Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Mio's was the first place I ever liked cheese on my salad. And the house-made creamy garlic dressing is to die for. The pizza is also very good -- some of the best in Cincinnati, which isn't known for its good 'za. Service at this particular location was particularly slow, but -- in my opinion -- the food is always worth it. Will certainly look to order to-go from this location in the future.

If you're from the Chicago area or looking for a good deep dish then this is the place to go, I had the Windy City Classic and it was delicious, I'm usually not a fan of Chicago style pizza, but this place has changed my mind.

If I was grading Mio's solely on the pizza it would be 5 stars no doubt about it. However the last time I ordered delivery from this location I mixed it up and got a couple salads. Two Caesar salads to be exact (which the online menu doesn't tell you are $8.) After my 70 minute wait time I opened my pizza and was smiling ear to ear. However the salads had me wanting to drive it back to the store. Look I love Mio's pizzeria but an 8 dollar salad made up of 5 giant uncut lettuce leafs and a handful of croutons is kind of a slap in the face. Probably just an anomaly but this is enough of a mistake to make me second guess THIS Mio's location going forward. Mariemont Mio's dine in is superb so I'll gladly take the extra five minutes and go there.

Inside is small so avoid busy time if you're planning to eat here. The sesame seed crust is definitely different, but in a good way. Nice surprise. Ingredients are definitely fresh, had The Veggie and really enjoyed it. Extra bonus point for their use of the right word, "hoagies"!

not bad

This is my face pizza place in Cincy! I leave the sesame seed crust, and how they out the sauce on top of the cheese on the cheese pizza. If you're looking for a good, local, delivery pizza then go to Mio's. For real.

This was the worst pizza I have ever had. I paid 17 dollars in all for a flimsy cheese less two topping piece of cardboard. However I am not surprised because people in cinci have no concept of what good pizza, or food tastes like. This is just sad.

Deep dish Chicago style to die for! Tomato rich, cheese smothered. A heart attack waiting to happen but soo good

A couple of Friday's ago my wife and I were staying in for the night and decided to order pizza from Mio's Pizzeria. It had been many years since I had last had pizza from Mio's but once our stuffed pizza arrived I immediately remembered it. To go along with our stuffed pizza we had a coupon for a free original crust pizza and we also added an order of breadsticks. We actually wanted the cheese covered breadsticks but the regular ones were delivered instead. Speaking of delivery, our driver had a cool little handheld credit card machine to process our order. It was nice not having to give our credit card number over the phone for once. But back to the breadsticks. They were very average in taste and though there were six of them, I don't think it was worth the $4.99 price tag. I would skip these in the future. On to the star of the night, the Windy City Classic stuffed pizza with Italian sausage, onion, green peppers, and three cheeses. The 13 large pizza isn't cheap ($22.99) but it is well worth the cost. Plus the slices of pizza are so large that just two of them is a complete meal. Everything about this pizza was excellent! The mix of cheese was tasty and the sauce was exquisite! Even the crust, which can often be overlooked on a pizza, had a great taste making each slice enjoyable until the last bite. My only complaint was that the toppings on the inside seemed a bit scarce. I skipped over the original crust in favor of the stuffed for my first couple of slices, but I did manage to stuff down one slice of this pizza before calling it quits. This 12 medium pizza would have cost $10.19 without the coupon. Overall this pizza was pretty good, but in my opinion it couldn't compare to the stuffed. Maybe if I hadn't had the stuffed pizza first I would have felt differently about this one, but in my opinion it is worth the extra money to get the stuffed and skip the original. It's delicious!

Yum! By far, one of my favorite pizza places in Cincinnati. This location doesn't have anywhere to sit and parking can be a huge headache but it is worth it. I love their crust (without sesame seeds) and I love getting a spinach, bacon and onion pizza from them. Delicious! Also, deep dish, sauce on top of everything else rather than on the bottom, is worth trying. Some people can't handle mixing their pizza up that much but you can't just eat one type of pizza your whole life!

