I should start off by saying I'm not a donut connoisseur of any sort but I like to think that Jack Frost has exceeded all of my expectations in terms of delicious donuts. Not only did I beat the chaotic rush of the shop, but I was greeted by one of the most friendliest women ever. As I write this review, I must remind myself that donuts are not their own food group--though I believe they should be. Fresh and tasty donuts along with a friendly and welcoming staff makes for an excellent experience. Bravo!

**THE FOLLOWING REVIEW HAS BEEN REVISED** I got married last week and my husband and I had intentions early on of getting these fantastic donuts for our guest gifts at our reception. We used a different local donut shop(George's Donuts in Hudson) instead. I tried every means of communication to order them, going back months. I was calling them a couple days a week going back months before the reception and leaving messages, even e-mails to the manager's personal e-mail address I was given. I never got any response whatsoever. Eventually I sent my fiancee up there in the early am (the manager is apparently the only one who can take wedding orders and is only there very specific times of the morning), and talked with the manager, who promised to call us in a couple days to set up the order. This NEVER HAPPENED. It was becoming a workplace comedy with my co-workers who watched this happen for months. Overall, I wasted a lot of time, effort, and unnecessary pre-wedding stress trying to get them to work with us and was completely blown off. I very seriously do not think they must need the large order/money and free advertising we offered them. It's a real shame. I have loved their donuts, but I have a terrible taste in my mouth when I think of them now. (The above review was edited to reflect that we were dealing with the manager, not the owner as we originally thought.) Since this review was posted the owner and his wife both contacted us personally to find out exactly what went wrong so that it could be dealt with, and hopefully never happens again. They went way above and beyond to try to make amends and offer their sincerest apologies for this unfortunate series of events. This exceptional attention to customer service and loyalty has caused us to revise our review from one to four stars. We are certainly happy to have this resolved to everyone's satisfaction, as we truly love Jack Frost donuts, we have been customers for years and will continue to be so!

Read the reviews and was pleased to say it exceeded the lofty expectations. Every donut is topped with a mountain of frosting and if loving that is wrong, I don't want to be right. I tried the maple bacon donut, M&M, and Orange Crush. The maple bacon was one of the best maple bacon donuts I have ever had, mainly due to the excellent maple frosting -not to sweet and not too "maple-y". The M&M donut was great. I ordered to Orange Crush mainly for the novelty but was impressed by the quality -it's like a Dreamsicle and was fantastic! Will definitely stop by when I am in Cleveland again.

Yum. There are so many varieties all out on display. I bought a couple dozen to bring in to work and everyone was asking where I got them. The lady working there was really helpful with my indecisiveness about which ones to pick out. I didn't get to try them all though so I'll have to go back. Don't forget to bring cash!

In the area from out of town and came in for a visit given the great advice of my fellow Yelp friends. The great reviews are so right. The location is on a corner and looks a bit dated on the outside - don't let this keep you away. They are cash only - so make sure you're prepared. Approx. $11 for a dozen which is a great deal for fresh homemade donuts. We got a dozen of assorted varieties. The glazed chocolate cake were great with a little crisp on the outside. The chocolate frosted cake donuts are super flavorful and love the thick chocolate coating and the wonderful piled high buttercream. The maple bacon was a wonderful mix of salty and sweet with fresh bacon bits and maple frosting on a yeast donut. The yeast donuts are not your ordinary yeast donuts - they are glazed perfect with almost a creamy mouth feel - stick in the microwave for 10 seconds - you will thank me later. German Chocolate donut is a glazed chocolate cake with pecan/coconut frosting and the wonderful piled high chocolate buttercream. My only concern is that there are no labels on any of the donuts which is fine for locals who may visit more often - but makes it difficult to decide without feeling really annoying to the staff and the line behind you. This shouldn't deter you at all though - The donuts are an absolute must try!

I'm a donut expert, and these are the best. Raspberry crullers and salted caramel are my favorite. Remember to bring cash!

Hands down the best donuts in Cleveland! They have fantastic specialty donuts like salted caramel, key lime pie, maple bacon, and other seasonal creations. (It's pumpkin season- so yep, they've got pumpkin pie). Don't discount the traditional donuts like glazed- simple and perfect. If you get there early enough you can snag an apple fritter to share with your favorite person. They are huge, delightful and only about $4. Currently they are renovating their original store, so they are in a smaller nearby store. Can't wait to see the new store! Remember to bring CASH!!

Pretty good donuts. Very tasty and fresh. I'm not good at describing donuts, but I had one with white cream and another with chocolate cream. I came at about 3pm and the selection was very minimal. Actually this was the second time I visited. I tried a few days earlier, but they only had six plain donuts left. Supposedly they are open till 8, but they are all gone by early evening. Looks like the locals love this place. I'll try them again the next time I'm in the area and be sure to get there when they open for the best selection. Minus 1 star for the run down dumpy external appearance. Minus 1 star for lack of selection 5 hours before closing.

I really don't get the hype. I love donuts, and was extremely dissapointed with what I found here. The donuts my friend and I got were heavy with soaked up grease, overly sweet and too rich to think of finishing. If that's your cup of tea, then enjoy it before your early grave. Just, no. I realize donuts are supposed to be an indulgence, but I like a little subtlety with my calorie rich foods. The Sun-like density of the calories in this donut were literally obvious from just picking up one of these hunks of edible lead.

If you're reading this and haven't been yet, then let me start by saying- BRING CASH!!! Okay, that being said, Jack Frost Donuts is a pretty good doughnut shop in an area where apparently doughnuts are not worshiped as the almighty mother of all bakery items as they should be. If we were in a larger city where specialty doughnut bakeries are a dime-a-dozen, I probably would say 'eh, they're alright'. The doughnuts are a little on the small side but for a half dozen under $6, you can't beat it. I disliked both the fried doughnuts I got (strawberry and maple). The strawberry was actually so bad I spit it out- I'm not sure if it was the doughnut or the icing but something tasted sour and nasty. The other 4 I bought were: Maple Bacon - Pretty decent if you like bacon on your doughnuts. A nice combination of sweet and salty. Cookies and Cream - Pretty disappointing if you're expecting cookies and cream. It was a plain cake doughnut with a lot of plain frosting. Fat Elvis - These were great. The banana was not mushy, the peanut butter icing was not overly rich and the bacon added the perfect amount of salt. Boston Creme - The absolute best Boston creme I've ever had. This is how it should be done. I would give this place 5 stars had I ordered just 6 of these bad boys. I believe our city has low standards when it comes to doughnuts, and as a doughnut lover myself, I hope to change that. In the meantime, Jack Frost Donuts is definitely one of the better bakeries in Northeast Ohio and definitely worth checking out- just choose wisely and BRING CASH.

