Went here for my birthday dinner on Sunday. We arrived about 7:00 and we were seated immediately. AMBIANCE: Place smells wonderful when you come in. We were seated in the back - the room was nice but very dim. I like mood lighting but it was almost hard to see the menus. There were five of us in all, 2 adults, 2 teens and an 11 year old. No kid menu was offered, so not sure if they have one. SERVICE: Service was a little slow. I asked a couple questions - one about wine (he really was clueless) and another about the differences between the pizzas. We ordered our drinks and then after a few minutes, our entrees. Again, service was a little slow, especially since they weren't busy. Drinks needed to be refilled and waited for awhile, asked for extra napkins and pepper (which isn't on the tables) 3x. And then pepper grinder didn't work. I had a gift certificate and gave it to him as soon as we ordered. He didn't take it off so we had to correct it at the end. FOOD: We had a variety:spaghetti and meatballs, goat cheese, tomato and basil pasta, 2 oven fired pizzas and then the best-holller-for-your-dollar pizza. . The food was pretty decent and portion sizes are fairly large. I think some of the items are over-priced for what they are. It would be nice if they gave you some type of bread before your meal. I like that they have a few unusual choices like the figs and prosciutto for their pizzas. OVERALL: It was good dinner. Not the best italian I've ever eaten but i enjoyed the food. Service was slow. Plenty of menu items to choose from. I did mention to hostess that the bathroom was kind of dirty. I may go here again but may try the Clifton location next time.

Used to love their pizzas but tonight my whole family witnessed a waitress touch the garbage can with both hands, then immediately go back to handling food (without washing her hands after touching the garbage). I'm not a germaphobe, however I don't particularly like garbage reside with my cheese pizza.

My husband and I both enjoy this restaurant. I usually order the greek salad and the minestrone soup. He orders the sicialian sandwich in addition to the minestrone soup. Everything is fresh and tasty. We love the atmosphere of this restaurant, and the service has always been excellent.

Pomi's specialty are wood fired pizzas, made In an authentic wood fired oven that you can smell in the parking lot. They also have calzones, pastas, and other Italian dishes, but the pizza is their signature. The pizzas are good, but not as gourmet as nearby Dewey's, but then again the wait is usually not as long and reservations are accepted. Extremely kid friendly, all ages. They also have a selection of gelato if you have room. Interior and exterior of restaurant are very nicely done. This is our place to go when we want something more substantial than delivery pizza, but don't want the hassle of more upscale dining.

Major disappointment. Went for late lunch. Meatball sandwich was cheap chop meat buried in spicy red sauce and a toasted white bun. Had to swap with husband - too spicy - who had pesto with pine nuts. His was so bland we tried to taste it up with salt (not on our table) and pepper (nowhere to be found). So food was not good. Husband went to mens room and was ready to leave after that. Toilet not fastened securely to floor, graffiti scratched on the walls in the stall and stall walls are dirty dirty dirty, and the best was there was no handle let alone a lock on the stall door. And the toilet has not been cleaned in weeks there was film inside. Server was ok but slow. Tables all around us needed to be bussed, floor had water spots needing a towel and frankly the food is expensive. And not a lot of confidence in the chef staff which looked like college kids. We used to love this place, take the family, a special night. They lost their edge and live by being a restaurant in a high rent district. Done- there are better places to spend $17 on an entree.

We had a party of 8 and our server Justine was fantastic! She took great care of us, keeping drinks topped off and being attentive without hovering. I had a side salad that was filled with peppers, onions, mushrooms, etc. very good! My main course was the Leek, pancetta and goat cheese pizza. So delicious! Crispy thin crust - true Italian. And those toppings - yum! Others had chicken parm, fettuccine Alfredo, a variety of pizzas and the pasta carbonara. We were all very satisfied. A good evening!

We stopped by on Friday night at 7pm. Place was fairly empty, which suggested this would not be as good as our last visit 4 years ago. The wait staff was friendly but stretched, even with the few tables occupied. Our kids plain cheese pizza took well over 45 minutes. Pasta and individual pizza's took about ten minutes less. Overall, the service was not good, mainly due to the taxed staff. I had the fig and prosciutto pizza and it was wonderful. Others commented their meals were so-so ( pasta and pizza). We probably won't stop back.

