First and foremost this is a really good burger place with friendly folks running the place. They have a number of specialty burgers of course and the ones my wife and I tried were very delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Not for one specific crowd and anyone who walked in the door received the same treatment that we did. Really impressed by the service and genuine niceness of the folks working there. We'll be back again and I am looking forward to it!

Mad Mike's is A-OK. The menu is the best part. You can tell they put a lot of effort into their use of ingredients and their preparation. I had the Hawaii Five-0 with Cajun Style Fries. Both were good. The burger was extremely greasy so a little hard to eat. The service was polite.

Worse burger ever!! They had no taste at all. The fried pickles were VERY salty. We were asked how are was our food; we told them the pickles were so salty and we couldn't eat them. The cashier began to say there's no salt on them. But will ask. she NEVER came back!! We told her again and she just said sorry and walked away! We weren't looking for money back cause trust me I would of wanted every dime back. Except for the chicken finger that my niece loved!!! We will never return!

Just opened today @ 11 am and I was just driving past to go somewhere else for lunch and noticed it was opened so we stopped in. I like the different choices for burgers instead of the plain hamburgers. The burger was big (2 patties) and I had the american outlaw burger. The sandwich had a good taste and the patties were flavorful which I liked. My wife had the The Mafioso (Italian sandwich) and she really like it which she usually goes with a regular cheeseburger. The fries were good, had a nice seasoning on them. I would have given them a 5 but if you know the location, it was for the parking. But I will be going back again..

After reading so many good reviews, I was expecting more form Mad Mike's Burgers & Fries. They have an extensive burger/ sandwich menu. The portions are large. Not only do they fill the fry cup, but add a few extra pinches. Upon opening my bag, and laying everything out, I was excited to dig in. At first I thought the fries were so dark because they had paprika or some other seasoning on them. Unfortunately, not only were the fires, but everything in my order was overcooked. Food was ready quickly. Not sure how there was time for that to happen. While being overcooked, only the ends of a few were crisp. They weren't stale, but had a similar texture. They don't double fry here. The burger was what I had really been looking forward to. The burgers are two patties. Not only are there their menu options to choose from, but they also have free toppings, so patrons may construct their own concoctions. Since this was my first time, I decided to go with one of their menu options. I chose the one that came with a fried egg, cream cheese, jalapenos and a few other things. For me, the best part of a fried egg on a burger is when the yolk runs all over the sandwich. Not only was the yolk in this egg cooked ALL the way, but it looked like it had been popped prion to or during cooking. While the patties did have a nice char on them, they were on the dry side. A runny yolk would have helped immensely. The jalapeno flakes were mixed into the cream cheese. I didn't get any heat from the peppers. Not quite enough of the cheese to add moisture either. I think I would have been happier with Wendy's. My husband said that his burger was okay. My son had a chicken sandwich, and it looked really good. I wish I had ordered that. I may have ended up writing a different review. He ate it all. My daughter's grilled cheese was white sandwich bread and Kraft (or whatever brand they use,) Singles. She was the only one who enjoyed the fries. They serve Coke products. That was a plus for us. The woman who took our order at the desk was really nice and friendly. She also brought us our food, and brought our kids some extra pickles. I am torn between 2 & 3 stars. The chicken sandwich looked so good, they have the service, and they have received so many 5 star reviews, Mad Mike's has to be capable of better. I have to review based on what we ate, and it just wasn't there. I may be willing to give Mad Mike's another shot, but it will be awhile before that happens. The search for a great burger in Cincy continues.

Mad Mike's sides and the size of their final product are what make Mike really mad. The burgers are just "meh" - and a little overdone to my liking. But the sides are pretty legit. Oh, and the fries?! They gave us enough for a small army. I love steak fries!!!! I really do hope that this restaurant works out here, as the past several restaurants in this specific location haven't faired so well or lasted very long. It's definitely a fun place to come after a sports game or before hitting up the knotty pine across the street. A good, cheap and EXTREMELY filling dinner when you're short on time and/or cash!!

Loved this place....... The burgers are fantastic....... I thought the fries were Not spectacular though. For a burger joint, the prices are a little high, but worth it for the burgers. I recommend ordering the burgers to go and make some store bought fries and save the money. We will make this a regular stop for our family.

Had the Mad Cali burger and while it was good, it could have used a bit more avocado or better spaced avocado so the flavors are evenly spaced. But the burger and fries were good and hot. Definitely would come here again.

Happened upon this place thanks to Yelp! Was looking to try something different but my hopes were a bit too high. Perhaps I just ordered the wrong thing but was very reminiscent of the five guys franchise with slightly better toppings and slightly worse beef. I will probably give them another try, as I always do with new places, but Will order either the fish sandwich or the ground chicken burgers next time. Oh, and if wanting to test their food for less, order a kids meal, they're actually adult sized! P.S. Despite other reviews, I thought their fries were delicious.

By far the best burger joint in White Oak! I've visited several times, and always received a warm welcome from the staff. You order at the counter, sit down, and they bring the food out to your table in a brown paper bag. Every time I've eaten in the restaurant, someone has come by and asked how my meal was and if I needed anything. Not sure where other reviewers had their difficulties- because I've always felt the customer service was top notch. Their menu consists of several different types of specialty burgers- which all consist of 2 meat patties. They also have a smaller burger with only one patty that you can customize with as many sides as you would like, and they offer a pretty vast array of sides. They are also very accomodating when you customize the specialty burgers. The fries are flash fried and tend to be extremely greasy (thereby delicious!). They are very generous, and no matter what size you order- they throw in at least an extra handful. They provide lots of food- at a great price (around $6 for the specialty burgers) Great value- great food!

