Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I'm seriously a happy DEEP DISH PIZZA LOVING SON OF A BIG GUN right now!!! Thanks to the PIZZA CONNOISSEURS OF COLUMBUS for making it possible to spread and receive the PIZZA WORD in Columbus Ohio 43215!!!! This was a great lunch plan with a magnificent CHEESY DOUGH'D MEAT PIE!!! Place is kind of out the way... IN THE CUT....but BIG UPS to Jason on that great MEAT PIE with pep, sausage, bacon, meatballs, green peppers and onions!!!
(4)Nate K.
Deep dish pizza is amazing, craft brew selection is diverse, and the beer is cheap. What more could you want?
(5)Michelle T.
The Meatball Sub at Pi at Meister's Bar is so incredibly tasty!! All of the rest of their food is really great too, but the Meatball Sub is not to be missed.
(5)Ronda S.
Pi is located in the back of the Grandview Heights dive-bar. When I was there, on a Friday night the crowd was young and leaned a little hipster. Pi is around the corner in the back and is ultra casual. The menu is spelled out on a white board and you order from the pizza cook. They serve standard pizza and sub fare, but the pièce de résistance résistance has to be their Deep Dish. It's definitely Chicago-level good. They take about 45-60 minutes to come out, so you can enjoy the pool tables, juke box, local taps and a great selection of craft brew bottles while you wait. We had a sausage deep dish. They make it in house and it was delicious. Topped with a house-made marinara sauce that's bright and just enough spicy bite to keep it interesting. Did I mention? The whole giant pie was only $20. We'll be back.
(5)Casey S.
Great atmosphere! Mixed crowd with cheap beer and decent priced cocktails and shots. Bartender was entertaining and kept saying "hey girl!" and had a curled mustache. Definitely would go again soon.

It just goes to show you that you can't judge a book by its cover. I walked into Meister's Bar with no expectations at all and I left becoming a huge fan. Don't let the bar's dated exterior and interior fool you. Not only is Meister's a cozy and eclectic bar, they also serve up some good deep dish pizza. I am by no means a deep dish pizza expert. Truthfully i've only had it a handful of times and I actually prefer Neapolitan and New York pizza (don't hate me Chicago). With that said, the deep dish pizza at Meister's is quite palatable. It's not as rich and heavy as other deep dishes i've had in the past, which were often overwhelmed with cheese. I actually enjoy this "lighter" pie. It's still richer than the average slice and two slices will fill you up. Not the case here. The amount of cheese and sauce are nicely balanced. The sauce is sweet and tangy with just the right amount of acidity. The crust has enough structural integrity to carry its ingredients, yet is soft to the bite and not greasy. The other great thing about Meister's is the bar itself. It's actually rather ordinary, but its divey and unassuming atmosphere make it very comfortable for patrons. It's the perfect low-key bar to catch up with friends after work. They have two pool tables and also a dart board. The drinks are reasonably priced and they even have Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier on draft. That's almost an automatic 4-star rating for me. Anyways, i'll definitely be back. If it tastes this good, I don't mind eating pizza with a knife a fork.

Meister's Bar is one of the great hidden pizza shops of Columbus. Not much of a parking lot, but once you get in it's a pretty chill atmosphere. If you're just trying to order a pizza there's a separate number for the kitchen. I heard they had a pretty good deep dish pizza so I wanted to check it out. It wasn't really a deep dish in my mind but I went in expecting like Chicago style deep dish. But the pizza alone on just flavor, size, and smell was amazing. You do get your money's worth, and I will definitely be going back for more.

