I've been here several times for work lunches and a few dinners as well as a Theology on Tap series or two. They have a pretty huge menu of italian options so it's a good-for-groups kind of place. I've always had attentive service, and no complaints on the food-though I've mostly had apps, sandwiches (they are HUGE), and apps. They've been a supportive member of the community and I hope they continue to be a presence as Short Vine gains new life.

Maybe I just went on a bad day, but nothing I had was good. I ordered the Mama Mia hoagie. It was essentially a foot of bread. The chicken on it was tiny and the bacon had no flavor whatsoever. I'm sure it was just the microwave kind, but had been heated much earlier. We also got a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. It reminded me of what you get at a gas station. Very very greasy and tasted like plastic. Definitely won't be back for a second chance.

A Steeler bar in Cincinnati - how could I not like this place? I ordered the "Boss," which is a huge hot sausage sandwich smothered in onions and green peppers. It was one of the better hot sausage sandwiches that I have ever had. The sausage had the perfect amount of spice. This place boasts a great atmosphere, however the beer selection is holding them back from 5 stars.

The stromboli was huge and amazing.. Love the wings.. The pizza had great crust.. With the beer special and the food it is great. Martino's is a must stop.

Cool place smack dab across the street from Bogarts. I had a very nice Italian Chili bread bowl ($6) that hit the spot. Service was friendly and prompt, I think the server was named Zach. It was quiet on the night I was there but assume that on a gameday (especially for the Steelers games) this place would be busy loud and fun. The menu has almost too many options, not that that's a bad thing, I just have one stomach. :( I'll have to return for more of their grub. So, if you're in Clifton, swing by this place and stuff your belly. And for you Pittsburgh Steelers fans, this is probably already on your short list.

We went around 8:00 and were seated immediately. The seating was plentiful and spaced out nicely so we didn't feel crowded. We were promptly waited on by the server. The menu featured many options, especially the hoagies. The portions were generous and reasonably priced. The dessert was great as well. I'll definitely return soon.

How does this place have 4 stars? The burgers are premade, frozen patties that have no flavor. There's Steelers stuff all over the walls. The Philly Cheese tasted like it had an abundance of mayo or some cream sauce in it. Nothing was really fresh and the wait was absolutely absurd. I'll give this place a courtesy star for the politeness of our waiter.

Hey have great food and service with a wide variety. Usually not very busy so you don't have to wait. Pretty cheap even drinks. They are great to work with you to reserve space for special occasions!

If you live in or visit Cincinnati and fail to visit Martino's you're missing out. The staff is so incredibly friendly, the food is delicious (and prices are beyond reasonable), and the owner (Marti) is involved, friendly, and visible. I was in town from Fort Lauderdale for the Bengals vs Steelers game and chose to stop in because I am a Steelers fan, and Martino's was reviewed as a Steelers bar (and it definitely is). But it is much more than that. The stuffed hot peppers reminded me of what my family makes, the "small" Italian hoagie that ran us approximately $10 was easily enough for two to share (it was enormous), and everything else that we tried in our two visits over the weekend did not disappoint either. Really can't say enough great things about this place.

Get the half sandwich. Delicious, gigantic subs, and friendly service. Great place to watch a Pens or Steelers game.

Five stars for the excellent bar service and homey atmosphere. The bartender I had was pretty hot as well. Some of the food isn't really my cup of tea, but they have some really good options if you know what to get (the ribs are incredible as is the Bianco pizza). Marty, the owner, is a class act and his presence always makes the Martino's experience more enjoyable.

man, i am so upset at myself for taking about a 6 year hiatus from this place. their food is TREMENDOUS. seriously. unreal. i credit martino's for sticking it out on short vine - an area that has truly undergone some urban decay. and now the owner is pushing to make the entire street a bit nicer. good for you, brother. kt m. and i are placing martino's on the regular date nite rotation. represent.

Good food, gigantic portions and great prices. Menu is sprawling -- lots of pizza/hoagie/general pub grub options, with many selections that look more interesting than you usually see in similar joints. I've been here twice: First time had a Mediterranean Pizza (decent vegetarian combo with artichokes and feta), second time had half an Italian Stallion hoagie (multiple meat sub). Both times left stuffed for less than $9 (took some pizza home in fact). Friend with me had a salad, and it was also huge and fresh-looking. Nothing mind-blowing when it comes to food, but no complaints either. Full bar with middling liquor lineup (sadly, no Campari). Service ranges from enthusiastic to nonplussed. Convenient place to get dinner before a show at Bogart's.

5 star rating based on their Philly cheese steak alone. I'm originally from the east coast and had many a cheese steak in Philadelphia, the home of the cheese steak! Martino's has, by far, the BEST Philly cheese steak within 50 miles of downtown Cincy.

Went here on Sunday for the NFL games. Martino's is a Steelers bar but they turned on another game for us at one of the small booth TVs. We both got Philly Cheesesteaks which were pretty good. Still not a huge fan of the food but the atmosphere and wait staff are excellent so we will keep going back.

