Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

In an earlier review of another restaurant, I bemoaned the dearth of 'buffet style' joints in the downtown area. Today in an early morning walkabout I wandered down Walnut Street and suddenly exclaimed "Snappy Tomato!!!" (Please note this was said in a British accent so no-one around me had the faintest clue what I was saying. Thankfully. However, a passing businesswoman did squeeze a dollar bill into my hand and told me to "put it towards lunch later" and mentioned something about praying for me at the weekend. I really must buy some new clothes soon) Yes, Snappy Tomato (or, rather, Snappy Tomato!!!!) is a buffet style place. Specifically a pizza buffet place. All you can eat pizza, a salad bar and a soft drink all for (I think it is) $7 or $8. A bona fide downtown bargain if ever there was one. Admittedly, the surroundings are a bit peculiar. The diner is located downstairs off the street in an almost bunker-like setting and seating is somewhat limited and a little crowded when busy. The front desk is always quick and efficient though and they send you away with disposable plates, plastic cutlery and (sadly) a tongue-curling styrofoam cup for your drink. (Make sure you get a straw... I think drinking direct from a styrofoam cup and letting your lips touch the rim gives you cooties, or makes you pregnant or something... doesn't it?) The salad bar is far from extensive... But let's face it, that's NOT why you're here. The proof is in the pizza. There's usually 4 or 5 different pies on display and because the place doesn't mark what they are, it's akin to "Russian roulette" with your tongue. (Vegetarians may wish to ask the staff which pies are suitable) However, Snappy Tomato's pièce de résistance (translation: irresistible piece of pie) is their undoubtedly supercalorific "dessert pizza", a slice of which sends your tastebuds off on vacation for at least a week or two. If the idea of paying just $7 for very passable pizza, a nibble of salad, DESSERT PIE & a bottomless drink intrigues you, get down into Snappy's happy value-for-money dungeon as soon as you can.

Great buffet for a great price.

it's a good deal for a lunch downtown, and it is fairly centrally located to the business district. Unfortunately, there's not all that much seating, and what there is is mostly arranged in long cafeteria like seating. This makes it difficult to make trips back to the buffet at lunch (especially when people are dressed in their winter coats). They can also be slow with the buffet refills, and the popular pizzas (like the dessert pizza) don't last much beyond when they are put out. They offer a lunch club card, so if you run like daily marathons and and need anywhere near as many calories as a pizza lunch buffet provide, this place is for you!

I love working in downtown Cincinnati. My pocket doesn't necessarily love it...so when I'm on a tighter budget but craving some decent eats, I hit up Snappy's. Why? It's on the same block as my office AND there's an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet for $6.99. Yep. Drink, salad and all the pizza you want for $6.99. There's even dessert!! (aka dessert pizza) My favorite pizza is the cheesy pizza with white sauce. Always hot, gooey, and delicious. It's decent pizza with a small salad bar. Nothing to really write home about, but it's still a nice indulgent that is completely affordable compared to those $10 sandwiches you can get elsewhere! Additionally, my office has ordered pizza from Snappy's as well. If you get a chance, request their Margherita pizza. Thin, light and pretty delectable!

This is probably the worst lunch option I've found in this area. The only redeeming quality is the price and the ability to eat fast. The food is not satisfying in any way.

It's Snappy Tomato Pizza, if you have not had it yet. It is nothing exciting but the one good thing about this place is they do a Pizza Buffet from 11:00am-2:00pm. It is only 6 bucks and includes a drinks. They are always super fast at the counter but sometimes are a little slow to fill the buffet table. It seems like they wait for it to get low and then slam out like 5 pizzas all at once. For the price and being close to workers downtown. It is not a bad deal!
