SO and I visited for dinner early evening on a Saturday. Being a neighborhood gal I've seen 2 restaurants fail in this location after being vacated by a long seated Chinese carryout. It still looks like the Mexican place that lasted a nano second but the similarities end there. The service is wonderful, unobtrusive, friendly, informative. The food arrives quickly, hot off the stove. We shared an appetizer plate, not vegetarian, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan and lamb curry. We were asked several times if we wanted more rice and the water glasses were kept full. The food was terrific, the chai delicious, the music was nice and the whole place had a calm, glad you're here feel to it. I am wondering though, do Indian restaurants all use the same menu with the same dishes the way Chinese places do? I rarely see any variation. In any case, Delhi Palace does a great job. We're looking forward to their buffet. Oh, and no damned TV! That alone will keep us coming back.

We ordered takeout last night and had a really good meal. It was delicious. We wil go back. We'll do the delivery sometime soon as well.
(4)Annie R.
Spicy and delicious! ordered the channa masala and lamb do piaza on carryout. I was pleasantly surprised by both. The prices were great, though I would say to go a spice level down. I get a 4 every time I eat Indian, and next time I'll be getting a three. Going back later this week!
(5)Jeff M.
This is my first time in since they opened- I love the concept of a Buffett, but often avoid them do to inability of most to deliver a good experience. The folks at Delhi Palace get it right- food is hot, fresh, and super tasty. I have liked everything I had tried.
(5)c b.
We loved it, and this is why: 1. Service - friendly, eager to please, fast, water refils; they're on it! 2. Delivery - we live within the designated 3 mile radius...score! 3. Papadums - lentil wafers before your meal! Salty, with a bit of chutneys on the side. No other Indian restaurant in Cincy does this. 4. Food - delicious, plentiful. More complex than the usual fare you'll find down in Clifton. SPICY, if you want it! We were pleased. 5. Bathrooms - clean. 6. Parking - easy. Don't be afraid of the neighborhood, as the lot is very convenient. 7. BYOB - how can you ever complain about saving on alcohol!? We will be back over and over.

I've been to eat in twice and had take out twice and every time, the food has been delicious! I've had the saag paneer and chicken tikka masala and can't say enough about how flavorful they were, not to mention the top notch naan. The buffet had a great variety. The owner is very nice and it is obvious he cares if you have a good experience.
(5)TacosAndVeggies S.
The first time we went for the lunch buffet and it was good. The second time we went for the lunch buffet and it was FANTASTIC. Two vegetarians had 6+ entree options on the buffet. The appetizers, rice, and naan were all good. The desserts were great. Spice level was not bland like most other places on the buffet, but not overwhelming either. Now our absolute favorite Indian restaurant in the city. Great value, great food.
(5)Courtney P.
Food was amazing! I had the ginger chicken and my guest had an eggplant dish, both were delicious and we couldn't stop talking about how tasty it was and how we couldn't wait to come back. Looks like a hole in the wall from the outside, but very clean inside, not overly crowded, and staff is very friendly and helpful! My party had a lot of questions about different foods and ingredients since we're not very familiar with Indian food, but the staff was patient with us and happy to answer! I will definitely be going back!