If you want pizza a la extreme char, then this is the place for you. Live it up! Check out my profile pics to get a full visual. As we entered Pomodori's for the first time in almost 8 years, we crossed a row of 4-5 booth tables on the right which I referred to my fiancé as "Blue Hair Alley". There wasn't a single person on our side of the restaurant that was under the age of 88. That really shouldn't be surprising as most 88 year olds probably have greatly diminished taste buds and poor vision so they were blissfully unaware of the black triangles they were casually munching on. However, the two of us are in the prime of our lives and our olfactory senses, palates and eyeballs seem to be firing on all cylinders so we were not as fortunate. Everything was burned beyond recognition and the little of what we could eat off the top of the pizza tasted awful. The server politely told us "yeah, that seems to happen quite a bit" but never offered a resolution. Worst pizza joint in Cincinnati! I guarantee you'll get more enjoyment out of eating Marco's pizza and I've never even been to one.

Friends and I went into Pomodori's over this past weekend for some inexpensive but good food. The service was good, no complaints, but the place was practically empty on a Saturday night at 7... This seemed a little strange to me. We ordered the Antipasto app which was plenty for 4 people but a bit overpriced at $11. It was good though. I got the Pesto Pasta with pine nuts and hubby stuck to a greek salad. Our friends each got a calzone with were just ENORMOUS. The pasta was bland and it's still sitting in our fridge just waiting for someone else to give it a second chance in the form of leftovers. My hub's salad was just ok, too much cheese, but decent veggies. Overall, the experience is just ok. Ok food, Ok atmosphere, but overpriced for just OK.

As a third time customer to Pomodori, I feel comfortable saying that the pizza and calzones are dry and empty, unless you are willing to pay the price to add toppings. I have eaten the margarita pizza/calzone and the roasted pepper pizza. Never again. Too much crust, not enough flavor. They do have a wonderful chunky tomato dipping sauce. Each time, a group of 10-30 people have attended and the service was adequate. Of course, 20% gratuity is automatically added, even to a party of 12.

The view from the back room of this restaurant is wonderful. The food from top to bottom is marvelous. I personally love the calzones and usually get the spinach with pepperoni substituted for the mushrooms. You should definitely have dinner or lunch here if you have the chance.

This operation is is a joke! I called the Clfton location and they took my order without telling me that the store was closed. After I drove 20 miles only to see a vacant lot, I called and they informed me that the Clifton phones had been forwarded to the Montgomery location, and my order was there!

Today I had a good pasta perfectly cooked aldente. It was a simple alioli with srimps. Shrimps where not overcooked and it was the correct amount of sauce. Service was good.

Easily my favorite pizza place. When I was in college I would frequent their Clifton location, which has a slightly different atmosphere, but the food is just as good. The Montgomery Pomi's has a welcoming feel, decorated like you walked into an open Tuscan kitchen and is warm and friendly. For starters, the spinach salad with bacon, hard boiled egg, red onion mushroom (I get it without) and it comes with honey mustard dressing, but I get it with their tarragon dressing, which is too yummy!! They have the best wood fired pizzas. I get the Prosciutto one, it comes with mushroom (I again, cut out the mushrooms), red onion, garlic and olive oil, cheese and I add broccoli. It is to die for. Their red sauce is also delicious, I recommend getting that on one of their Sicilian pizzas with any toppings of your choice such as pepperoni, green peppers and onion. For dessert don't forget their apple pizza. It's like an apple strudel on a crust!

Great gourmet pizza with excellent subs and appetizers. They have an appetizer with carmelized onions on toasted bread...WOW. Get a side of ranch to go with it, it's fabulous! They have nice pasta choices as well. The service is usually in no hurry, so expect an extended lunch or dinner experience, even if it's dead. It doesn't keep me away, although I would probaby visit more often if the service was faster and more friendly.