Ok, maybe I didn't do Mio's right. I was out and about in Hyde Park with Laura G and we needed to get some food. I'd heard of Mio's but never been in, so this might be the time to do it. This is a tiny, tiny one tiny room restaurant with no more than four tables. Clearly people are coming here for the take-out and not so much the sit-down. It is really cute though - kind of feels like your grandmother's kitchen with it's pictures of roosters everywhere and handmade art projects and chalkboards. Our waitress came over, full of smiles, and asked if we were eating in. We were. She pointed us to a table where we sat and found that their menus are the same paper ones you take home and put under your sink for that time you need delivery. Again, eating in may not be the way to go... I heard about the pizza but I just wasn't in the mood. I got a hoagie instead, which was fine. Basically warmed bread, meat, sauce and onions with a side of chips on a plastic yellow plate. Really nothing fancy. It was cheap and tasty though, so not a lot of complaining going on here. I don't know, I just wasn't overwhelmed. It was a fine, middle-of-the-road experience. As always though, I'm willing to go back if people drop suggestions on what I should have ate. Until then though, I'm just going to have to go three stars.

Some of the best pizza in Cincinnati! You can't get a pizza here for $5.00 nor should you....leave that to the romans! Don't compare it to NYC or Chicago.....it's Cincy Pie. Not wood fired, gourmet, or goat cheesy......just good pie made with fresh ingredients. They deliver hot and on time and it doesn't taste like the box (i.e. Dominoes) There is no gimmicky crust stuffed with 10 meats.....just great pie. I recommend trying a pie with Bacon, Onion & Tomato....if that's your thing.

Pizza was overpriced and soggy. Flavor wasn't all that great either. Haven't had a craving for pizza since. Don't waste the money/time - Dewey's is the best every time!

Mio's isn't as impressive as Dewey's or Ramundo's, but it's always dependable (and it's convenient). The variety of their crust options jazzes up a pretty ordinary menu. Their stuffed Chicago-style pizzas are my favorite thing to get, even though it's not nearly as good as what you'd get in the Windy City. The crust is nice and flaky, but if you're not a fan of copious quantities of sauce, stick with the more traditional options. We tried the pasta once, and it was about what you'd expect from a pizza place. Pretty much an afterthought. If you like the ordinary (and there's nothing wrong with that) Mio's might be the place for you. Otherwise, now that Ramundo's delivers, I have very little reason to stick with Mio's.

Mio's in Hyde Park is a mini-pizzeria. You can't eat in here, so don't try! This Mio's location is for nearby residents needing a delicious pizza fix to accompany their favorite television show at home. For local carry-out or delivery, these pizzas can't be beat! Absolutely amazing, from the crust to the sauce to the toppings (the meat topper and veggie topper are my favorites). If you're thinking breadsticks, try the basil bread, a delightful variation on the cheese bread standby. If you want a stellar dining experience at Mio's, I recommend making the drive to my favorite location in Mariemont.

I love Mio's! If I want regular pizza (as opposed to Dewey's or super fancy pizza), Mio's is my only choice in Cincinnati. They do this thing where they drop spots of sauce on top of the cheese and toppings (if you get pepperoni, they put it on the pepperonis) before they bake it and I don't know but it's amazing. I always get their regular crust with pineapples and banana peppers, sometimes pepperoni, and I have never been let down. I've eaten in and carried out and the dining room (TINY) is super cute and I love how laid back it is. It reminds me of a little hometown pizza joint from an old movie. The service is great-the guy that waited on us razzed us and teased my friend about his insane hygiene habit (he was freaked because they don't have a public restroom so he couldn't wash his hands--dude brought him some hand sanitizer and helped me make endless fun of my friend for being such a germophobe.) It was fun and I liked that I actually felt "at home" at a restaurant in Cincinnati. I will say that the breadsticks are nothing fancy and a bit overpriced. The pizza is always done before they say it will be done so come early if you want it to still be hot when you get home. My pizza is usually a little cooled down by the time I get from HP to PRidge. It's great pizza for the day after, heats up in the micro but it's way better in the oven. If you've never tried it, get on it!

I was really in the mood for a giant chicken salad when I walked into Mio's with Alex S. and Mio's certainly delivered in true A-OK fashion. The place is way smaller on the inside than I expected, so I think carry-out is the main draw. There are about four tables scattered about but we had no problem sitting down at 2 p.m. Our waitress was really nice and our food was out in about 10 minutes. My chicken salad was pretty basic, with nothing really super about it. However, when I asked for croutons our server said they had to be baked and then brought out a plate of freshly baked bread bits which were definitely the highlight of my meal. I say go for the pizza, get it to go and enjoy.

