While taking a break from shopping I decided to stop in Red a Lobster for lunch as I don't get the chance at work. Food was good, service was...not so much. Eric acted like I was bothering him. Not a friendly tone, a what - can-I-help- you-with, nothing. My entire interaction with him lasted all of 2 minutes total. He seemed rushed.
There are 2 Red Lobster locations approximately the same distance from our home and we go to the one we are closest to while we are out. They are both excellent. The food is always good and they both seem to get the cream of the crop for wait staff. The staff is always cheerful and attentive. We like to have fun and tend to tease and joke where ever we go and the staff at Red Lobster jumps right in and enjoy themselves too. If you like good food, good people and good fun, this is one of the places to go.

Another Red Lobster review. Ha. This location in Polaris is very tidy and the staff was attentive. I like the floor plan of the restaurant as well, it was different. Our server was super friendly and talkative and sweet(she was a Southern Belle). The food came out in a timely manner and tasted great. I was beginning to give up on chains in Columbus but next time my mother is craving RL, this will be the one we go to. I know this is such a short review but I have no complaints and if you enjoy RL, this is the epitome of what it should be.

Went to Sawmill Rd. location...Service was okay, I ordered the Walt Shrimp, which is always good, but the baked potato, salad and cheddar biscuits were lacking. The baked potato was very very small, the salad and cheddar biscuits were dry. For the cost, I can go to an upscale restaurant and get much better....I've always liked the Red Lobster, but the quality and serving size are shrinking, there is much better value for the money out there....will be out of business if portions and quality do not improve.

Good chain eating Had a gift card for Red Lobster so checked this one out. I was surprised at how busy it was being as we went around 5pm on a Saturday. Because it was rather crowded I decided to just sit at the bar. The bartender that served me was pretty busy, but still did a good job. Had the lobster artichoke dip for a starter. It was pretty tasty, the cheddar biscuits were the best I had experienced to date from Red Lobster. I was digging fried food for some reason so I simply had breaded shrimp with fries. The fries were a bore, the shrimp was good. No complaints for chain dining.

Went here recently after not having been for years. Seems like the quality of food served her has diminished over time. The lobster dip for appetizer was awesome! The cheddar biscuits were hot and delicious as always....but the entrees left a lot to be desired. Small shrimp, cold-ish crab, and everything just tastes microwaved. I'd go just to get biscuits and drinks but for good seafood I'm definitely going elsewhere.

Since we are far from the sea, I normally only get seafood on vacation. But a craving sometimes requires satisfying so we headed to Red Lobster. While two other Columbus locations have proven themselves to be less than underwhelming this particular restaurant was pretty good. The crab on linguine with alfrado sauce was rich and creamy as I like it which was a step up from runny sauces I've had in the past. Consider getting the half size unless you'll be near your home's fridge soon enough. Service was nice as well.

The Polaris Red Lobster is the first I have ever been to of a Red Lobster. I would always hear about how their food was great including their cheddar bay biscuits. My first meal here I got was the four course feast deal that is $15.99. Oh my this was bliss at first bite. I couldn't believe you could order soup, salad, main course and dessert for just that price, it was unbelievable! I remember my first meal comprised of the chicken tortilla soup, fresh garden salad, wood grilled tilapia and then a brownie. I was so full just after the salad. Still I couldn't wait to try the tilapia and brownie and of course it didn't fail for me. I make a lot of fish at home so my expectations for any restaurant with seafood is high and this met my standard of good seafood. The servers are always nice here and I also like their Bahama Mama drink here but I have to blame my fiancee for getting me hooked to that drink after coming back from Florida where we would just have that drink at the resort every night. One thing I'm most proud to share is Red Lobster has changed me for the better and now I have stepped out and tried new things I would not normally eat. This includes their New England Clam Chowder that I tried the other night and thought it was good. Normally I would never try this kind of soup and I have also learned to like other things on their menu. So kuddos to Red Lobster!

I love this place. They have excellent good, and I have always had good service. The food can definitely be a bit pricey, but I feel that you definitely get what you pay for.