I don't really like donuts but I heard this place is great, and I'll try anything once, so I decided to pick up a dozen and bring them into work the other day. I had to wait in line and there were people coming in after me as well, everyone was ordering 2 or 3 dozen donuts! I suppose this proved they are indeed popular and tasty! The lady who helped me with my order was personable, the place seemed clean, and the donuts did look quite nice. Oh and just a note, you have to pay with cash or check as they do not accept credit cards. Back to the donuts. I got a variety and my co-workers all said they tasted really good so that is what I am basing my review on. I did eat one and it was A-Ok, but it tasted like a regular donut to me so I can't really rate it on taste since it's not my thing, but I would definitely suggest this place to anyone who likes donuts! A dozen was only $10.95, so super cheap too!

Yep - this place deserves every star I gave it... and every star everyone else gave it. I've had the donuts before (when people at work had them) and always meant to go in and grab some of my own, but never made it there till this morning. I know some people have an issue with the location / old building - but people... Jack Frost only cares about the quality of the donuts! and it's apparent - they're SO good! Got a half dozen this morning..... and an apple fritter..... (don't worry, I'm going to share!) Donuts included: blueberry, pumpkin, peanut butter chocolate, caramel apple, reeses peanut butter cup, and salted caramel. Pumpkin= amazing. Blueberry = amazing. The apple fritter is the size of my head... if not bigger! The 6 donuts were in a smaller box... apple fritter, in a box made for a dozen (granted, it didn't take up the entire box, but still... huge) All in all, spent $9.25 and it was mainly because of the fritter. 1/2 dozen is less than 6 dollars! Amazingly fresh donuts... amazingly cheap prices... sweet people behind the counter - what's there not to love?!? (PS bring cash or a check- no credit/debit here)

Jeeze oh Pete you'd thot I brought in a box of lobster tails last Friday morning????? There weren't many people in the office for Good Friday so I grabbed just short of two dozen thinking I would be taking home a few when the office closed... Yeah right... They saw the label on the box and went all Spider Monkey crazy and NOTHING was left after about an hour.... Holy crap coworkers....Sure I got the obligatory "thanks buddy" and "oooh I LOOOOOOOOOOVE Jack Frost"! But you'da thunk that these people hadn't EVER had a doughnut before... So now I sit here rethinking putting out extra Easter candy as the Maelstrom might return... I think I will be fine though as commercial candy does NOT compare to Jack Frost Donuts.... Right?

Need an idea for a fun girls' day out? Stop by Jack Frost then head to the Cleveland Zoo to watch wild animals reenact what you just did with your donuts. (That's actually exactly how I found this place lol). Like others have mentioned, you need to bring cash, be prepared to wait in a VERY long line (which seems to go pretty quickly), and bust out those sunglasses when you reach the glass counters so as not to be blinded by these sugary beauties. I enjoyed the apple fritter, maple bacon, and crullers. The salted caramel was also a memorable choice. You honestly can't go wrong with any of them and be prepared to surprise your digestive system with at least 3 donuts in rapid succession. Unlike other donut places, these delights are light, flavorful, and not sickening. The proportions are always correct, so that you never feel like you're being shortchanged on filling, topping, or dough. They really are special and that becomes clear when you meet people waiting in line that have traveled hours (that's right) to sample some of these treats. Count yourself lucky if you live nearby!

God bless Jack Frost donuts. After seeing the Plain Dealer articles and reviews from the 2014 NEO Best Donut competition (I can't believe I didn't know such a thing existed until now), all I could think about was the maple bacon donut. It did not disappoint. My first visit to their shop was a true success. I walked out with a dozen donuts, enough to share with family and friends, all for less than $10 (1 dozen: $9.45!- bring cash!! ), and had a pleasant conversation with the staff. First purchase included flavors pumpkin spice, chocolate peanut butter, apple cinnamon, chocolate cake, salted caramel, maple bacon, and a French cruller. The maple bacon is one of the best things I've ever eaten. Perfectly sweet and salty. My parents, who are uneasy about straying away from the standard glaze, went crazy for the chocolate, salted caramel, and pumpkin spice. Freshly baked, fluffy, frosting and toppings galore (but never too much!), the donut shop one dreams of. I was surprised at how balanced the pumpkin spice was- it was flavorful and sweet, but not tooth ache causing or overpowering. So much that one could inhale a few of them in a sitting. Can't wait to go back. After I run off this batch that is.

It's my first time trying the Jack Frost Donuts. The place is a little small but what you expect from donut stores? The lady there was so friendly. She helped us to pick the donuts cause we got overwhelmed by tons of different donuts and flavors! I tried my first sprinkle donut out of a box of dozen I got, and it tasted like heaven! For sure I will come back for more. Even the peanut butter frost was totally mesmerized me! If you're a peanut butter lover then you should totally get the donut with the pb frost. Speaking of frost, the frost they have on the donuts are amazing. They don't get messy in the box even though they get pressed by the top of the box unlike any other soft frost. It's totally worth two hours drive from Columbus. I love Jack Frost Donuts!!!

This place was so good! Like omg best doughnuts ever! We bought a dozen doughnuts for $10.95. The salted caramel doughnut and the maple bacon doughnut was our favorites. Overall my whole family thought the doughnuts were the best we have ever had.

Uhh if you're on a diet than don't even think about it. Come here early because they run out pretty fast! You MUST try their maple bacon and pumpkin. They only take cash but seriously you can buy several donuts from the change you will find in your couch. Go home, eat the mouth-watering donut(s), weep, and then get on that treadmill.

  • Arianna W.

The peanut butter donuts are sooooooo good but now I think the cinnamon sugar-Carmel apple donuts are my new favorite. I ate it in the parking lot and automatically wanted to get more. They have a huge variety but get there early before all the good ones are gone! The new lady behind the counter is super friendly also.

I get why this place has an insane number of 5 star reviews. Salted caramel donut Glazed Cherry Cake Donut Maple Bacon donut with maple whipped cream Sweet insantiy. All for less than 10 bucks a dozen. EAT THAT DUNKIN DONUTS!!!! I will admit though, I considered giving this place a 4 - 4.5 star review because no matter what you do, no matter your self control, no matter what insane diet you're on, you're going to stuff your self silly with sweet deliciousness (to the point where you lie groaning on a couch, holding your belly, in pain, but still super happy, as you write a yelp review - not that I'd know from experience). Sigh. I wonder if I should have bought the dozen instead of the half....

