Either we hit their worst night of the year, or they have gone downhill. My wife had combo 20, a chalupa and chilli relleno. The chalupa was soggy and fell apart, the chicken inside had no flavor. The relleno was a spicy pepper wrapped in an omlet. It was all heat no flavor. The best part of the meal were the table chips. They were delicious. My meal of arroz con camarones had the most flavorless shrimp I have ever had. There were only a few black olives, but they overpowered the dish. And the service was off too. We were seated and got chips and water quickly, but waited 15+ minutes for a waiter to appear. Took my glass for a refill mid meal, brought it back at the end of the meal. Thank goodness for the water. Only saving grace was taking 1/2 off my wife's entree. Otherwise this would be a 1.

The food is very good here. Huge portions and the wait staff was friendly. We had a large group of 25-30 people and everyone had a great time. It's definitely a place I would come back to.

The wife and I tried this Mexican Restaurant out yesterday for lunch and found it to be just above average. The biggest disappointment was the sausa. It looked good, had great texture but was nearly tasteless. I would rate it a 1. The nacho's were just ok as well, very plain - but the cheese they put on them was good. I would rate them a 2, my cheese and onion enchilada's with rice and refried beans was good . I'd rate them a 4. The wife said her beef fajitas was as good as she's had. The beef was very tender. I would rate it a 5. The facility was great, the waiter was top notch and the place has plenty of convenient parking. I would rate these a 5. So, I would avoid expecting to fill up on the chips and sausa, not order the nachos and go right after the main meal. Will we go back? We will if in the area - the wife loved her fajita, and that's why we rate this restaurant a 4.

I've been here a couple of times now and I eat a lot of Mexican food. I've been to Mexico many times, and have eaten most of what Columbus has to offer in the way of Mexican food. This place has the best authentic Mexican food in Columbus. When I go into a restaurant I like to look at who is eating there, Asians eating in an Asian restaurant, Germans in a German restaurant, you get where I'm going with this. To me it represents authenticity because of people of that particular origin are eating there it should be good right? Well when you go here expect people of Hispanic origin eating here. I would give this place 5 stars if it weren't for the happy hour/margaritas. The margaritas are good but they charge more than others places in Columbus and they use REALLY CHEAP tequila. You can order more expensive tequila but it won't be cheap.

We went with a huge group and did separate checks. I was impressed with how well the staff handled this. The service was fast and friendly and the food was good. My issue with Mexican resaraunts is they all taste the same to me. The food was fine but did not make an impression. I would go back but probably won't because its a little far from home. We hung out at the bar after dinner and it was fun. good margaritas and again the service was friendly and fast.

This place is my favorite. Their lunch specials are always fairly priced. They have fantastic food and wonderful service. The margaritas aren't bad either! I highly recommend this place and have been going for years!

One of my favorite Mexican spots in Columbus. Love the new building and the always generous portions. Always go with a pitcher of Margarita's for a great night. The house combo fajitas and support burrito are my go to dishes. Their Mexican pizza is also very good.

I just went here today after work and the food was SO good!!! I passed it many times, but decided to go there today when I picked up my mentee, because it was very close to her grandma's house. I had some flank steak with onions & peppers. It was so very tasty and they gave me a LOT of food for the price! I had to take some home! My mentee got the veggie enchilada. She's young and goes by looks. She initially didn't like the presentation but she was wonderfully surprised because she loved the way it tasted also. The service was excellent to go along with the food. The price was great I would definitely return. I plan to tell all my friends and co-workers about it.

Great food! Great service! Best margaritas Columbus! I aim to earn more check in points in order to get a Mexican hat dance from the owner! I have never had an issue with this establishment! Their food is reasonably priced for what you get! I never leave hungry!

