After a day at the Airforce museum, tummy gurgling I headed to the Greene.. with a huge variety of places to eat... I ended up wanting some Italian.. I started off my meal with a Chardonnay they suggested that would pair beautifully with my roast chicken dish. But we'll get to that. The bread basket of rosemary crisps and rosemary bread were warm and smelled amazing!!!... I couldn't stop eating. MMM CARBS!!! How do ppl live without it?! Appetizers Fried Calamari - Fried lightly and crispy. There was tartare sauce which made some of it soggy - sauce on side please - but I loved how there was fried pepperocini with it! YUMMM!!! Also ordered the Beef Carpaccio which was SOOO huge it came out on a plate the size of two of my heads. Field Greens, Capers, Mustard Aioli and Parm Regg and cheesy flatbread crackers. HOLY MOLY DELICIOUS! I got a chopped salad on the side. I'm a veggie salad whore, what can I say. Nothing like a little feta anyways Daddy ordered the Tuscan GrilledPork Chops which he DEVOURED and loved. Mommy gnawed the bones clean [they're a good team like that] Mommy got the Chicken under the Brick. It was in a yummy marsala sauce and came with mashed potatos and mushrooms. She loved it!!! And I got a WHOLE roasted chicken which came with a knife stabbed thru the middle of it. HAHAHA. HUUUUGE plate. Mash & Veggies. IT WAS SO GOOD. I ended up eating like 3/4 of it and took the rest home just to finish it later that night watching movies. TEE HEE Dessert was a mini Raspberry Panna Cotta and a Caramel Creme Brulee. BOTH SO GOOD. And from the Dolchino collection. The Creme Brulee had goopy Caramel on top instead of a hard crust but it was delicious nonetheless :] Pics and more details on my blog [link on my profile!] I need to come back here for Brunch next time I'm back :]

If you'd like a little dinner and conversation with friends, pick a different restaurant. Brio is the loudest restaurant I've visited, and I used to eat pretty regularly at Kuma's Corner in Chicago. My date and I had the tilapia topped with crab cake and a side of sweet potatoes and mixed vegetables. The fish was boneless and perfectly grilled. The veggies were fantastic. Our appetizer was a meager serving of spinach artichoke dip served with some incredibly stale and unappetizing flatbread. But the biggest disappointment was the service and the ambiance. Our server made awkward conversation, asked odd questions and generally hovered around our table -- more stalker than waitress. Everything in the place, from the mock murals to the carpeting, looked cheap and artificial. If I'm spending real money and want to impress, I should know better than to eat at a mall.

Brio is definitely not the est Italian restaurant out there. That said, for the price, brio is a great option for someone looking for good food without breaking the wallet. I ordered a Caesar salad as a starter and had no problems there. For my main course I got the sausage pasta. Really good although for something called a "sausage" pasta there's really not much sausage in it. They messed up my moms order although it should be noted that this is the first time that's happened it the 5+ times we've been here. They also came back with the correct order within 5 minutes of sending the previous one back.

Love Bravo! Hate Brio! I have been here twice. The service was horrible 1x and the food was unremarkable twice. I won't ever go again.

We went there for Father's day during their brunch time. The weather was nice so we sat in the patio area. Service staff was attentive. All of a sudden, the clouds moved in and it started to sprinkle. One of the staff helped move the umbrella over to cover us, but then the weather took a turn for the worse and next thing you know, it started to rain. I have to say that I was so impress with the sense of urgency from the wait staff. Right away, we were instructed to just head inside and they will bring our drinks, food, etc. over to us. As soon as we head into the restaurant, our waiter, seated us at a table. There was no lapse in waiting time. Talk about teamwork! It's nice to see how everyone working there just jumped right in and helped the patrons that were in the patio area transition into the inside of the restaurant. We had ordered lobster bisque (very delicious and it's their daily soup). My son actually loved it and finished both my husband's and mine. My husband ordered risotto and insalata and I ordered grilled shrimp orzo. My toddler order the kids portion of spaghettini with chicken. When they brought out his meal, it looked like an adult portion. For the price, he got 2 meals out of it. For dessert, we shared a creme brûlée. Verdict: Our dishes were very good, however, we are also people who tend to eat with less sodium in our daily cooking so after a few bites, we can taste the sodium, but we understand that eating out in general will be this way. This is in no way, criticizing Brio for their cooking. This is more our preference. Our creme brûlée flavor was yummy, however we like our custard to be a bit on the firmer side. If you like custards more like what you get in creme puffs or eclairs, then you will enjoy their creme brûlée. Overall: For the price and food, it was very good. We were more impress with the teamwork of the staff when mother nature decided to grace us with her downpour.