Summary: A great place to go after you've gotten tired of the "training" Indian restaurants - those places where everything tastes so similar you're sure there's a central commissary hidden someplace in town. Details: I had a delicious and pleasant dinner with my husband, child, and parents. Our server gave us a complimentary plate of papadum to munch on while we perused the menu. We ordered samosas and paneer pakora as our appetizers - tasty. I didn't try the paneer, but the samosa filling was far more interesting and tasted so much better than the tired, old unspiced potato and whole pea mixture you get at other places in town. In addition to the typical carousel of condiments, our server brought out mango chutney which was great and tasted like it was homemade. We ate a variety of main dishes including sag and lamb do piazza. Everything was cooked well and unlike some Indian restaurants in town that serve food that is so bland it could be offered in a nursing home, there were multiple, interesting flavors! We had fresh rice and good onion naan with our meal. My daughter had their sweet lassi. Can't go wrong there, either. The service was very attentive. We'll be back.
(4)Z D.
Lunch buffet is really good. Lots of vegetarian options and options in general. Decor and atmosphere needs a little work but the prices are spot on.
(4)Amanda M.
I love this place. I ordered from here about 2 months ago bc they are close and will deliver. With two kids it's really hard to go anywhere to pick something up. They were very nice on the phone, and the delivery was pretty quick. The food was amazing. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and a garlic nan. Heaven. Since then I have ordered a few more times, and have been very pleased. The best part is that the nan is still really hot by the time I get it. I am hoping to hit the lunch buffet one of the days!
(5)Devanshi N.
I have been here many times and everytime the food was delicious!!! Their customer service is great ! I love there garlic/onion naans, baigan bharta and saag mashroom. I wish that they start making chats too!
(5)Jeff R.
Yes, this is as good as it gets in Cincinnati. We looked into this place after tiring of the usual "Ambar-like" experience (Kanak, etc). This place is definitely a cut above. 1. Ambiance: the usual sort of strip mall casual. With the exception of the Bombay Brassier in Blue Ash/Madeira, that's what you get with these restaurants. They have neither the capital nor desire to go upscale. 2. Service: definitely superior. Most restaurants of this type have a pretty compromised service ethos: it ranges from actively hostile to indifferent to merely lackadaisical. These guys actually are FRIENDLY and REALLY want to know if they can do anything to enhance your experience in THEIR restaurant. Very refreshing and much appreciated. 3. The food. Outstanding. At first, the menu looks very typical: full of the "same-old, same-old." But the flavors are not typical, not boring and clearly the kitchen takes real care and pride in what they put on the table. The flavors were fresh and exciting, even when old stand-buys of Northern Indian fare were ordered. It was like discovering Indian food all over again. My wife and I kept looking at one another, sort of throwing looks that said "Can you believe this? This dish is really great!" We haven't sampled the menu extensively so I won't list our favorites but suffice it to say that the kitchen really knows what they are doing and, most importantly, really cares what they serve. 4. Pricing. Fair and on the moderate side. Certainly not expensive. There's no liquor license and we didn't ask if we could bring alcohol in. For a typical meal we ordered a nan, tandori chicken and one other entrée- and could only eat half of everything. The portions are generous to a fault. The chicken was very large (half a chicken is served), included the breast meat, and the thighs and legs were at least double in size to what is served in the other Indian restaurants. This place supplies themselves with premium raw materials. A large dish of rice as well, much larger than what is served normally. Even the rice was exceptional: moist, fragrant and obviously just made (which is what takes the meal a fairly long time -20-30 minutes- to be served). With sodas and no dessert, with a 30% tip, the bill came to about $31 with a $4 discount coupon. This will be our "go-to" Indian place and we are anxious to return. Well done, Delhi Palace! Glad to have you in Cincinnati!
(5)Ellie C.
I really enjoy stopping in here. Pleasant service and great buffet. They are opened a little later for lunch that makes it convenient for my work times. I am happy to have them nearby.
(4)Meg C.
Good stuff! The lunch buffet has a bit more spice than the average Indian buffet, which I appreciate, and the sauces are a bit more tomato-y. So glad to have this place in the neighborhood.
(4)Greg H.
Went in for an early dinner Saturday evening. Greeted by courteous staff and seated right away. Everything was delicious and the service was wonderful.
(5)Randy D.
Had lunch buffet yesterday with friends. This food was excellent, some of the best I have had in Cincinnati. Definitely go there.
(5)Yuan Z.
