The best Indian food I have ever had. Period. They have a very good chicken curry that I love. The mango lassie is very yummy. The garlic and onion nan are the best! Always a favorite!

Food is good... decent service and staff helps in finding the right dish size for you... Only good option in dayton, ohio. And I live right next door. Sunday buffets are good...

Normally I would give this place 4 or 5 stars. I usually go for the lunch buffet... The quality of the buffet the last time I went was pretty pathetic.... It was a very disappointing experience, the food was still tasty. Maybe there is someone new in the kitchen, but things weren't prepared like they usually were............

It was a Saturday afternoon and the wife and decided on Jeet India Restaurant since it offered an AYCE lunch buffet. We love Indian food, and while Indian buffets may not showcase a restaurant's best dishes, it usually hits the standards from which one can assess the quality, authenticity, and the potential for a future visit for dinner. Jeet India Restaurant, like many Indian places we've encountered, was located in a strip mall. It was spacious with a classier, more upscale appearance than most of its peers. The buffet at $8.95/person was in line with what we expected to pay for our meal. While the price was fair, the food selection and its execution, with one or two exceptions, was disappointing. To its credit, the buffet did contain both meat and vegetarian offerings. The meat offerings were unremarkable, at best, as all three dishes were chicken (tandoor, curry, and tikka masala). While they certainly weren't inedible, the meat was a little dry and the sauces lacked the bright flavors and spice notes that I've come to expect from Indian food. Perhaps, too long in the steam tray? Also, having a lamb or goat dish on the buffet would've been a game changer in my mind. The highlight of the vegetarian options (and perhaps the entire meal) was the dal makhani, which possessed good flavor. Less successful, however, was the saag. It was flavorful, but was missing a key component that would've elevated the dish...paneer. Even the mint chutney came out different from other Indian restaurants I've dined, as it was exceedingly spicy, which led me to suspect someone had been overly aggressive in incorporating jalapeno peppers into it. I'm not a big dessert fan, but I had the rice pudding, hoping our meal would end on a happy note. Instead the rice pudding was runny and lacked flavor beyond sugar and vanilla. It reminded me of cold cooked rice in a soup of melted vanilla ice cream. After a single taste, I'd had enough. In the end, Jeet failed to meet my standards for an Indian buffet. Maybe Jeet's buffet isn't its strong suit and it's much better serving its cuisine a la carte. Regardless, given the price and the type and quality of food received, Jeet was neither that enjoyable nor a great value. 2.5 stars...rounded down to 2.

We have had Indian food all over the world. The Jeet India restaurant in Beavercreek is absolutely first rate. We have not tried the buffet, as we've only ordered off the menu at night. Everything we've tried is absolutely perfect. We highly recommend the #16 Chicken dish with cauliflower and carrots and the #13 Vegetarian with potatoes and cauliflower. We also got the Fruity and Nutty Naan, which was excellent as well. The atmosphere is very nice. The owners spent a lot of effort on the interior furnishings and the staff is always impeccably dressed. It reminds me of high end Indian restaurants in London.

Great place and wonderful food. You'll have to let them know how spicy you like your food. This place is not very pricy for all you get.

The ambience was good. We were about 10 people and they easily accommodated all in one table and we were comfortable too. In that lunch buffet, I had vegetarian. Their soup was very good and other items were about an average. But my non-vegetarian friends were completely letdown with their half cooked chicken which irked them. Their food was too disappointing that they forcibly switched to veggies with no choice. The buffet was about $13, which I personally feel is too much priced even for a quality food and it's undoubtedtly not worth it. The food was not stored warm enough. Finally, to end with a positive note, I did some groceries as they have a separate section for it, so I didn't have to run into other Indian stores for most of the items.

The Jeet and Amar (Centerville) Indian restaurants have been helping rescue the Dayton area from boring chain joints for years. If you've never had Indian cuisine before Jeet is a perfect starting point. Go during the lunch buffet and try a few things for less than $10. The staff is super friendly and would be glad to answer any questions you may have.

Good buffet selection overall. Some issues with keeping the food as fresh and earn throughout the whole buffet time which is common but not ideal. Biggest problem I have here is that they are so slow/ late with drink refills, well Except for water of course :( The Naan is very good, when it's fresh. Good ambiance and the staff is friendly.

I was craving Indian food and Jeet was the closest restaurant I could go to. I got the non-vegetarian platter because it looked so good on the menu- starters, main courses, dessert- everything! I placed my order and the food arrived soon after. Overall, the taste of the food was alright- I've had better Indian food for much cheaper. Service was good. But I left feeling cheated for spending almost $20 for food that was just average in taste and average in quantity.

  • Krel C.

