Two stars for the food actually coming to the table. Absolutely HORRIBLE food coming to the table. We both ordered wings. Teriyaki smells like potpourri. Parmesan garlic tasted more like buffalo. No ma'am Pam. Avoid.

Really hit or miss. I will never go for food again because of how rude the servers consistently are. (The food is alright, but you can get better in Athens.) Will stop by for a drink if others are going because the bartenders are okay.

Surprise! The Pigskin has recently remodeled their whole interior! The inside is extremely spacious (great for large groups) and is generally very clean compared to the rest of the bars in Athens. For me, the draw of going to The Pigskin was for their signature drink, Black Widow, along with outdoor seating in the back. While, I actually never had the chance to eat at The Pigskin, I've always had a blast at the bar. The vast amount of open space coupled with the staff of alert and attentive bartenders made this place a great spot to meet-up with friends at the start of an evening. So why only 4-stars? One word: Halloween. As you may know, Halloween in Athens is utterly insane. I had friends in town who were visiting from OSU and we decided to begin our night here while we waited for more people to show up. The person at the door checking IDs would not let my friend in, not because he was underage (he wasn't) but because he was wearing face paint. Need I mention it again, it was Halloween. He was dressed up at The Joker and had worked really hard on his face paint as part of his costume! Lighten up, Mr. Doorman! Overall, I have very fond memories of this place and would love to go back, provided if I ever return to Athens again. Signature Drink: The Black Widow

I was a loyal Pigskin customer for 8 years, but tonight's experience will be my last. Their doorman snatched my license out of my hand and dangled it over my head, refusing to give it back because he said it wasn't my "real ID." I am months away from turning 30, by the way, and do not look "underaged" or different from my photo ID. I assumed he was an extremely inebriated person who just wanted to mess with people. He was wearing a jacket over his Pigskin shirt and acting so unprofessionally that I didn't think he could possibly be a real employee. I tried to show my ID to someone a few steps away who was wearing a clearly visible Pigskin shirt and he grabbed me by my coat and hair and shouted obscenities at me while accusing me of having a fake ID. So I guess if you're into being brutalized for no reason, go to Pigskin!

Ran by college kids in a college town. Don't expect the best service here. However the beef brisket was mighty tasty. Friend of mine was not a fan of the pulled pork.

A friend of mine was recently accosted by a doorman who appeared to be wasted. It was not even made clear that he was an employee. If you are young woman who is sober, of age to drink, and attempting to present a valid Ohio I.D. it would not be a good idea to visit the Pigskin unless you want harassed and have hands laid upon you. Keep it classy Piggy!

It is a campus bar....so now that is out of the way let us begin. First thing you'll notice is a ping pong table when you walk in... umm Yes please! They also have Ms PacMan in the back so for me that is an auto 3 stars. The food is not bad, your standard bar food really. Beer selection is decent and prices the same. I do enjoy the patio out back but more so when the had the nifty OU wooden bar sitting back there. Services is hit or miss.. really what do you expect for such a bar on campus?

Went to Pigskin before a OU basketball game for the first time and had a pleasant experience. The bar is very spacious and well-lit. I liked how they had some microbrews on tap such as Three Floyds to try. I came on a Wednesday and had the 1 pound boneless wings which were very filling. Finally, the bartender was nice and knowledgable with good suggestions. I would persuade others who have not been here to try this place as it's a very comfortable setting for groups or if you just want to go in for a beer by yourself during happy hour.

Loved this place in college, but also had a few friends who worked here. Patio out back, lots of places to sit and mingle on the inside. Quieter up front, more rowdy in the back. One of the bigger bars in Athens. Love the Black Widows!

Never really went here when I went to school in Athens- came back for a bachelorette party and loved it! New concept is open and spacious, lots of seating, and cleaner restrooms! Bartenders are great, good crowd but didn't feel crowded. Plenty of dancing space. Food is still good as well! Ill be back when I'm in Athens again.

Ordered the Pigskin Burger and it was completely burnt. The bread was literally burnt to a crisp. Got boneless wings- underwhelming. The chips were a breath of fresh air though.

Worst dining experience in a long time. No one greeted at the host station, waited a few minutes, then had to ask someone to help (assumed it was an owner, but she brushed us off to someone else, as she seemed too busy talking with bartender). Told server about food issues and no manager visit to table (same "owner?" talking with big table most of the time instead of all tables). Burgers tasted like they were soaked in brine. In fact, everything was very salty..and I LOVE salt! At least they couldnt screw up the beer. Thought there might be hope, but at least I know not to come back. Im sure the drinks are great, but the service and food made me want to go huff and puff at another little piggies house instead.