I pretty much just love all things about this place. The perfect bar to just hang with friends- Drink and Catch up. my favorite Pizza! The sauce is just indescribably good. Oh and a must have for a who visit is a White Meister shot. It is and will forever be "My Bar" whether I'm 10min or 3hrs away.
(5)Raymond W.
Best of the best. This place has style and personality all over it. Great grub and delicious drinks
(5)Taylor P.
This place is a great little find! It's tucked away but don't let that make you shy away! They have great pizza, but be prepared to wait for it. The kitchen is tiny and they make the orders as the come in. But they have pool tables, darts, TVs, and bar to help you pass the time.
(5)Ann S.
Deep dish is my absolute favorite and after coming back from Chicago, I was craving more. Meister's kept coming up as having the best in Columbus so we decided to give it a go. We skipped lunch so we could load up for dinner. Bar scenes aren't our thing and waiting around for an hour in the uncomfortable bar height seats was not on my agenda that night so we switched it to a to go order. It's a little irritating that I have to order a 16" pizza for two people. We always get a small when we get deep dish so the option would be nice. When we picked it up, we went up the street to park and used our plates and napkins and prayed we didn't wear any since we wanted to try it hot. It's not that it was bad but the sauce was overly sweet and garlicky with no balance. It was just missing something, we both couldn't put our finger on it. The cheese was good, the pepperoni was pretty average. The crust? Wow, I'm pretty sure if I had a scale each piece would've weighed 3 lbs. It was DENSE. So dense that my 2nd piece I scraped off the toppings and left the crust for the trash bag. I like a little air in my crust, it's just a preference thing. We had half a pizza left and thankfully a friend nearby hadn't eaten dinner yet so we took it to him and he liked it. We joked he'd need a crane to lift it. Nothing I'd have to go back for but I know I'm in the minority so they won't miss my business.

This is a cool, hidden, Columbus gem I recently discovered. It looks fairly unsuspecting from the outside, and has a somewhat isolated location on Chambers Rd., but that's kind of what makes it cool. Inside, you will find a cozy, casual atmosphere and some amazing service. I was pleasantly surprised by their deep dish pizza! I wouldn't say it's true Chicago-style, so don't expect Giordano's. Still, it's very tasty in its own way- think of it as Columbus-style deep dish (just a tad thinner than Chicago). They have darts, billiards, and an arcade or two. Plenty of TV's are there to show all sports (even soccer!). I was also pleased to see some Cleveland paraphernalia scattered around!
(4)Tiffany M.
Honestly as far as bars go, this is as good as it gets for me. Not overly crowded most days, iPhone sync-able juke, darts, pool tables, relaxed atmosphere, GREAT think pizza. We always bring half a box home. Good parking, seems to be in an odd enough spot to be unnoticed by the college kiddies, while still having at 20's-30's crowd. It's me and the Bf's go to bar.