The food overall is ok. Nothing super special and for the price for serving its not a super value. If you are craving indian food it will suffice however. I do enjoy the mini supermarket in the store where you can buy traditional indian products, sometimes cheaper than grocery store prices. So I would go back just for the store, though not for the food

This place gets 5 stars from me. Amazing tender chicken curry, this red chicken stuff, lentil soup, chickpea stew, awesome naan for $9 lunch buffet. Although they have less than 20 items for lunch, every item is prepared very well and everything is absolutely excellent! Loved their mocha, too!

  • Michael H.

Dropped in for lunch buffet. I liked the food a lot, especially the chucked curry and lentil soup. But I couldn't get a drink refill to save my life. I motioned for the waiter, who acknowledged me. He then disappeared. Saved me the cost of a top any way. I'll be back, and hopefully get a different server.

Very nice place. I felt a little under dressed, but it was cool. They have a market inside so if you have trouble finding ingredients to cook with at home, check it out. I had the saag paneer and it was good. I wouldn't recommend getting the keer dessert.

  • Monica M.

I ordered take out for dinner. The mixed app was not good and way over priced. The mango lassi was good, but small. The lid wasn't put on right and the cup was wrapped in plastic so there was a mess. They also didn't include plastic ware or plates. The dinners were pretty good, but a little spicy for medium. The nan was good, but only included one slice per order. Food wise it would have been a 3, but it's frustrating to get takeout then have to find a way to eat it.

  • Mike S.

I've been to the Beavercreek location on multiple occasions for the lunch buffet. The food is consistent and above average for a buffet. Don't bother ordering a drink. You will not get a refill on anything but water. I'd also recommend not bringing your children. They charged my 2 year old for a children's buffet because we gave her some nan bread to chew on while we ate. Our bill ended up being just under $30 for two buffets, two drinks with no refills, and a piece of bread. Not worth the cost.

  • Rebecca M.

Yummy! We only order take out, but it is great. The spice is nice. Their medium is a little too hot for me, but my husband likes it. We generally get regular now which is still very flavorful. We always get garlic naan, chicken vindaloo & chicken mushroom. The meat is tender. Their garlic naan has plenty of fresh garlic in it. Their keema samosas are also good. The rice is ok, but it's rice. Fairly decent price. We have changed to this restaurant for our go to place after another local eatery dropped their spice scale.

    (4)
  • Shannon M.

Nope..this buffet is only for those who have no experience with good Indian dishes and are willing to fill their faces on subpar flavor. The naan is flat and bland. The curry tastes like their masala. I paid 33 dollars for 2 children and two adults, one really a 12 year old child who ate a plate of bread. I had one small plate of food that left me without any desire for seconds. The children ate the naan and the ice milk posing as ice cream. The rice pudding is milk sugar and rice. It would be easier to drink then to attempt using a spoon.

This place is average food restaurant, but better then Ajanta and others in the area. Food is bit expensive but acceptable as service and hospitality is okay, not like others (worse, e.g, Namaste india chat cafe,Miamisburg). Clean and neat place to take ur family for dine in. Worth trying once....

  • Rosmira A.

Food is good but staff was very rude. We went when the restaurant wasn't very busy and they seemed annoyed with our presence. Unsure if I will return. It could've just been a bad day.

  • Tracie F.

You can not go wrong with their lunch buffet!! Reasonably priced with an abundance of Indian goodness! Their chicken Tikka Masala is divine. There has honestly never been a dish I have been disappointed in. The restaurant is clean and well kept and staff is always very pleasant. Service is not over the top but then again it is a buffet. If you are going for their lunch buffet I recommend you going earlier in the afternoon. Food seems fresher and there is more of it. My confidence in a place is always increased when I see people of their own culture dining in their establishment. This happens here and for good reason. The food is yum-o. Give it a try. I am certain you won't be sorry!

One of our favorite restaurants in the area. Whenever we come home for the weekend or holidays we always make sure to stop at Jeet. Lunch buffet is our favorite but dinners are delicious and plentiful too. We've been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience.

  • Eleanor B.

Can't believe I've never written a review on this place! It is my favorite Indian restaurant in Dayton. Very authentic and delicious! The naan, curry, and chicken biryani are amazing! They have an amazing lunch buffet too! Be warned, if you like spicy, they can give you spicy! They give heat from 1-5, 1 being mild and 5 being YIKES! I ususally like my spice a medium and I made the mistake of asking for a 3 and realized that my "medium" and theirs are a bit different so I usually get a 2 for "medium" and 3 and up you're asking for it! Love this place and since they opened up their new restaurant they have room for large parties!