Very dissapointed. This was our second trip to Brio. Our first trip to Brio was on a Saturday night. The place was crowded, the service was good. The Food was excellent. I had the Campanelle Carbonara and it was to die for. My wife had a bite and was ready to send her order back and get this. We also had the Calamari Fritto Misto which was fantastic. On this, our second trip, the quality of the food was not the same. The Carbonara was bland. The Calamari was not as good. We were really dissapointed. Especially since we had been bragging to our friends how please we were with our last visit. We informed the cook that the quality wasn't there this visit and he apologized. Bottom Line: Its hit and miss. There doesn't appear to be a sense of continuity with the quality control of the food.

I've been to Brio a several times both for lunch and dinner and have been happy with my choice every time. It's decent (but not authentic) Italian food, with a nice atmosphere, and excellent service. If you are expecting fine dining Italian you will be disappointed, but if you want a fun night out with friends and cheap wine, this is the place to go. I like their lunch pasta dishes and the soup and salad combos.

We have been to Brio several times and never had a bad meal but today was exceptional because our server, Pam, was delightful. The restaurant was not that busy and we time to chat. I think we enjoyed the conversation as much as the food. When we go it is usually on Saturday and I always end up with a Brunch item since I love breakfast. I had the chef's omelet which was great. It was served with potatoes and fresh fruit. My husband had a spicy pasta dish with shrimp and salad and was happy with his selection. I of course had a Cosmo and it was fairly potent.

Had a great dinner tonight. Salmon was cooked to perfection. Due to the busy night with Mother's Day this weekend, the manager Keith comped our wine. He didn't have to do this on our part, but it was much appreciated!! We'll be back!!

The general manager (I can't recall his name) called me the following day and apologized, and said he was sending me something so I could come back as his guest. That was two and a half weeks ago and I haven't gotten anything. I think that only makes the experience worse. (Later in the day...) I thought about this and decided to call the restaurant to ask the name of the general manager so I could ask for him if I decided to visit again (I had a free birthday reward) and the response was, "Why? Who are you?" I told the person that I was Nicola. She gave me the name, Doug Thrush.... she then told me that he never comes in until 5pm (my call was placed at noon). Then she said, well, let me check, he might come in earlier. Then she said, "I see him." She placed me on hold and then put Doug on the phone who insisted that he had send my "something" and also told me that he never comes in as late as 5pm. He offered to bring gift cards to my home. I told him that was not acceptable and was invasive. This place is a complete joke. There is clearly no leadership, no training, no common courtesy. Ridiculous.

Great steaks, salmon, salads as well as pasta. Great for large parties, offers sunday brunch and I love the lively hood for an "upscale" restaurant.

Okay food. Ready good wedge salad. I ordered the carbonara- which was good, but not worth 20$. Overall, we spent $50 and I left hungry- yet I ate ago my food. Bravo is better.

The food is here is good. I went here for dinner during my senior prom 3 years ago. We ordered the dinner special that comes with soda. They had this crisp thin bread that you dipped in oil with herbs.

The food is great. Everything I've tried had been good. Their bartenders know what they are doing and the happy hour drinks are awesome, too. The problem is that they are clueless about how to move people. If they tell you any amount of wait, double it and add 15 minutes. Tonight we called at 4 and made reservations. Arrived right on time and we're given a pager because "our" table isn't ready yet. But the twosome ahead of us was given a both large enough for our party. Why in the world would you offer reservations if you don't actually honor them?

This place is actually really nice, the food was actually on par. I ordered the Mazza Chicken Limone, This is the first time that the lemon flavor really came through, a lot of places I've been too, the chicken always turns out dry. I would have given this place a higher rating if their service was a little better. The hostess was very nice, but for them not to have a wait time for outdoor seating, well that just makes you look stupid. "We don't know when people will actually get up" is not a good response for your customers. Secondly, the waitress should be a little more chipper, considering the cost of some of the plates there. So when I ask for the Mazza Chicken lunch plate, I don't get a snarky remark of "which Mazza chicken, we have a bunch".... Well considering, that the Mazza chicken Limone lunch plate is the only one I see available on your menu that you supplied me, I would think I was talking about that one. So again, apart from the snoot waitress, the food is really good. Little note, the servers, and runners were very friendly.