Nice service, awesome food. It's curry is a more hot than general, so when they ask you how hot you want, take one down from your general choice.
(5)Meg S.
This place was delish! More importantly perhaps the owners, the chef (part owner) and staff bent over backwards to make sure we were pleased with the food and the experience. Very impressed with the Delhi Palace and will be back.
(5)Kay D.
We came here for the first time and had the buffet. The food was fantastic! Great food, reasonable price and a clean environment! What more can you ask for! Will definitely be back again ;)
(5)M'Elise M.
My daughter and I went here for dinner and it was delicious! Priced better than other places and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back again.
(4)Jason A.
Very pleasantly surprised with our experience. Somewhat plain decor but don't let that fool you as food and service were both excellent. Complimentary papardam and rice with meals a nice touch, and quality of entrees as good (if not better than) any Indian restaurants in Cincy. Definitely recommended and great for takeout as well.
(5)Gayle C.
I must say I was incredibly surprised by this great find in Silverton. Great food, friendly servers that show they care you are enjoying your meal and have what you need. Very fair pricing. Plus is they deliver as well. Try it you won't be disappointed!
(5)Robert F.
The food is very good. The spiciness runs on the hot side compared to other regional Indian food.
(5)Sonny K.
Great food & Great service!!! Visiting from out of town and so glad we found this AUTHENTIC indian spot. Wish we had one where I lived. Will definitely be back when I'm in town.
(5)Amy R.
Holy crap, mind blown! This has to be the best Indian food I have ever eaten. I would much rather read reviews than write one, but Delhi Palace is worthy. The spice levels are more intense than other places, but not overdone. I shared a Chicken Tikka Masala and Saag Paneer. The Saag was not overly blended so there was still some nice texture. The Chicken Tikka Masala was bursting with flavor and was not the usual one note, so salty it hurts your teeth standard. We also shared some Kashmiri Naan that actually had some substance in the filling. Nicely done! Even the raita seemed tastier and thicker. This is my new "go to" place for Indian. Our server was pleasant and attentive. Even with the crowd that showed up, our glasses were refilled and plates removed promptly. The ambiance is adequate, but I did appreciate the low noise level. Oh, I should also note that you can BYOB.
(5)lisa w.
Lunch buffet is a good price and contains a great variety of vegetarian and meat entrees, soups, salads and desserts. The service is always good; nice and attentive.
(5)S J.
The food is seriously amazing, the ambiance, not so much. We haven't had a bad meal here. The chicken makhani is to die for! The chicken tikka comes with varied vegetables, including cauliflower, onions, carrots and more. Mushroom saag..... I could eat it over and over again. Vegetable pakoras are my favorite appetizer. The portions are good, the service is pretty good. I try to go every few weeks. Hands down the best Indian in Cincinnati.
(5)Ankit S.
Best Indian food i have had in the states so far! I may make trips to cincy just for them!
(5)Rich S.
My new favorite Indian buffet! Right up there with Shaan India in Hyde Park Plaza. The staff is very friendly. They deliver! Even the delivery person is very friendly! So glad to have an Indian restaurant near Pleasant Ridge.
(5)Rocky K.
On a Saturday afternoon Lunch Buffet, we are the only customers to be inside the restaurant. So imagine the quality of food we must have got. All dried up, never refilled stuff. Upon that the taste of Custard Fruit Salad is horrible and the biryani is yuck. After the lunch I felt a lot of stomach pain, may be because of the quality of food. The whole day was dull for me. So I decided I Will never go there again.
(2)Mary ellen F.
I stopped by Delhi Palace to check out the Lunch Buffet with some coworkers and it did not disappoint. There were a wide array of vegetarian options, and plenty for the meat eatin' crowd as well. It's also very reasonably priced ($7.99). Not much of an ambiance, but we were just there for the food! I'd defitely recommend the lunch buffet at Delhi Palace, and would be happy to revisit them in the future.
(4)Alexander F.
Compare to some Chinese buffets there are like 4 star. But they are trying very good. Place is quiet and clean. Food is tasty. Best thing I liked is fresh loaf bread )))
(5)Alicia B.
So far, so good. Only eaten here once, but it won't be the last time. Had the saag paneer, which was delicious. The customer service was excellent. The host was very attentive and offered me various accommodations. Just down the road from Kenwood mall, it was very quiet and empty when I went on a Tuesday evening.
(5)Karen D.
