I've been here multiple times and, usually, I order an omelette of one type or another. Overall, this place is good not because the food is especially unique or outstanding, but because it is decent diner food for a reasonable price. The service is friendly and quick too, which is a plus. The building itself is rather large, which makes it ideal for large crowds. (There is even a community room in the back, which one can presumably reserve for special events.) This is the type of place retirees and the Sunday, church-going crowd (which, probably overlap significantly) would go to chat after mass. It also happens to be a favorite dining establishment for the local police - so much so that a plaque from APD celebrating the establishment sits on the wall behind the register. So, suffice it to say, it is probably the safest diner in Akron.

If you want a good breakfast and lunch i would suggest this place, but if you want something special pick another place. for breakfast the have almost all the basics except Waffles

Not a bad place for breakfast. Nothing exceptional but the food was quite nice and service was fast & friendly. I liked my blueberry pancakes a lot. It's definitely homemade. Not many places open at 6.00 am in Akron and here is a better choice than Waffle House (and I like Waffle House, too).

I think this place is great. Diner food without the dirty diner. Family run, clean, and simply good food. If the hours were later, this place would receive 5 stars.

I've gone here with my brother a few times as an adult. This used to be a family tradition, as we always had coupons. Akron isn't a steller place for greasy-spoon diners, but this place isn't bad. Expect the expected. The omelettes are going to be prepared with american cheese slices and everything about the place is pleasantly mediocre. The staff is friendly and the service is good. My glass kept being filled with tea, but they were a bit overzealous with refilling coffee mugs. Must be a hang out spot for retirees.

Came in for breakfast on a Sunday. The service was fast and friendly and the food was great. It was your typical diner food, but it was done very well. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

This truly is a family restaurant. Service is pretty good. The food options aren't very original, but nothing is wrong with keeping things simple. They have decent meal combos for breakfast. Overall, if you miss than family feel when you go to other cookie cutter breakfast spots, this place might be what you're looking for. Check it out!

We don't come here often. Food not bad. Service is. I had to ask for a second cup of coffee and it wasn't from our waitress. Then we get our bill that wasn't added up but we figured out what it was. Little under $20. Take our bill up he says this was not added up I will be right back. He comes back.. bill was $3 more?? I said why is it more. He said that's what it is. I said where this 2.99 come from? You went back there then come back and my bill is more. Only to have the girl at the front pull out a calculator (which he could have done) then when I told him it was wrong to leave then come back with a higher bill with no explanation. I realize she forgot to put something on the bill but that's not my problem. And don't try to sneak it in after I have already added it up in my head. You have a cash register and a calculator and a BRAIN to add. Why the need to leave to add it up. And then when I point out how wrong you are you turn your head and start talking to another customer. I am done with them. I won't go back. 2.99 is nothing it's the principle and treatment of a cutomer. I'm sure this would not have happen to one one of the white people in there. I'm shocked there isn't a whites only sign on the door!

This opened up a few years ago, but the first time I came in here was today. I checked it out, and it was exactly what I expected. It's an above-average diner whose specialty is breakfast. Their omelets were good, and they had quite a few varieties of toast (more than the "wet" or "dry" you get at Denny's). However, it lacked that something extra to send it over the top - I can't quite point my finger on it, though. Overall, the servers were nice, the food was good, and the prices and hours were decent. If you live in the Akron area, you have to visit here at least once for breakfast.