It had been a long week! We just finished our exams for the year and endured an "exploration week" which meant waking up at 7am to listen to lectures and walk around the hospital. After taking an hour nap at 5pm, I decided we needed to go out tonight. I'm not a big fan of bars, but I love dive bars and hole in the walls and gastropubs. Pretty much anything that involves a cold glass of craft beers and greasy food. This place is located randomly somewhere in grandview. Randomest location ever, but I appreciate that they had a parking lot out back. It made the trip all the easier. You can get beers right when you get inside, but if you want pizza its all the way around the corner tucked away in the back. We ordered the meister balls which were okay and the BBQ chicken cheese bread, which was pretty delicious. There was three of us and we had the m. balls and the bread and we couldn't finish them. Bartenders were friendly and took the time to list out the beers on tap for us. I also noticed they had darts which, oh my, brings me back to my college days when my roommates and I would head to our local pub to get happy off of a Pliny and play darts in the corner of the room. good times. I will definitely be back! If you're looking to just hang out and grab a couple of beers with your coworkers this is definitely a place you can do it!
(4)Anthony N.
This is your local hole-in-the-wall sort of establishment. It's got a cozy atmosphere, a great place to grab a brew and hangout with your friends. There's nothing fancy, but it's got all you need to have a good relaxing time. There's 2 pool tables, a dart board, 1 pinball machine, and a pac-man arcade console. Tucked around the corner, there is a kitchen that I did not anticipate (I ate beforehand), otherwise I would have tried their pizza which looked pretty tempting. This with place that doesn't try to drown out your conversations with obnoxiously loud music, so you can actually enjoy your company of friends.
(4)Derek F.
The bar has a divey feel but with good people, good drinks, good pizza, and actual cleanliness standards. Easily my favorite bar in Columbus, it is my go-to spot at least once a week. Full bar with tons of liquors, numerous rotating taps, and at least 75 different kinds of beer in bottles/cans. Prices are generally on the lower side, though occasionally they have happy hour deals (such as dollar can night) that make drinking like a fish easy on the wallet. There are numerous tables throughout, a L shaped bar with probably ten seats, and both seating in a 1/2 story higher room with darts. There is also a large patio with 8 tables or so. There are two pool tables (where I hang out), a pinball machine, a hunting game, and beer pong game. The pizza is phenomenal. It is on the pricier end, but it feeds an army and is some of the best pizza in town. Get deep dish or you suck. If you don't want to break the bank, get cheesy garlic bread. My love for this bar runs deep.
(5)Maria P.
This was my first time eating here. We got the deep dish pizza with sausage which was very good. Great happy hour prices - $1 cans (select ones) and $1.75 domestic bottles. It is a good place to come for a night out with friends. There are two pool tables inside with lots of tvs. It's a Browns backers bar so it's packed for Browns games. There is a patio out front. The only downside is, is that smoking is allowed on the patio. Overall, I would recommend checking this place out for pizza and beer!
(4)Vin R.
Yet another one of those places that I never knew about when I actually lived in Grandview as part of a childless couple that I then discover six years too late as a middle aged dad. Oh well, a missed opportunity then. Still, if you didn't have kids, you could totally wander in at 2pm and stumble out at 2am and never be bored or hungry. TV's, pool tables, bar games and plenty for the beer and liquor drinkers to occupy themselves. As far as the hungry part goes... The pizza is great! But... It's not technically Chicago-Style deep dish pizza. It's very good thick crust pizza. As long as you don't judge Meister's through the prism of Chicago Style, you will leave fat and happy. And maybe little inebriated.
(4)Gus W.
I ordered a pizza here on Sunday, because I'd seen so many reviews talking about the delicious deep dish. Trying to break the monotony of Columbus pizza, I knew I had to give it a shot. What I found was not really deep dish but more like an Adriatico's style with the cheese and sauce flip-flopped. The bottom crust was way too thick for me to consider it deep dish, but either way, it was still a damn tasty pizza! It takes about 45-50 minutes to get a pizza, since it is such a thick pizza, so if you're ordering ahead, plan accordingly. Or, you can drive right over and have a few drinks at the bar. Honestly, I didn't realize how close this place was to my house, and when I walked in, I was surprised by how chill the bar seemed. I actually wouldn't mind spending some time here. Plus, they have pool tables, pop a shot, and pinball machines! It'd be a great place to start the night. If you come in through the front, then you'll want to go to the right and to the back to pick up and pay for the pizza. The bartender at the front was really nice about pointing me in the right direction. As I waited for the pizza guy to finish up packaging my pie, I scanned over the rest of the menu, and they actually have a pretty good variety of sandwiches and appetizers. I'll be back to try the Italian sub. As for the pizza, my girlfriend and buddies loved it and were excited to try it out in the future. A 16" deep dish runs about $19, but the pieces are so filling that I could stretch that out over a few days easily. I won't be surprised to find myself back here again soon for food as well as some drinks!

Great neighborhood bar. Uhhhhmazing deep dish pizza! Be sure to put your order in early -- can be a 1.5 hour wait on a busy night. But sooooooo worth the wait. This isn't soggy, heavy deep dish. This crust is somehow crispy and slightly buttery and light. I don't know how they do it, but it's perfection. The sauce is the best I've ever had. Zesty, savory and just the right balance of herbs. High quality cheese. One piece will fill you up -- one pizza can easily feed 4-5 people. The bar has a great neighborhood vibe. Lots of regulars plus younger folks. It's very clean and intimate (small). A comfortable kind of vintage-y vibe. Not kitsch vintage, more like wood panel vintage. But in a good way. Bartenders and owner are very friendly and welcoming to everyone, even non-regulars. Small but good selection on draft, including a German Hefeweizen. TVs for sports watching but doesn't feel like a sports bar -- unless there's a Browns game on! This is the official Browns Backers bar!

