We stumbled across this cute little cafe after the diner next door was way too busy - and well we were starving. I started with a cafe mocha - it was perfect. To eat, I ordered the crepes with powdered sugar and maple syrup. I never had crepes before so I was excited to try them. Wow! They were delicious! My boyfriend had the egg, ham & cheese breakfast sandwich on sour dough bread. He had absolutely no complaints. I can't wait to go back and try their dessert crepes. And when you're there, check out their homemade desserts too!!

This place is the very definition of 'hidden gem'. It's tucked away near Panorama Plaza and Delta Sonic. This is my new place for lunch. It's a small cafe that does breakfast foods (including the BEST ham and eggs benedict I've ever experienced), lunch items (like a ham and havarti wrap that is to DIE for), and a dessert case with a lot of European cakes and treats. The dessert slices are absolutely enormous and they taste like perfection. Their list of coffee beverages isn't to be missed, either. The white chocolate mocha was the perfect amount of espresso and sweetness and was worth every penny. The people who work here couldn't be more excellent if they tried; they're friendly, happy to talk to their customers, and take pride in what they do. They recognized that my family is Armenian (from the last name on the credit card) and recommended some of their specialty imported meats (in their deli side) that are popular with our bunch. After our meal we waltzed over and I purchased some salmon roe. It was divine. This place has a place in my heart, and my wallet, forever.

Ever felt like all of your friends are hanging out without you when you discover a brunch gem in your own back yard? Well...I felt very close to that. Had I any friends in my zip code that is. Never the less, the epic case of "living under a rock" was in full swing one Saturday morning as a group of us were getting ready to hit up the lake for some wine touring. We were intending to go to the Original Steve's Diner, oddly enough another gem in the same plaza, for some casual greasy goodness. I do not regret opting for Europa instead. Our entire experience was amazing. From the warm welcome, hot beverages and food, down to some knowledge being dropped on us about all the awesome meats imported to their deli next store. Everyone praised their breakfast choices, but I will only talk about mine. I went with the yummy Crepe Melt ($6.99). Order with your choice of sliced meat, corn beef, ham or turkey, grilled with havarti cheese in a tasty thin but spongy crepe and drizzled with a light hollandaise. I absolutely fell in love with the texture of the crepe alone. It had the perfect balance of chew and sponginess. The hollandaise flavor and consistency was also very balanced with sweet, salt and creamy. This is a 'cholesterol bomb' I'll be coming to return for! Their hot beverages are do not take a backseat to the food...oh no they don't! Black Tea Blend 1 (Loose - Leaf Tea by the Pot) $3.99 Russian Caravan blend and smoked India & China teas. There were so many notes to this cup. It was had a bouquet of both light and dark flavors. A good one to share with friends at any time of day. White Chocolate Mocha Latte $3.80 - Rich espresso blended with indulgent white chocolate, steamed milk and whipped cream. I ordered mine low on the sweetness and it was absolutely PERFECT! The only thing saving my wallet is that Europa Deli Cafe do not operate on long hours. It's hard for me to stop in with Tue - Sun from 8am - 3pm hours. So I can chalk this up to weekend treats only!

I love the deli. I love the selection and this is one of my favorite spots to stop in and just splurge when I have a day off or on the weekends. I still have yet to try the cafe but I am sure I will not be disappointed. More people need to know where this place is because it is a hidden gem! Being almost full Ukrainian and Polish, I live for this food and when you can get the real deal, it always puts a smile on your face. The deli offers a black forest ham which I highly recommend and the little Ukrainian candies are awesome too.

Another fan added. Good food, the prices for the portion size may be questionable. We happened to be the only two in the place, service was very friendly and personal. We split the smoked salmon benedict, the fish was lovely and the hollandaise was light. Then we split the gyro panini, it was delicious. A little more gyro meat would have been nice but I know you can't over stuff a panini. Their homemade potato salad is awesome and quite unique. To go we ordered their special chicken n dumplings soup and stuffed cabbage rolls for grandma, they were reportedly as good as she has made. It's hard to one up a grandma! We also sampled a dessert or two, very spongey, meringuey and whipped creamy

I stopped here for brunch with 4 other people last Friday. The menu was fair-sized, after all this is a cafe. It was nearly empty when we went as well, with just one other group of people in the front of the restaurant. We were seated promptly, and food came out fairly quick. Personally I wasn't a fan of my meal- the Norwegian salmon crepe with cream cheese. The salmon was wicked salty. Now, I know how smoked salmon is salty...but this was ridiculously salty. The crepe itself was fine, but the salmon? Yuck. My friends got paninis and variations of crepes as well, which they agreed were fine but not outstanding. Since we were sitting next to the dessert case in the corner, we just had to get cake as well (brilliant, I know). To boot, the cake was charged by weight, and not by the slice. What kind of restaurant/cafe does that? Other than that, the cake was nothing to write home about. Pieces were big (and at $6, really should be). They weren't great, if anything a little too dry and bland. The jelly and frosting was fine, but the cake was bland. I personally wouldn't come back here.

