Dewey's is the best pizza place EVER. I have yet to find a comparable restaurant that offers the unique toppings and high quality service that you find at Dewey's. The Montgomery Rd. location is my favorite, especially because parking is really easy, the staff are great, I've never had bad service, and I always run into someone I know there. Highly recommended!

Good pizza and even better service. Hostess was very nice and waitress was very helpful. I really appreciate that in a restaurant. I got the Buffalo chicken pizza and the Dr. Dre. Dough was super fluffy and good mix of flavoring. Both pizzas had a pretty spicy kick. I gave it 5 stars because the food deserved 4 and the customer service brought it up to 5. I would recommend this to others and I will be returning

Nice variety of pizzas and more. Bronx Bomber (sausage & black olives) was very good. The crust was excellent--hand tossed--not too thick or too thin, and tasty! House salad and vinaigrette dressing also was very good. It was a good place for hungry, pizza craving group. Service was excellent. Decor was nice. Bathrooms were a bit dark. I would definitely return!

Ordered carryout last night. Got 1/2 meatball, 1/2 cheese. It was very tasty, but we were disappointed because there were bubbles all over the pizza and there was hardly any sauce and cheese on the meatball half. I would recommend checking the pizza before you leave with it. I would have not accepted it the way it was had I done so.

Love the bronx bomber pizza and all the salads. Very friendly staff. Price is on the high end for pizzas but worth it. You can do half n half pizzas. I recommend getting a larger pizza and taking home since the cost only goes up a few dollars per size.

My partners and I stopped in after Ofc. Kim's funeral yesterday. The staff was very friendly and the food delicious. What really moved me is that the manager came to our table and gave his condolences. We were soaking wet after having stood in the cemetery during a downpour. The manager paid for our dinners and voiced his support for law enforcement officers. I will come back to this restaurant every time I am in Cincinnati because of that man. Thank you sir.

Sorry, I've had better frozen pizza. A very uninspiring sausage mushroom with blah crust. Great salad and the knowledgeable friendly bartender was the only positive.

Excellent gourmet pizza place. If you go , don't get pepperoni Xtra cheese. That is not the point of the place. Get some different toppings such as feta cheese, minced garlic, or artichokes. Served with red or white sauce. Easily one of my favorite pizza places. The service is always great and the food offerings are delicious. You can get a traditional pizza or try something unique! Everything is tasty, I recommend getting the peppercorn ranch salad and pizza of course! Always crowded on weekends, so plan accordingly. Carry out is also offered which can be an option if you don't want to dine in. Enjoy!

Dewey's is great! Now we go to the West Chester location which is closer to where we live. Sometimes the sauce is a bit 'off' as they'll put hot pepper flakes in it. However, the beer that is on tap is always awesome so someone there knows what they're doing. Great salads, too.

Dewey's is a pizza that has a classy style to it. You can get toppings at Dewey's that other pizzerias may not offer. They have roasted garlic, as in the whole clove that you can smoosh across a slice. When we ordered roasted garlic at Donatos recently it was just chopped roasted garlic...eh. The crust at Dewey's is really tasty, not too thick and a bit chewy. There are many interesting combinations to choose from rather than just "supreme" or "meat lovers". Their salads are really great too! The house salad with Gorgonzola, pine nuts, dried cranberries and a vinaigrette dressing is such a mix of interesting tastes that work together! Many places have a similar salad now, but this was the first place I noticed it. They have plenty of locations around town now, so there is no reason not to go!

My husband and I went for a late dinner after spending the day in the ER with my dad down the street. The pizza was amazing I know we were starving but the crust was perfect and sauce delicious. We got a large wild mushroom to go and a side salad. I judge take out a little differently than eating in the restaurant and overall it was good. There was LOTS of cheese and fresh mushrooms but I am not a fan of the capers. There did not look to be any sauce on the pizza. Seriously, there was so much cheese it was hard to notice anything else... It was really good cheese too. The salad was ok also the home made dressing was very good. We will probably go back for an in house visit to try the other options.

This is the only Dewey's we've been to, and this is not your typical chain pizza joint. Their pie dough is all hand-tossed (you can watch them expertly toss it, just 10 feet inside the front door, behind a large glassed-off divider wall); their ingredients (including their sauces) are all fresh and not frozen; and they have about 15 specialty pizzas that are the backbone of the menu. Cheap? No. Great pizza at a reasonable upcharge? Yes. Service is consistently stellar. The wait staff is well trained and knowledgeable, and never has the "deer in the headlights" look. Salads are literally outstanding and huge, with 5-6 homemade dressings. Check out the salads. To top it all off, Dewey's craft beers on draft never fail to disappoint me, as they are not afraid to bring in some of the more obscure craft brews from east of the Mississippi, and their wines are also ever-changing and decent to very good (good enough to please a semi-discriminating palate and certainly good enough to toss down the hatch with a great pie). Great service, excellent pizza, interesting alcohol choices and a very nice contemporary atmosphere. Highly recommend Dewey's if you're in the area. It's about 1 minute off Montgomery Rd. at 275 so it's convenient to get there quickly for most east-siders. Love this place, and imagine the other Dewey's in town are similarly well-received.

