I just recently moved super close.....so I had been eyeing Cork for a couple of weeks. Don't be fooled and hesitate trying this place because it's in a weird little strip mall - it will be quite the mistake. The restaurant is quaint - small but has a bar as well as table seating. The decor inside is just beautiful, low lighting give a very cozy feeling. The staff are incredibly nice and attentive. They seem to have a very tight knit, team oriented dynamic between them. The food is out of this world good. I was very impressed, as we're my family. I can't wait to go back to explore the menu more. You must try the prosciutto wrapped shrimp - delish! Their wine selection is wonderful. This is definitely my new go to for eating out close by!

Truffle Bacon Popcorn and Wine.. what else would you ever need?? :) I've driven past this place forever and finally friends suggested we go there for dinner. Menu has something for everyone (and did I mention the Truffle Bacon popcorn?). Wine is list exciting... the place is tiny and quaint. Great happy hour specials. Service was spot on and really fun. However, my $17 Shrimp and Risotto was not the best. Very small portion, I get that it's Tapas... so lower the price a little! Small spoon of Risotto and about 5 Shrimp (with tail still on... I understand the tails are left on during cooking to add to the flavor but it's a pet peeve of mine to have Shrimp with some form of sauce and then i have to either cut the tails off OR use my fingers....bleck!). My shrimp was very over cooked and there just was not enough risotto. The sauce was fantastic and I even ended up using it for popcorn dip. SO it wasn't terrible... but wished the Shrimp would have been more tender and a larger portion of Risotto for my $$. Wait...did I mention the popcorn?? Bacon....Truffle Oil..... shavings of Parm Reggiano... and Popcorn. YUM. I will be back for more wine and popcorn. For sure.

Walked in on a Thurs after 6, greeted and asked if we had reservations. Literally 34 seats, so make a reserv or come early! We found 2 last seats at the bar, other tables were being held for reservations. Fine by me, I prefer bar w just 1 other person. Decided to peruse the wine by the bottle on the wall. The thing that is confusing is what it wasn't immediately clear how they were organized. Once we landed in whites, felt they should've gone left to right on sweetness. But they didn't, they were just mixed. 2nd none of the prices were listed on bottle or list. Weird. We learned the price right before it was opened, only bc we inquired. Thank goodness it was only $26. The wine was ok in my book. It wasn't spit out bad, but I wouldn't get it again. It is a narrow space and kinda awkward when you have a question. But server came over right away to help. Next time I'll just sample by the glass, easier that way and maybe they are better selections. I like things to be easy when I'm out. Now for food: Shrimp w Prosciutto and polenta. Very good, excellent flavor. Arugula salad-nice portion balanced w a lighter dressing. My dinner date had the salmon. She said it lacked "ooompf", it did, overcooked a little. Just kinda forgettable. Shrimp & bucatini w marinara and basil. I didn't taste the chile marinade from the shrimp, they were actually kind of bland. Rest had good flavor. Tad expensive for the portion size. The decor is good w the reclaimed wood but over-the-top tacky w the red curtains. But I have modern taste. The bathroom was super clean which is always impressive. It's prob 3.5 and it is something different for the suburbs.

It's a little pricey but great ambiance and very intimate. The wine selection is from all over and has a great list to choose from. This place is truly a hidden gem. I highly recommend checking it out.

Don't be fooled about the strip mall looking location. Awesome service, great food! Great all around- appetizers, entree and wine options. Server was on top of it - but not overbearing! Food was amazing! Great for an intimate experience or small gathering. Great ambiance with wine options from all over! Server was beyond amazing. Would have been a great experience with mediocre service but was blown away!