The hoagies are enormous, cheap, and delicious. Cool place to watch a game, although if you hate the Pittsburgh Steelers, you might not care for the place during their games. But the food is solid.

OK so I give it 4 out of 5 stars only b/c I've only been there once. But if the follow up trips are as good as the 1st, it'll be a 5star. FINALLY, a wonderful pizza. Thin, hand/home made dough, home made sauce, cooked just right. We went in @3:30p on Saturday. Both the manager and the waitress greeted us- super friendly. Gave us plenty of time to look over the menu since this was our first visit. We ordered Mozza-Muna - 1//2 moon of mozzarella cheese, deep fried accompanied by their home made sauce. Hubby (the traditionalist) had a pizza w/ cheese & pepperoni (I thought the pepperoni was spicy- but I'm not a pepperoni fan). I ordered the Mediterranean pizza- pizza sauce, feta, mozzarella, artichokes. Loved it!! Prices were good. We will go back. Can't wait to try some of their other authentic Italian dishes. That is if I can get past the pizza.

went for a bite to eat with the family here before a Moeller vs Elder HS football game and I was liking how they had options for food, had personal tvs, and prices werent bad at all. However, I'm wasn't thrilled how it was a Pittsburgh bar (I'm a bengals and reds fan by the way) or how i felt the hoagies could use more meat . Overall it was a solid spot and I will most definitly come back to Martino's and at this point I wish I could give half stars cause I've give 3.5 not 3 in this case .

I was introduced to Martino's not long after I moved to Cincinnati, and I've eaten there fairly regularly ever since from taking friends there to having lunch with colleagues. The wait staff are terrific and I know many of them by name. I love places where I feel like I'm seeing old friends again when I visit, and that's what Martino's is to me. While I'm not a Steelers fan per-se, I do enjoy going there during Steelers games for the amazing fan-filled atmosphere. I went when the Steelers were playing the Conference Championship game in 2011 and the place was going absolutely bonkers! It was great to root with other fans. There were even a few (brave) Jets fans sprinkled in the crowd, but they were treated with respect, and that's priceless during times where opposing fans are often treated poorly and even physically attacked. The food is good, and comes in such large portions that I generally don't finish my plate... and coming from me that is huge! Everyone in Cincinnati should visit Martino's at least once. Who knows, you may even become a Steelers fan!

This is why you come to Cincinnati, for entertainment, great affordable food and hospitality on the Rhine(ShortVine). If you like Steelers, plant youself there every week end in The Fall. Great Spirit, fun fun, and better than sittin alone and playing with yourself. Order the salad with french fries in it.

A Pittsburgh steelers bar in a Cincy neighborhood kind of quiet on a Friday night at 7. Don't be fooled. This place is great. Value pricing, big portions and great food. The Pittsburgh style wings with Sparky sauce is awesome ( combo BBQ sauce and garlic) gnocchi is homemade and meatballs are delicious. Tv screens are playing sports and place has chill vibe. Would return.

Massive servings packed with delicious Italian flavor. Atmosphere isn't great but the food makes up for the Keno screens and Steelers gear. Pretty much everything I've had here has been solid, from the Pittsburgh steak salad to the Volcano to the Mobster two-foot mega-hoagie. Ask about their dessert and they may surprise you with cheesecake wrapped in dough then deep-fried, with strawberry sauce and powdered sugar drizzled on top, or light, crispy, cinnamony zeppole. Too bad they are the Steelers bar of Cincinnati.

A friend of mine recommended Martino's as a place to go to get good wings, so when I needed to find cable TV for a Ohio State football game on ESPN I headed over. We tried a few different starters and wings, and I don't think we'll be back again. The wings were "Pittsburgh style," which apparently refers to the fact they are the full wing, not broken into the drumstick and the thigh. Martino's deep fries their wings and as a result you get some good crispy bites. Unfortunately, may were also overcooked and the sauce wasn't very good (mild with spicy garlic on the side). Our favorite order was the jalapeno poppers, which were nicely breaded and had a tasty cheese inside. The garlic bread cheese sticks were pretty bland and disappointing - if I'm going to consciously eat that much oil and fat I'd like it to at least taste amazing to overcome the fact that I feel stupid for taking one step closer to a heart attack. They do have an awful lot of TVs at Martino's, and the staff was very friendly. Too bad the food isn't better, then maybe we'd return.

Great place. Friendly atmosphere and good food. Also, I'm a Steelers fan and this is the only Steelers bar in Cincinnati...yeah, I know there's a reason for that! Anyway, my wife and I went for a Steelers game and everyone was extremely friendly, service was pretty good considering how packed the place was and they make a close version of a Pittsburgh tradition...the Primanti Brother's sandwich. I recommend this place, even if you're not a Steelers fan. ;-)
