The Chicken Parmesan and the Seafood Pasta were cooked to perfection. The four not five star rating is because the bread was below average. We are bread lovers and were not pleased with the bread. Service was fast and efficient! We are definitely willing to go back to D'Agnese's.

Arrived early, so we sipped some bar Happy Hour drinks. Bar staff was pretty glum and disengaged but the martinis were great. Things picked up when we went into the restaurant to have a Friday night dinner. Highlights were the Veal Saltimboca and the service. The wedding soup and 3 meat special were just okay. Great crowd of locals who seemed to be enjoying the food, libations, and ambience.

Arrived around 8:00pm and went to the bar as it was packed and the dining room empty. On Yelpers recommendations ordered one of my favorites, veal saltimbaca. Came out piping hot and well presented over spinach and a side bowl of pasta with oil and garlic. The veal was tender enough and the portion was good, but the whole dish lacked flavor. The veal was bland, the spinach was bland, and the pasta with garlic bland. The crowd, turns out ladies night, was fairly raucous for 50s-60s. The duet certainly livened things up when my dinner arrived with 60's music and most danced while I sat at the bar enjoying my dinner. Service was uneven as they forgot bread and so did I. Wine pour was stingy. Not a 4 as advertised.

I recently traveled back to Cleveland. As always, D'Agnese's is on my list of "must do while in town." It is one thing to return to a place and never be let down, but another when each time you go the experience feels new and just as fulfilling. I'm a big fan of a glass (or two) of wine with my dinner, and this place is the best around to enjoy the combination. My waiter made suggestions that weren't generic...you can tell he really believed in what he was offering. I was encouraged to try new items that I've not yet, and loved everything. I was with a group, but there were several people who appeared to be on dates. The atmosphere is perfect for all versions of going out to dinner. I cannot wait to get back to Ohio and eat at my absolute favorite place!

Lovely place for a date night, albeit a little cliche, but certainly romantic and the food is quite good. The inside is formal, not stuffy but definitely a classier place. Service was great, we didn't feel rushed or over waited on while we were there. They offer a seasonal drink menu, we ended up trying 4 of them and they were all really good and unique. The calamari appetizer was probably the highlight- crispy, light breading, not too oily, not too chewy. We ended up polishing off the whole plate! The entrees run about $15-$22/plate, but the portion sizes are generous. We had a steak dish and a pasta dish and both did not disappoint. Overall I see myself coming back here, probably not super often due to the price, but good to keep in mind for future date nights or drinks with girlfriends.

This time the calamari seemed authentic--and good. I ordered the "buffalo" calamari--it was very tasty, if a bit greasy. Almost as good as the buffalo calamari at Abalonetti in Monterey, CA--where I think the concept originated. D'Agneses includes some crumbled bleu cheese and a few greens, which are nice touches. The roasted beet salad was excellent. A large for $8.50 is a pretty good deal. Organic beets, arugula, candied walnuts and gorgonzola, tossed with balsamic vinaigrette and garnished with a fig balsamic reduction. The slightly bitter greens and slightly sweet beets and fig balsamic reduction are a great combo.

Love, love, love it here! My family has celebrated birthdays here and I eat lunch here often. The decor is masculine and upscale which reminds me of a romantic Saturday evening excursion even at 11:00 AM on a weekday! The wine list is exceptional with nice glass selections. The bread is classic Italian - chewy inside, crusty crunchy outside - served warm with "softened" butter and a balsamic olive oil/roasted garlic sauce. I've had several sandwiches here, and pasta, and pizzas... they have all been fabulous. The waitstaff also goes out of their way to ensure diners enjoy their experience. Although I haven't had the desserts they look yummy displayed in the bakery case near the front door. I've been wanting to come in and take a painting class with my girlfriends in the lounge while having drinks! This happens on a regular basis here and looks like fun. This is a great restaurant!

Close to home, perfect Italian restaurant with exceptional dishes from appetizers to dessert. Typically when we stop in for dinner we will sit in the bar, which has tvs and a relaxed setting. Recently though since our party was bigger we sat in the dining room. Our service has always been great, our entrees delicious - thus as I'd say they are consistently consistent and they happen to have some unique beers on tap. For a little local restaurant, tucked off the highway in an area where it pretty much stands alone they often do special events that I think are nice for the locals. For instance a paint and wine night, wine or beer sampling dinner, etc. While my husband gets usually veal or something with sausage and peppers I'm typically trying s special - what can't I get anywhere else or make easily. On a recent trip (I had 2 in one week) I had the monkfish which was superb. The wine selection could probably be a bit better when you provide by the glass options but i think that's really anywhere. So my suggestion is just to buy a bottle and cork and go (if you read my other reviews you'll notice I tend to always buy the bottle). If you do sit in the dining room and it's winter I suggest sitting towards the back or middle of the restaurant as the front can be a bit drafty. Thanks for being consistently consistent!

I had heard great things about this place and recently moved nearby so I wanted to try it out. We arrived about an hour and fifteen minutes before closing time. We stood at the front for approximately 10 minutes waiting for someone to greet us and no one came. 3 different employees walked nearby and said nothing. They were not busy. Not sure what the deal is but I'll take my time and money where someone actually wants to serve their customers.