A friend has raved about new Indian Place in Silverton for a few months & we were finally able to align our schedules catch up and enjoy a wonderful dinner at Delhi Palace. From the time you walk in, the staff is very friendly and welcoming seating you, actually you can sit where ever you like. They do not have a liquor license, so you can BYOB, which my friend brought some local craft beer to enjoy with our meal. I think they have the largest selection of naan in town 17 choices, wow, but went with the usual, you can't go wrong with garlic naan with any Indian meal. Our order arrived within minutes of ordering, can't believe how fast the food was served. I love Saag mushroom, my favorite veggies and ordered with spice level 4, just right for me, I was really hungry & surprised myself and ate it all, it was just so good. I can't remember what my friend ordered, but she raved on how delicious it was. Thanks Delhi Palace for a wonderful evening, welcome to Cincinnati!
(5)Annie K.
I was so happy to see all of these positive reviews. I had to check it out for myself. I went there for dinner and had the Chicken Tikka Masala. I always want to branch out but I can never NOT order this! It was a generous portion and it was very good! I had it for lunch the next day and it was amazing. I am going back with my family next time so we can order a broader range of items. I am also going to make sure to go for the lunch buffet. I am so happy to have such an excellent Indian option so close to home!
(4)Becca B.
Amazing food! I love that they will deliver, and the price is affordable. It makes it way to easy to eat Indian food every Sat night!
(5)Linsey G.
Given how much I love and crave Delhi Palace, it has undoubtedly become my favorite Indian restaurant in the area. The shahi paneer is what dreams are made of, and everything else we have had on the menu has been great. We absolutely love this place and try to get there as much as we can to satisfy our Indian cravings (which happen often).
(5)Adam W.
Been there about 10 times and have yet to have a bad meal. My favorite is the chicken mahkani, wife loves the spinach and cheese dish they have. Also love the Naan bread.
(5)Vivian C.
This time we had takeout. Dropped by, placed the order, friendly service. Super fast. I could not believe it but the food was every bit as good and I swear the naan was even BETTER.We ordered a little spicier and man o man was it spicy, and delish. I can not express the love affair my taste buds have started to have for Indian food because of this restaurant. I half hesitate to say how good, because it is so easy to get this delicious treat for your mouth, I am afraid I will ruin it for myself. Literally, I ended uo with just a lil sauce and some rice two days later (leftovers are fantastic if you can restrain yourself) it was delicious. Kudos.
(5)Chris S.
Delicious. Delicious. Delicious. There are a few things that make this place great: 1) The people: The people here are amazing! Great staff; very nice, personal, funny, and helpful. 2) The food: Every single thing I have tried here has been amazing. Veggy and meat options alike. 3) BYOB: speaks for itself. Stop at BP in Pleasant Ride, grab a 6 pack of Madtree, and you're good to go. The tandoori chicken is probably one of my favorite dishes here! It's a must have. It's NOTHING like the buffets I have had in the past - much more flavor. It's hard to explain how good it is. My second favorite is the Chicken Curry. Delicious. Eater be warned though - their spice scale is NO joke. I feel like I can handle spicy foods pretty well, but I ordered a 4 here and could not handle it! Start low and move your way up. You can't go wrong, just point to something and try it. We usually just all order something and pass it around!
(5)William K.
I once tried to make Chicken Tikka Masala but it tasted more like a creamy Cincinnati style chili with chunks of chicken in it. Every other cuisine I've attempted I've been able to recreate with a recipe and my palate but for some reason Indian food eludes me. Maybe that's why I love Indian food SOOO much. it's complex and different from everything else. On one plate you'll find savory, sweet, spicy, sour, creamy, crunchy and chewy and somehow it all comes together into a harmonious whole. Well, it is when it's done right like it is here. I love a good buffet. I pick what and how much. I usually go through twice with the first pass being a tasting and the second where I jump in on one or two items. A buffet needs several things to be good. You NEED choices of starters, mains, sides and desserts. You need flavor but you have to make it palatable to all. Your dining room staff has to be careful not to let down their guard, buffets are much easier to serve but you have to keep glasses full and plates cleared. You know, the stuff they do so well here. The lunch buffet was terrific! Great Dal soup. The Chicken Makhani was amazing. Cabbage Masala was a delightful surprise. The Naan kept coming out fresh, hot, chewy, soft and delicious. And as so many others have pointed out, the service was incredibly friendly! I felt like a guest in the home of a dear friend not like a patron. Only thing I could say anything bad about was that the rice, like it does at most Indian buffets, came off as an obligation. I like the rice at an Indian restaurant to be something that can stand alone without any of those wonderful curries but this didn't. No flavor and I only saw one lonesome pea in the pan. I'm sure that's just for when they're running the buffet though. Can't wait to try some of the regular menu items delivered right to my front door! They deliver! Woot!!!