There is some kind of subtle and divine flavor in the batter of these doughnuts. I can't put my finger on it and I don't think it's lard, but I suppose it could be. Whatever it is, it makes these doughnuts the king of all doughnuts. These doughnuts reign supreme. And then to top them off, their frostings and fillings are also first rate. Maple bacon, maple bacon, maple bacon. mmmmmmmm The crullers are really good too. And ones with lemon filling. And classic glazed and cake. It's all good. The maple bacon is definitely the star though.

OH MY JF DONUTS! I may be in heaven, or some lesser version of heaven. Donut Heaven to be exact! This cute little old-school cake donut shop. They have donuts of every possible kind. I know I saw an apple fritter the size of my head there too. The donut ladies were funny, sassy, and cool. I loved the way they bantered with each other and the guests. They were great about putting together a 2 doz of mixed glorious donut goodness together for me. And my 2 doz donuts were only $18 and some change. You can't go wrong with the price! Cash only establishment. So search in your couch cushions, under your car seat, and pick up those pennies littered on the sidewalk. You're going to want to run, not walk to JF Donuts (plus it will burn a few of the many calories your going to have to eat of all that amazing Donut goodness)! I bet you can't just buy one!

Best Damn Donuts in #CLE! I love everything about this place: the scruffy exterior, cheap prices, long history (since 1937!) and of course the made from scratch crazy good donuts! They have the perfect mix of classic and cool flavors - truly something for everyone. My must have - the pumpkin. I also have been known to scarf down classic glazed, salted caramel, and maple bacon to name a few of the yum that awaits you. You can even grab a cup of coffee for the road. Call ahead to make sure they have your favorite flavors and most importantly - BRING CASH! No credit/debit accepted.

  • Adam H.

Amazing cake donuts! These things are huge, topped with premium goodies, and priced to go. They have axing mouthwatering flavors with some of the best combinations you can think of. From Reese cup donuts to classic styles. They nail the dough itself too. Heavier and a little more flavorful but a perfect balance for the sweet toppings. If you love donuts, and you want to support a local favorite, this is your place. Give em a try!

    (5)
  • Eric M.

Their donuts are amazing. It seems like they have some of the crazier ones on the weekend. During the week it's more of the typical flavors which are just amazing in themselves. But bring cash, no credit cards accepted.

  • Sean S.

Best donut I've ever tasted. From the look on the outside you won't expect the donuts to be so good. I live in Maryland now and I always think of the donuts. I try to stop by every time I'm in Cleveland. The bacon donut is just WOW, a must have.

Go early. They run out late in the afternoon. Ranking of our 6: 1. Bacon - must eat 2. Glazed - must eat 3. Coconut crunch - tasty 4. Fruit filled - ehh. Worth a bite 5. Salted caramel - ehh. Worth a bite 6. Powdered sugar with cream. Don't bother with this one the cream is tasteless. Cash only. No seating.

  • Precious R.

You haven't truly had a donuts until you've been to Jack Frost! The donuts are always fresh & have really good flavors to choose from. The donuts are light, soft, & sweet. They don't taste massed produce like dunkin & Krispy Kreme. Did I mention they are really inexpensive? Love this place!

    (5)
  • Rachel L.

Don't let the outside of the shop fool you - these are the best doughnuts I've had in a long time. I'm not a Cleveland local, so I don't know how they measure up to others in the area, but when I was visiting my friend and Jack Frost was honored with the "best doughnut in Cleveland," I knew I had to try it. I apologize for not knowing their true/real names (rather than asking, I just stared at the glass and pointed in awe like an idiot), but here are some of the kinds we got: - Bacon maple. Shut up. I love bacon, I love maple frosting, and this guy took those loves to the next level. Crispy, salty bacon on top of sweet, rich frosting. Awesome. - Salted caramel. My friend's mom and dad fought over it because they both took a bite and were furious we just got one. I didn't get a chance to taste it myself (it was gone in a few minutes), but it was described as incredible. - Cinnamon with apple preserves on top: nuts. My friend's cousin said "I'll just have a bite..." and it was gone in seconds. Some people have said that the doughnuts are small, and it's true that I've had bigger ones, but I feel like if they were any larger, I wouldn't have been able to stop eating and felt gross afterward. Rather, the size was perfect for a quick snack - and left room for you to try more.

  • E P.

Wow. Some of the richest most decadent donuts I've ever had. My favorite was the maple glazed. The place is small but the taste is big.

  • Kori T.

Great donuts, crappy service. Called to have an order made for pick up and the woman on phone treated me as if I was unimportant and as if they didn't wish to have me purchase anything. Very unfortunate because they have amazing donuts. Not sure if I'll be back to purchase any again. Maybe get nicer/better employees. Horrible customer service.

  • Nathasja T.

Us & a random lady both walk in at the same time. The woman worker asks whom she can help and we both say, this is the first time I'm here, I am from out of state. Turns out she too was from Michigan and lived not too far away from us. Random start of a review reliving a random Michigander-in-Indiana moment - you are welcome! Cutting to the chase, Jack Frost is the shiznit. I don't even really like donuts but these puppies are something else! Stick to the simple ones, sometimes simple really is better. The salted caramel was good, albeit it sticky, near impossible to eat and overly sweet. My favorite donut out of the many (specialty) ones we ordered was the cherry cake donut, it tasted like delicious marachino cherries. This is ironic, considering I don't like the actual cherries but I love stuff that is flavored like/with them. My husband too liked his somewhat plain old-fashioned donut. Either way, all of them were good in their own right and with a selection like theirs you will find your own favorite soon enough. The journey to find that special one, well - that is the fun part!

  • Nicole B.

The doughnuts are absolutely delicious.. When compared to Dunkin it's like McDonalds VS Flemings Steak House. No comparison. Just try them.. Your taste buds will thank you

    (5)
  • Gina C.

Even the lack of credit card acceptance wasn't enough to justify not giving this place 5 stars. The donuts were outrageously awesome. Soooo gooey. But the star of the show was the $3.25 apple fritter as big as a dinner plate smothered in sticky apple pie filling. Don't go and expect to enjoy your donut in the shop because there are zero seats.

  • Miss Fluffybuns S.

Love this little cute shop! I got a dozen of random deliciousness and it wasn't even $11! That's a deal! Definitely coming back here next time I need to pick up donuts before work.

  • Rodney W.

Stopped in to Jack Frost the other day to surprise my co-workers with some donuts. I expected them to be dilectible because I have eaten here before. So I stopped in around 7:00 AM and there was donut-a-plenty still. I let the worker choose which variety to fill my dozen with by by saying, 'surprise me'. At work, I was an immediate superstar during the staff meeting. Yeah, I'm bad. That's right! I brought Jack Frost donuts! I'll do it again too. Everyone was raving about these bad boys. This is donuts done right.