Fantastic service and great food. We got the specials, an appetizer and a bottle of wine though so it was a bit pricey. $120 for 2 people. It can be more reasonable if you don't splurge though. Recommend. Salmon and a chicken pasta dish and mussels.

Food: My saltimbocca chicken was fantastic. The mushrooms were like little explosions of flavor. Not a huge fan of the calamari -it was a little tough. The noodles were very difficult to get on your fork. Service: The service was average. Our waiter was absent through most of the dinner. Price: A little too expensive. One of the dishes we ordered was $14 without a meat included dup after adding chicken it was an $18 dish...not worth the money. Overall: Pretty good. I'll return.

Extended family "celebratory" dinner tonight with grandparents and kids on a Sunday night. Got greeted at the door and seated. Ordered the only Barolo on the wine list (2006). Waiter came back and said they were all out. But had a 2008 at the same $80 price point. Ok - big difference in the two years. Asked him if that shifted the price point. No - he says. Ok. Pour it. Finished dinner which was decent. Walked out of the restaurant past the wine case and there was the 2006 Barolo in the case. WTF. Want to order wine ? Check the case before you do. Soured the experience. Will never come back.

Very happy with our 2 experiences here. Jen was our server both times and was very helpful & on the ball. Food was fantastic! Must try the Roasted Meatballs appetizer! The sauce is out of this world! This last visit, I tried the Scarparello Chicken and, in addition to being a lovely plate of food, the moistness of the chicken was amazing. Very rare to get that level of juciness in a restaurant. My fiance got the Shrimp Picata & loved it. Give the Alfredo a try too. Freshly made and wonderfully cheesy. This will be an at least once a month stop for sure.

Recently D'Agnese's was rated best patio, best bread, best place to take your dog to annoy other diners, best place to get a drink, best italian, best yoga studio, best happy hour....blah blah blah, you get the point, right? So, since there was a restaurant that seemed to grab every random 'best of title', we figured we should probably try it out. Upon entering, you would think this place was worst of. We were the ONLY patrons at 9:15 on a Friday night. In fact, they had already shut down the dining side and only the bar was open. I guess this place is really good? Service was great, of course, it was only us. We also had calamari which was good, a bit chewy for my taste but the accompanying sauces were good. For dinner I had the gnocchi con sausage and it was delicious. I just loved the gnocchi and the sausage was so flavorful, as was the sauce it was in. All around amazing. My husband had a gourmet pizza and the goat cheese kicked major deliciousness. I'm knocking a star off for the dessert. While it looks amazing, the tiramasu was just not good. It was definitely a good portion but it was dry and just lacked taste. Major fail. My conclusion: I think I will be back, perhaps during happy hour, I see they have great deals. But for regular dinner hours, I'll most like skip.

We love this restaurant. We usually eat here about once a week and everything is always excellent. All of the servers are nice, attentive, knowledgeable. Some of my favorite dishes are the BBQ chicken pizza, white pond salad and chicken picata. Drink specials are always fun to try a different martini. Anxiously awaiting the opening of the patio.

I was looking forward to trying this place after looking at many of the reviews and ratings online. It seemed like a great place to eat, especially as I entered, because they place was bustling. The wait staff was courteous, prompt, and kind. The food was fresh and decent, but much of the food lacked seasoning. If you're looking for relatively bland food, this is your type of food. I will say that if you like food to be minimally manipulated, this is your place. I also think the prices are a little high for the food.

Can only speak to the bar-side of the establishment (what a surprise) and that is ok. Generally here for an after-work visit; there are a lot of businesses around here - especially FirstEnergy up the street - and folks drop in here before heading home. The decor is nice - service has always been pretty decent (if they are not TOO busy) and overall it's a very comfortable spot. Prices are OK. I've had some good appetizers that were reasonably priced. After work crowd was 25-50, frendly and not too loud. Fun spot...wonder what it's like on a late Friday or Saturday?

This is sort of a hidden secret in the area because the restaurant itself is located in what looks like a medical office plaza in an area known for corporate offices but it's well worth visiting. The patio is great when it's warm outside and they've been hosting "Pooches on the Patio" twice a month where you can bring your dog and order them dishes like Lamb & Rice or Chicken Stir Fry. As for the food, I suggest the Penne with Chicken for lunch, it is incredible. This is a great place to grab lunch with clients or to hold a team meeting. But because of its location just off the interstate in an office heavy district it is a good idea to get there a little before the lunch crowd arrives.

Impressive Italian restaurant! We tried it based on the Yelp reviews and are thrilled we did. The decor is lovely, and it is conveniently located just off 77 at the White Pond exit. One of their specials was a cod with sun dried tomatoes, fennel, black olives, and a few other things, oven roasted fingerling potatoes. On hearing its description the wife ordered it and it was very good, something to get a second time. My system was bit off so I went with something which wouldn't bother me much, Linguini Marinara, to which I added meat sauce. It was wonderful! It was a spicier marinara, with a higher content of sausage to the meat, a wonderful flavor which I haven't had in years. And it cost $9.50 (lunch). I have no doubt but what with our experience with these two things that they have many great dishes there, but I'll be hard pressed to try anything else. Two stupid minor points I want to mention. First, the chairs are very uncomfortable. This doesn't matter much to most younger people, but those of us older mind uncomfortable ones. Two, they have good quality silver, nice and heavy. It is special.