I probably prefer Mexican, Tex-Mex or South American food to any other types of food. I have had my fair share of Mexican food. I prefer taco trucks around Columbus to many of the restaurants, but when I want Mexican food I enjoy going to this one. Their food is above average for Mexican restaurants around Columbus. I have noticed a lot of Mexican restaurants no matter what you order on the menu it all tastes the same. Generic. The food here actually all has its own flavors no matter what you order on the menu.. In my opinion Friday and Saturday they seem to have a different cook. Those are the days to go especially when the man bartender is there. He makes AMAZING margaritas. After a couple of his cadillac margaritas all you will want to do is turn up or pass out. Guess, it depends on how much you ate with your drinks. Go there for the drinks!! The food is good too! Ask for their "ketchup". Beware just put a little bit on at a time!

Consistently great food and if you know how you like your margaritas, tell them and BAM !! Just what the doctor ordered!! Don't be shy about asking for alterations to the food items as well. By now the staff has our special requests memorized. You will not be disappointed!!

So, I'm nominating Fiesta Jalisco as the best Mexican restaurant in the most out of the way location. Sitting in the mostly abandoned Northland Plaza shopping center, you can see it from 161 must east of Cleveland Ave., but you have to turn into the center's access road to get there. Their house taco sauce is, like the best sauces, sneaky. I liked the guacamole. It's smooth and not chunky. I had tacos carne asada. The beef was good, in double soft taco shells and you can taste the grilling. The refried beans were not refried to death and, in fact, were tasty. The rice was so so, but it did not put me off from what was clearly a great meal. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a great Mexican meal in Columbus, Ohio.

Was in the mood for Mexican so I thought I'd try some place I haven't been to in quite awhile. First up they immediately bring out a basket of chips and salsa. I think the chips are out of a bag but the salsa seemed to be made fresh and it tasted pretty good. My husband ordered chicken tamales with beans and rice. I tend to measure my visits at Mexican places by their chicken chimichanga probably a throwback to my Chi Chi's days and I got just beans. My hubby liked his dish and said it was tasty. Mine on the other hand was disappointing. My chimi wasn't crispy at all and the filling was flavorless. The beans seemed right out of the can too which disappoints. Another side note for some reason my server kept forgetting to get my iced tea and when I finally got it I wasn't given a straw. I know it's minor but it's a pet peeve of mine when I have to ask for a straw. All in all seems like an average place.

Well the food is good. Atmosphere was pleasant. But trying to get my drink refilled was retarded. Asked for a refill of my Sierra mist. They took my glass and never can back. So drank warm water the rest of time. Other than this mishap though. Their wings though are small, were delicious. Their service though, at least to me was horrible!!! I'll never come back but I don't like being treated like crap. But I will say everyone should try. Maybe my waiter was having an off day. I'll just never come back 3 stars because of my service

I called ahead to place a carry out order. The woman who answered the phone barely understood English. I had her repeat my order back to me to make sure she had my order correctly placed. I ordered 3 separate meals. Once I got home there were only two meals in the bag. I called to speak to the manager about my missing plate. She wanted to argue with me that she correctly placed my order. The manager got on the phone and was very condescending and rude. He acted like he was doing me a great favor by giving me the 3rd meal that I had ordered for free. He said "Just for this time..." Hey buddy, you screwed up my order!! If they had someone who A. Understands English B. Speaks clear English, this may not have been an issue. Food is decent but the refried beans seemed to be a water consistency.

So this seems like deja vu all over again. I reviewed it once and they moved across the street. Actuallly, I wrote a reivew and many updates, I think. At the time this was the best Mexican in this part of town. Since then times have changed and there are a couple of new kids on the block. But FJ is still pretty good. They first delivered some chips and salsa, both of which put most restaurants to shame. For my lunch I ordered a platter, which came with rice and beans and an enchillada and a chile rellanos. Their rice is better than average, and includes peas and corn. Not a lot of either but it adds some color to the dish. All in all it was a good lunch for the price. BUT, a bummer...they play the music so loud it makes it hard to think. This reason alone would keep me from coming back.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