Nice atmosphere and occasionally have live music. The bruschetta appetizer was good but the Chicken Pomodoro was lacking flavor and the chicken was way over cooked and sliced with the grain, which only compounded the problem. Have had better experiences here before as their lasagna bolognese is pretty good. Decently priced otherwise.

This Brio is in my hometown, so it's not my first visit and not my last! This particular visit was great because we were celebrating my husband's birthday. 3 out of the 4 of us had the Mahi special, which was excellent! Meals are always complimented with bread and homemade crackers - yummy! You have to order a salad or soup separately - we ordered the chop salad. It was good, but a little too heavy on the dressing for me and too many black olives. Free dessert for birthdays! Woo hoo! You have your selection of the truffle glass desserts - the tiramisu was wonderful. It is a pricier restaurant, but the price matches the quality of the food.

The service here was decent. However... I ordered bow tie noodles with grilled chicken, onions and pesto sauce. My date ordered penne noodles with pink sauce and pancetta. A few minutes later, our server mentions that they are out of penne noodles, but they have wheat penne noodles. My date didn't want wheat penne noodles so she ordered bow tie noodles. Ten minutes go by, and the server returns saying they're out of bow tie noodles. My date says she will take rigatoni noodles and I then wanted to try the wheat penne. Then, fifteen more minutes go by and the server comes back to say they don't have wheat penne noodles. I agree to rigatoni. Fifteen minutes later, our food comes out... Without our pancetta or grilled chicken! Then we asked the manager to fix our meals for us, because not only were we required to wait over an hour for noodles mixed with predmade sauces, but our food didn't come as ordered. Finally, our food was fixed and our meal was given to us on the house. It took us almost two hours to eat boiled noodles with simple sauces, an easy vegetable, and a meat. The place wasn't even busy.

I am kind of on the fence about this place. I have had some pretty good experiences here and some very mediocre ones. The food is pretty consistent and I do like that they have some lighter choices. Their quinoa salad is amazing. This is the first Italian restaurant that I have ever had put cilantro in a dish. Weird. If you are a cilantro hater like I am make sure you ask the waiter about this. The wait staff seem to be simply ok. Service can take forever when they are busy and no one there is particularly over-the-top friendly. Overall, if you are at the Green and looking for a casual happy hour place...give it a try. Looking for an out of this world culinary experience? Skip it!

Brio General manager contacted me and apologized for my experience and for how it was handled. He seemed sincere and stated he was sending me a gift card for $50. Based on his reaching out on this matter I'm willing to give Brio another chance. Only wish the management on site the night we dined there would have acted more appropriately to the situation.

I enjoyed the Insalata Mista salad, Romaine, radicchio and Kale, pancetta, grape tomatoes, chopped egg, croutons, Caesar dressing, Pecorino Romano cheese. Then it came to the entrees, they have an extensive menu. I went with the Gorgonzola Crusted Beef Medallions, which was three tournedos with gorgonzola crust and mushroom Marsala sauce. Served with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables, it was nothing special. My Mom had the lasagna, I took a bite of it & it was terrible, I've had better at Troni's and Mama DiSalvo's. My Dad had the Pork Porterhouse Bone-in and marinated, seasonal vegetables, arugula, mashed potatoes and said it was the worst pork chop he's had in his life, but was too proud to tell the server it wasn't good and ask for something else. Brio is okay. I really had high hopes for Brio on a recent family dinner visit. The restaurant was packed and part of the Bravo Brio regional restaurant group. I'm a fan of Bravo, so this was my first visit to a Brio, but due to the crowd our server was rushed, only came back to check on us when she could.