  • Amber G.

I live 2 streets away - grew up here and bought a house here....30 years old and still visiting! I loved going here after school, walking up and ordering a few donuts with my friends. Although I can no longer do so as often as when I was a kid, I do stop and get donuts for my family at least once a month or so. They are truly the best donuts ever. I think the toughest part is living so near....we smell them baking and frying the donuts before bed, and early in the morning. Yum. Parking is limited, and they only take cash or check.

    (5)
  • Ashlee D.

I have loved these donuts since I was a kid! The smiley face fry cakes are my all time favorite. I feel like over the years the recipe has changed a little bit because I don't remember them being so sweet, but still they are amazing. They have followed the donut trend and came up with some new flavors, but the classic is still the best.

  • Allison S.

So good we almost OD'd on Donuts in our hotel room. I do not think I can actually express in words how much we all loved the Donuts here. I am really glad i live hours away because these things could become a serious problem if they were closer. Also the young woman who helped us was very very sweet (almost as sweet as the custard filled) and knowledgeable about the doughnuts. If I had business in the area i would try and steal her. Next time we are anywhere nearby we will definitely be back.

Maybe I caught this place on the wrong day, but we didn't get anything great here. Good donuts, but nothing I would go out of the way for. Very friendly service, so that was a plus.

"You'll be back." That's what she told me as I walked out--half dozen in hand, bug-eyed and smiling ear to ear like one of their signature donuts--after finding out it was my first time there. Let me tell you, after devouring that half dozen in less than 24 hours, she wasn't kidding. Let's rewind a bit though. I walked in, overwhelmed by all the unlabeled varieties. After standing there with a stupid look on my face pretending I knew what the hell I was looking at, I caved in and begged her to list all of the varieties. Like clockwork, she took me down each tray and spouted them off one by one, nonstop, all in one breath. She was nuts. I was impressed. There were at least 30 varieties. I wanted to leap over the trays of crullerchocolatecrullerstrawberrycrullertoastedcoconutwhitecremechocolatecremesaltedcaramelblueberryfillingraspberryfillinglemonfillingstrawberryfillingpeachfillingapplefillingraspberryglazedbananasplitvanillacustardgermanchocolateblahblahbsjdlfajsd;fja and give her the highest of fives if I wasn't stuck trying to play back the last 10 seconds in my mind to see if I could remember half of what she listed. There was one donut that definitely stood out though, and that was the "Elvis". The Elvis is a banana custard donut topped with a large dollop of peanut butter creme and bacon bits. I'll give you a moment to clean the drool off your keyboard................ Okay. Obviously I had to get my hands on this glorious beast, and it did not disappoint. It was such a perfect blend of flavors. One of the best donuts I've ever had. All I have to say is long live the king. Other varieties I tried were the cruller (a must), banana split with strawberry creme (good), custard with white creme (yes please), maple bacon (no brainer), and salted caramel (good but my teeth are hurting and oh my god did I just eat this many donuts in one day?!). I already can't wait to get my hands on more. I'll never look at Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts the same. Jack Frost has set the bar, people. TL;DR - I'll be back.

  • Christina L.

The BEST donuts I've ever head, hands-down. They're so sweet, and very filling! If you plan on getting box for a special event, definitely call ahead to make sure they'll have the flavors you want, because they sell out fast. Ask them for the specialty flavors of the week/season, because they have some really unique ones! A box of Jack Frost Donuts are the perfect treat for any occasion. Also, make sure you have cash. Very small parking lot, only fits about 2 cars at a time.

  • Ciara W.

I have had Jack Frost donuts a few times in the past year when people had brought them in to work. This past Sunday, I decided to treat my employees who were working and stopped by there myself to buy some deliciousness. The store is a very small unassuming spot. The racks of donuts stare at you, unlabeled, begging to be chosen. These are more than donuts, they are sugary works of art. On top of a delicious donut Jack Frost adds icing and toppings in such quantities they more closely resemble a cupcake. While not good for my waistline, these donuts are sublime. I brought some home for my husband and he agrees (after we devoured 6 in 24 hours). The Maple-Bacon is one of my favorites!

  • Bob L.

Holy insulin shock these are badass donuts. These donuts grow a mustache, wear a headband and save American POWs from Vietnam. These donuts have an afro, quote the bible and carry a wallet that says "Bad Muthafucka". If you come within 500 yards of this place your diet had better seek asylum under the federal witness protection program because it won't stand a chance. I think you get the picture. The other half and I stopped in here on a Saturday morning for our first Frost fix and based upon what other Yelpers have said, our expectations couldn't have been any higher. Sure, it's a tiny little hole in the wall on the corner of two busy streets in Parma. Sure, the door's a little sticky from years of excited, drooling patrons. But this is the real deal. Before you even open the red door you can smell it. The odoriferous omen reaching out to you with its curly-que smoke fingers. Once inside you're surrounded by row upon row of freshly baked donut creations each topped in their sugary best silently begging to be taken home. "Pick me! I've got maple glaze and pieces of bacon!" "No, no, pick me! I'm an iced chocolate cake donut covered in coconut caramel frosting and chocolate icing!" "Hey, over here! You can't go wrong with salted caramel drenched over a beautiful fry cake!" These donuts are mini works of art and I doubt the recipes have changed much since 1937. Jack Frost Donuts is a Cleveland-area institution. I can just imagine what it would have been like, packed to the gills with returning GIs, fresh off the boat from Peleliu or surrounded by greasers, hair slicked back leaning against their 57 Chevy Belair. Yeah, there's definitely history in that little building. Did I mention that their donuts are brutally good? They kick the crap outtta Dunkin Donuts. Actually, they not only kick the crap outta their donuts they are bitter enough to wait around for 20 years so they can kick the crap outta the kids of the Dunkin Donuts. Don't get me wrong, I love some DD just as much as the next guy, I'm just sayin'. If you want a taste of authentic, old-time as-they-should-be-done donuts you have to get your butt in your car and make the trip to Jack Frost. Your pancreas may hate you afterward but your soul will be smiling from ear to ear. Half-dozen donuts: $5.10 Cash-only

Oh the sweet, sugary, blissful JOY that is a Jack Frost donut!!! The donut itself is divine, and the toppings must have been kissed by angels. They are the best treat Cleveland has to offer. And as a coworker declared when I brought them to work-- that isn't a donut, that is a pastry!!

