Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

For a chain, the food and service here are great. Everyone is so friendly. I went with a big group of friends for cinco de mayo and they had great specials ($2 mexican beers and free chips and salsa). Their patio in USquare is large with a lot of seating. We had brought our dogs with us and they brought them water bowls and were happy to let us order drinks from the table and bring us whatever we needed, even though its not a full service restaurant. super dog friendly and fun. and the food is great too

Good tacos. Ordering was very slow. A bit pricey for what you get. Then ordered showed up with soft instead of hard shells. Unlimited chips but they brought me literally a handful. Good atmosphere.

This is a chain Mexican food joint. It serves it's purpose which is cheap fast tacos etc. It has beer in a bottle which is a definite plus. I had the nachos which were pretty good for chain nachos, good toppings distribution, didn't get any soggy chips and the portion was huge (I didn't finish). I don't personally like their caso, I prefer nuclear orange lava cheese and they had a caso blanco of sorts... probably most people would prefer that to my weirdo love of nuclear cheese product. My BF had a burrito which was good but heavy on the rice and jalapenos (you will pay for it the next day). Food came out fast and the line didn't get too long even when it was poring and everyone was waiting inside for the football game delay to be over. It wasn't like super clean but it wasn't dirty so I think it gets a solid B for a college eatery. (I checked good for kids on here but I will note that I don't remember seeing any highchairs and also most of the tables are high tops, I didn't have any kids in our party. So probably good for kids who can sit in a chair solo)

The food is good and very friendly staff. I've had the fajitas twice and both times very good! The music is too loud though, very difficult to hear

Kid and Bearcat friendly, this is a comfortable casual place for great food. I've had the fish tacos, steak tacos, and the quesadilla fresca with steak. Just yummy. Love the variety of fresh and 'over the counter' salsas and hot sauces. You can go as hot as you wanna. Pretty much bottomless chips too! Service has always been very good start to finish.