Great food, clean environment, very friendly staff. One of the best traditional Indian food restaurants in town.

Best lunch buffet ever! I'd only been here for dinner. Indian lunch buffet selections are often quite limited or lackluster. Not here, varied selection, everything I ate was delicious, even tried a few new things.

This is simply the best Indian food in Cincinnati. Generous portions, lots of spice (I order a 2 and it's perfectly spicy) byob, they deliver, awesome lunch buffet w rotating dishes. When ordering takeout they oven throw in a free dessert or salad :) So far I've tried: Malia kofta- veggie dumpling in tikka masala sauce, simply amazing. My fav dish Chicken Tikka Masala- perfection. How it should taste Ginger Chicken- awesome and milder. Chili Chicken- I thought it would be fried similar to Chinese food. It's not. It's chicken in spicy tomato sauce with green peppers. Wasn't bad but not my fav. Veggie Jalfrezi- was good and pretty spicy. Mixed veggies in tomato sauce. Veggie Korma- rich and creamy. A bit rich for me. Veggie Pakoras- I love these little fried dumplings The Vindaloos- on point. Meatball curry- very delicious. Ok you get the point. Just order something and it's going to be great!!

The best Indian food outside of Clifton! Been to every Indian restaurant in Cincinnati (.... little obsessed) and this has the best lunch buffet! Dinner prices are great too! Great service, incredible food. Don't get me wrong, Shaan and Baba india are great too but this place reminds me of Deep India in Clifton! SO DELICIOUS! Will be back again and again and again!

Oh. My. Gosh. I love this place. My husband and I live nearby, and we pray to the food gods every day that they do GREAT business, so that they stay for a very very very long time. 1. They deliver! 2. BYOB (we always end up taking an assorted selection from our fridge) 3. No problem parking 4. HUGE portions. Enough for dinner and lunch the next day 5. Food is SO good. I'm pretty plain and always end up ordering the tikka masala.. Definitely worth a visit!!

Really good food, generous portions, smiling, friendly attentive service and new tastes. I find each dish has unique flavors. Must be a good cook. Bring your own beer or wine.

If this place wasn't so far we would be coming here more often. The service is by the best we've had so far. The buffet options are ample and delicious.

Best Indian food lunch buffet around! Everything is so hot and fresh. They vary their dishes by the day. Such a reasonable price as well. The staff there is always friendly and welcoming. We haven't tried it for dinner yet, but pretty certain it is excellent as well. Plenty of parking and convenient location.

Just left what I can honestly say, the best Indian food we have ever had!!! The service was great and our server was great in recommending some different dishes. I never usually order an appetizer but we wanted to try the mixed platter. Oh wow!!! My tastebuds were in heaven. The amount of food for the price was outstanding!!!! The chutneys were so delicious I could have eaten them by themselves. My husband, who only eats Indian cuisine when I beg him to, said that he would definitely be back and it was probably the best Indian he had ever had!!! We are both hoping this becomes a staple in the area and is around for a long LONG time!!!! Can't wait to try other menu items!!!