The service is amazing! The staff are all in tune and on top of whatever they need to be. A+ The bartender was extremely busy but was helpful and exceptionally polite. The pizza was really good, it's the dough that makes this pizza. The ingredients are all fresh. Salads too. Also very good, equally as good as fresh garden greens. The Italian sausage is sliced versus loose if that matters. The only reason that I didn't give 5 stars is because I've had better pizza in Chicago or Detroit. It should be a 4.5 though.

Hadn't dined in at Dewey's in a while. The pizza tastes even better at the restaurant! We always have to get at least half the pizza as a Wild Mushroom. Their Killer Veggie is great as well. Can't beat the crust or the guys tossing the pizzas in the window. Loved the Heritage Salad (think that was the name; it has figs in it). The figs were delicious! Also, was trying to decide on the glass of wine to get and the server brought generous tastings of both! Water was continually replenished, and (I think it was) the assistant manager checked in a couple of times to make sure everything was a-ok. Great service!

I L-O-V-E Dewey's Edgar Allen Poe pizza, which has roasted garlic cloves, black olives and tomatoes. The crust is always fresh and baked just right. We happened to be the last table outside on the patio this year (outdoor seating reopens on Mother's Day), so I'll be enjoying my pizza inside for the next several months. Besides the food, I like the company culture; they believe in giving back to the community and encourage their employees to be involved in local charities.

Pizza made classy! We've tried most of their pizzas over the years, and every one of them has been superb. Our favorite is the traditional X pepperoni with minced garlic--spicy and flavorful and cheesy, the crust just soft and fresh enough you can fold it up and shove it in your face. Even those last bites of plain crust with just a little bit of pizza-y grease are delicious! Dewey's offers a big selection of gourmet toppings, and they're happy to let you try halves in two different varieties. Dine-in has an upscale, trendy feel, but it's plenty noisy and casual enough for kids, too. Service is always impeccable. (Although we usually opt for carryout so we can go home and gorge in our sweats.) Either way, don't miss the salads! Fresh, quality greens with lots of yummy topping choices and homemade dressings. Even the side sizes are enough to be a meal on their own. (But that would be dumb. Because pizza.)

Is it bad we have visited Deweys three times within 10 days.. and we are from Michigan? So far we have had ham and onion, sausage and roasted garlic, the edgar allen and the green lantern. Being a vegetarian I am in love with the latter two, these pies hold amazing flavors with fresh, quality ingredients. I cannot speak for the meat pizzas, but my husband says he really liked them. As an FYI, the ham comes in large slices, not little shreds or cubes. If I were to eat it I'd hate that, one bite and you're missing half your topping because it is impossible to not rip it off. But that might just be my own personal pet peeve. The green lantern and edgar allen are both phenom. Goats cheese - hello! They are similar with small differences, but you cannot really go wrong with either. If you are like me and cannot make up your mind just get halfsies. They don't mind, and they don't upcharge! Yay! You can customize any pie and create your own. There is the option for a white pizza or tomato sauce, and toppings include standard fare as well as roasted garlic, feta, artichokes, sundried tomatoes, kalamata olives, goats cheese and other goods for a slight upcharge. Salads are very fresh and good, and they are reasonably prized. Deweys serves a have a nice selection of local beers and massive, delicious pizza.. Sounds like it is time for another trip to the Queen city for us.

Having just moved to Cincinnati, I ordered pizza from Dewey's because of all the good things I've heard... the pizza was good but not amazing and they don't even have breadsticks????

LOVE DEWEYS! the pizzas are great, the Green Lantern is my favorite but I haven't had a pizza here that I didn't enjoy. One thing that usually surprises most people is how great their salads are! You can get a half sized salad to start and they're perfectly portioned. Wine list is llmited, but it's a casual pizza joint, so I don't expect much. Service is usually very quick considering the pizzas are made to order.