My husband heard about their deep-dish pizza and was interested about checking it out. He usually gets it from Romeo's and wanted to see if this was better. We arrived around 7 on Fri. night and knew the pizza would take awhile, so we went straight to the window in the back. I'm not a huge deep-dish fan, so I ordered the White Meister's, which is a variety of cheese, with tomatoes. We paid around $20 for each, since there is only one size pizza. We got drinks and took a seat with a view of the pool tables and the tv showing rugby. I've never watched rugby, but took an interest. The crowd seemed pretty young, and classic rock was playing. Our drinks were $10 for 2, and we had 2 rounds. The pizza guy brought our pizzas to our table and they looked great. My husband enjoyed his, and mine was very good. The crust had a great taste. I had a bite of his deep-dish minus the pepperoni, and I liked it too. We got a take-home box for our halves, and were on our way. We will definitely come back.

Meister's is laid back, and a Browns backers bar so I love it. Beer is cheap and people are friendly. Deep dish pizza is awesome
(5)Emma L.
What a great spot. Meister's pretty much has everything I want in a bar. It's clean, the bartenders are nice, there's a dart board loft area, pool tables, awesome deep dish pizza and customers who are usually pretty chill and just there to have a good time. Meister's is off the beaten path, and I definitely like it that way! If bf & I could move into the dart loft, I'm pretty sure we would. If you are a fan of deep dish pizza, you HAVE to try theirs. $20 gets you a huge pie that will easily feed 4-6. You can get it to go, too, and it seems like a lot of people do.
(5)Nicholas C.
My go-to pizza night pizza. Best deep dish in Columbus, hands down. Give them some lead-time, because these are usually handled by just one dude in the back of the kitchen working his butt off. Spicy sauce, great cuts of meats... Try the buffalo chicken bread too. I'm having a fat moment.
(5)Sam M.
Amazingly good deep dish
(5)Brian D.
I'm always skeptical of dive-bar pizza, but Meister's met my skepticism with a slap in the face. Meister's is a dark, windowless bar with a good beer selection and a pizza operation running out of the back door (yes, you have to go back there to order and pay separately). The bar-keeps were top notch and the patrons had the jukebox dueling between Guns N' Roses and the Sex Pistols. All in all, a very fun scene (thank goodness, because the pizza took FOREVER). Meister's serves up both deep dish and regular crust so, yes, of course, I had to try both. I also tried to order some Meister Balls (meat wrapped in pizza dough and served with sauce), but, alas, they were out. The regular crust pizza is square cut. The crust is light and crispy (no big air pockets or real chewiness). The pep and shrooms were not remarkable (mostly covered in cheese, so no cupping or crisping or great texture). What really carries the pizza is the sauce - they use plenty of it. The sauce is zesty with some great herb action and sweet finish. As for the deep dish, I'm not sure I'd even call it pizza. It was like a giant dough shell with a layer of cheese and very thick spaghetti sauce dumped on top. The sauce, while thick, did not congeal like a tomato paste would under high heat. Since I set the pizza on my car seat (slight slant), when I got home only half the pizza had sauce. Some quick spatula work fixed the sauce situation. All of that said, this sauce was SPECTACULAR. I had ordered up the Meatfest deep dish - so it had bacon, sausage and pepperoni in the sauce. The sauce had a very good kick to it - just delicious. Now the downsides to Meisters - pizzas only come in one size - 16 inch. That deep dish alone is enough to feed an army (which makes the over $20 price a little more reasonable). When I ordered the deep dish, I was told there were 4 other deep dishes ahead of mine, so the wait would be an hour and twenty minutes. I liked this place, but that's too long to be in there waiting . . . .fortunately, they did beat that estimate, but it still was a long wait. The bottom line - if you like pizzas that emphasize the sauce, you have to try Meister's. I toss three and half stars at the pizzas and I bumped it up to four because it's my kind of dive bar.
(4)Will P.
Interesting pizza pie Meister's was open late to my delight so I went in and ordered up a deep dish pizza. It took a long time to be ready, like 45 minutes. Once ready I took it home to devour. The pizza was BIG, 16" with 8 slices. It was a deep dish hawaiian and I found it interesting that the sauce was on top of the toppings. It had in interesting taste, the sauce had some spice to it to enhance the flavors. For as unique and special as the pie was I can't say it draws me back for more; especially considering the price ($24 for the pizza).
(3)Leah L.
My rating is on their thin crust pep pizza. First couple of bites were good. After that, meh. Nothing bad but nothing to rave about either. I will have to try their deep dish next time.
(2)Michelle K.
Fantastic "dive bar"! Do not miss out on their pizza. Both the deep dish and regular crust are among the best I have had in Columbus. Their sauce has a unique sweet flavor, they don't skimp on toppings and there is a fantastic beer selection to drink with your meal!
(5)Tim S.
Just a great place to hang out and have a beer and some pizza. The pizza is very underrated. Among the best in Columbus. The deep dish is popular but I really enjoy just their regular pie. GREAT place to watch browns games and drink prices/specials are fantastic. When I am in Columbus this is becoming more and more my go-to hang out spot. The owner/staff do a great job and the crowd is just right for this type of bar.
(5)Ambrosiac V.
best deep dish in Grandview. definitely worth a look for pizza aficionados. great service that guy with the moosetache is friendly and welcoming. it is a Browns Backers bar. has 2 pool tables and a dart board.
(5)Michael H.
Most importantly. There is a GREAT pizzeria located in the back corner of the bar. Get a Deep Dish pizza. You will NOT be disappointed. It is one of my new favorite pizza's in Columbus.
(4)Angie K.