  • Melissa S.

the food is ok. service was slow. their credit card machine went down so they had us waiting around for 20 minutes with our thumbs up our asses. then just took down our credit card numbers and charged us twice the amount. so we call to get it straightened out and they were very rude about it. heed my warning and don't eat here.

I've been going to this restaurant for about 5 years now and honestly I've only had one bad meal in that time frame. It's standard North Indian food coming with the standard price tags, if it were any cheaper I would suspect that the quality of the products would diminish. The decor of the restaurant is nice, it's larger now that they have moved locations but they also have incorporated a small indian grocery section as well. Food: Chicken Tikka Masala- it's creamy, tender pieces of tandoori chicken and honestly one of the beats I've ever had. You can go wrong with this staple. Chicken Curry- this is wonderfully blended with it's spice combination with some amazingly tender piece of chicken. Baingan Bharta- Roasted eggplant, tomatoes and onion all spiced to perfection. Definitely hits the spot. Saag Paneer- Creamed Spinach and Cubes of fried Paneer(Cheese). It's soft and creamy and very well spiced. I've yet to have anything better anywhere else. Garlic Naan- I love garlic naan I think it can add a bit of spice to an already epic dinner or lunch. This naan is a bit heavy on the garlic an it may not be for everyone. But it comes out hot and buttered from the oven worth every bite. This place is a Gem in Dayton, they have their sister restaurant Amar in Miamisburg and that place is also very good. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good indian restaurant in this area. Although I do enjoy the buffet they tend to tone down the dishes so that anyone can eat, I recommend going for dinner service your first time there and try the dishes the way they were meant to be eaten.

Always have a great dinner there! Friendly staff. Very quiet atmosphere. Nice to have dome ethnic food in Dayton

The food was tasty, but I fear that I was cheated with the price and the portions. My husband and I ordered the same item, we were charged twice, but the portion size of the rice and naan (which we ordered double) seemed extremely small. I have been there once before, and ordered a single portion and received the same amount.

  • Jeff S.

The service here is wicked fast. After I ordered, I glanced down at my phone and when I had finished a hot tantalizing platter of lamb vindaloo was waiting in front me. It was almost as if they knew what I wanted before I arrived. The lamb was tender and the curry had the perfect balance of heat and flavor all for a standard price. You can't go wrong with a side of naan either. Its light and fluffy texture completed the meal

Wow, wow, wow! A new friend and I ate here last night and really enjoyed it. To start, we had the special aloo tikki (deep fried potato patties with chick peas and yogurt), paneer pakora (deep fried cheese), and dal (lentil) soup. We'd intended to have our aloo nan (potato bread) with the soup, not realizing it wouldn't come out until the entree. Everything was fabulous, though, and the waiter was really polite. Our entree was the lamb rogan josh, which was bathed in a tangy yogurt cream sauce and served with basmati rice. I also had Indian tea, similiar to chai tea. Very good! Of everything we had, I would most highly recommend the special aloo tikki and the lamb rogan josh, and certainly the Indian tea or the Dal soup on a cold night. The bill for two was $37 after tax (pre-tip).

I had a coupon for 6$ off second entree so I decided to give it a shot. It was absolutely delicious. I know I will definitely be going back. Highly recommend!!!!!

We ordered chicken tikka masala and the chicken korma and they were wayyy to rich and creamy. Some people may like that but it definately covers up the great flavors that were supposed to be in those dishes. Its seems overpriced for what you recieve, $4 bucks for 2 mini samosas, 13 bucks for one entree....no thank you. We'll be moving along past this restaurant

They have a lunch buffet 7 days a week for $9 per person. My review is based on one lunch experience. This buffet blows their nearest competition out of the water. They have just as many options as the dinner buffet at Ajanta, and all the entrees are comparable. However, the dishes here at Jeet average slightly more flavorful (in a very good way). You have to try their saag; it's the best I've had. The new location looks very nice inside. Most of the customers were dressed for work and they fit in to the atmosphere better than I did in my casual attire.

  • Todd G.

Not the best Indian food I've ever had, but definitely not the worst for a lunch buffet. Worth it if you're in the area, I wouldn't drive all the way here just for this place though, it's not THAT good.

  • Maggie R.

For the Dayton area, this is pretty good. For Indian food in general, this place hovers at a touch above mediocre. I've been to the new location and it's quite nice. I had dinner there and it was decent: flavorful, nicely spiced, and presented well. I went back for the Sunday lunch buffet and was completely disappointed. The food was very bland and there wasn't that great of a selection. I know how to cook Indian food and I like it spicier than most, but the chana masala tasted like plain tomato sauce and chickpeas. The nan was plentiful and hot but felt reheated and overly chewy. The saag was yummy but it was only saag -- no paneer, no chana, no chicken. Even the keer was not tasty but tasted like eating cold, solidified milk. If you want Indian food in the north Dayton area, then I suggest coming here for dinner, where you can order what you want and have it served at a spice level of your liking. They are a good place to go for vegetarian fare, which is important to me. They did not have a TV blaring anywhere, which is also quite important to me.

