Olive Garden is a guilty pleasure of mine - unlimited salad and breadsticks, are you kidding me???? I'm also in lust with their cheese ravioli. I can't go too often because I always eat entirely too much.

Review: "MUST READ IT! We, 6 adults and 4 children went to this Olive Gardens(OG) to complete our awesome weekend with a great dinner. We hav ordered some salads, breadsticks, soft drinks, mocktails etc. Here starts the movie, the lady who served us, goes by the name Liz, was very rude in serving. Very means "VERRRY", not just "very". She is just throwing the food on our faces, not at all gentle in serving. And when we asked her to serve slowly, instead of apologizing she said "IF YOU DONT WANT TO PAY FOR THE FOOD, I CAN UNDERSTAND IT". I mean SERIOUSLY?! did she seriously say that? Is that the way a waitress talks to the customers? That's such a racist comment; we immediately complained to the manager Becca and she tried to mend the situation, assigned a different waitress for our table who was a very kind old lady. Also Becca was ready to waive off the bill for us, but after being insulted in such a way by Liz we weren't at all ready to accept the manager's courtesy offer. Even if we weren't insulted that way, why would we want to eat for free? We are not beggars, we have our own self respect. When we asked Liz for a second serve of Salads and Breadsticks, she acted as if she is doing us a favor (fyi the refills are free). I am not blaming the entire OG for such incidents but definitely such waitresses. BAD SERVICE WHEN IT COMES TO THE QUALITY OF FOOD (or) A MISTOOK ORDER CAN BE ACCEPTABLE, BUT HURTING PEOPLE'S FEELINGS BY MAKING RACIST COMMENTS AND COMMENTING ON THEIR FINANCIAL STATUS (which is none of their business) CAN NEVER BE JUSTIFIABLE. We even asked Liz to take her words back, but she was arrogant and rude to even acknowledge that. My best suggestion for OG is that they should train their employees more properly, they should give them situation based training, teach them how to act and what to say in different situations. Whatever she said was Unacceptable. She should always remember this very old and famous business rule that "Customer is God" whatsoever. One star review to this OG branch bcoz Becca, The Manager, though she was kind to us, refused to reveal the real full name of Liz, she indeed told that her name is on the receipt and left the spot, but it isn't."

Average Italian food. The server seemed new but the GM made sure everything was OK. Food was slow to come out but was tasteful.

We go to Olive Garden quite a bit and enjoy the specials they always have. The special going on was to select an entrée and 2 pasta dishes. After receiving the meal, it had one chicken breast, when there is normally 2 on the regular size entrée. You are pretty much paying the same price for less meat and more pasta. The food was still excellent though. The service wasn't as good as usual. We waited a while for soup refills and water and he never asked if we wanted a refill on the salad because the food had arrived. We've had good and bad, but we'll still continue to go there.

We really enjoyed our visit here today. I'm not in the mood to write a big long review, but the food was good, plentiful and fresh (had the Tour of Italy) and I had the best calamari I think I've ever eaten. Our waiter was awesome - attentive but not intrusive - and it was a very relaxing, enjoyable experience. The portions were just right (it was just enough food to fill you comfortably without making you feel like you're ready to explode) and I definitely plan to go back.

Dissapointing!! I've never has such a tasteless Italian food. The Menu was limited for vegetarians - no innovation and everything was just very cheesy!! Both the main course were bland! Minestrone soup was bad, I could not go on after one spoon!! These is no pesto sauce - a famous ingredient of Italy!! The sauces were watery!! Anyway I could go on and on...but I'm never coming back!!

Mother's Day with most of my kids and boyfriend turned out really well. We got there when they opened so we were seated immediately. Celine was a fantastic waitress. As busy as they were she had a great personality and stayed upbeat and attentive to our table of 6. Everyone said their meal was very good. I had the unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks which were fantastic. Boyfriend and I shared some mozzarella bites which in my opinion did not have much flavor and were cold on the inside. The staff was fantastic and service was very quick. We will be back.

You know what you are getting if you have ever been to an Olive Garden. Casual Americanized Italian food, oversized portions, and those ubiquitous breadsticks. I try to avoid chains, but sometimes get dragged to them by co-workers. How does one review a chain restaurant anyway? In this case, based on the merits of the service, consistency and atmosphere. On this particular visit, the service was top notch. Our server was overly nice and accommodating. One coworker I was with made some really ridiculous requests including sending back his french fries because they were "too salty." Our server took these requests in stride and never broke a sweat. For her, the customer was always right. Consistency then. Yep, it tasted like Olive Garden. The salad was fresh and the soup tasted good. Check. Atmosphere, also fine. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. No complaints at all.