Can't say even good things about this place, when I walked in the door I was greeted with a smiling friendly face. Being a newbie the woman explained things and also said which burgers were the most popular. I got the big text and the BBQ sauce was perfect and so was the flavor of the burger. I will be making many return trips for sure. The staff seem like the really enjoy there job and were so very helpful. Thanks

Tried Mad Mike's on Cheviot for the first time today because of the good reviews on here. It was 88 degrees outside, no a/c inside. Cashier was rude and surly. We were the only people in there and it still took 15 minutes to get our food. Menu was confusing, the main menu was way over to the left, we ordered chicken sandwiches by mistake because that's the only menu we could see from the cash register. $7 for a sandwich and fries are extra. We had planned to eat at the restaurant but the cashier tossed the food on the table already shoved in a bag so we took it to go. Sandwiches were decent, but because of the horrible customer service I think I'll stick with 5 Guys Burgers & Fries from now on.

Excellent service and knowledgeable staff at the White Oak location. Food was fresh and they accommodated my gluten issue easily. The hand-partied chicken was a nice change from the plain chicken breast I usually get at burger joints. Husband's pretzel bun looked awesome and the burger was huge.

I found a groupon for this place and thought that I would give it a try especially after seeing the menu and realizing that they had been also featured on the food network. Their menu consists of regular burgers and gourmet burgers. The gourmet burgers are definitely worth visiting one of their locations. Either in Newport Ky or Cheviot OH. I went to the one in Cheviot and although the cashier who I think also ran the restaurant was horrible at customer service and being polite. The burgers made up for it. The fries are given to you in a cup but they also put more in the bag but they were very greasy, cold, and overcooked. We tried 3 double burgers, the jalepeno cheeseburger, the goliath which has grilled cheese sandwiches for buns, bbq sauce and onions...YUM!! and the pinapple bacon cheeseburger, all were prepared fresh and great tasting. All in all an OK experience.

Our second visit. First was shortly after they opened. Food was fresh and great and staff is really friendly. Their burger, fry, and drink deal is nice because you get a drink and fries for about 50 to 60 cents more than just gettinf one or the other. It'd be nice if they had an onion ring deal too since my wife likes the rings. It has the cozy diner feel which we liked. I definitely recommend trying the place if you haven't.

So I try this place today, the location off Cheviot. I got the Big Texan - a darn good burger. It came with Bacon, fried onions, BBQ sause, and cheese. It's a double so be prepared. This place reminds me a lot of Five Guys, so if you're a fan of that place, you should like Mad Mike's.

Mushroom burger with bacon. They made it fresh, but the cheese didn't melt. It tasted ok. Fries are the only side - I would have liked slaw or a salad. Not a lot of atmosphere - but it is clean, and the person at the counter was nice. I was eating in, but my food came in a tin foil covered cardboard boat in a brown paper bag.

Last week I found myself in White Oak with no plans for lunch. The second I drove past Mad Mike's I knew this would be the place, so I quickly turned around and parked my car. The Reds mural on the side of the building is very eye-catching from Cheviot Rd just before intersecting with Blue Rock Rd. Mad Mike's is a small chain of restaurants around the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area that specializes in burgers. However they also offer chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, and a small selection of other sandwiches. Just one employee was working during my visit, alternating between taking orders and cooking the food. I was shocked when he dropped off my food as quickly as he did. I went with a "what the cluck" chicken sandwich with cilantro mayo, avocado slices, bacon, Swiss cheese, lettuce, and tomato ($6.99). The chicken is hand pattied all white meat and was stacked two high on the bun, which was nice as it was not very thick. The avocado was fresh and abundant. The flavor of the sandwich was very good. The fries (regular size for $2.19) reminded me a lot of Penn Station. In fact vinegar was offered as a condiment making them nearly identical. I wouldn't go out-of-the-way for Mad Mike's but you could certainly do much worse.

ZERO STARS IS GENEROUS for the Cheviot Rd and Blue Rock Rd Location 1) Middle Aged Women at register was very RUDE 2) Daughter and I had bought Discount Coupons since I had heard the place was supposed to be of quality, both came in to get 'to go' orders to take to our respective houses. Lady claimed were 'one party' and refused to honor our second coupon. Was RUDE about it 3) Ordered 1 Big Tex and 1 Shrooms burger - got home and found 2 Big Tex. 4) on the mistake burger -- it was very overcooked and dry. Now I am stuck with a pre-paid Groupon Coupon for a place that cannot get the orders correct, serve dry burgers and have RUDE HELP. STAY AWAY from this location

Went on a Wednesday night around 7-7:30. The place was completely empty. Even though the yelp reviews were positive, the fact it was empty made me a bit nervous. I ordered the Goliath (the burger that uses grilled cheese as buns) and cheesy bacon ranch fries. The guy who took our order was also the one making the food. He was not overly friendly but he got our order right and the food came out in a very timely manner. The burger was very good, nice and juicy, and to my surprise the grilled cheese portion did not become overly soggy. The fries were pretty good as well but then again it's hard to screw them up. Overall it was a good experience and I would not hesitate to go back, but I won't be going completely out of my way to get there either. As far as burger joints go, this was a good one.
