Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

This was a takeout order. Sweet and Sour chicken came with sweet ketchup sauce and nothing else. No peppers or pineapple & onion, just chicken and sauce. Egg rolls had 2 fresh and one re-fried. The re fried (warmed up by placing already cooked eggroll back in to the grease) was saturated with oil. Crab Rangoon was good. Szechuan chicken was rubbery chicken in pinkish sauce with very little seasoning .White rice was good and the fried rice was not quite right? Shrimp and broccoli came with nice sized and nicely cooked shrimp but lacked any flavor. Nothing was hot. Perhaps this was a bad night or the regular chef was not there. If mediocre is your thing then this place is amazing.

Small restaurant completely devoid of ambiance, Amazing Wok offers your typical Chinese fare, freshly prepared and promptly served. AW's hot and sour soup always leaves me wanting for more, as did its char siu (BBQ pork) before the appearance of the new kid on the block known as Sunrise Market. Unlike other fast food places, AW's dishes are not plagued with MSG, so you don't have to worry about the sucka sending your brain cells to overdrive. Very amicable owners. Fair prices for the behemoth portion sizes. Seriously consider the carryout option though!

A good basic Chinese take-out restaurant-- there is some seating, but space is limited and the interior is kind of dismal. I got the pork fried rice, which was $6.95 for a generous portion, and will probably last me two meals. Cons: cash only; my takeout order didn't come with utensils or sauce.

For good Chinese take-out, this humble place is my favorite. They are very consistent in their quality. For quite a few years I have patronized this little restaurant and I have been very satisfied 95% of the time, which is probably as good as it gets most anywhere. They offer large and regular portions of many of their dinners. Their beef and broccoli stir fry is one of their best items. They never overcook the broccoli, so it is excellent. I highly recommend that choice although they offer many other choices. Prices, while not cheap, seem reasonable for the high quality you are getting. Overall, they do good wok!

My 4-star rating is a tad generous, but I just can't deny Amazing Wok. It's the most comfortingest of comfort Americanized Chinese food for me. I grew up near here, so this is the Chinese food by which I compare all other Chinese food. To me, everything is either better or worse than Amazing Wok. Nostalgia aside, Amazing Wok does a good job with fresh ingredients. The wonton soup is a little bit devoid of veggies, but it's still my standard order. The sweet-and-sour chicken is served dry, with the sauce on the side. I love this aspect, as you don't run the risk of the S&S chicken being completely sticky sweet. The fried chicken is light and puffy... mmmm. The interior hasn't been updated since we started coming in the early 1990's, if ever. It could use a facelift, that's for sure. So... carryout it is. Also, they are cash only-- which seems like an unnecessary inconvenience, but whatevs.

Called the "Poison Wok" by some, this is the nastiest Chinese place you will ever eat at. On the other hand, if you need to lose weight fast, the free food poisoning will have you dropping those pounds with alaming rapidity. STAY AWAY.

This is my favorite Chinese carryout around. Always consistent and tasty. Wonderful little family that owns it are always a pleasure to see. I have tried other ones like it around the area and this place is so much better. Fresh...sauces are not heavy and the soups are flavorful but none of their food is salty or too seasoned. I pick up carryout from there 2 to 3 times a week and always have leftovers. This is my go-to place for carryout!