The best of the best! Whenever it's time for donuts, I would drive out of my way to go here. And, next time I come back "home" to visit, I'll be sure to make a stop here. Been going here for 25+ yrs, since my dad took me when I was a kid, and nowhere else even comes close. Not even the Doughnut Plant in NYC! Unbelievable variety of choices, and they're all great! Every time I've been here the shelves are always near full, and it's always busy. I'm not even sure what makes them the best, I guess just everything. The cream is awesome, they're always fresh, and they offer cake and regular. My favorite is the maple cake with cream. You just have to try it, next time you're in the mood for a donut.

Jack Frost brought out the inner crazy girl in me. I was the girl who paid with a check just to get her donuts. $8.35 for a dozen. A DOZEN! They were so amazing and fresh, and I didn't even get there for the "good" ones as I arrived at 5pm. I'd be scared what I'd find at the wee morning hours. I'd probably bounce a check!

Time & day of visit: Saturday around 11:30AM, in and out in 10 minutes. Location: I am from Akron so ultimately, I am not familiar with the area but it is easy to get to from the freeway. The parking lot did fill up very quick by the time we were leaving. I actually have a friend looking at moving to the area and I am SO thrilled for the simple fact I can stop at Jack Frost on my way to visit. Service: It was wonderful. They do not label their donuts so I had to ask what a lot of things were but they were so helpful and friendly. They were also nice with recommending a couple things for us to try since it was our first time. Donuts: AMAZING. I believe for 20 minutes after I ate 3 donuts I was in a slight sugary, full belly, amazing, sleepy coma. And it was worth it. I just loved the salted carmel. I also had the chocolate sprinkles and wow. The donuts were a little crunchy on the outside but so light and airy on the inside. Also the frosting was amazing. It any was left on my hands, box, etc, I'd be licking it all. Overall: A must stop for donuts.

Jack Frost is unparalleled, best doughnuts ever. They're willing to try new flavors, get creative with it, and everything I've tried is fantastic. I think my favorite is german chocolate. My heart hurts thinking about it, because I'm on a diet these days. But seriously, nothing compares to Jack Frost. Nothing!

Sugar overload! Just had a glazed donut, it was delicious, soft yet satisfyingly doughy at the same time, with a nice amount of glaze. As a first timer it was a bit overwhelming to have to keep asking what each donut was, but hang in there, and order what looks good for your dozen to take home. They have serve yourself to-go coffee, and assorted bottled beverages. Cash only, although their sign states they will accept a check with proper ID.

These are donuts for people who think they don't like donuts. Why? Because once you've tried one you'll say, "Wow--this must be what donuts are supposed to taste like." Or maybe even a "Oh, so this is why everyone goes nuts over these things." Don't get me wrong, I'll alway be a bagel gal, but these donuts are the top of the line. I had one--just one!--and it shook my world. And get this... It was only a glazed one. I know. That little 'ole glazed donut was airy, light, not too sweet, perfection in my mouth. It's mind-boggling that I didn't even eat it hot and it was still that good. Anyways, I'm going back and I'm not even waiting for a cheat day. It's worth the extra day of exercise, trust me--and these 5-stars.

Omigawd...I think I've become an addict. A Jack Frost donut addict. I've become said addict after only a few days of snacking on donut carnage that amounted from a box of mixed dozen Jack Frost Donuts. It really wasn't my idea. You see, my brother, sister-in-law and baby niece picked me up from CLE and immediately drove to Jack Frost to get some goodies for the weekend visit. We all maintain that it was my 4-week old niece's idea. Smart girl. When we rolled into the donut shack (because truly that's what it looks like), I was awestruck by the number of sugary confections...awaiting my thighs' demise. Damn, those are some amazing donuts. Grab yourself a 10 spot (cash only) and choose a dozen options. You'll have to ask the employee behind the counter to identify each variety, but it's cool. It's part of the experience. A few donuts you can't miss: -Regular glazed (*perfection*) -Sour cream -Sour cream blueberry -Strawberry cheesecake -Apple cinnamon (warm it up! you're welcome) -Toasted coconut (they were out of this one when I visited, but everyone raves about it) I love you, Jack Frost.

I just met you Jack Frost, but I love you. Came in around noon and had a few dozen different flavors to choose from. I opted for blueberry jelly and you were so nummy. Normally I wouldn't use a word like nummy, but it's the right word to use in this situation. I also like that the donuts are a tad on the small side. More taste and fewer calories (at least I can hope).

FINALLY! I finally made my way to Jack Frost Donuts and I am happy to report: The hype is to be believed, friends. Those donuts are unbelievable!! My favorite (I ate three), was the pumpkin doughnut, which had actual pumpkin filling, not just pumpkin spices. Holy yum!! The only thing that might hinder normal visits for me is the cash only thing.

Maple cake donut. Smiley donut. Both are the must haves. One bite and you get, a mouthful of icing and fried warm cake - and I'm not talking just the royal icing, but a creamy dollop of additional frosting covering the "hole" of the round donut. This is a must when I visit Cleveland, and Weight Watchers isn't going to stop me! A new addition: Maple Bacon Cake Donut, absolutely divine.

Had some friends come down from Detroit and wanted to get them something exclusively Cleveland And since they love to eat I thought Jack frost right off the bat. I got a dozen and they took pics a loved them. Its a great local spot with ton of different doughnut creations. The only downside was they don't take credit - debit cards.

Well, if you're on a diet you better forget it because this place will have you saying goodbye to that steel cut oatmeal in no time. My first experience with Jack Frost was at a Yelp event - that maple bacon donut was life changing. Since then, there's been no turning back and I'm as much of a fan of this place as you can get. When you walk into this place of amazingness, be prepared to feel overwhelmed with the incredible options you have. Flavors you've seen, flavors you've never heard of, flavors you can't imagine living your life without tasting. Trust me - there are so many you want to try and double up on that hitting your dozen comes faster than you expected. My office is hooked on these incredible doughy treats topped with everything from salted caramel to a pile of delicious frosting. Until Jack Frost I was completely unaware of what a fantastic donut should taste like. The dough itself is heavenly - perfectly soft and moist and will rock your world. So what are you waiting for? You know you want one (or three). P.S. Remember to bring some cash because they don't take plastic. A $10 bill will get you a dozen.

Best donuts I've ever had. They sell out of glazed at around 2 everyday so get there as early as possible to reserve yours! All of them are delicious, but I recommend you also try the apricot jelly as well if they have any left.