I went here today with a friend. It was not my call. Frankly, I had never heard of the place and am not a wine bar kinda guy. But I am open minded. The decor inside is really quite amazing. Whoever did the interior design in this place spared no expense. The colors and textures were stunning. The atmosphere in a small, intimate, romantic setting was as nice as any high end restaurant. While I'm not a pay for the atmosphere kinda guy with a 300% markup on the food, this place doesn't suffer that syndrome. It's far nicer inside than any other high end restaurant in Columbus. I think I've been to most over the years and never found any reason to return to many of them because of the markup extortion. I'm not a wine guy. No wine for me at this place. I had water with lemon. I kid you not, the water tasted like it was filtered. It was not a Scioto cocktail that is served at most restaurants. And the ice was in the water pitcher so refills were not warm water poured over melting ice. A big peeve of mine. When I saw the prices for wine I about fell off my chair. $9-14 a glass? If you can afford this on a regular basis, you should be volunteered into helping people who are making nonliving wages. It's really sort of ridiculous. But, people are going to do what people are going to do. And I am sure this wine is not two buck Chuck from Trader Joe's. So, I'll grant that some people are going to plop down these prices. Especially because the food really isn't terribly expensive. I had the mushroom flatbread and the person I was with had the Waldorf sammich with a side salad. Hey, words don't do the quality of the food any justice. Both were amazing. The mushroom flatbread was one of the best things I have ever stuck in my pie hole. And I have done a lot of sticking. The sammich was amazing too. The salad was uber fresh and of very high quality ingredients. ie, Not a side salad from Wendy's. The flatbread was too much for one person. But I hogged it down. Every last crumb. The service was excellent, cordial and very accommodating. So, if you like good wine and reasonably-priced food that is super-tasty in a beautiful, intimate, romantic setting, this is a great date destination. I definitely give this a big thumbs up. But for us craft beer drinkers, you might stock a few different varieties of bottles. That would hasten my return.

We came here and I got a wine flight and then my husband and I got a few things to share, including the blue burger with a very healthy vinaigrette side salad, a mozzarella flat bread with grape tomatoes and balsamic glaze, and a cheddar and port fondue with toasted bread, pita, and apples for dipping. Everything was wonderful and fresh. The wines had a nice depth of flavor with the moscato that was on the wine list having great floral notes. They said that they also had bottles of wine that we could peruse and drink without a corkage fee. Great atmosphere, food, and wonderful wait staff. We even put in a reservation for 7 for Mother's Day, and this is a small restaurant that probably seats about 30.
(5)Heather L.
The decor and atmosphere was inviting and cute but that was about the only thing we were impressed with. We tried the cheddar fondue and shrimp prosciutto and the only way to describe it is bland. The wine was good but overpriced, not the worst place but wouldn't go back.

The food at Cork Wine and Dine is fantastic!! Go for a glass of wine; stay for the food! I've been to Cork three times; once for dinner and twice for lunch. I've had the Cheddar and Port Fondue, Mediterranean Olives, Cork Salad, Tuscan Chicken Soup, Cheese and Bacon Sandwich, and Mimosa Cupcake. I also snagged a bite of my co-diners' Chocolate Lava and Grilled Lemon Pound Cake. I will repeat that everything was fantastic!!!! Their wine by the glass selection is limited, but they are one of the few places in Columbus that carry my new favorite, Sexual Chocolate, by the bottle. Every time that I've gone the staff has been friendly, and the service has been fast. The location is convenient (especially for me since I live in New Albany) and parking is plentiful. As mentioned in other reviews the space is small. I don't believe it can seat more than 30 at once. Lucky for me, each time I've gone there has been available seating. A line did form while we were there for dinner. Unfortunately, due to the small space there is no convenient place to stand while waiting. In the eight years that I've lived in Columbus' this space has been at least a half dozen restaurants. Cork Wine and Dine is by far the BEST! I hope they are successful and remain in this location for years to come. Did I remember to mention that the food is fantastic?!?!?!?!?!

A friend of mine who used to live in Gahanna visits his family at Christmas time. He flew in a couple of days early and we were looking for a place to go that was a halfway point between Gahanna and Clintonville. I told him that the word on the street was that Gahanna had a couple of new foodie restaurants open in the last two years. We were able to get into Cork Wine and Dine (It was close to Christmas so it's always iffy). It's a charming place to have a glass of wine. We both chose a very tasty anyone that lives there. I would like to go back with with my friend a second time.