My sister and I accidentally happened upon Pomodoris this afternoon while we were searching for another little cafe in Old Montgomery. The Pizzeria and Trattoria (just a fancy word for restaurant in Italia) is located inside a rustic looking yellow house almost directly behind the famous Montgomery Inn. We entered the restaurant, which is classy in a white-table cloth way but not in the least bit pretentious, and had to stand around for awhile before a cook came out from the open-air kitchen to take us to a table. There were only three tables sat when we walked in, a light crowd for a Wednesday at 12:30pm. Based on this, I'm assuming the restaurant doesn't do a huge lunch business. We glanced at the menu (which was full of delicious sounding rich pasta dishes and dinner appropriate Italian entrees) before settling on a spinach salad (me), balsamic salad (my sister) and we decided to share a Margarita pizza for our main course. The salads were good, mine was a little heavy on the onion and my sister's was covered in olives...but if that's your style, you'll enjoy it. The pizza was a little too light on the mozzarella for my taste (but I LOVE cheese, so it's probably fine for the average pizza consumer) but the sauce was spicy and the crust was thin, crispy, and delicious. Overall, good experience (I'd still vote for Dewey's pizza over Pomodoris), I'll be heading back for dinner to sample one of the larger entrees soon!

I went late on a Tuesday night so it was empty and quiet. We tried the gorgonzola walnut pasta, and a pizza with leek and.. some kind of meat. I got there late and they had already ordered. First of all, all their carbs are hand made, the pasta, the bread, the dough... Second of all, they have a pretty stellar wine selection that pairs nicely with their menu. Do yourself a favor, get a pizza, a pasta, and nice bottle of white wine, and have a terrific meal for two people for a reasonable price. A bottle, 2 pastas, a pizza, and 2 glasses of wine for under 100 bucks, Not bad for a nice meal for three people, with enough left over for 2 lunches.

Note: I have been here at least 8 times. How on earth can a restaurant with this much charm, cooking out of such a large, beautiful kitchen with a wood-fired oven, and located smack dab in the middle of such an affluent community, render such shitty, tasteless 20 dollar pies and still survive? Can you say cardboard flavor? Can you say I can't taste anything? Can you say did I lose my tastebuds in the parking lot; did they fall out straight onto the asphalt; what happened here? Top that off with a bunch of cute waitresses who are so poorly trained that they stop and stare at everyone who walks thru the door like a group of teen zombies, and who can't answer the most basic questions, like: "what beers do you have on tap?" My mind is reeling that this restaurant is so beautiful inside and can crank out such consistently bad food. I just don't get it, but they won't be getting any more of this: my hard-earned cash. Goodbye and good luck. Oh yes, this place is bad. Very bad. Thank GOD we had a coupon. If not, I might have gone Justin Bieber on them and egged the place. As my wife said: Papa Johns at half the price is ten times the flavor. Amen. My eighth and final visit.

Our second visit to Pomodori's is probably our last. A lackluster experience start to finish. If it weren't for the restaurant.com $25 off coupon- we would have called a manager over to complain but figured it just wasn't worth it. My main issue is the pizza has ZERO flavor. I don't pretend to have an overly sophisticated palate, but all three of us at the table agreed- we would have rather been eating Papa John's pizza for $11.99 rather than the $20 pie that even though loaded with toppings, tasted like cheese on cardboard. Unfortunately I see this is a common theme among the other reviews here as well. Each of us ate 1 piece, and didn't even want to take it home. The service was okay, our server was a 19-20 year old girl who was very sweet but couldn't answer questions about the beer on tap, and instead of finding out what she didn't know gave the wrong answers, etc. etc. Not a big issue- fine otherwise. This place is in a primo location, a beautiful building with great ambiance, but the food is tasteless. What a shame!

Attention all you pregnant ladies out there! If you spend $150 at Motherhood Maternity in Rookwood you receive a $50 gift certificate to redeem at restaurant.com . The selection of restaurants are limited, so we picked Pomodori's in Montgomery. *You can only use on gift certificate at a time. It's a good sized place right in the heart of Montgomery, kid friendly with a smokey smell from the brick wood-fired ovens. We shared the Antipasta (apicola, salami, imported olives, cheese, hard-boiled egg, artichoke hearts, and pepperoncini. Served with ciabatta) $10.75. The value was good for the portion, but the quality was lacking... lunch meat salami, only 1 cheese, and small portion of olives. We then split the Figs & Prosciutto Pizza (sliced Turkish figs with imported prosciutto on a garlic and olive oil crust) $10.80. It's the perfect size for two, and the pizza had a good amount of toppings. The perfect bite was when you hit a sweet fig + salty prosciutto We enjoyed the crust... light, airy, with a slight wood char. Our only knock on the pizza was the outer crust ratio, some pieces had way too much crust. Overall, if you in the mood for pizza in the Montgonery/Blue Ash area for lunch or dinner and don't want a chain, it's a good selection.