OK, the donuts are good. I only eat them about once a year. It's not the donuts (kind of ) that I have an issue with. It's the service. I've only been in twice and the service was certainly less than stellar. I felt a bit like I was in the Seinfeld episode "The Soup Nazi." We came all this way for good donuts, but I kind of felt we were treated poorly. We were rushed. There were like 50 varieties of donuts-- none with any labeling at all-- and I asked questions. The woman working made me feel like I was just a pain. She was rude when my daughter asked for fritters, too. "We don't have any. And even if we did, they're not included in the dozen." :/ OK... The other thing I have an issue with-- and this is just a personal thing-- is their obviously liberal use of trans fat. Even the major donut chains have taken trans fats off the menu. Jack Frost hasn't, and the flavor is good but trans-fatty. Trans fats leave this oily film in your mouth that is easily identifiable. I really wish they'd switch to a trans-fat free cooking oil. There's just no need for it anymore. It makes a once a year treat into a once a decade treat for me. Deal breaker. :(

deep fried happiness can a donut change your day? doughy pleasure balls You will enter donut nirvana. A janky little shop where Fulton, Pearl, and Brookpark converge is the epicenter of all things donut. Light and airy crullers. Perfect cake style donuts that taste so perfectly fresh. No unpleasant "wang" of preservatives, not overly sweet, and truth be told, too damn good to dunk in coffee. I'm surprised that there is not a line to get in. Carry on...

Full disclosure to start off. I live 150 feet away from this gem and I don't weigh 500lbs yet. Probably because I purposely don't keep cash or checks on me and I make myself run about 15 miles before I let myself have at this place.Scrounging up 95 cents from the couch cushions, junk drawers, and under my car seats is oh so worth it. The smell is killer and when I used to work until 3:30am, I would wait for them to open up at 5 to get one of their cinnamon rolls. If you didn't know about those, you know now. They only make a few and once they're gone, prepare to wait until tomorrow! I have dunkin and panera not far away and I would gladly forsake all dealings with them to keep some Jack Frost in my life.

The original with sugar glaze was excellent. If I go back I would probably just buy a half dozen of those. Some dough-nuts were fresher than others. The cake dough-nuts were a little dry that day. We also got the maple with bacon bits which was interesting. Also has the appeal of a small independently owned establishment which is refreshing.

This place is awesome. They have a very large selection of unique, and tasty donuts. We asked the girl behind the counter what donuts they had, and she riddled off maybe 30 different flavors lining the walls behind her and the counters in front. We couldn't decide so we bought a dozen different flavors (A dozen donuts cost $8.50ish)! Our favorites: - Apple Cinnamon - Maple - Custard (tasted like Boston cream pie!) - Blueberry These were also pretty good: - Cruller - Red Velvet - Chocolate with almonds - Chocolate These could be better: - Cinnamon - Salted Caramel Overall, this place is definitely worth checking out.

The best doughnuts in Cleveland. They are always a hit. However, their parking lot situation is rather messed up. Most entitled people decide to pull right up front and park, which is everyone. I always park on the side, where you are supposed to. I wish they would either pave or mark where you are supposed to park.

A great donut shop! The donuts here aren't labeled but it doesn't really matter because they all look and taste delicious. I just sort of pointed at the twelve I thought looked the tastiest. Never would I think of eating four donuts in a day but I couldn't help myself with these!

A friend clued me in to this place, maybe not realizing I'd drive across town to try 'em. Hah, jokes on her. Go! We ripped through 6 varieties, each was great. Salty caramel, maple bacon, german chocolate, sundae, pumpkin & raspberry... They taste great and look amazing, really a couple of cuts above the average doughnut. I love that the place looks like your average hole in the wall, mom & pop place, not some fufu fancy joint. I should open a fufu place in Hudson with pretty boxes, then buy a truckload from here every morning, and sell 'em for $18 a dozen.

This is by far my favorite donut shop around! If you say you don't like or want to eat a donut, go to this place and tell me if you changed your mind! Ever since I was little I used to get these donuts on the weekends and the employees that work there are always and have always been very friendly and welcoming. Of course, I feel like a kid when I am here because I always want the chocolate sprinkled donuts, definitely my favorite! The jelly filled ones are also very delicious! I go here to splurge because it is all worth it when you eat something that tastes as good as these donuts do!

I worked in a bakery for 3 years and swore off donuts from then on (about 8 years ago)... until I encountered Jack Frost Donuts. Then I came back to the dark side. I've been saying for awhile that I needed to venture out there and finally made it this past weekend. It was worth the drive. I got the maple bacon (!!!), German chocolate, and some chocolate creme deliciousness. All of it was great. Will be back for sure.

  • Brian M.

not bad, not amazing. got up early to get some so they were fresh, got a wide variety, none of them really knocked my socks off but were pretty good all around. weird part was the woman behind the counter when asked what kind of jelly donuts they had said "anything you want", and when pressed but what kinds do you HAVE, still stuck with "anything you want" ... is there some midwest standard jelly donut flavor selection I was expected to know or something or was this woman just being dumb (or rude?) ... I still don't know.

WARNING: If you are serious about your diet, are diabetic or have other reasons to avoid indulgent sweet temptations don't read this review! I come from the land of Krispy Kreme- not those foolish boxes of stale doughnuts sold at gas stations and supermarkets but the real deal. I'm talking conveyer belt of yummy gooey goodness available 24 hrs a day and a bright red sign alerting the neighborhood that they are indeed, "Hot Now!" While I remain a fan of the Krispy Kreme I have to say that Jack Frost is in a completely separate category. Maybe that's why they use the different spellings. These are very different tasty treats! My coworkers introduced me to Jack Frost and it was love at first bite. The icing coming out of the top of the donut ads a bit of sweetness without being TOO much. It's a lovely addition, too. I've had a number of flavors and frankly I can just remember that they were yummy!!!! I have had the chocolate donut (a cake-y one that was german chocolate cake themed) and didn't love it. Had I been new to the JF scene I would have said it was great, but; being the experienced JF devotee I knew it wasn't the top product. Jack Frost does the light colored (plain?) donut best. It's almost fluffy and airy when you take a bite so you can really savor the quality flavor of it. Then (if you've chosen one with the poof of icing) you get a nice soft yet flavorful taste of the vanilla or chocolate, etc. that compliments the donut and top layer of icing. One donut that doesn't seem to come with the icing poof is the maple bacon donut. Yeh yeh yeh- bacon's blowing up/ blown up/ is over but you've gotta give this a shot. Seriously. Consider taking a hiatus from any vegetarian/ vegan dietary commitments you might have made. They do maple great in a number of ways. Something to remember: Jack Frost does not take credit or debit cards. They have taken a check (and the dears actually took my out of state check- I can't bring myself to buy a new box because these are perfectly fine for paying rent which is really the only time I ever use them) and they'll take cash of course! A dozen donuts will set you back a little over $8 and you'll get your money's worth!