This place wasn't bad. Local place with Deep Dish pizza. I wish I was hungry because it looked GOOD. Next time I am back I am trying the pizza, it might add a star. The bartenders were super nice also and they had 12 dogs Xmas ale on tap. Winner.
(3)Megan C.
Meisters is one awesome bar because of the following reasons: (1) - its walking distance from my home, so it's never a problem to drink and have to drive, I just drink and walk (2) - the bartenders are awesome. The owner has a kick butt mustache and is friendly. Has been working there awhile and the other bartenders are friendly and know what they are doing, for sure. (3) - greatest deep dish pizza in town; hands down! (4) - Two pool tables, a touch screen jukebox, darts, pizza and subs, and a few high tops for seating - love it here! this bar is definitely a Cleveland Browns bar, and being a steelers fan, I still give this bar 5 stars because it's got a great atmosphere!
(5)Isaiah S.
I saw the review of Meister's Chicago deep dish in the Food City Winter 2013 edition, and pretty much demanded that my friends join me that week. We were not disappointed. Despite Meister's somewhat shady exterior, it is a warm and welcoming bar. Remarkably clean, appropriately noisy, and with excellent quality pool tables, Meister's is one of the more comforting bars I've been to in Columbus. And the deep dish pizza is excellent. It is not the most unique deep dish I have ever had, but absolutely the best there is in Columbus. The sauce is slightly sweet with a fresh, rich tomato taste. The cheese is smooth and tangy without overpowering your mouth or your stomach. And the crust has an excellent crunch without too much grease. If I have any notes to give, is that even one deep dish slice can fill you up, so be forewarned that you will probably be bringing back leftovers.
(4)Doug O.
A decent bar. Surprisingly good beer on tap for kind of a divey-looking place. Friendly staff. A window that sells pizza! Good spot for happy hour, as it's usually not too crowded. My wife and I tried going there for a few weeks for Browns games because they're a Browns Backers bar. Not a great place to watch games. Not enough TVs or seats, and no drink specials, so you end up spending kind of a lot of money during the course of a game. If you're a Browns fan and are looking for a better place to watch, go to Oldfield's on 4th for drinks on special, plenty of free shots, and more TVs per viewer.
(3)Adam H.
As others have pointed out, this is a great dive bar and it offers a fantastic view of the manufacturing-ish district of Columbus. Certainly a hidden gem of Columbus. Cheap alcohol, pool and darts, and low-key yet friendly service. Best part is that we're here celebrating Cinco de Meister's and the place is empty!
(5)Matt R.
I can't believe the prices here! I feel like a jerk since I'm putting down an independent, local bar, but I really don't know why people like this place so much. I guess it's just not really my scene, which makes it difficult to judge this place for what it is in the first place. I'm more into a high-energy/Short North/Arena District place and this is more of a laid-back neighborhood bar (or at least from what I saw). Meister's and I would get along just fine, but the prices are seriously whack. Like Jackie C said: $3.75 for PBR and $2.75 for Old Style? Really?
(2)Matt V.
Pretty much the best bar you'll ever go to. It's a shame that you won't remember it due to your blackout-drunk-drinking-problem.
(5)Christina C.
Oh yes - another one of those dive bars you just can't resist. They suck you in with their delightful craft beer selection, windowless walls, rock-blaring jukebox and uber friendly bar staff. Such was Meister's. They had pumpkin beer - score. I ate their free popcorn - making sure it was freshly popped of course. I played Fleetwood Mac on the jukebox while chatting it up with Patsy - who's like the crazy aunt you can't get enough of - and had one helluva time on a random Thursday evening. And if that wasn't enough to encourage you to go and at least give it a whirl, they have arcade games, pool tables, a spacious patio and something I'll refer to as "the bird's nest" where you and your buds can have your own space to high-five without shame while watching your favorite losing football team.
(4)Crystal K.
Nice bar. Not fancy, but always a good time. Great staff. Pool tables, darts, and many tvs playing a variety of sporting events and movies/television programs.
(4)Ka T.
Ive been to this bar a few times. The new owners have done quite a bit to brighten up the environment and modernized the over all atmosphere while keeping its charm. The bartenders are very experienced and Todd has served me drinks for a number of years. This new bar will not remain a secret hot spot for long. Ill be visiting quite often and bring my friends.
(5)Adam L.
Meister's has plenty of charm and I've spent several nights here engulfed in some fantastic conversations with friends. I must tell my favorite Meister's story: Being broke and rebellious, I opted out of having cable. This works really fine for me except when it comes to catching sports; i have to frequent bars to catch games on Saturdays or Sundays. This years Super Bowl had me worried as I didn't want to travel to an overcrowded sports bar, but DEFINITELY didn't want to miss the game. A buddy and I first stopped by Woodlands Tavern. We quickly realized that they were setting up for a LIVE BAND during the Super Bowl. WTF?!?!? We couldn't believe that a bar was annoying it's patrons with music during TV's biggest event. But we quickly learned that Woodlands had a strategy: about 5 minutes before the band started, lots of girls started flooding the bar. Knowing a few of them, we asked them why they were here. The responses: "My boyfriend is watching the Super Bowl with friends." or "My husband is using our house for a Super Bowl party." Woodlands was attracting the "non-super bowl" crowd. So my friend and I drove to Meister's. We walked in and saw a buffet of wings set up. Meister's doesn't serve food, so we were pretty baffled. As soon as we walked in, we realized that a group was using Meister's to host their own Super Bowl party. The organizer of the party walked right up to my friend and I and handed us plates and told us to eat up as they had more than enough food. I enjoyed all the wings I could eat, played darts & watched the Super Bowl. So .... I Love Meister's.