Ohhh, Jeet! I love me some Jeet! You've got to understand: I started eating curry while in Liverpool, UK, while studying abroad. Over there? Curry shops are as frequent as Subway is over here. There's one statistic that says 1 in every 4 take-out meals in the UK are chicken tikka masala, and I believe it! I grew accustomed to delicious Indian food over there and for years I went without....until Jeet. And truly? Jeet India (and its sister restaurant, Amar) provide some the most consistent, highest quality Indian food I've had. While my wife and I lived in Fairborn, we became regulars at their lunch buffet on the weekends--$18 for all you can eat Indian food?! Count me in! And oh....so delicious! The texture of their sauces is spot-on, with variable levels of heat on dishes, prepared to your taste. Lamb Korma is delectably tender, with sweet raisins and flavorful nuts throughout the sauce. Chicken Tikka is aromatic and tender, cooked in a tandoor oven. But the bread?! My goodness, the bread...get yourself an order of Aloo Naan to sop up your curry sauce and thank me when you're done, rolling away in a curry induced coma. Speaking of, don't you dare let the server take away your platter before you've used that Naan to mop it clean! That's the best part! Jeet just moved into a new location, right across from Fairfield Commons, and their new space is gorgeous. The decor is simple but modern, and is attractive to the eye. Plus, their buffet is even bigger! If you haven't visited either of these Dayton institutions, you're short-changing yourself. If you've never had Indian food before, go for the lunch buffet and sample everything. If you're there for dinner, try the "Non-Vegetarian Special", which serves up several Indian classics on a silver platter. You won't be disappointed! Allons-y!

I have only eaten here one time but I will probably never return. The service and atmosphere were good, but both I and my boyfriend found the food very lacking. There didn't seem to be much flavor or heat to the dishes we ordered. I had the malai kofta (my favorite dish) and it was a bit of a challenge to finish it. I'm not sure what vegetables they use but they were dry and tasted off. The combination of lackluster food, and it being one of the higher priced Indian restaurants in the area, we won't be going back.

    (2)
  • Martin L.

Fantastic food, and I really like the atmosphere, people at different times of the evening. I would like to go eat at their lunch buffet, but Wooster is a little too far for that.

    (5)
  • Jonathan M.

I've had the opportunity to eat lunch buffet once at their old location. That experience will be the basis for this review. On the plus side, there was a fairly large variety of food available, but it was mostly bland. Most of the lunch buffet style Indian food I've had at any number of restaurants tend to taste like watered down versions of their often tastier higher quality "dinner versions". Perhaps the food is converted into a non-spicy format for those who can't handle the heat, and worse yet, the food is watered down so that the same amount of ingredients can be stretched to serve a large number of people. Unfortunately Jeet is no exception to this phenomenon. The lunch buffet was just plain bland. I'm giving Jeet 3 stars, not because the lunch buffet was average, but because bland seems to be the standard that most Indian buffets have set. Jeet definitely nailed that standard.

The best Indian buffet. Lots of vegetarian dishes, great naan, and chicken dishes and the price is low.

  • Mark C.

Nice new place, open and airy. And by airy I mean it's cold in here. Food is good, well prepared and very tasty. Nice large selection at the buffet and reasonable prices.

    (4)
  • Brenda L.

Their chicken korma is the best I've ever had. I wish they would bottle that sauce and sell it in their little store section.

    (5)
  • Daniel B.

The lamb roganjosh is the best you'll ever have. The lunch buffet is fresh and extensive.

    (4)
  • S M.

Tried the lunch buffet, a little overpriced at $9 for the selection you get. Maybe get a choice of 4-5 entrees at the lunch buffet plus some small sides. Realized I'm not a big fan of Indian food, not their fault just my realization. The food was fine just not my taste I guess. The new location has a much better atmosphere than the last one, it is nice. Overall not bad if you like Indian food.

  • Joseph D.

Ate the buffet yesterday at 2pm and while the food tasted ok, it was BARELY warm. This was very disappointing and frankly bewildering. Even the desert rice pudding was barely cold. I don't know if the reason was we got there in the last 30 mins of the buffet, but it made the $8.50 including tax price tag not worth it. This lack of attention to detail is enough for me to not go there again for a very long time, which is sad because I love a good Indian lunch buffet.