Little billowy clouds of pure heaven. These are THE best donuts I've ever had. They are small, they filling is on the outside and they are melt-in-your-mouth fresh. They are super moist and far superior to any others. Even Krispy Kreme ain't got nothin' on them! Support family owned businesses and go get a dozen or two! You will NOT be disappointed.

A Veritable YEAST FEAST Just before writing my 5 star review for ROYAL DONUTS, noted the numerous raves for the until-then-unknown-to-me JACK FROST. Wrote my review, then pulled up Jack's to read more. I was so weak with the delerium of reminiscing over a recent and rare Royal visit and their excellent Chocolate Fried cake-style, that just HAD to sample Jack's---this very day---less than 2 hours ago. It just happened to be down the road from the former Goodmans (boo-hoo) Sandwich shop---now Corky and Lenny's Express---which was going to be visited anyway---so why not sample a brand new sweet treat, too. Darn those pesky little arteries. More the traditionalist, rather than choosing any fanciful-flavored or unusually-topped options (many favorites per the numerous commentaries), as first-time visitors we'd go with the basic for a true test. Haven't had a good raised glazed since I was a little bratty kid. So standard sugar-glazed style it was---4 round-with-holes, about 2" high !!!, and looking like miniature ottomans, not doughnuts...and 2 of their hefty twists. OPEN THAT DONUT BOX ! NOW ! Forget eating the corned beef. Light, like clouds. Delicioso...ethereal. Ate one...then another half. Couldn't get through even 1/4 of my corned beef. Thank you, Jack. And thank you yelp, for having this yelpful site. It's a Foodies Discovery Source. And the winners are . . . . ROYAL . . . . . . . . . .5 Stars for Chocolate fried-cake-style JACK FROST . . . . 5 Stars for raised glazed. Life is good.

I have been going to Jack Frost Donuts since I was a little girl, growing up in Old Brooklyn. My parents would get me a smiley face donut for getting straight-As. Now, I live in New York City, and have had the pleasure of ingesting all kinds of culinary delights, including the renowned Donut Plant of the Lower East Side. However, Jack Frost Donuts remain some of the best I've ever had. I usually get their cake donuts, and I highly recommend the maple glazed ones. Of course, the chocolate glazed with the smiley faces are classic as well. Perfect dessert after eating lunch up the street at Goodman's!

I recommend you give Jack Frost a try next time you have an excuse to pick up a dozen donuts. The store only takes cash, so plan accordingly. The good: They have a great selection of fry cake (which seemed denser) and traditional (less dense) donuts. Their basics (glazed, plain, frosted) and cream or jelly filled/topped ranged from good to excellent. What I really loved about it is that they have a HUGE selection of all kinds of flavors from the bold (e.g. maple bacon) to more traditional (e.g. toasted coconut). Their flavors are not labeled or listed anywhere in the store that I noticed, making the experience somewhat overwhelming your first trip. Luckily, the person behind the counter was really friendly and walked us through all of the flavors, so it was not really an issue. The bad: Logistics are an issue - it is in Old Brooklyn, and if you don't live there it is a trek. It is worth noting that they are right down the road from the B.A. Sweetie Candy Company. If you have never been to BA Sweetie's, it is worth stopping by. While this extra stop somewhat mitigates the distance traveled, it is a *lot* of junk food to but in one trip. Also, the store has a tiny parking lot and is at a weird intersection. While the product Jack Frost makes is pretty good, they seemed to be on the sweeter end. Luckily all of those downsides can be addressed through planning and a bit of self control.

I have been missing my favorite donut, a simple maple creme filled, chocolate iced. Seeing all the rave reviews about Jack Frost on here, the significant other and I headed over this morning to grab a dozen and enjoy our sugar comas, i was hoping to find my long lost favorite, but alas, i did not. They don't label anything which I was expecting but even though they really weren't busy, they were very brisk with us, making us feel like they wanted our order and to get us out, so we didn't ask more than one or two questions. Now, aside from that, these are good donuts. Nothing to write home about, but good donuts. The one big problem we had is that their "filled" donuts are not filled at all. They just don't punch holes in them and glob filling on top. We are not fans. I had a maple ceme filled, mind you it was maple frosted with white creme piled on top. So much cream I had to knock half of it off to be able to stomach it. The other I ate was a chocolate glazed cake donut, my other favorite, and it was good, but the ones I can get at sheetz are just as good IMO. Either way, we'll probably look for another donut shop that suits our tastes better, but they are better than dunkin and you really do have better choices as well.

The best donuts in the entire universe! To die for. Cheap, family owned and so tasty. Only downside is that it's cash and maybe checks only. I live for the key lime and pumpkin cream donuts. Outstanding! The staff is very kind and I love the vintage dive feel of the little shop. They're very old school and worth the 40 minute drive!

Indeed - the best donuts in Cleveland. Memories of the fresh, hot glazed on a Sunday night perk me up on the weekend, until I realize that I don't live in Cleveland any more and can't run over for a quick fix. My own personal favorites - the blueberry fruit filled with white icing; the white cream-filled and the afore-mentioned glazed. While I can't seem to hit Jack Frost at the right times on my visits back to Cleveland to get them fresh - you can pop a glazed into the microwave for about 4-6 seconds and it will tase *almost* as fresh. Plenty of milk is needed to accompany.

Jack Frost may be another tiny little establishment in this ever shrinking city however the size of this place does not match its taste, in fact its polar opposite. Jack Frost is the king of donuts. Great Size, Great taste and a bit of American Splendor. When I was a boy, I thought Jack Frost was one of the characters from Christmas Claymations....you may not see him at this place, but you will have the best donuts of your life

I was feeling really beat down from drinking whiskey when my friend called me at noon on Saturday. He asked if I still wanted to go the the museums. I didn't want to. He said we can drink some coffee and he will share some of his Jack Frost donuts. They were the fuel I needed to get back on my feet and walk around. They really are the best donuts that I have ever had. Some flavors I tried had crushed peanut butter cups and crushed oreo cookies along with frosting. At around 60 cents a donut, you will be very happy!

I've got to say that this place has the best doughnuts I've ever eaten. The presentation is exceptional; each doughnut looks like a work of art. They taste even better. There are at least thirty varieties of doughnuts at the shop and they include things like key lime pie, banana split, candy bar and peanut butter and jelly along with the more common glazed and chocolate doughnuts. Some varieties like the candy bar sell out very quickly so you have to arrive there early to get some. If you're in the Cleveland area you should try these but be warned it will spoil you on chain doughnuts for life.