I've had a lot of good times at Brio, mostly at the location in Kansas City at the Country Club Plaza. We used to frequent there quite regularly when I worked at KCTV. Now I'm in Dayton and live at The Greene and there's a Brio here too. Even though it's a chain I decided this weekend to eat a few meals there to see if it stacked up. First order were the lamb chops. The restaurant closed at 10pm and I placed the order at 9:30. When I arrived everything was there and the lamb was cooked perfectly to medium rare. The server saw my note about a bread basket and realized it wasn't in the bag and quickly went to get it. He got a tip. The next order was to-go and had the calamari fritto, lasagna and tiramisu. I arrived and again my order was waiting for me. The calamari was not soggy but it was very very blond and not at all crispy. The pomodoro was not spicy at all contrary to the description. The lasagna was good and the tiramisu hit the spot. It was a little small for Dayton portions at $6 but I didn't need any more. With this order I asked for 2 servings of the bread basket because we were splitting everything. I received the same amount as when I ordered for myself. Not sure it that's because I love my carbs, it's free, or they didn't care. Bottom line: It's fine. It's a chain. It's never bad but it's hit or miss on being good on any given day.

Hands down best Italian food I've had in a long time. Friendly service, great selection of wine, and awesome food. A bit pricey but worth it. Did not seem like a chain with the large selection. Worth the extra money verses carrabas or olive garden.

Brio - we have a love/hate relationship going. First - the love. Wednesday nights at the bar - speciality martinis for $5. Last week I had the Lemon/Basil and it was so good. Only the best fresh ingredients were being used. Same last night with Razzberritini. Fresh raspberries and mint throughout. $2.95 appetizers...the same ones you sell in the dining room for $9+. Even though it takes forever to get them...so good. Bartenders are top notch and so professional. This is a perfect hump day pick up. Recently I hosted a dinner for 30. I called ahead about getting a special room, and was told it would be $1000 minimum. WTH...in these times wouldn't you encourage a group of 30. Then I was given a menu with set prices and told to select 4 entrees. OK. When some of us went to try some of things on the menu, we saw a sign that said "3 Courses $19.99" That's $10 less that the price I was quoted and that was without dessert! When I called I asked if they would honor that, she checked with the Chef and said OK. We got 5 entree selections and free dessert. But they weren't forthcoming with that info. Bad, bad PR. The night of the event I got there an hour early to be sure they were setting up for us. It took forever...group attendees started showing up and clogging the area around the bar (yes, we did play right into your hands by going to the bar). There was a method to your madness. Finally, we were seated and with only 2 servers (and they were working other tables as well) it took FOREVER. By the end of the evening all we wanted was out of there. NOW. And bread service was really skimpy (a pet peeve of mine). The food was wonderful as always. With a group I just wasn't feeling the love. And we brought lots of money which is good for you. You should have loved us more.

Brio is really nice for a chain restaurant, which I tend not to be a fan of. I love their salads, bruschetta, flatbread, and I just have them make me a to-order pasta dish with lots of veggies that is really good. My hubby likes the pork chops the best of everything he has had. Their deserts are pretty good and their drink menu is really good. Plus the have awesome awesome outdoor dining space which is a must in good weather. It is on the pricier side, given its a chain, but they have reliably good food and service so it's not outlandish. It is my go to Greene restaurant.

Let me just preface this by saying That this is the first time I have ever written a negative review of s restaurant. We were very disappointed with our first and probably last visit to Brio. They didn't have the chicken dish I ordered, bread was not delivered until we were eating meal and the second glass of wine arrived as we were leaving( and I had canceled it). No explanation for the poor service, just a bland "sorry ". The restaurant was not particularly busy, so my thought is that they don't really care to please the customer. Food was OK,nothing spectacular.

With a beautiful day, it was perfect for lunch outside on the patio. We were seated promptly and our drink order taken within a minute. The waiter was excellent and service was prompt and accurate even though he was assisting at a corporate lunch of almost 200 people. Of course the gorgeous weather could cover almost any fault but there were none. The meal was very good and cooked to order and the desert of the hot chocolate cake with ice cream was superb. Another fine visit to one of our favorites stops for lunch or dinner. I just got an email highlighting their Gluten Free menu so now our daughter who has Celiac Disease can join us and have several options beside a salad.

I had never even heard of Brio until I came to town and my family recommended we try it out. We arrived, unfortunately, still during brunch which means that what I had spent 30 minutes trying to find online prior to arrival was now moot. In any event, I had the pepperoni and sausage flatbread and it was, like a thin crust pizza, really good. My wife and daughter had a lasagna and my son had a pizza (i know, how original). Had we gone during dinner, or been offered a dinner menu, I'm sure I could have given a much better review. The food was good, the service about average, and everyone was friendly. I would probably come back if I was in the area, or at a time other than brunch.