Ah, Dewey's. You are a staple of deliciousness. I had a meeting way out on Montgomery Road and this is where they wanted to eat, so off I wernt. I actually like Dewey's, but I was not feeling pizza. Oh well. We were seated at once, even though it was lunch time and the place was packed. That's how big this spot is. And there are windows everywhere so it's bright and friendly. I really actually liked just sitting here. And again, even though there were people everywhere, we had a crazy attentive waiter. He kept coming over to check on us and make sure we were OK and if we needed anything. They also bussed quickly that whenever we finished something, it was gone. Loved that! A+ for service. I ended up getting a salad and it was tasty (but basically like every other salad out there.) And they actually got a seasonal pie called the "Ballpark Pizza," which had mozzarella cheese, grilled red onions, sauerkraut and spicy Italian sausage. Crazy good! My only real problem was the chicken in my salad, which was cold. Blarg. No no, you need warm chicken for a cold salad. Beyond that, though, I was quite pleased. It's kind of like every other Dewey's out there ... and by kind of, I mean exactly, but there's always something comforting about that. Nom nom nom.

When we come ack to visit family in Ohio, we always stop in at Dewey's for a night of pizza. The salads are inventive, tastey and fresh. We love the seasonal special Cuban Pizza, with pork, ham, and pickles on a mustardy white sauce - scrumptious! Staff is very attentive, and if you have room for their deserts, you won't be disappointed!

I keep trying "new to me" pizza places in town and none compare to Dewey's! Tonight we tried the seasonal Tito Santiago. Crave worthy! I'll be sad for that one to leave the menu!

Since there's not a 4.5 star option, Dewey's gets 4 stars. Visiting from out of town, we took this recommendation from our hotel front desk. After reading several good reviews we arrived on a Friday night to a 40 minute wait. A wait usually means it's good, right!? Dewey's did not disappoint!! And we even got seated a little quicker than expected. Started with the Candied Walnut and Grape salad which fed 3 people easily. Great homeade dressing! The specialty pizzas all sounded amazing... we ended up geting a 1/2 and 1/2, X-Pepperoni and the Hawaiian. YUM! Crust is basically hand-tossed New York Style with just the right amount of crispness and toppings. The pale beer recommendation was right on, too. Would highly recommend this pizza place to anyone!!!!!

At a wedding in Cinci, was craving some pizza, and based on Yelp reviews this is where we went. Great family atmosphere, great selection of pies; we had a group of 10, they accomodated us quickly and the food was delicious. The "white sauce" pizzas were especially good. Definitely recommend.

Stopped in today, since I was on this side of town, to pick up a pizza for dinner. Ordered a 17" half & half (Socrates Revenge/Pepperoni, Mushrooms, Olives) at the counter, & was offered a glass of water for my wait....which ended up being only about 15 minutes - very nice! The staff was courteous & prompt, & the waiter at the bar was extremely friendly...he offered plates/utensils, & even offered for someone on the staff to help me take everything to my car. Eventually I'd like to actually try eating there in the restaurant, & the fact that I haven't yet is the only reason I'm giving 4 stars out of 5. Keep it up, guys! You're all as awesome as the delicious food on the menu :)

Love Dewey's! My entire family loves it. If you like a spicy red pizza sauce it is very good. I'm not a fan of the sweet pizza sauces of some of the other local pizza places. I,also, like the light hand tossed pizza dough My wife and daughters enjoy the salads and calzones. The service is excellent as well. If you are looking for a lot of variety on the menu this is not the place for you as you are going to get salad, pizza, calzones. That is it.

When I come home to Cincinnati, the first place I want to eat is Dewey's. The house salad (with feta cheese, dried cranberries and a dressing made for the gods) is unparalleled. As G.G. said, the point of this place is not so much the standard pizza fare, but the X-Pepperoni is my favorite non-New York City pepperoni pizza. I usually break down and order the X-Pepperoni when I return here. If I'm feeling more adventurous, the Socrates' Revenge is another great pizza, and their seasonal pizzas are fantastic. If I could deduct a half-star for the service, I would. I sometimes feel like the wait staff here in comprised of high schoolers who haven't yet learned the graces of cordiality in the food service biz. Still, I couldn't dock Dewey's down a whole star for a few bad apples--this place is too great.

Dewey's is a really great place to eat. They have great pizza and salads and I can't remember a time I had a bad experience there. We always start off with a Caesar and House salad, which are good to split, and delicious. They have a huge variety of pizzas and a special that changes every so often. I usually take advantage of the create-your-own and make a cheese pizza with spinach, onion, and red pepper. It is my absolute favorite! The pizza is hot, fresh (you can watch them make it!), and extremely tasty. Don't even worry about running out of table room, they have elevated pizza racks on the table so the pizza is raised out of your way. The atmosphere is casual, but sometimes crowded at the dinner rush. THe service is usually fine, I can't remember having a terrible experience. I would also recommend the calzones for something different. I can't say anything about the desserts because we always go elsewhere to get them afterward. 5 stars for great food, good service, and an overall cool place to go. Check it out!