Had lunch here Saturday. Weekend lunch is the best time to check this place out for hardly anyone's there. Good thing because this place is small, VERY small-only seats 35. Thus, not good for groups. Apparently many are turned away for dinner. Think of it as an extremely small version of The Wine Bistro (who own Cork as well.) Dinner tip? Make a reservation. They have bottles of wine for sale (priced higher than retail, stated by staff) that they will gladly open for you to try before you buy. All Wine Bottles $10 off on Mondays and Tuesdays, yet, I'm not entirely sure if this includes NOT dining in. I'd assume not. We had the Butchers Choice $20 (8 oz NY Strip) and the Cheese and Bacon Sandwich Board $11 (a Burger; no "board"...?) The steak was a little undercooked (a lot of pink when specified Medium Well), thus a little chewy, and the burger overcooked (no pink when specified Medium Rare.) Perhaps they got is backwards-possible. The burger's bottom bun was saturated in the meat's juices. Not enough time to rest? This happens at many places-the soggy bottom bun. It had a lot of what looked like a dressed Arugula on top, which was good. Perhaps that should go underneath the burger as well. The steak's "herb bouquet" was a small sprig of rosemary. Nice, but not as bountiful or aromatic as "bouquet" might suggest. The Bleu cheese in the risotto cakes was a little much-perhaps Gorgonzola would be less of a biting distraction? Beyond all this the food was hot and fresh. We did not indulge in dessert for Just Pies down the street was calling my name. Check out their site for the full food and wine menus. Service is informed and helpful. Parking's tight and you might have to park at Kohl's and walk over.

I am blown away by the recent handful of one-star reviews here. Everyone is entitled to free speech (cue a Duck Dynasty reference...wait, scratch that...bad idea...abort, abort), but some of their comments came across rude and a little crazy. But enough about them; let's talk about *my* experiences at Cork Wine and Dine... I've been twice - once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times were fantastic. I'll go ahead and throw out my one gripe, and then we can move on to the good stuff. The arrangement inside kinda sucks. All of the tables are set up as four-fers, which means that oftentimes there's a line waiting at the door while there are many empty seats beside the parties of two. Some of the tables are even two two-fers smooshed together - but there's really no room to ever spread them apart for a couple. That's really the only bummer at Cork. Now let's talk about the good stuff... -Interior- This place is really cute. Almost kitschy, but it doesn't quite cross the line. Is it the way I would decorate my house? Of course not. Everything is extremely warm, inviting, and casual. it's a very intimate setting that encourages lots of conversation with friends. -The food- Everyone I've been with loves the food. Some of the stand-outs for me are: * Salads - fresh, delicious, and with amazing bacon * Port fondue - yes, it's purple, but it's *so* good * Proscuitto-wrapped grilled shrimp and polenta - it's pretty much shrimp and grits, y'all...and it's delish! * Any of the desserts, but especially the warm chocolate thing (sorry about the name!) -The service- These people pour their hearts into the service. I've never had anyone less than stellar, and the owner (I think?) has come to check on us during both visits. -In the end- I really like Cork Wine and Dine. Sure, it's in a strip mall in the 'burbs - who cares? Whenever I have a dinner date out East, I'll totally come back.

I went to Cork with a couple friends for the first time this weekend. Upon arriving I was very surprised at how small this place was! Luckily, I had read on here to make reservations or else we would have never gotten a table. We each ordered a flight, which gave us an opportunity to try new wines and also comes in these cute numbered racks! We split the grape and Gorgonzola flatbread, the cheese plate and prosciutto wrapped shrimp. Everything we got was great, and the prices were very reasonable! Our waitress was awesome and knowledgeable. I will be returning very soon!

Just happen to see the word 'Cork' while at the intersection of Morse and Hamilton. What's that? I don't even know what it is, but cork = wine = I'm in. What a quaint and pleasant surprise! The wine selection was above average and the happy hour prices a deal. I even found a vineyard that I visited while in Napa on the by-the-glass menu. Hubs had a Grenache blend which was spicy and full. Ambiance? Small but interesting. What made it right in the world for me was the bluesy tunes and oh so right lighting. We didn't come for food but ordered the cheese port fondue and it was so tasty I could have had 3 more bowls of it. Pared perfectly with the red I was drinking. Glad I saw the sign and will make it back here next time we are up this way.

Excellent customer service from the time I made my reservation to the time we left after the meal. Employees were knowledgeable about the wine selections. Small menu but good selection. Very tasty dishes.
(5)Carlos E.
Great service and the food was delicious. It's a bit pricey, but you pay for what you get. We arrived right before the kitchen closed and the staff (Ryan) was still really friendly and patient. Good if you want a private environment for your dinner! Good job!