The first and last time I visited this location we were seated outside....and we sat....and sat....30 minutes later as we were standing up they were ever do gracious to offer water. This entire experience was made even better by having almost every member of the staff standing inside (in the air conditioning) and looking out the window at us...apparently we were now a zoo exhibit. At least zoo animals are fed. 1 star is VERY generous of me...

Always love going to Brio. The service can vary a lot from server to server. Thankfully, it has been a while since we have had a bad server there. Tonight, our server was on top of things, even when my wife wanted something that was not on the menu any more. He talked to the chef, and they took care of it. I have never been disappointed by the food. Tonight, we had calamari which was tender and not "fishy"... Although it needed a little more salt...otherwise it was nice. Overall a nice experience as usual at Brio tonight...

Just a quick update on the chain Brio. We went to dinner with another couple on a busy Saturday night. The service was a bit slow (refills, bread, clearing of dishes, bar service), but the food was quite good as always. Again, you cannot go wrong with the Gorgonzola Filet as my friend ordered it with confidence. My wife had the Chicken Under a Brick which she described as "amazing". She is a bit of a connoisseur of all things chicken, so I'm guessing that the chicken was actually amazing. I had the Salmon Salad (watching my waistline a bit) and fortunate for me, it was not as boring as it sounded. The greens were fresh and the salmon was not overcooked. Let's face it, no one REALLY wants to order the salmon salad anywhere they go, so when it actually tastes good, well, that is a win!

  • Kali H.

My biggest complaint is the inconsistency of their food. I tend to order the same thing every time as a starter and it tends to not look or taste the same. And most recently my friend and I ordered the exact same thing and what came to our table were 2 different entrees. I called the manager over and told him our problem and he was very nice about it and brought out a new plate. I think it's a bit overpriced for what you get. $15 for bruschetta seemed a bit much to me and it was very soggy (not fresh).

I went here with my parents when they were here looking for a rehearsal dinner venue. we ultimately decided that the restaurant was way too pricey and went elsewhere. Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. This gem would be far more popular if they lowered their price by just a few dollars per dish. Without a 5 star rating by zagat or Michelin guide the prices are not warranted. The food is not there yet while it is incredibly tasty and I have not had a bad dish yet the presentation is lacking. Until they lower their prices or get a verified 5 star rating I refuse to give them a 5 star rating of my own

  • Andi B.

This was my friends' pick for a girls night dinner. Personally, I think $14 for a mostly pasta dish with a few pieces of chicken, sans salad and small basket of bread for the table to share is absurd, but apparently people like it. Even though it wasn't crowded on an early Sunday evening, we had to wait for our table and then the service was slow throughout the night. You could blame it on there being seven at our table, but I noticed the table of two across of us was equally as slow served. If there's a menu item that's remarkable, it wasn't ordered by the seven of us. The decor is nice, but it is loud even though it wasn't crowded. I'll probably get suckered into going again, if my friends choose it, but I would never pick this place. Oh and driving into The Greene was maddening, so if you don't like holiday crowds - AVOID!

Came here with my fiancé four my birthday dinner. I had been to brio a couple times before and always have high expectations. Luckily my expectations have been met yet again. The Pasta Fa Diavolo was DELICIOUS and the steak bruschetta was really good as well. Aside from our waitress forgetting to bring me a soda and needing to be reminded, it was an enjoyable night. The atmosphere was pleasing and there was even a live band playing mellow tunes. Will definitely come back to brio :)

I went to Brio for a nice night out with my boyfriend. It was crowded and it seems as though they pack every inch of the place with as many seats possible so there's not a lot of room for personal space. Our sever was very nice and accommodating. I ordered the pasta with vodka sauce and pancetta, there was an option to add chicken for an extra $4 but i passed on the upgrade since the pasta was already $17. When the dish came out it was very tasty but the potion was super small for the price.

Free upgrade to Lobster Diavolo = awesome. 'Twas quite tasty. Cellar No 8 Cabernet Sauvignon was a nice pairings with the lobster diavolo, for a good price. Try this place, especially in the fall when you can eat outside and not sweat.

For a chain restaraunt, it is nice. It reminds me of a nicer version of an Olive Garden, but still wallet friendly. I've only been there 2 times (both with big groups) and always had a good meal. Nothing spectacular, but it was good. We had really great service the other day (during a busy happy hour), I wish I could remember the servers name. But that is what made it more of 4 stars than 3. A nice place to hang out for Happy Hour.