Best pizza in the Nati! I'm an east coast girl and I know pizza. Mio's is the best you can find in town - trust me, I've searched. I have eaten a ton of Mio's pizza. I think it is their sauce that I like so much. Tangy, a bit spicy and delish. Or maybe its the cheese - lots of it. Or the crust - its just right. Though I will say, their pizza will leave you needing a large glass of water (oooh salty) - probably the only negative comment I have and easily remedied. There is something addicting about it nonetheless. I can't say much for the restaurant itself in terms of ambience or atmosphere because I always got take out. The staff there are friendly and pleasant. And my orders were always ready on time. Their stuffed pizzas are really good, though I'm more of a regular pizza gal myself. If pizza is what you crave, Mio's is the place to go.

So what I thought was a horrible experience Mio's turned out to be a good one. I ordered what I thought was a normal four-cheese pizza and what I got was cheddar with no sauce. I was appalled. I looked back on the menu and discovered that indeed their cheese pizza called for no sauce but that didn't account for the lack of the three other cheeses! I guess the guy misunderstood me somehow. Anyway, I threw a hissy-fit and left the pizza to sit on the counter. I was hungry. It was a long day. I wanted pizza. The pizza was wrong. I was going to kill someone. I think we've all been there. After a little bit I calmed down and decided to at least try it. I opened the box and discovered one of the tiniest slices of pizza I have ever seen. My husband had devoured the rest of the pizza and for some reason had no room for the puny last slice. I took a bite and even with it being room-temp, I was in love. It was buttery and delicious! I so wish that the crazy, Mr. Hyde Sarah hadn't taken over so I couldn't have properly enjoyed it when it was warm and not almost gone. I most definitely need a do over.

I finally experienced a stuffed pizza from Mio's and my family is now hooked. I have always been turned off by the lack of parking and lack of people entering the place, but the pizza more than makes up for it. It's a little on the pricey side, but it is worth it.

In my never-ending quest to find a decent pie in Cincinnati, I gave Mio's a shot. Its good. Straight up east coast pizza as I was led to believe, it is not. In all seriousness though, Mio's is very good and I'll probably go back again. Definitely in the top notch pizza's that I've found. Next time you want pizza, skip Domino's, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, and especially Larosa's, and head over to Mio's!

Mio's is sort of the little brother to La Rosa's in Cincinnati. Fewer locations, less hype.......but I think the food is just as solid. The pizza is very tasty, but a little on the pricey side. My favorite pizza there is the "Heart Smart Deluxe" which has light cheese, fresh tomatoes, and other veggie toppings. They also have really good "stuffed" pizzas which are basically Chicago deep dish style filled with whatever toppings you want. Finally, they have calzones and also decent salads to choose from. The atmosphere is definitely family friendly. Each table is covered with paper and there are crayons for drawing. There is also trivial pursuit question cards at each table.

I just moved to Cincinnati from Chicago 2 weeks ago. As a lifelong Chicagoan, I was excited to try Mio's stuffed pizza and I really wanted to like it!! 2 stars. A noble effort, but it fell very flat. The crust is droopy and thin, the tomato sauce is way too sweet, and the cheese is somehow off and lacking the stretchy consistency it needs (when pulling a slice of stuffed pizza, it should look like this: checkraise.com/photos/FB… ). That's enough to drop it to 3 stars, but I can only give it 2 because it wasn't stuffed very full! A Chicago stuffed has quite a bit of cheese/toppings stuffed into it. The stuffing in Mio's is half the amount you'd find in a Chicago pizza.

There used to be a Mio's in North College Hill, and my parents would often take me and my brother there to appease us and avoid doing any cooking or cleaning. I ordered the same topping every time: black olives, only black olives, extra black olives. Nobody else liked this, but everybody did like the pizza there, which is thick, super cheesy, and delightfully crusty, whether you get the regular or stuffed. And of course, they've gained fame for their heart-shaped pizzas, served every Valentine's Day. While the amount of mozzarella loaded onto/into the pie isn't good for your anatomical heart, the cutesiness of it is good for the romantic version. Probably even good enough to make up for the fact that you took your special someone out to a pizza joint for Valentine's Day.

The stuffed pizza was really good, it was the closest thing to being in Chicago!

mio's delivered us a nice pizza and salad.... and i just ate the salad. we got the BBQ chicken pizza - definitely not favorite but i'll eat any pizza - but this was just not very good. and expensive!!!! our bill came to $20 for just a pizza and garden salad. the salad was very standard but the lettuce was crisp and the dressing was yummy. i just really didn't like the pizza though. womp womp.