Meister's is what a bar should be. It is free of idiots, free of pretense, free of labels, free of douchebaggery.... if only such a bar could exist in DC. The little area that is elevated above the main bar floor--we like to call it the VIP area for Very Intoxicated Persons--is a great way to pass a good 5 hours drinking and playing darts. Of course, you'll likely make the occasional trip to the jukebox to load up some good tunes, rack up a pool game on the main floor, or to grab as many bottles of beer as you can hold in your hands to take back to your friends. That little bird's nest might be my favorite place in any bar ever. While the beer may not be cheap by Ohio standards (a land where all-you-can-drink for $10 is not uncommon), I'd say it's far from objectionable. In fact, the not-dirt-cheap drinks and out-of-the-way location are probably responsible for Meister's standing head-and-shoulders above all the other rah-rah college bro-fests you'll find around the OSU. Also, I've realized that I don't really enjoy popcorn unless I have alcohol in front of me. But under such circumstances, I fucking LOVE popcorn. Weird. Meister's has popcorn; ergo, Meister's is awesome. I can't wait to visit several more times next trip to Columbus.
(5)Tony F.
Meister's is my relaxation bar of choice when I am looking to unwind in a very chill atmosphere with reasonably priced drinks. I often host several colleagues at the pool tables for office bragging rights for the week. More often than not we end up there late however the conversation about the evenings before usually leek into the morning training meetings, much to the chargrin of our managers, who also occasionally come and enjoy being beaten at pool. Meister's is as laid back a scene as you will find in the area, and always a good time.
(4)Kyle J.
I love this place more and more every time I walk in. It has a patio, darts, pool, popcorn bowling and mustaches! The ever changing draft selection continues to impress me. In the few times I've been there I have seen Magic Hat Spring Vinyl, Magner's Cider and Crispin's. There is also a stellar bottle selection if the draft list doesn't tickle your fancy. This bar is what I though bars should look like when I was young. Lots of wood. A killer jukebox. Sparse posters. Mustaches everywhere (okay that last one was a lie). This place has a great personality. The bartenders are friendly. What more do you want?