My first review ever.....in rochester for a reunion weekend. Saw Europa on yelp and came for breakfast. Simply amazing BUT be forewarned --- it is a small family shop. Small menu with very personal service. Food (salmon eggs Benedict and crepes) and beverages were fabulous. Everything perfectly prepared and delivered with a smile. Would quickly become a regular if I lived in rochester. Some may find the size and pace frustrating but adds to the comfort

Spectacular food in a small, tucked away location. Breakfast and lunch are served alongside a beautifully made array of espresso drinks. Crepes, panini are artfully presented with salad and fruit. Great, friendly service. There are always some more "Russian" specials available - take advantage. Fresh and tasty ingredients abound. Enjoy!

After seeing the near perfect rating at Europa I had to try it for myself. I went there for lunch and I have to say that the Yelp community nailed this one! My server Jessica was super friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and unique, and the atmosphere was perfect (despite the fact that there was nobody else there for some reason!). I got a turkey and cheese wrap on wheat with a side of Russian potato salad and a server-recommended sweet cheese crepe to go. Perfect size lunch for me with a unique twist I haven't found anywhere else in Rochester. One unique thing about the cafe itself was that music was playing off the TV using Pandora so customers could see the info of the song that was playing. For me this is a really cool feature because I love music and it's a good way to keep customers engaged with the establishment. I have only two negative things to say about my lunch experience: 1. The seat at the counter was just a hair too short and I felt like I had to reach up a little bit. Considering I'm 6' 4" it's probably worse for shorter customers. Not a huge deal but something to keep in mind. 2. THERE SHOULD BE MORE CUSTOMERS. This is truly a hidden gem and they've tried to advertise in multiple places but not seen the return on marketing. If you haven't been before I definitely recommend giving it a try, you won't be disappointed. P.S. The dessert case was also eye-catching although I didn't get anything... this time.

Great coffee!! I love the scrambled egg and herb sandwich. It's so simple but delicious I have yet to try anything else on the menu. Friendly service and smaller cafe which is nice because it doesn't get too loud when it's full.

Deliciously adorable little cafe in Penfield! Unless you are looking for it, you would never stumble upon it, as it's tucked into a small plaza in the Panorama neighborhood of Penfield. It's small, with six or seven tables and a warm yet modern atmosphere. Our waitress was immensely helpful, helping us decide and answering any questions we had about the menu. It skews heavy on crepes, but the crepes are very simple - some meats and cheeses with herbs. Yum! They also have an impressive selection of eggs benedict-type options. I was feeling soup and had their chicken noodle, especially after the waitress told me it was one of her favorites. It was simple and deliciously comforting with pillowy noodles and a light and balanced broth. She offered to grill up some pita to go along with it which was a great addition. Although they did not list any fruit as a side, we inquired, and our waitress checked with the kitchen and brought out a large bowl of sliced berries and bananas. Extra points for customer service! She persuaded us to check out the dessert case and wow! Not to be missed, even for a girl with a very small sweet tooth like me. The cakes are brought in from a traditional Eastern European bakery in Brooklyn and are mostly multi-layered (super skinny layers) cakes filled with sweetness. We had a chocolate caramel slice with a cranberry filling. Super tasty. They cut the slice to your desired thickness which is awesome, but it's also on the pricey side so just be aware. All in all, a delightful cafe attached to the namesake bakery. I look forward to returning!