I believe this is affiliated with Bravos ... but just more "upscale" and more expensive. The atmosphere also more upscale. They the bread bowl has these ... crackers ... ask for extra ... they are the bomb.

  • Forrest G.

Simply wonderful. To say it's a fancier Olive Garden is a disservice. I had my first dinner experience at Brio's last night and it met and exceeded my expectations. I had the Shrimp and Lobster Fettuccine with Caesar salad. It was delightful. I can't complain about the price because the food was really that good and the atmosphere was great despite the slight hit to the wallet. The only negative was our table location which was near the register in the corner on the left side. It was slightly annoying having waiters constantly shuffling around our table using the register, but we got excellent service anytime we needed it haha. I used Yelp to make the reservation on a Friday night and I'm glad I did. I would recommend this restaurant.

Visited Brio for an inservice; I was pleasantly surprised! The room was small but comfortable and the waitstaff was very efficient. The steak was perfect and appetizers were great. Loved the calamari basket- pepperoncini and olives were a nice surprise!

I'm diggin' the lobster bisque. It has shrimp in it just to make it better. The spinach artichoke dip is great. When you sit down you get a ballin' bread basket. Good normal bread, good flat bread that tastes like Goldfish crackers on crack.

Our second visit, this time with the wife's aunt and uncle. Service was good and the food better than the last time from what I remember and what was mentioned in my last review. The seafood to pasta ratio was better, and the ingredients just seemed to be of a higher quality - fresh lemon, garlic, etc. - still overpriced which you should expect at this location, but pretty solid for pasta with family.

I love Brio... I found Brio when my co-workers were looking for a place to celebrate a birthday... Now my husband and I love going to Brio on date night... We have never had a bad meal and the service is always GREAT!!!

Very disappointing, much worse than the Brio in Columbus, which I like a lot. My risotto was undercooked and the scallops in it were sandy. Service was terrible, but it was a busy night so I will cut her some slack on that. However, I had coffee with dessert and it was already only lukewarm when I got it, and then by the time i got my dessert the coffee had gone cold. I had been there once before for lunch, which was much better, but my dinner was extremely disappointing.

Drinks and desserts with the girls, very nice in their back lounge that felt like a plush living room. Mini creme brulees are wonderful and a great deal at $2 each. The service stunk. The waitress was completely indifferent to us and was downright snobby and didn't come to check on us very often. When they were shutting the place down they turned the lights up instead of politely letting us know they would be closing (we were the only ones left in the entire place, come on!) I'll come back for dinner and hope for better service.

OK...I agree with all the reviews that this place is sort of faux-atmosphere (think a step above Macaroni Grill). That said, I think this is the best Italian I've had in Dayton (see all my Italian restaurant reviews from Dayton). The service is bad, yes. I agree. Our server was very nice, but the place was pretty empty (Sunday afternoon) and he forgot our apps altogether and rarely came to our table. It was a long wait for our food, but it was totally worth it. My penne with spicy tomato cream sauce was really good, rich, and flavorful, and my boyfriend's sausage spaghetti was AMAZING. SO GOOD. The best Italian dish I've had here. I was extremely jealous of his pick. In the end, we got the apps (bruschetta Quattro sampler, very good...much better than whatever Giovannis served), plus an extra order to take home, and both were comped. Service--extremely slow but very nice. Food--delicious. We'll be going back.

Inconsistent. Some dishes were delicious like the shrimp and artichoke pasta. The appetizer, beef carpaccio, was frozen. The pieces of sausage in the sausage pepeeonata pomodora was burnt. Delicious dish would have tasted even better without the burnt taste. The manager was very accommodating "upgraded dessert and 1 free coffee". With all the great choices in town pick another restaurant that is more consistent with food quality.

This Brio at The Green, like all the others, is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner and is "casual white-tablecloth" or "fine casual". It is a great place for business people, young professionals, families and empty nesters. It overlooks The Greene's green and bandstand where live music is often played providing extra atmospherics. Brio has great food, service and a realistic Italian atmosphere. I especially enjoyed a lunch at the large and well-stocked bar washed down with a glass of red wine in good company.