This quickly became our new hangout. They've done a really nice job fixing the place up, and the front patio is pretty great. There are some decent weekly specials, like 24oz High Lifes for $3 on Tuesdays. They also have some wines, which my friend says are pretty good. I don't do wine at bars, but if you aren't a beer or cocktail drinker at least you have some decent options and don't have to order a white zin. Unless of course you want to get REALLY crazy! It's sort of like a Cheers if you hang out in the Grandview area; you'll see some familiar faces whenever you go in. It's packed-ness seems to go in waves throughout the night. It may pick up from 8-9 and then die down until midnight. Whenever I've been there at the end of the evening on the weekends it's always been pretty packed, but not so much that you are up in everyone's business. They don't have food yet, but you can get food delievered from any of the Grandview establishments. It's definitely worth checking out even if you don't live in the neighborhood. I have Clintonville friends who now love this place. If you see me there my drink is a High Life.

This was my first visit. The bartender was a nice and on his game. I will go back again.

Oh yeah, this place is a dive, a kick ass dive. An Old Style sign was the first thing I noticed, and it just got better. The bartender was super friendly and attentive. The patio is cozy and overlooks the quiet business-ish district of north Grandview. The food from the kitchen smelled tasty but I didn't stop to look. I will for sure be back.

This is one of my new favorites in the Grandview area, great atmosphere, great layout and Strike Masters bowling game takes way too many of quarters every time I go in there! I am not giving 5 stars b/c $3.75 for a pint of PBR and $2.75 for a bottle of Old Style is ridiculous and it keeps us coming in more often. Beyond that, I highly recommend!

Pizza was a nice surprise. Heavy and decadent. Like other reviewers have said it is not technically "deep dish" pizza, but it's rich still. Crust is hard and crispy. The place is fun too, cozy bar and plenty of things to do.

It's hard to find good Chicago style deep-dish pizza in Columbus. They do a great job here! The bar is a younger crowd, but with pool, darts, and a clean-dive bar feel (oxymoron?), it's a great place for any age.