The wait can be pretty painful. Hopefully it settles down now that it's not brand new, but, probably not. They only have like 8 tables total. The food was amazing. It's a small menu of gourmet but not ridiculous selections. There are Kale chips which sounds a little too frou-four but taste AMAZING. Pasta is good, a few good sandwiches. The price for said food seemed about right, which is to say, it's not cheap, but it's about I would expect to pay for real food that hasn't been warmed in a microwave. The service was also quite good. They know their menu, now their wines, and were prompt without pressuring (despite the people waiting behind us). And what pushed it up to 5 stars for me was the location. It's not downtown, it's not in Grandview. You can get parking and it's near me. It probably isn't worth driving across the city for, but if you're already nearby, it's a much better local option than the nearby chains. @Holli D. - Honey, you should really try the Olive Garden across the street.

So, after three weeks of perusing the menu my significant other and I finally visited. Positives first...... We stopped by on a Friday evening at 5. We made reservations to be on the safe side and were immediately seated. The restaurant was not busy at that time but while we were seated we saw others turned away because they did not have reservations. Our waiter was "Scott" if I remember correctly and he was lovely. Very polite, attentive, informative, just fantastic all around. The interior was great. Cozy, comfortable, inviting, etc. etc. And negatives........ We visited during happy hour and took advantage of the $5 glasses of wine. Both of our choices were mediocre at best. You had 4 reds and 4 whites to chose from and I can say two of the Reds were nothing I would ever order again. We ordered the cheese plate and it was fine. The naan and bread was plentiful, the two chef cheese choices were unique ( my partner didn't care for one of them due to the heat involved) but not spectacular. The Boursin was delicious though, and again, the bread was good and plentiful. The plate came with fruit which consisted of a sad bunch of grapes. REALLY sad. They were very small, tart, and at least a half dozen of them were rotten. How do you miss that? Also the two strawberries were under ripe and tart. Just disappointing. Next, she ordered the shrimp wrapped in prosciutto (small plate) and I order the salmon (main dish). I just want to end this review with stating the were both mediocre at best. The salmons flavor was somewhat bland, the potatoes on the side were forgettable, and the asparagus was overcooked. My partner was confuser by all the extras in the plate. Raw onion, weird dark sauce, just didn't seem to go together. So, overall...... It's fine. But we probably won't go back with all the other options in the area.

Great addition to the neighborhood!! This is a small, intimate and beautifully decorated restaurant. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a great dining experience, They helped us pick out the perfect bottle of wine! They have over 125 bottles of wine to choose from and a very nice glass list. The food was fresh and delicious. The salmon entrée was out of this world. Also try the kale chips and the peasant bread. We had the bread pudding and the grilled pound cake for dessert and they were great! Cannot wait to go back to this little gem!!

5 stars isn't enough! Whether you want a romantic evening with that special one, or just a great place to have fantastic food and amazing service, this should be top on your list. The first time my wife and I dined here was NYE. Yes the seating is tight but that adds to the quaint, big city like atmosphere. Service here is exceptional! One of the owners kept joking with me throughout the night which just added to the fantastic experience. Wine choices are plentiful and they will allow you to taste test anything. The food is very fresh, not overly seasoned and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Try the Truffle Popcorn as an appetizer - you won't be disappointed. The Cinnamon Apple Custard will cap off any dinner experience with a bang. The decor is comfortable, extremely clean, quaint and warm. Even the restrooms are a cut above the rest with modern sinks that have HOT water on tap, hand lotion and mouthwash. Some may say the seating is tight, which it is, but it's far from uncomfortable or problematic. Cork is truly a hidden diamond in a sea of cubic zirconia restaurants in Central Ohio.