I've been to this particular restaurant at least half a dozen times. The service and the atmosphere continues to decline and this will be my last. The building: The vestibule of the ladies' room was used to store 5-6 full trash bags. The service: The waitress was barely present and left our used dishes on the table and did not come back to check on us. I had to flag down someone else to procure the one drink refill I managed to get. The management: The manager dragged a server out on the floor and began yelling at him regarding which server had which table - in front of all the guests. The food: My chicken was burnt, my cold pasta had barely any of the congealed sauce on it, and the breadsticks were tough, cold, and chewy. I would have brought it up to our waitress if I could have found her and after the manager's display, I was not comfortable approaching them either. We don't go to Olive Garden expecting a gourmet meal, but it should be edible and I should at least get service.

We were in town for the week of Christmas and were out the night before Christmas Eve and the traffic was pretty bad in the area. We saw the Olive Garden and decided to just stop for dinner and wait out the traffic for a bit. We ordered the soup, salad and bread sticks. We both got the chicken gnocchi soup and it was terrific. We weren't super hungry so we got two small plates to share. I think this is a great concept. I got spaghetti with meat sauce, my girl friend go the tortellini. Both were very good. We both had the peach Bellini iced tea and it was very good.

When you eat at Olive Garden, you know what you are getting. Yes, it's a chain restaurant, but it is really good. We ordered soup, salad and bread sticks and added small plates (tortellini and spaghetti and meat sauce. Everything was really good. The service was terrific, such friendly people here.

I'm probably biased because I worked here a long time ago. But we had family coming into town and it was a friday during lent and she was craving the seafood alfedo. All good as far as I'm concerned. We started off with the create a sampler italiano appetizer with two clam stuffed mushrooms. Then we had a bottle of Primo Amore Reisling. Breadsticks with alfedo sauce and of course salad with dressing and grated cheese. I had the pappardelle pescatore special. Sauteed shrimp, scallops and clams with papparelle pasta with asapagus and tomatoes in creamy red pepper seafood sauce. My man got the cucina mia linguine with pomadoro sauce with shrimp and chocolate cake for dessert. Mendy got the seafood Alfredo, shrimp and scallops in alfedo sauce. Steve got the spaghetti with meat sauce and italian sausage. We finished it off with another bottle of Primo Amore Riesling.

Good service, good food, portions are good size, bread sticks were kinda cold, but overall a great time no complaints this time.

Typical olive garden. The food is okay, but you know what you are getting when you walk in the door. The service at lunch time can be painfully slow.

i love Olive Garden and i'm certain i'll be back, but i'd probably give these guys about 2.5 stars. roommate ordered a mojito and i'm fairly certain it was just some sprite, syrup, a couple of mint leaves and a lime. not so great of a start. i ordered a soup with my meal, zuppa toscana, and i think someone dropped a crouton in it...or at least that's what i told myself as i ate the mystery ingredient. then, my spaghetti came out with one small chicken meatball that cost an additional $2.99, which i think is so outrageous, but i had to try it...it was all filler and no meat. another disappointment. also, the portion size of my spaghetti was terribly inadequate. yet another disappointment, especially when a plate costs over $10. spaghetti costs next to nothing! roommate ordered a salad and lasagna primavera, and we experienced more disappointment with the portion size. the taste left something to be desired as well. at least the salad was good...usually we can count on that to be consistently delicious! also, thank goodness for unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks. this $50 meal, including tip, was [you guessed it!] disappointing. tip to Olive Garden, if you'd like to get away with the small portion sizes, get smaller plates.

I went back to Olive Garden and had terrible service. The waiter totally forgot about my table and after receiving no drinks he finally came over 20 minutes later! We ordered. He messed up the order and didn't give me chicken on my alfredo. Then after that, he billed me for it twice on the bill. I hate being ignored at restaurants. Definitely will not be back. Terrible service!!

I give 4 stars on the 5 star rating scale of all Olive Gardens, not comparative to more authentic Italian dining places. For an Olive Garden, the service has been pleasant and efficient, the food hot and correct, and the bill as expected. There are always coupons/deals to take advantage of and you can't beat the soup, salad, and breadsticks for lunch!

I have always found the staff here to be friendly, helpful and customer focused. Today ... was exceptional! They kept the salad bowl and drinks filled. Checked regularly for whether we needed anything. Timing was spot-on. Kudo's! I thoroughly enjoy Olive Garden's menu. Good quality, traditional Italian entrees. (I've been to Italy, too. If you look for something more eclectic, try somewhere other than a chain restuarant.) Very reasonably priced for most budgets. Terrific family oriented place or fun to go out with a group of coworkers to celebrate a special occassion. The food and service was consistent and reliably good.