Brio is a American style Italian chain concept. Meaning they serve basic Italian cuisine. Very consistent from location to location. I have been to the locations in Ohio and North Carolina and was pleased with each visit. The food is not off the charts but you cannot go wrong with this Columbus, Oh. based chain concept. Nice environment, cozy bar, average to above average service and just a fun place to go. Some locations offer outdoor seating and live music. Price/value is good.

This place wasn't bad. On the menu their wasn't much to chose from, which made choosing something to eat very difficult. Food was good, but not anything to die for. Bravo and Brio are owned by the same people, but Bravo is a much better restaurant than this one is.

I wanted to like this place. I went on a Thursday night, around 7pm. There was no wait which was nice. Our server was nice enough. This place gets three stars instead of four because my pasta noodles were stuck together. I'm not a pro at cooking, but in my experience that happens when you dont stir the noodles at all or it's overcooked. Idk the clumps of stuck together fettucini noodles made my meal difficult to eat. I also wasn't really impressed by the menu in general. I think it would have been better with more options. To their credit, we got our food pretty quickly.

I do like the location of Brio. Right in the center of The Green it has some nice views and during Christmas you're right near the giant Christmas tree. As for the place itself, it's ok. Our server was a little too quirky for me and it seems very chaotic inside. The food is decent Italian that isn't bad but isn't great.

Went to Brio with some friends on a whim and was quite happy with the result. We weren't dressed very nice or anything (going against the grain a little) but the staff still treated us with complete respect and kindness. The food was amazing but in the upper range of price (for a college student anyway). The dining environment inside and out is great. There was no wait on a Thursday evening and the food didn't take too long. Overall, a solid pick especially considering the great environment of the whole Greene area.

$2.99 appetizers in the bar area on weekdays from 3-7pm. Nearly all of them were delicious, but the one I didn't care too much for was the Shrimptini (the shrimp was overcooked). The decor of the restaurant is beautiful, Tuscan-ish, and homey. There's also an outdoor area (part of it counts as the bar area) that's great to have those appetizers and some drinks with a group of friends on a nice day out. I thoroughly enjoyed myself at Brio, and I'll definitely be back.

BRIO is NOT the PLACE for a LARGE PARTY. I have been to Brio several times and have had great service, but after this last experience I probably wouldn't like to support their business. I held my graduation party there for 15 guests at 5:30. The host I spoke with on the phone said we needed to be done with our meal by 7pm because another large party had a reservation then. Our ENTIRE party was early or on-time, but they didn't seat us until 5:50. Then, the assistant manager comes to me letting me know our allotted time was up and she was wondering when we will be closing our tab because the next large party was waiting. I was dumb founded. I told her that the host seated us almost an half-an-hour late, but that didn't matter to her. The food was delicious and our servers were accommodating and friendly, but the professionalism of the assistant manager was embarrassing. A word to those planning a large gathering or party, perhaps find a more accommodating restaurant.

Ridiculous.

    (4)
  • Rhonda W.

I believe this is affiliated with Bravos ... but just more "upscale" and more expensive. The atmosphere also more upscale. They the bread bowl has these ... crackers ... ask for extra ... they are the bomb.

Hands down best Italian food I've had in a long time. Friendly service, great selection of wine, and awesome food. A bit pricey but worth it. Did not seem like a chain with the large selection. Worth the extra money verses carrabas or olive garden.

The food is here is good. I went here for dinner during my senior prom 3 years ago. We ordered the dinner special that comes with soda. They had this crisp thin bread that you dipped in oil with herbs.

I'm diggin' the lobster bisque. It has shrimp in it just to make it better. The spinach artichoke dip is great. When you sit down you get a ballin' bread basket. Good normal bread, good flat bread that tastes like Goldfish crackers on crack.

Had team department lunch there on Monday. Food was good. Nice atmosphere, but attention to detail was somewhat lacking.

I love Brio... I found Brio when my co-workers were looking for a place to celebrate a birthday... Now my husband and I love going to Brio on date night... We have never had a bad meal and the service is always GREAT!!!

Free upgrade to Lobster Diavolo = awesome. 'Twas quite tasty. Cellar No 8 Cabernet Sauvignon was a nice pairings with the lobster diavolo, for a good price. Try this place, especially in the fall when you can eat outside and not sweat.

We go here every year for our anniversary. I love the food, just a little pricey. The salmon with shoestring potatoes is really good.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
