Our waitress was great.... she was VERY attentive and personable. As soon as we were done with our soup... she had or salads ready to go..... same with the meal. The beef barley soup was great. The salads were generous and VERY cold. I was a little sad about the fish and chips. I saw the picture here, and was excited.... until I actually got it. It was two pieces off obviously frozen patties. Not the best. My friend got the veal parmesan... that was frozen too. The waitress explained they just changed the Fish and Chips a few months ago. I also believe she said she preferred the beer battered... but not sure if they were two different menu items. It's okay.... again it was personal preferences. Including a few photos.

Service was good the food was good. Nice bar atmosphere. Everybody is a regular. We had all you can eat fish on Friday and it was awesome. I will be back. Several families were there too. You won't be disappointed.

good service, great for watching sports, especially if ur an out of towner or transplant in miami. the staff and management will put on whatever you ask on whichever of the many tv's to choose from, and they are great at remembering the regulars.

Skillet steaks were awful, thin, tasteless, and burnt. Manager said it was a tough cut of meat and they were marinated in water. Yeah that helps. We told him we had it before and thy were thick cut . He said thats how they were cut, sorry we feel that way, and walked away. Nothing. Really? Nice customer service.

Love the staff and food! The corned beef hash is the best I have had ANYWHERE! The grub is affordable and the drinks are good. If Akron could have a "cheers" bar, this would be it.

The food wasn't great, there was a definite lack of seasoning and flavor. The portions were smaller than I expected but not tiny. I ordered potato skins and received 4 skins...which I thought was a bit small. 6 would've been more appropriate in my opinion. The burger was 1/2 pound and hand pressed. Would have been great had someone also bothered to season it . The bright spot was the waitress. She was so pleasant that I didn't mind leaving a 25% tip even though the food left me less than impressed. She kept the refills on the drinks steady, although the cup size is similar to that of a child size cup at a buffet. She seemed eager to assist. The only reason that would make me return would be for the service.

I should have believed the reviews. I stumbled across Duffy's looking for a place in Akron that serves oysters. Of course there isn't any good places so as the tap happy fingers went on, I found Duffy's. I've driven down 91 plenty of times but have never noticed Duffy's based on the pictures posted online. That area that it's around is pretty ran down and this place didn't look like it at all from what I saw online. Upon further research, it's not as fancy as I thought. I arrived at the place with a party of 6 on a Tuesday night for the advertised $2 1/2lb burgers! You seat yourself but the place is setup with booths that fit only 4 comfortably. The tables are also set for 4. In the corner though, there was that infamous corner booth that sat more than 4, uncomfortably. Upon opening the menu, the burgers are now $2.50 and everything is extra. I guess it's still a legit argument to say you can get a burger for $2ish. It is an extra .60 for cheese and $1 for lettuce, onions, and pickles. This not makes the burger $4.10 with no fries. I opted for onion rings. We were then met with out server who took our drink orders. All waters and 2 beers. About 5 minutes later, we are told they have no water for the building at all so they can't server us water. Okay. The server then retakes drink orders. Five minutes later she comes back and brings the pop and informs us our beer is going to take a bit longer as the bartender is busy. Drinks come and we place our order. About thirty minutes later, out good arrives. The burgers are really hand made vs many places that claim they are. They are plain but they aren't exactly bad. It's edible but not worth making a visit for again. By this time, our beers are cashed. We order a second round. We finish our burgers and our server is nowhere to be found. No beer, no water, and I'm thirsty. We were all just sitting there waiting for a check but no one came around to check up on us. My BIL then goes up to the bar to cancel the beers and the bartender had no idea about them. Our server comes up and tries to sneak the order in that she should have places a while back. We managed to get cashed out in time and she was very apologetic but I can't understand how one could be that bad. She was older but try place was DEAD. Other reviews said the food was bad and the service was good but it's the complete opposite for me. The food isn't anything special. I will not be returning.

I stop in for breakfast or lunch when working in the area. Can't beat the prices, variety of food and portions served. My favorite is the western omelette for breakfast!!! Service has always been friendly and upbeat. Look forward to another great meal soon!

I had the Breakfast Bowl when I went. Eggs, biscuits & sausage gravy, and homefries with a side of toast. It was good but the sausage gravy tasted like it was from a can. The coffee is delicious! And came free with my meal. I was able to walk out of there completely full for $10. That included the tip. I will be going back to try other things on their menu.