This review isn't about the fact that I am Italian and have been to Italy; I completely understand that there is no comparison, and you get what you pay for. However, that aside, the experience still sucked. I've been to a few Olive Gardens in the past, where the food tasted fresh, and the staff was attentive. In this particular case, it was not the aforementioned. I ordered a trio of appetizers, including ravioli, fried zucchini and stuffed mushrooms. First, they got the ravioli wrong, and gave me calamari. No big deal...but then they just replaced it with ravioli, rather than replacing the entire, touched meal. By the time I got the correction, my other appetizers on the plate were lukewarm--tacky that they did it in such a way. Moreover, the food tasted old and rubbery. Again, I am NOT going to compare to actual Italy; in fact, just comparing it to Red Lobster's stuffed mushrooms, the ones I got at this OG were tasteless, and too rubbery and tough. Everything tasted outdated and reheated. I wasn't "allowed" to nab some of my husband's salad, or else I'd otherwise be charged $3+, which I thought was tacky. If he paid for it, it's his to share. Yes, it is endless soup and salad, but he barely finished the first--and only--serving of such. So, I didn't touch his salad, for fear the "salad police" would catch me. Tacky. The waitress was nice, but kind of indifferent. The manager just waltzed by and took my dish off the bill. Very little else was done, and everybody seemed to just not give a hoot. It was almost as if they knew they screwed up too much. I only had two bites, and was afraid to eat any further, for fear of getting sick. I was asked how it was, and was honest, but nice, about it. I even let the waitress know it wasn't her fault, but didn't want to order anything else. Food was sub-par, environment was annoying (two visiting teams were laughing and giggling way too loud the entire time, right next to us, along with kids screaming on the other side). It was as if we were at a McDonald's. There, I could see, but not OG. Hence, why I gave it one star.

Hands down the worst service I've ever received. Went there Wednesday nice with my husband, son, and grandson, to celebrate their new baby (mom was at hospital waiting on carry out). First, they told us we couldn't use a highchair because it was a fire hazard. No problem except the table next to us had one. Next, we were finishing out drinks, my husband only had s couple drinks of his beer at this point and our horrible server brought us the bill. We hadn't even eaten yet! It went straight down hill from there. We had to ask for everything: silverware, refills, boxes, breadsticks, you name it. And to top it off, the mom in waiting never got her meal because the server never put it in and we needed to get back to her! I'm so mad my son even tipped this server. This restaurant should be ashamed of itself for hiring such poor servers, as well as not having a manager come and check on their tables. This used to be my husbands favorite place to eat. That won't happen anymore!

Really? I'm really posting a Yelp review of the Olive Garden? I prefer to avoid chain restaurants i favor of local options. However, I found myself at Olive Garden and in the mood for a vegan entree different from my usual pasta with red sauce. I tried the eggplant parm and was pleasantly suprised! My son also ventued out and ordered the cheese ravoli off the kids menu. We both were so pleased! My husband ended the very satisfying meal with Starberry Cream Cake. It was a moist almond cake with Strawberry preserves between the layers iced with an itaian cream. It was very lush, very delicious! I was irritated by the loud female bartender with a pony tail. She had no customers at lunch on a Saturday so she loudly engaged every server on a conversation about her Friday night. What would you like to know? I heard the whole story 5 or 6 times-I can give you all the details.

The food was really good. Staff was friendly. My wife ordered a fancy coffee drink and they didn't put whipped cream and caramel sauce on it but they were quick about making another. Worst part is, it's taking forever to get our bill and to go boxes.

Place was horrible, services was horrible. Everything was horrible. Won't be back here for a very long time, if ever. Waited for 45 minuets for our food that never came out, decided to just get everything to go, which took another 25-30 minuets. No apology from anyone we dealt with for our wait, nothing. The place wasn't very busy so there was no excuse. I understand that we weren't her only table but good lord. She only came by once to refill our drinks and check on us. Manager passed us a about 3 times and didn't say anything to us. There's just no excuse for service like that.

Their new menu sucks! I always get the same thing and on this particular day, the salad was brown, breadsticks were hard, my cafe mocha came out cold and 15 mins after I ordered it and got my food, and the sauce on my meal was so watery. My spouse got the fish and had to give it back because it was so gross! Luckily the waitress took that off our bill. Also, his soup had a random noodle that must have fallen in.. Means they probably don't pay attention to detail while their cooking. I will literally never go to another Olive Garden again. This experience completely ruined it!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
