blue Jackets during OSU Football :) The staff is for the most part very friendly and quick. Every once in a while you'll get a waitress who clearly doesn't want to be there. The good thing is as someone who goes there as often as I do I can attest that the good ones stay and the bad ones don't. When things get really busy on game days you might not see your waitress for a while, but if you open your eyes and look at the jam packed restaurant around you, it usually is pretty evident why. Bottom Line: Best wings in the city and perfect laid back sports bar/restaurant.

The boneless wings were huge, something I was not expecting. I ordered 20 because I was starving but ended up eating around 9. I ordered 2 sauces. Both were flavorful and had a kick (just how I like my woman!) The down side was the wait staff..... A group of us went for lunch on a not crowded Sunday hoping to get out of there in under an hour....1 hour and 47 min later we walked out. Pretty disappointed. We did see the waitress for a solid 40 min, 2 of the girls ran out of water in the first 10 min. Kinda ridiculous. The place also has plenty of TV to watch football, lacrosse or DSW, up to you.

We asked for a booth and was seated at a table. When I reminded her what we asked for she told me that the one side that was against a high wall made it a booth. I looked at her like "really?" Anyhow, We got the buffalo shrimp with medium sauce, potato skins and wings; I got the traditional but I tried my man's boneless and they were much better. Restaurants to me do not thoroughly cook traditional wings and you cannot enjoy them. Although I did ask for them to cook them crispy they were still under cooked. The sweet Thai chili sauce was good though. Have to say this if anyone remembers the restaurant Spats they made the best potato skins ever and no restaurant has come close to theirs. I gave 3 stars because it is extremely noisey in there so unless that's the environment you like it wasn't for me.

Roosters (you don't need an MBA to realize what you're getting here) equals chicken wings. Roosters is a casual joint that falls into the 'sports bar' category with a couple separate casual dining areas. I love the wings at roosters because of the unlimited number of sauce combos and the meatiness of the boneless variety. The sauce choices range from teriyaki (for the kiddies) to super killer (not even if you paid me $50) and you can combine up to 3 different sauces as your taste buds see fit (personally I prefer the mild/garlic combo). I really like the boneless wings (known amongst coworkers as 'clown nuggets' as in 'chicken nuggets that you'd order at a fast food restaurant yelling into the speaker of a clowns mouth'). They are the best boneless wings I have ever had (much better than Bdubs). The regular wings (AKA 'John Wayne' wings, clearly the more manly older brother of the clown nuggets) seem larger than most wings I've seen at other establishments. Sometimes the wings seem to come out with a lot of sauce and other times with less sauce so if you have a particular preference let the waitress know how you'd like them (or to be on the safe side you can say "Extra sauce, on the side, sweetheart"). I've tried very little on the menu besides the wings but the fried mac and cheese wedges are good (with words like 'fried' and 'cheese' it would be difficult to go wrong) and the previously mentioned crew seems to enjoy the curly fries. The ambiance at Roosters could use some improvement. The tables seem oddly close together and it can be difficult to find a spot for a larger group. In addition, the bar stools don't have a back and are difficult to sit in whilst drinking several (several means more than 3 but less than 8 right?) beers. The service has been good and by that I mean my beer glass stays full and my order has always been right. Roosters can be a difficult place for a drunken happy hour because there are usually families and children around but if you are looking for a low key place for an adult beverage and the best wings (or clown nuggets) around give Roosters a try.

Fairly inexpensive meals. Good place to go if you are looking for wings. I usually get their boneless drums - seems to be a little more meat and less hassle. Their sauce on their wings is NEVER predictable. Love their red, bacon and blue salad! Their staff ... always been their downfall in my opinion. Let's just say they seem to be more in tune with their fellow wait staff than paying attention to their customers.

I feel bad giving this place one star, but I have to do it. I've had myself quite a few chicken wings in my day, and the wings at Roosters were by far the worst I have ever had. DISGUSTING. They were bone dry, fried til there was no juice left, and they were completely devoid of any sauce. Simply grotesque. Their happy hour is quite good. Standard watered down beer on tap but at a good price. $2.25 for a 22oz. Do yourself a favor and don't get food. If you are looking for a decent place to watch a game, then Roosters might be worth a look. Although if you're in the area I'd go over to Kenny and Henderson and check out Brewskys.

I love the large menu. Their subs are really good but I love their wings and boneless wings. You MUST try the Roosters Red salad dressing. I would like to see healthier options on the kids menu. A fruit side dish would make Roosters more family friendly.

    (4)
  • Rich S.

Their happy hour is priced alright, 2.75 22 oz domestic drafts. Too bad the beer selection is below sub par. It's a sports bar/wing joint. I shouldn't expect them to have craft beer. They have a house beer, "Roosters Red". The server said it was similar to Killian's. I should have taken her word for it, I don't care for Killian's. The place seems like a fine place to watch NFL games, so if I don't feel like going to the Chicago Bears backer bar in the area maybe I'll go again.

I love their boneless BBQ deep friend chicken breasts and dumpster fries. The chicken breasts are large and the BBQ sauce is sweet and tangy. The chicken wings at Roosters are really good as well, same as the chicken breasts, large and tasty. Compared to other wing joints in town I think you get the most for what you pay for at Roosters. Good happy hour prices, including half off appetizers, usually makes this place a quick stop for after work drinks/dinner for my friends and I. As for the different locations around Columbus, I have only ever been to two, this one and the one on Olentangy, but I am sure you will get the same results at all of the others.

    (4)
  • Vivien C.

I love Roosters chicken wings. They are always juice and tasty. Much bigger wings then BW3. I never had it "bone dry". Don't expect too much on the service, after all it is a sport bar. Sometime it can be a loooong wait and wings can be not as hot. I recommend not to order too many wings at once, even you can eat 30 wings. Order 15 then before you almost finish order the other 15. That way you will have hot & Fresh wings.

    (4)
  • Big B.

No. Uh uh. Wings are supposed to rely on the chemistry of skin meeting sauce -- NOT breaded ... They do have "naked" wings, but you have to ask for it. It's not the standard. Boo

    (1)
  • Zac C.

I love their boneless wings deal on Monday's! I always get the boneless with hot and garlic sauces mixed together (which is cool that they let you mix sauces). The food is always great and if you get there a ill early they usually have some good deals on drinks. Also the chicks are all hot and provide plenty of eye candy

A casual wings/bar food eatery. The wait staff (all female) are in shorts all year around (although nothing as sleazy was Hooter's). The food? Standard bar stuff. Not bad, but not great either. They do offer grilled chicken as an option to the deep fried wings, which is nice.