While preparing to write this review, I tried to think of something that was wrong with my visit to Red Lobster just so I could throw it in.....BUT it was the best experience ever! The family and I went for lunch and expected a long wait. By the time I dropped my husband off at the door with the kids, parked the car and walked in.. He was already seated, Great! Our server came over shortly after and took our drink orders. My son didn't like his shirley temple that we ordered. With no hesitation the server asked what he could get him instead. He even said, he wouldn't charge us the difference in price. 2 thumbs up!! Hubby and I ordered the endless shrimp deal. Everything came out hot, fresh, and smelling wonderful. I chose the sweet and spicy shrimp over wild rice and fried shrimp. YUMMO! My husband had the fried shrimp and the scampi to start with. As the server put our plates down, he was already asking what our next order of shrimp would be so that we could avoid a wait between plates. He was right; as soon as I finished the first order of shrimp the next order was coming out. That continued more than a few times lol and each time they were fresh and prepared perfectly. He kept our drinks full and came back several times to check on my children. We sent him on a few napkin and honey mustard runs. Each time he had a smile and even a few jokes for the kids. It was an overall great experience that the whole family enjoyed. I will definitely be going back soon.

We visited this Red Lobster on a quiet Monday night around eight o'clock. The restaurant was dark with nice lights on each table. We sat in a booth which was great for two but would be tight with four. We were hungry and we ordered right away. We split a big seafood platter and some crab legs. I thought everything tasted pretty fresh, everything was cooked well. It was fun to snack on a big pile of seafood. Our server was Kevin, he did a terrific job. He packed extra sauces for our leftovers. If you're in the mood for Red Lobster this is a great location.

This is the best run Red Lobster in central Ohio. Not sure why other reviewers are giving bad scores here for their experiences at other Red Lobster locations. Been here a few times and never had a bad meal or experience. Usually have to wait for dinner as it's a very popular place. I highly recommend this place for seafood at decent prices.

The one in Newark was practically over-run on Sunday - and no special accomodations were made for a family member's birthday - even though we mentioned several times that dad was tuning the big 80! We attempted to order dessert ourselves, and they seemed that they would rather have us leave than even pay for dessert, so that they could get some of the people waiting at the door in... It was one of our families' biggest occasions... and we went early to avoid the crowd!... We should have had some attention for a big b-day, it wasn't our fault that everyone else decided to go on the same day... the server seemed tired, and had too many tables!! The staff was assisting her in busing her tables, in bringing the food, etc. but she still seemed to fall behind... with every table. They should have brought in another server - with this much business they could have doubled-up on the servers!

Very, very busy on Sat. night. This is a very nicely furnished Red Lobster in the upscale Polaris area just north of Columbus. Service was excellent and very friendly. We waited at the bar about 40 mins for a table. Was worth the wait! I had a half order of the special of the day... grilled salmon on a bed of wild rice with teriyaki and wasabi sauce. Perfect combination and the salmon was cooked perfectly. My son had the fisherman's platter with lobster, sauted shrimp, crab legs, stuffed shrimp and I don't know what else since there was so much food. Everything on his plate was cooked 'just right' no over or under cooking. Coming from Maine we know when Lobster is done right!

Great service. Lobster was very nice. Ultimate Feast was very good. Enjoyed the meal today. A bit pricey for Red Lobster.

All I have to say is this: Cheddar Bay Biscuits. Every time I have eaten at this location, it is almost never busy. So why, oh why, do I have to wait to get refills? That's just crazy. Food is pretty good, though I generally stay with shrimp. I am not really a fan of seafood, but shrimp is a win every time. I also like their garden salads, though if you get a salad with your meal, always ask for the dressing on the side, otherwise, your lettuce will be swimming. They have really good potato soup as well. The 4 course meal is probably their best option - why not only pay $16.99 for soup, salad, entrée (+1 side) and dessert. Only thing that sucks is that you are really limited on what entrée you get. They are a bit pricy for what you get, but overall, it's good eats.