Upon a recommendation from a friend, my husband and I decided to try Pomodori's in Montgomery. Once inside, we were greeted warmly by two staff members and were seated immediately. What caught my attention as we entered was a notice that they won "Best Entree" at Montgomery's Bastille Day in 2013. Curious, I asked which of their menu offerings was worthy of this award. Turns out it was their Leek & Goat Cheese Pizza in case you want to give it a try. What also struck me was the ambiance -very warm colors, high-ceilings in their beautiful open kitchen containing their wood-fired oven, booths with high backs for privacy along with a smattering of tables throughout. One blip is that after seating us at a table, my husband had to request a different chair because there was so little padding that he felt like he was sitting on a 2 x 4 frame. Turns out my chair was the same, but apparently I provided enough of my own padding to not notice as quickly! The waitress agreed and quickly accommodated him - we only hope they replace them as opposed to playing musical chairs with other customers. On to our meal. We started with a roma and goat cheese pasta which was yummy! Because they make all of their pastas from scratch, the noodles were so fresh tasting & extremely tender - perfect for the addition of roma tomatoes, fresh basil, fresh garlic and goat cheese to bring out the Italian flavor. We love that combination so much that we opted for a Roma & Basil Pizza. Those two toppings came on a fresh garlic and olive oil crust with a blend of five cheeses. Again, delicious! All through our meal, our server was attentive and friendly. I can't speak to the landscaping issue that was mentioned in another review as we went when it was dark already. It's a place that we plan to revisit!

Place is a cozy little spot for a date in the heart of Montgomery. Pizzas are wood fired and pastas are fresh. I have been a fan for a long time and it used to be my "secret" place to take chicks 20 years ago. The pizzas are great and the ambiance can be quiet when the place isn't packed on a weekend night. Service can be spotty from time to time and they can (more frequently than I care to admit) run out of stuff (pasta, beer, you name it). Probably in an effort to contain costs. In any event, give it a go. Not super expensive and tasty all around. Favorites: The BLT, the Fig and Procuitto Pizza and the Minestrone.

It's been a long time since I ate at a Pomodori's. I'm not sure why. I'm also not sure why I've never been to the one in Montgomery before as it is so close to home. I think I just keep forgetting it's there, since it''s not visible from Montgomery Road. Tonight, however, was the night. Since it was peak dinner time and Friday night, I didn't know what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised that we were seated immediately. We were asked for our drink order very shortly after being seated. I couldn't decide if I wanted a pasta (they make their own) or one of their signature wood-fired pizzas. The BF had already settled on a pepperoni pizza...his go-to pizza. I finally decided to order the Bianco pizza (artichokes, onions, and mushrooms with a garlic and olive oil sauce). We ordered a Caesar salad to share. The salad came out very quickly. It was fresh and not too heavily dressed. The croutons are actually strips of crusty bread, not too hard and not too soft. Shortly after we finished the salad, our pizzas were brought out. They were hot, fresh and tasty. I thought the crust was light and airy and very good. The toppings were just right...the onions were carmelized! It had a good garlic flavor, but not overpowering. Hours later, I'm not still tasting or smelling the garlic. The BF liked the pepperoni wood-fired pizza and ranked it among the best he's had since moving to town. Service was also quick and friendly. I don't know why it took me so long to go here, but believe me, it won't be long before I'm back.

I have only been once, so far, and the food was great....the service, not so much. If the service was better I would have given 5 stars, but the service was very poor. If you go the service will leave you wanting more, but the food will not. The dough and cooking styles are amazing!

Pomi's is best known for their wood fired pizza and you really shouldn't bother with anything else on the menu. If you go for only one thing have their apple pizza--it is a dessert pizza with ricotta, apricot jam, granny smith apples and strudel topping. It is the most amazing thing and will keep me going back time and time again.