Love this place. The sauces are rich and tasty, and the vegetables in all the dishes are crisp and taste very fresh. Would like to see more variety in the buffet, like maybe a lamb dish and samosas. However, the standards that are in the buffet are very good (curries, tikka masala, tandoori chicken). This is a regular favorite of mine.

I must preface my review with the fact that I am Brown, and know authentic Indian food (grew up with it and cook it myself). This place is authentic!! The chutneys were my first tasting...mint and cilantro, tamarind and some kind of spicy red Chutney were delicious with the pappadum that they give you complimentary here (only Indian restaurant I've ever seen do that). My next course was the shahi paneer with rice and a garlic naan. It was the best shahi paneer I've ever had at any restaurant anywhere (not just cincy). The naan was so so delicious and the rice fresh. I must also mention it was actually spicy...a four here is actually water sipping inducing spicy. My boyfriend got the chicken tikka masala which had a really great taste. The waiter even have is extra rice after we quickly devoured our initial large portion. The restaurant is large, clean, with a big parking lot. Wait staff were wonderful and friendly. Oh and did I mention they deliver up to a 2.5 -3 mile radius. I'm going back with all of my friends soon!! :-)

Food is great - the service leaves a lot to be desired. I've dined in a few times at Delhi Place and have enjoyed the food. However, this time I decided to get an order to go. Not only did they give me the wrong order but I had trouble getting it made right. I called and said that I had the wrong order - the phone was put down randomly without notice while they took are of other people. They agreed that what I received was not what I ordered but insisted that I should enjoy it anyways and hung up. I called back - insisted that I know what I ate, explained that I have food allergies and asked for a refund. They did process a refund but not for the total amount that they charged me - so I am now disputing it on my card. I never did get an answer about what I had tasted.

I don't usually write a Yelp review just to re-iterate what others have said, BUT I'll make a worthwhile exception for Delhi Palace. The buffet is a fantastic value at $7.99, and everything I tried was very good or absolutely amazing. The service was great and the place was clean. It's so nice to finally see a restaurant go into this location that has a really good shot at succeeding...and if they can continue to perform like this, I believe they will.

I love this place. The buffet is outstanding. The folks who work there are so nice. It's clean and bright. The food is delicious. We often get carry out for lunch. I just found out they deliver for a minimum of $20.00 within 3 miles. Now I have to get more friends to eat there.

The best Indian food in Cincinnati. I take my Indian food very seriously, and previously drove to Clifton for Ambar. (20mins approx) Not any more. Delhi Palace is it. Super bonus... They deliver. Love : hot and spicy naan, nav rattan korma, veggie kofta. Husband loves the chicken vindaloo and special appetizer. They always include a small complimentary sample of another dish in our carry out order, such as raita or a dessert of sorts. Nice touch. I usually get a level four spice; here I get a three.. Their spice levels are a tad more intense than anywhere else. Also of you love chutneys (mint, onion, etc..) I will admit their chutneys are just ok.

Ooh la la. I went based on the recommendation of a friend. I actually rather enjoy dining alone, and if you do as well, this place is conducive to it (at least on a Monday evening). To begin, the papadam and chutneys arrived and were excellent. I thought the tamarind sauce was particularly tasty, and the other two didn't disappoint. I had a hankering for some paneer, so I ordered the paneer pakora appetizer. It arrived with a fantastic golden, crispy outside, about 6 slices, so great for sharing. Next up, was a chai tea, which was fantastic. It arrived at the perfect temperature and was spiced to perfection. My main dish was chicken tikka, which arrived on a sizzling dish with peppers, onions, and tomatoes. The chicken was tender, but not too tender. The portion was massive, definitely a dish for sharing. The rice arrived a little late, but was accompanied with a delicious, mild sauce the waiter suggested, which added a nice flavor/consistency (since tandoor items aren't saucy). Note to self: order naan next time. I expected it to accompany my tandoor dish. Portions were great (I have a boxful of glorious leftovers), the restaurant was very clean, prices were excellent (under $20 pre-tip for everything I mentioned above), and I enjoyed every part of my meal. I'll be back-- next time, I will try something with some heat and give an update.