Went to Cork with my wife a few nights ago. Place was very nicely decorated, albeit quite small. It was also dead...but it was a Sunday night. We went straight to the bar as we usually do...because we *usually* like interacting with the bartender. So we go to the bar and my wife attempts to order a glass of Chardonnay. She is told they are out of that brand and she'd have to select another. Further, she said theyd stop carrying that brand anyway. The problem was that the only other available brand cost $13 / glass. No offense, but in our opinion paying $13 for a glass of wine is ok if you're at a fine dining establishment...not some place located in a strip mall next to Kohls. Anyway, the bartender told us that the problem is that "Chardonnay is hard" - meaning: it's not easy to find good Chardonnays for a decent price. I'm sorry, but that's crap. She went on to say that it really depends on the lady who does their buying to decide whether they would carry something more affordable. Anyway, we decided to skip it and move on to another restaurant with more affordable options. It really stinks too, because we'd really like this place to be great because its so close to our house. Hope they change their buying strategy and soon! Ok - so I have to provide this update. Since I posted the review above (which I still stand behind, by the way), some guy named Wayne S. - who I assume is somehow affiliated with Cork - has been stalking me...commenting on every review I write. Now, it's a very small annoyance. I generally just hit DELETE and move on. However, it's turned borderline creepy now. I'm not sure if this guy is the owner of Cork or somehow otherwise affiliated with the business, but...if he is, I can see why the service was so bad the night when my wife and I tried the place. Like I said - I wanted to like the place. I really did. We just found the staff to be way too snooty for our liking. When we suggested they carry a reasonably-priced Chardonnay by the glass, we were simply told "well, we're doing just fine, so..." Basically, the end of that statement was: "...we really don't need your business." That was our major gripe. I totally didn't expect "Wayne S." to stalk me forever after.

This is an intimate, beautifully decorated restaurant. I went for lunch and had the fondue, Cork salad, and flatbread. It was all delicious. The wine selection is wonderful as well. I can't wait to go back!
(5)Gary S.
Great little spot located in a strip mall. The decor and general atmosphere help you to forget that once inside. I've eaten there once so far and had glasses of wine and apps. another. Will definitely make this place a regular stop.
(5)Michael H.
What a wonderful find so close to me. I've been here a number of times and have always had a great experience. They have numerous wines to chose by the glass or over 120+ by the bottle. You can also order a sample flight if you're not sure what you want. The food is amazing...I would recommend the wrapped shrimp, hummus, or peasant bread with 3 house made spreads. Your visit wouldn't be complete without trying one of their cupcakes, visit often since the flavor changes.

I was so excited when Cork first opened, and finally had a free night to check it out. We will not be back. We went in for wine and dessert (they only had reservations available after 830. I was surprised they even took reservations). The decor was a cross between a cheap restaurant and a winery. The service was mediocre at best, and after reading other reviews - I'm suspecting our waitress is the Manager/Owner. Four of us each ordered a flight of three wines, and none of us liked a single wine we tried. We never made it to dessert, because our waitress never checked on us, and the menu didn't suggest they had any (after reading another review, apparently they do). It was hard to talk because the tables are right on top of each other. After walking out, we each agreed we would never be back, and stick with our local winery - Wyandotte, where we actually enjoy the atmosphere, talking with the employees, and (most importantly), the wine.
(1)Yvonne R.
This place is very cute although small. That isn't a problem as it is a more quaint atmosphere and the seating was very cozy. The food was good but I couldn't give it more than 2 stars simply because of the wine prices. I do know a thing or two about retail prices and a bottle that I know is state minimum of $14 was priced at $33 on their shelf for retail. I was absolutely shocked. I thought it might have just been a mistake so I checked other bottles I knew and sure enough they were all priced double or more the state minimum. I met a friend there because it was an "in the middle spot" and when she told me she was thinking of taking a bottle home I discouraged her. I just don't think there is any reason for a small restaurant/wine shop to charge these prices. It isn't necessary. Our service was fine, not over the top because there was only one person taking care of all of the tables as well as the bar. The food was good, we had grilled peasant bread and a grape and gorgonzola flat bread. Again, I just can't recommend a place that I know has their wines priced that high.
(2)D R.
Wonderful food, staff, and decor! Great addition to gahanna dining scene. Love, love, love the fondue and hearts of fire. Bread was awesome and staff was very nice and attentive but not over bearing. Team knew their wine!!!! We went with friends and will be back again!

I have been to Cork four times now and each time I try something different and everything is so good! I love the poached salmon. The soups are also delicious and filling. The flatbreads are unique and quite tasty, enough to share. Two of my visits we got the "share-able" plates and even had some leftovers to take home! What I like best about Cork is the ambiance. Very comfy seating. And the wine flights are always the way to go. Check out the wine bottle lighting - beautiful! Our server Nicole is VERY knowledgeable about all the wine and all the dishes. You just can't go wrong here. Check it out!