This was our third visit to Pomodoris. Each time the food has been very good. Last night my wife and I split a house salad spaghetti and meat balls. Both very good. 4 of our party of 9 ordered the featured 7 cheese ravioli special. Our server Lauren had to come back several minutes later to inform us they were out of the special at 7p on a not so busy Saturday night. No biggy, drinks and salads all came out in good order giving us all a chance to talk and get caught up. The main course came out in 4 different groups. So it was more then several minutes from when the first members of our party were served until the last members of our group were served. This seemed a little awkward to have some folks eating while others patiently waited. I am sure we'll be back.

Fresh, homemade pasta is a thing of beauty, and Pomodori's makes their own pasta in house. It's chewy, kind of dense, with a bite, everything you expect from fresh pasta. I love it. And I especially love that they usually toss it with olive oil and butter prior to adding your sauce, yummmmmmmm. The wood-fired pizzas always sound amazing, and I do like them, but my big complaint is that by the time I'm through my first slice, the rest of the pizza is soggy. However, the toppings are always very good and the specialty pizzas are creative. The red sauce (standard marinara, I guess) is too sweet for me. I'm not from Cincinnati originally, and the pizza sauces (LaRosas comes to mind), the chili (Skyline, BLECH!), and the BBQ sauce (Montgomery Inn) are total sugar bombs! It's a strange flavor when you're not raised on it, and I am not acclimating very well! I think any good Italian restaurant should offer an Arrabiata sauce (take out sugar, add hot spices, done) and I wish Pomodori's had a spicy option over the sweet marinara. They have great starter salads (love the spinach salad) and minestrone soup. We go there often on week nights, and service is always fast. All in all, it's a nice spot for a pizza or pasta when you don't want to spend the big bucks (Nicola's or Germano's) and still support a local business.

This place has so much potential, it's frustrating. First off, the pizza is great. We love wood-fired pizza and Pomodori's is very good. We've been there four or five times and each time the pizza is fantastic. Fresh ingredients, the crust is perfectly baked with a nice crispy texture with just the right amount of burn from the oven. What could be a great place is held back by what seems to simply a lack of attention to detail by the ownership. Each time we've gone there, they have not had Tiramisu which is listed on the dessert menu. We asked the server tonight about it and she said they should just take it off the menu, as they had it in April and May and part of June but not since then and apparently little chance of coming back anytime soon. Another negative is the grime on the air conditioning units above the tables. I've watched enough Bar Rescue to know that those dirty vents are blowing dust and filth over the customers food and drinks. Another negative was the fact that they have about 8 beers on tap, but 4 of them had cups on them indicating those taps were empty and when I ordered the IPA they had our server Carly brought back a half-full glass, saying that was all they had, and gave it to me for free. Plus there's the music. Every time we've gone there, they've been playing classic rock tunes. I don't want to dig into a delicious pizza to the strains of Take It To The Limit, or Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap or White Wedding. It really takes away from the ambiance. Play some Sinatra or classical or something else. The owners had a chance to really draw from Indian Hill and Madeira but that window is closing quickly with A Tavola coming in next month. Missed opportunity. Probably our last time there with a wood-fired pizza place coming into our hometown of Madeira.

Did Pomodori's Montgomery for the first time in a few years last night. We had 10 people, including 6 kids in our party, and finding a place that could take us on short notice on a Saturday night was tough. Buca di Beppo and BD's Mongolian Grill couldn't seat us until after 8:30, but a call ahead had Pomodori's ready for us in 45 minutes. Food was average to above average. I had the Chicken Parmesan - it was tender, had a nice home-cooked touch, and a huge portion. My wife was not impressed with the Alfredo, which seemed to be on some kind of lasagna noodle. It was a nice idea, just didn't work out so well in practice, and sauce was a little bland. The rest of the party got pizza, which looked good (and was devoured). My biggest complaint was regarding the service. For a place that is teeming with families, the wait staff seemed like they had never seen kids before. I mean, our waitress seemed legitimately frightened :) When a drink spilled (since they brought all the kids drinks in adult glasses), she came over with a couple paper towels like..."Here." And of course, they were in NO hurry to get us our bills when we were done. I was actually annoyed they included the gratuity automatically due to the large party, as I felt like the service was more of a 15-er than a 20. So in conclusion, good food, good location, not so kid friendly.