Late in my high school "career," I got a job at the Harper's Point Dewey's Pizza. Dewey's is an upscale pizza place (although they've won local awards for their great salads too) named for the childhood nickname of the restaurant's president and founder Andrew E. Dewitt. When I was working at Dewey's they had area locations in Oakley (the original, since April 1998), Clifton, and Newport, while there was also a combined three or four others in Dayton, Cleveland, and even St. Louis. Today, Dewey's has expanded to seven Greater Cincinnati restaurants, with three in Greater St. Louis, two each in Dayton and Cleveland, and one ready to open in Columbus early next year. While I can't don't know anything about the newer West Chester, Kenwood, or Crestview Hills locations, while I was a Dewey's employee my Symmes Township location was the largest of them all. The Harper's Point Dewey's has two kitchens, one specifically for the large carryout business, and they also offer outdoor seating and have a frequently rented out party room. Now for the good stuff... Dewey's isn't a franchise, rather they are all owned and operated by the AED Enterprises, but they continue to expand due to their great food. The pizzas come in 11, 13 and 17-inch sizes, and are absolutely delicious with their "squishy" hand-tossed crust. You can order one of the 13 specialty pizzas, the seasonal pizza, or a create your own (CYO) with a choice of 24 "regular" toppings and 18 gourmet items. You can also go "half and half," even if you want one half to be a CYO white sauce pizza (olive oil, minced garlic, mozzarella, and fontina cheese) instead of the typical red sauce. My favorite specialty pizzas are the Green Lantern, Southwest BBQ Chicken, and the Bronx Bomber, while you can't go entirely wrong with the Dewey's Original (cheese) or the seasonal choice. As mentioned above, Dewey's also has a great reputation for their salads, led by the House which is served with balsamic vinaigrette. I prefer the Caesar with its French bread croutons, but I go with the peppercorn ranch dressing. Peppercorn Ranch, Greek, and Candied Walnut & Grape round out the rest of the salad menu. You really can't go wrong with anything at Dewey's, plus they have a bar and great desserts from top local bakeries, and the service is always good too. Even though I haven't worked at Dewey's for a few years, most of the servers I once worked along side of are still there and continue to do a great job.

I have tried to eat their pizza so many times but never worked out. I finally had had a chance yesterday when I didn't want to cook anything at home at late Sunday afternoon. The place looked really cool with enough seats. Also what I liked the best about Dewey's was friendly staff. I always tend to put service before food. I don't go to restaurants with bad staff even though the food is amazing. I think people have heard enough of their pizzas already but I have to say they are delicious. I tried Socrates' Revenge and Bronx Bomber. I highly recommend Socrates' Revenge because it's something that other pizza places don't have. I am eager to try other specialty pizzas later.

Got this place while visiting Cincinnati for the first time and was really impressed. Had their "Wild Mushroom" pizza, and greatly enjoyed it. If I find myself back in this area of Cincinnati, I would definitely make sure to find this place again.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Cheap?

Good food and service but music way TOO LOUD. Bounces off hard walls ceiling. Will hesitate to come back

Price is high for pizza but it is some of the best pizza I have found. The service is excellent and they rarely let you finish your drink before they've got a refill out!

Fresh, hot and perfect most of the time (Friday and Saturday night maybe a bit pushed, like many popular spots.). Of all Dewey's locations, this one is the best.

I'm from outta town and thanks to my fellow yelpers, I was not dissapointed. Dewey's is perfection. I thoroughly enjoyed the Socrates Revenge!! It has no meat but was very succulent!
(5)Caroline C.
The pizza I had here tonight was barely deserving of one star. Cold, undersauced, stingy with toppings. Miserable. Remind me not to go back here.
(1)Karen C.
I keep trying "new to me" pizza places in town and none compare to Dewey's! Tonight we tried the seasonal Tito Santiago. Crave worthy! I'll be sad for that one to leave the menu!
(5)Abhi M.
The pizza crust was good but the other stuff is sub par.
(3)Shay T.
I love Dewey's pizza. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I created my own pizza: white sauce, meatballs, ricotta cheese. Delicious!!!!!!
(5)Tim L.
Pizza done up bossman style. The regular pizza here is quality. Specialty pizzas are to die for. Even the salad is worth writing home about!

First time to Dewey's Pizza. The pizza and atmosphere was incredible! Don't know why we waited so long to visit but we'll be back soon. Service was great and speedy too.

The BBQ Chicken pizza is the best pizza I've ever had. Go get some!
(5)Bil S.
I was very disappointed in this visit. We experienced good service but the quality of the pizza was very sub par. I'm pretty sure that this is the last time that I will be here.
