Terrible product. Took 1.75 hours for a pizza. Doors was cold. Manager would not answer the call for my complaint. Tried something new and result was the worst. Never again. Order was on a Thursday night, good luck getting food on the weekends.

Worst experience. Regular customer. Ordered for delivery via phone at 8:30. Didn't get anything. Called again at 10pm and they say they are down the street. By 10:25 they refused to give us a free pizza. I refuse to pay for a 2 hour late pizza. The same guy who claimed to be a manager before kept saying the manager isn't there to approve a free pizza. A manager should always be present during a shift so I think it's crazy they are short staffed and working without a manager. The feeling of a loyal customer getting treated this way is so sad. I'm spreading this story everywhere online.

What can I say about Portofinos if you want to good greasy pizza order the monster you have to turn it sideways to get it through your door I think it's got 49 good size pieces of pizza the inside of the pizza as nice and thin while the outer pieces have a really good thick dip able crust and if you like corn order the fried corn nuggets absolutely fabulous I haven't had a lot of the food on their menu but they definitely have a lot to offer the restaurant itself yes it needs updates they need to paint inside they just need a total remodel but the food definitely good

When we moved to Columbus 4 years ago a neighbor gave us the menu for Portofino's and we order there about half of the times that we order pizza. The price really can't be beat, and the core pizza ingredients taste fresh. The crust in particular is a nice, crispy and chewy crust, not the thin cracker crust that a lot of places have (personal preference). It also doesn't taste like it was previously frozen. Some of the other toppings are questionable, like the canned mushrooms, but it is not enough to keep me from ordering. I have ordered the Italian sub before and it was not good- we jokingly call it the bologna hoagie. The meat was just a really low quality, which is not surprising considering the price. The service is quick and accurate, and in the 4 years we have been customers I have never had an issue. I generally pick up my order, and the shopping center it is in (if you can call it that) is pretty shady, especially at night. That being said, I have never been mugged getting my pizza and I know some people who live around there so despite appearances you are not in danger. Also, get the giant pizza- it's comically large.

More Portofino's adventures: - A thug type guy and I (while waiting for our respective food) laughed ourselves silly watching a strange woman try to fit one of the enormous pizzas into her tiny car.. She eventually tilted it sideways which caused the pizza to slip out of the box, all over the back seat. Frustrated, she threw the whole mess in, slammed the door and sped off. - A tiny, skittish dog sometimes makes an appearance by the front door, but disappears before you get a 2nd look. I asked an employee and he shrugged and said "it shows up from time to time. We have no idea who it belongs to." - I saw a teleporting ho while I was sitting on a milk crate in front of the pizza shop waiting for my food. She was wobbling towards me from the west, walking along Oakland Park towards the shopping center. I looked down to prevent accidental eye contact, and when I glanced back up a few seconds later, she was on the other side of the shopping center. I got nervous due to the sudden confrontation with the unknown, and went back inside to wait. The food's still good!

Let's get this out of the way up front. This place looks like a crap hole. You're not going to be convinced you should go inside, and that's if you manage to find it at all. It's tucked away in a tiny strip mall with a sign that doesn't direct you in so much as give you a Sherlock Holmes worthy clue that you've found the right place. But you have. Because this pizza is good. This pizza is REALLY good. Especially if you get the giant pizza that costs about 22 dollars and can easily feed a family of 10. I'm not teasing you with this either. We buy the giant for every family gathering and we've yet to finish it off, even with more males than females. As seems to be the case with my favorite pizza places, Portofino's only takes cash. Also, once the owner tried to give me a kitten. That doesn't really fit in anywhere else but I felt like it was worth mentioning.

Up until today I would have given this place 5 stars, but after tonights experience I will never order from here again. We ordered a pickup order, with black olives, green peppers and onions and the order was read back to me. We had been busy all day so hadn't eaten and I was so hungry. We brought it home, our mistake for not checking it first. It had bacon, onions and green peppers. I don't eat meat on pizza, it makes me sick. My fiance said he would be able to eat it and called and just asked for a small replacement pizza instead of them making an entire new large pizza. They told us to come back in 30 minutes, he went back to pick it up and they said they didn't even put it in the oven yet. Again verified what toppings we wanted. Waited another 30 minutes only to find out they didn't put black olives on it. No one ever once apologized. There were at least 7 people working there and none of them showed respect or a sense of urgency. The fact that we have ordered from here so many times, and get treated this way for their mistake is unacceptable. Lack of customer service is a great way to lose customers. I would like to include that we were never once rude to them or raised our voices, we politely pointed out the mistake and waited patiently even though they were nothing but inconsiderate.

Don't let the look of this place fool you. It's a dive but the pizza is delicious and you can't beat the price! Have had the gyro also and found it very good as well.

I ordered a Gyro Platter with french fries and an extra gyro for later. The cost with delivery included was $14.00. The gyros tasted great. The lettuce and sliced tomato and onions tasted and looked fresh. My only problem is that they did not include a plastic fork in my order.