My wife and I tried D'Agnese's on a date night last month. Very nice looking restaurant. I think I need to give the food a second chance, though. I LOVE Italian food. No really. I do. One of my favorite dishes is Veal Saltimboca. I make it for my family at least once a month and am always on the lookout for it at area restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised to see it here right next to my normal "first-time-at-this-Italian-place" order - the Veal Parm. It was a hard decision to pass up my go-to dish, but, come on, this was the Holy Grail of Italian entres for me, right? Nope. The veal didn't taste like anything by itself. The sause was very sweet and tasted of red wine (I've generally experienced white), and the prosciutto was very thin and overcooked - it crunched. Now I will say that I judge these things rather harshly. I know I had a taste expectation when ordering that just shot in a different direction, so that's why I have to try this one again. Next time I think I'll try the veal parm.

My third time coming was as good as the first! Lunch with friends last week was great as the service was friendly and prompt. The Chicken Picatta is my favorite! The Eggplant and Chicken Parm great too! Don't forget desert, yum! I accidentally forgot my bag and the staff found it and held it for me, very honest and kind! Don't let the odd plaza location put you off, this is a great place worth trying!

Took a party of 16 (including kids...thank God they have good wine) there the day after Thanksgiving. The food is outstanding. There is something on the menu for everyone and the veal saltimboca is the best I have had. The prices are very reasonable and the value for your dollar is evident. They served our large and sometimes indecisive party flawlessly and very quickly. Every one from 70 years old to 3 raved about the food and the service. If you want real Italian food and still only have to pay what you would at Macaroni Grill - go to D'Agnese's. To mention them in the same sentence with Macaroni Grill is a crime - but it will give you a good idea about the price range. Oh, try the buffalo calamari - it is different and perfectly prepared. I will be going back often.

Had dinner there last night with a business associate. The food was really good, had the veal satimbocca and while the sauce was a little creamy or buttery, it was REALLY good. I would have it again. The buffalo calamari was tasty as was the fried mozzarella. Had a view of the kitchen and the waiter had to ask 3 times for bread, which of course delayed our bread and dipping sauce. Service started out good but then died after the entrees came. The waiter stopped by once to check on entrees and I was offered a second glass of wine which I accepted but it never came. Had to eat my saltimbocca with ice water. Everyone can have a bad night so based on the food I will return to this restaurant.

My husband and I often visit this restaurant and we have a great time Every time! We usually get a cocktail before dinner and the bartender knows us by name and remembers our drinks. There is always a great conversation and atmosphere in the lounge (esp. on sat night with live music). The dining room is beautiful and the service there is wonderful. Out of all the servers we have experienced, every single one of them were very delightful and just seemed excited about their restaurant of employment and also happy to be working (which always helps the dining experience). The patio is great with light music playing in the background and it looks out at the White Pond. Def. a restaurant to try ASAP! Always great and a relaxing time!

So the decor is nice, the staff friendly, but the food seems to be hit or miss based upon three visits. On my first visit, there was a great fish special that was cooked to perfection. I also had the tomato basil soup, which was topped with a generous helping of gorgonzola. The complimentary bread was very fresh, warm and excellent. On the second visit, I tried the mussels, but these ended up relatively chewy and not the best. The garlic was a little overdone on the linguini as well. The bread was again great and the tomato basil was a little chunkier and seemed a little watered down in comparison to the first time. I tried one more time and it was better than the second time, but still not as great as the first. For the Akron area, I found this to be a good Italian restaurant, but if I really wanted great Italian food I would probably drive to Cleveland. I would give 3.5 stars, but rounded to 4 based upon the location and easy proximity to 77.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Had lunch on the patio on a beautiful, sunny day. Seafood Caesar was outstanding (salmon, crab, shrimp), as was the Sauvignon Blanc. This is a hidden gem. Music several nites a wk in the lounge. We'll be back. P.S. Rachel was great.

This was an amazing dining experience and the most romantic date I've been on. We dined here for valentines day and everything was amazing. The steak was the best I ever had and the chocolate cheesecake was delicious. It was very costly but very much worth it. We will definitely be back

The food was great! Salmon with risotto was a favorite at the table! Kids loved the pizza.

Good food, excellent service, and reasonable portion sizes (not too much, not too little).

Good reasonably priced Italian fair. Called about a billing question and received a call back the next day. I was pleased. I'd go back.

Second visit just as fab as the first. Get there!

Just had an amazing dinner with great service: attentive waiter, good wine, piping hot bread, delicious soup, and amazing gnocchi. We ate here when they first opened and both the food and the service were terrible; glad we gave them a second chance!