My husband heard a lot of good news about this place so we decided to check it out. Maybe we went at a bad time but I was left unimpressed. Two of our donuts were dry and the other three were pretty forgettable. I ate half of mine (the maple cake) and threw the rest in the trash. Almost tasted stale! The other one (rainbow sprinkles) was pretty average. My husband enjoyed his donuts but didn't think he'd be coming back again. Maybe donuts just aren't my thing but I don't know what all the hype is about.

Hands down, the best donuts in Cleveland! I have been coming here since I was little and they are just as delicious, probably even better, then they were when I was a child. They offer a huge selection of flavors and types. I like trying the specialty donuts ie banana split, chocolate covered cherry, etc. The glazed are awesome!! They sell out quickly on the weekends so make sure you get there early if you want the best selection. It is a must to go in the fall for their pumpkin donuts! This is a cleveland treasure and I love it!!

These are, hands down, the best old-fashioned donuts anywhere in Cleveland. In fact, we were in Becker's donuts out in Avon this morning, and the woman working there said, "I was in Cleveland the other day and went into Jack Frost. They have the best donuts anywhere!" After a pregnant pause, she said "except us, of course." We all know what she really meant! (Cash only, boys and girls, although the prices are still ridiculously low.)

Possibly the best donut shop in the world. In all world travels, have only found one other donut shop anywhere that even comes close to the succulent fried dough of JF Glaze. If you are ever in Cleveland, make the time to stop by and try the best donuts in the world. But, beware if you eat more than 3, you will be hooked. You will find yourself coming back to Cleveland just for their donuts!

This place really is a gem. Very creative flavors, nice owners, always wanting to accomodate their customers, etc. They just seem like 'real' donuts, for lack of a better term. They aren't oversized or too sugary or slathered with too much icing that you don't even want to eat.....many of the flavors are a good balance of sweet and salty. I'm partial to the raspberry cruellers - but I've never had a bad donut there.

Jack Frost Donuts is the BEEEST donut place ever. I am just glad I don't live too close or I would stop in every day for a donut (or 2). Donuts from the grocery store don't even compare to Jack Frost. I like the maple creme donuts. Cash or checks only here.

If you like frosting, Jack Frost Donuts are the best donuts in the history of the world. There's so much frosting that it covers your nose when you take a bite. Really excellent, rich and thick and bursting with flavor. I love their donuts with candy bits, like the M&M ones. Oh, and the donuts themselves are great too. I wish there was one on the east side, because its Parma-ish location is kind of a schlep.

The best donuts in Cleveland. My family has been going here for 20+ years and the donuts are as good now as they always been. Personal favorites are the cake Donut with chocolate frosting and white topping and the Cinnamon Twists. Seriously awesome donuts!!

Just went to Jack Frost after moving back to Cleveland after 17 years away. Went there in the 70s as a little girl, and I was so happy that the shop is still there, and the donuts are amazing! How nice to come back to a small business that doesn't disappoint after so many years. The donuts have just the right texture and flavor. Very fresh. And they have specialty ones, like a cassatta donut with vanilla creme and fresh strawberries. I could have sworn they once had some stools, years ago, which they don't now. Not much space for that, which is too bad. But never mind. Go to Jack Frost!

This place has been a staple for my family for decades. The best donuts ever. Most of my family has moved away, and this is their first stop when they get in town.

With reviews like these, how could you not go? We were also surprised to see it was super close to our favorite sweet shop, B A Sweetie up the street so this was a no brainer. We got a half dozen. 2- chocolate peanut butter, 1 chocolate chocolate cream, 1 chocolate white cream, 1 maple bacon and 1 smore. I thought the smore looked like it had nuts on it but the hubby said it was graham crackers. When we got to the car we confirmed it was nuts. Since where are there nuts on smores? No graham crackers at all. We think given the caramel drizzled on top that it would be more aptly renamed a turtle donut. The hubby liked it though. I didn't care for the cream so I scraped mine off and we both were pretty turned off by the texture of the peanut butter cream. We're used to Buckeye Donuts and Jolly Pirates version and this just was too peanut buttery for me so I scraped mine off while the man enjoyed his. I have to say despite not liking the cream, we agreed the chocolate iced donut portions were really good. The maple bacon was awful and we didn't finish it. We agreed the bacon tasted fake like bacon bits over real bacon. The smell was really off putting before we even ate it so we won't be getting that one again. The donuts were decent but we just wouldn't say 5-star good. So, more for Clevelanders! FYI- Cash only.

My boyfriend took me here 2 Sundays ago. First of all I can't believe I have lived in the Cleveland area for this many years and did not know about this place. Part of the allure is before you even step foot inside; you can tell it's a hole in the wall mom and pop place by the sign out front. Upon entering it is a donut lover's paradise. Offering many creative flavors, presented beautifully, and the service is great too.

Freakishly good donuts. Walked in the first time with the intention of ordering 1 of each, then realised it would be three dozen easily. Every donut of the 12 I got were simply amazing. I am going to miss it dearly, and have only just found it. The fried donuts are needless to say- wicked awesome. Maple and sprinkles and creme filled oh my. It is a little gem, and if you are in Cleveland go check it out!

After reading all the great reviews, went today, and everything was great. The selection was the best I've ever seen in Cleveland. We live less then a mile from this great donut shop and had never stopped. Won't be driving by anymore.

I've been meaning to go here for a while, as I had heard from a number of people what incredible donuts they had! Unfortunately, the location is a bit far for me, but the experience was worth it! Jack Frost is not a place that would stand out when seen from the road side. The store's outer decor likely meets "hole in the wall" criteria, which makes it all the more charming when you walk in and see the plethora of donuts awaiting you. A wide variety of donuts were available, most frosted and filled in all sorts of manners, and every one looked appetizing. I had a very hard time picking the dozen donuts I ordered, but luckily the kind and patient staff was very willing to help me out with my picks! And the donuts themselves were quite tasty, soft, and sweet, albeit perhaps a little overly frosted. In the end, I was quite satisfied with my trip, and if I am in the Parma area in the future, I would definitely make a point to stop by again. You should to!!

The best donuts I've had in a very very long time! Crisp outside and beautifully flaky inside! I've only had the cake glazed donuts (raspberry glazed, chocolate cake glazed, chocolate glazed, blueberry). The glaze was a bit thick, but still excellent! Also the first time I've ever seen a cop in a donut shop.

A Cleveland institution. The donuts are the best in town or at least on the West Side. As a kid I loved the chocolate donuts with the smiley faces. They are excellent the first day, but don't bother to save for tomorrow, as they get dry fast.

I go to Jack Frost all the time. It seems as if they are always trying new things. I love that. there is so many different donuts to choose from. I also love the idea you can call ahead. If you blink you may miss it! I think it might be the best kept secret in Cleveland! GOOD JOB JACK FROST!