I visited Europa Cafe & Bakery a few months ago for brunch. The menu is simple with 3 different categories: Breakfast, Wraps and Salads. The breakfast menu can be further broken down to benedicts and breakfast crepes. I was hungry that morning so I ordered the salmon egg benedict along with the cheese and egg crepe. Portions are on the smaller side, but both items were very tasty. Simple ingredients but well executed. The salmon benedict is served on your choice of bread. I chose sourdough, but the traditional English muffin is also available. I was happy to see an appropriate amount of Hollandaise sauce. Excessive Hollandaise sauce is one of my pet peeves. The eggs are perfectly poached. The salmon is soft, tender and not too salty. As opposed to thinly sliced lox, Europa uses thicker pieces of cooked salmon. Everything was clean and healthy tasting. The food is not too greasy or salty, which is a plus in my book. The big surprise was the crepe. Who would have thought a cheese and egg crepe would be so delicious? Simple yet oh so savory. I swear there must be a secret ingredient, maybe truffle oil? If you are in the mood for a lighter and healthier brunch, Europa Cafe & Bakery should definitely be on your radar. Just don't expect your entrée to come with a mound full of hashbrowns.

Delicious breakfast options and awesome looking desserts! Nice cafe with great service and pleasant, casual atmosphere. We had a crêpe and a shakshouka - both were excellent and filling. Impressed by the variety, quality, and ambience.

A group of 5 of us had brunch at Europa Cafe & Bakery at 11 am, and it was awesome. Great variety of menu items made it hard to chose. Service was prompt and friendly, and our meals were delivered correctly in a timely fashion. Coffee Mochas were as delicious as they were beautiful. Ham 'n Egg on Crepe Benedict was excellent, as were both of the flavorful Smoked Salmon 'n Egg on English Muffin Benedicts. All eggs were perfectly poached. The server spent a good amount of time describing all the fabulous gourmet sweets in the display case that they order in from Brooklyn. We will be coming back to taste more of these! Quality food and thoughtful presentation. Reasonable prices. The server had no qualms about providing us with separate checks. The owner took our reservation via email which was convenient.

This is one of my favorite brunch spots. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. Service is always great! Best is the food. The shakshouka with pita points is my all-time favorite. It's different each time I go, but always terrific. I've sampled friend's meals- breakfast sandwiches, crepes, paninis, benedicts-- all delish. Their salmon is always fresh. Good coffee, too. I've gotten take-out orders of their chicken soup and cabbage rolls. Yum! Locally owned, a small grocery catering to Russian and Ukrainian items is next door. My Russian-born grandmother would have loved it. Try Europa! I promise you will not be disappointed!

Amazing food that is rare to find in most of US. Try their "Kwaas" - a rye drink, mmmmm. The bakery items were to die for, and the other stuff was really good too. Too bad I was only visiting Rochester, if I lived there, i would go often...mmmmm.

Attached to the secret awesome Europa Deli is the new Europa Cafe & Bakery. This is a most welcome addition to Penfield as this is not your average breakfast and lunch for sure. This is as close as it gets to eating over seas. This place is about subtle taste that is balanced, well distributed and never drenched or overdone. Each bite is a different from the last, and the law of diminishing returns is suspended as you are transported to another place and time. I like a bold cup of coffee (they do have Colombian for the light weights). I've had a Cappuccino here and it was excellent, it reminded me of the flavor that I knew in Sesto and Florence. The baked goods are in a display case that is not readily apparent as you walk in from the front door, so make sure you get a look. You will be rather stunned and amazed at the array of confections as they are multilayered, contain a spectrum of color and transition from smooth to a variety of texture. They also change it up all the time, the have some regulars, but they are always trying something new which is fantastic. Breakfast is Benedict's and they are very well done. The eggs are perfect, the amount of sauce is just right and not overpowering the dish, you can taste each of the ingredients distinctly and they are always fresh and wonderful. I've had a few of the desserts, they cut pieces to any size that you like (so very cool) and every single one I've had so far has been an adventure. Truly an art form happening here, I can say this coming from a family of chefs, bakers and mixologists, they really love what they do, and the best part is you get to taste this!! You should be so lucky. I'm happy to have such a wonderful little place so close to home. My new breakfast and lunch goto spot. The staff is not a staff they are real people who are part of the family that operates this home inside a building. You are a welcome guest and you are lucky to be there among this loving family business. -- Some other things to note. They are new, so no wireless here yet and frankly I don't want it, leave your computer at home and put your damn phone in the car. Be a human again and join in with the people around you. Yes, I waited to get home to write my review. :P No online menu yet, big deal get out of your house and try something new. Ask about the daily specials and I hear the soup is different every time and amazing. I can't wait to go back for lunch! Fantastic music as well, not your average run of the mill pop music mediocrity.