Excellent Restaurant, great food and the service was fast and polite. Fantastic local wines are available. Bread is the core of any Italian-American experience and they have done an exceptional job. The only negative is beyond their control, but I wish they would offer child-free dining. If you have tried the UC Pomodoris and found it sub par, I suspect you will feel differently about the Remington road location, I find it hard to believe they have the same owner.

Drove up to building and thought it was closed, landscaping overgrown, open sign broken up, empty parking lot. We were waited on by nice enough girl, but she didn't seem interested in job. We ordered one thick crust pizza and 3 wood fired pizzas. The thick pizza came out first and the waitress said the wood fired would be out soon. We told the person to go ahead and eat while his was hot, ten minutes later still no pizzas finally 2 more came, one person still sitting hungry, and ten minutes later her pizza comes out. Wood fire thin crust should be done in five minutes. Waitress seemed not to care dining experience was screwed up, asked if we could get comped for pizzas because the waitress behind us did it for her customers. She said she would check and we did get wood fired free. I would like to give them another chance, maybe someone forgot to stoke the fire.

Food was great! Best pizza I've had in a long time. Decor was cool, copper tables. Very clean. Service was average. Definitely worth it. Ill be back.

Let me clarify first by saying I LOVE Pomi's food- pasta & pizza is wonderful. However, I refuse to give this place any more of my hard-earned money because of the poor customer service. Service is ATROCIOUS! Saturday night we went for a birthday dinner and our waitress was so unfriendly; she actually rolled her eyes at us on two occasions! Somehow I was craving the same pizza on Sunday and ordered carry-out in hopes of avoiding mean wait staff, but the 15-20 minute wait became more like 45 minutes. When we finally opened our salad at home, the lettuce was rotten and no one seemed to care when we called to notify the restaurant. As much as I love the food, there are other great Italian options and with far better service.

Food was good. Service was good. The heat must not have been working because it was cold. We complained about it and the waiter said they turned the heat up but it did not get any warmer. We had to keep our coats on and the other customers had their coats on also. We would have left but we had arranged to meet some people there.

This place has the best pizza and the freshest pasta around. I've been coming here for almost 5 years now, and the food has never ceased to amaze me. Prices are also very reasonable, which makes Pomidoris a no brainer when I need a pasta or pizza fix.

I did not pay for this, as it was where the rehearsal lunch was for my friend's wedding. I loved their pizza. We had a thin crust pizza with tomato and basil. It was very yummy. they also served a salad(which I didn't partake in because my boy and I were too lazy to go get some) And chicken Alfredo which was alight, it seemed to lack some flavor. The sangria. Boy was it yummy. Some of the party was not happy cause they only had red, but it was so good. And my favorite part was the peach in it, it was a really big hunk and it was delish. Also this place only serves wine or beer, so no hard liquor. All in all I would go back, and PAY for it!

I have eaten at this restaurant quite a few times because it is very close to my home. This place is quite disappointing. If you order a few things to eat, they will make a mistake with at least one of the items, or one of the items you ordered will be totally tasteless or inedible. The other two will probably be o.k.. I suspect the reasons to be the total lack of training of the servers, lack of experience in preparing food, and the lack of interest in pleasing customers. Once we ordered a wood fired pizza and the crust was so hard that it literally made a sound when I put it back on the plate (the sound you might hear if you were to hit a porcelain surface with a piece of wood.) We didn't know what to do so ate some part of the pizza, the least hard areas around the center. We explained that the pizza was inedible to the server, expecting a huge apology and an offer to serve an alternative dish or an offer not to charge for it. They did neither. I was stunned, lost all energy to complain and left. On the other occasions, the ice tea was nearly completely tasteless and the salad lacked the grilled chicken on top of it which we had ordered. (We were the ONLY customers there. Therefore they didn't have the excuse of being too busy to remember the order). This is a nice building and I hope someone will purchase the restaurant and open a new restaurant. I think this place, under the current management, will go bankrupt soon.

Want to give ZERO stars. Absolutely no flavor on any of the 3 pizzas we had. Beer was good and was asked a total of ZERO times if I wanted another one in the 50 min I was here. Terrible service and crap food. Please avoid. Friday night at 7:30 and there's 15 people in the place. Should tell you something....
