I wasn't sure what to expect going in for an early lunch on a Saturday, but was pleasantly surprised. The food was better than average (we shared three appies) and the service was great. We ate at the bar, and the bartender was attentive and took the time to explain the menu selections, as we had never been in before. Typical pub fare with a few twists. The menu was light on "light fare" but what they had was very good. I would go back when in the mood fgor pub food or a nontraditional beer.

The only reason I like going here is because its relatively close-to-home and they have a pretty large beer menu. Other than that I wouldn't go. I'm big on trying different craft beers whenever I can, so when I come here (usually for a game) I get different ones each time. The zingers are O K, and the mountain melt is ridiculous, they're good but the portion is fricken HUGE. I wish they gave you size options for some of the apps. Its usually always packed and super loud, mostly because they have a billion TVs and are always showing the games of our professional sports teams. I have to say, as much as it stinks going here on big sports nights, its cool when everyone cheers together lol. Most of the wait staff is very friendly, but some of them aren't really attentive at all- only coming over to take your drink/food order then again after the food comes. Also the hostess' seem very snobby and too-good-for-this-place. They kind of grill you when you walk in and who the heck wants to be greeted like that? They have good drink specials (beer buckets and whatnot) and the beers are fairly priced. If you're going to come here for a game, GO EARLY or don't go at all. You could be waiting for over an hour! They do tell you that, though, upon trying to get your name down so that's good. They tell you straight up "Because of the games, we are extremely packed and the wait could be an hour or more." That's pretty good of them. Overall, come here for beer, a good place for groups, and the game (if you get a seat early!)

We stopped in to get a bite, my wife had been in with some friends for drinks and appetizers and thought it was pretty good. Well that's were you should leave it, drinks and appetizers. We tried the "make your own burgers" and they were dry and really overlooked. I made the mistake of paying extra for a different roll, that tasted like a dry sponge. The TV's were very confusing, where I was sitting I could see the same thing on multiple TV's but NOT the hockey game I wanted, while my wife on the other side of the booth had nothing but Hockey and MMA fighting ( which she really does not like to watch) no-one could seem to sort that out. The wings were good, nothing to go crazy about and the beer was cold. I would never try it again for dinner. OK for a game and some apps.

Went here for a New York Ranger game and some drinks and snacks. Sat at the large bar they have in the back so my review is only for that area. I went to another Millers before and had a bad time so tried a different Millers. Pros: ample TVs, a lot of drink specials literally a book. Smiling bartenders and decent liquor selection Cons: had the zinger melt and the zingers were soggy. Bar tenders were my biggest con here. We sat down for the game and had three different bartenders during that time. Wasn't even that busy. We were so confused who could actually help us!!! We always had to ask and were never offered can I get you another... Etc. didn't know their own beer selection but I guess that's normal. All I want is attentive bar tending

If it wasn't for their nice atmosphere and good beers, although more expensive than other spots, this would have been one star on food. Place is always packed due to great location but you can be certain it's not from the cuisine. I know it's pub food but you can get better in supermarket frozen food section. No reason why this place can't do better on grub!!

#SaltOverload. The first time I went here, I felt like I had to drink about 5 gallons of water afterward - everything was insanely salty! I've been there afterward and redeemed the place with a salad - which was good - but good chance I still won't be back. Despite that tasty salad, the memory of the other salty, prepackaged "meh" food kills the thrill for me too much. I DID witness a lot of folks around the bar and the back room having a lot of fun - so definitely go for that aspect. But #MaybeEatBeforeYouGo.

I dont know but I really like eating lunch in this place. I don't know if we were just really hungry or what but the food was really delish today it had us acting like savages at the table grabbing and gnashing teeth ..My husband was trying to wolf half of my mahi piccata as i was sawing off one third of his bacon cheeseburger. Two animals at Millers for lunch. Super cheap too.. daily lunch specials are about 5 bux. Everything was cooked well- they loose a star because the staff is a little bit stunod ...especially the hostess who was a space cadet drawing and coloring in the corner booth...lol no interference but wAs enough to be noteworthy

Overall it's a 3 star place, but if you order there huge ass nachos...that's an extra star. This nacho with everything can feed up to 4+ ppl and even with 4ppl sharing nachos, you may not even finish the whole thing. I tend to go here after practice with my teammates....not sure why here but it's our go to spot. If it's someone's birthday...that's where we will be. Here's the 411 in them nachos CHICKEN NACHOS ENORMOUS! Chicken Marinated in Salsa on a Mountain of Tortilla Chips Smothered with Melted Jack & Cheddar Cheeses. Served with Shredded Lettuce, Sour Cream, Salsa and Jalapeños. Add Guacamole 99¢ $10.95 During one of the outtings with my teammates I told SJ to meet me up there so we can eat dinner on me. I ordered a steak salad. I have always saw the picture of it on the menu and thought I should try it for once. It looked good and honestly it tasted goood as well. Here's the information on the salad SOUTHWEST BISTRO STEAK SALAD All Natural, Marinated, Thinly Sliced Beef over Fresh Greens with Monterey Jack & Cheddar Cheeses, Fire Roasted Red & Green Peppers, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Black Beans and Corn. Topped with Vinaigrette Dressing, Fried Onions and Bistro Sauce. $10.95 I have also tried: Fried Calamari - pretty good Fries - just like any other fries Zingers - seems to be a lot of ppl fav but I don't care for it. The spicy is not spicy On the plus side I prefer this Miller's over the one in Deer Park.

Miller's Ale House may not be the first place you think of when you are craving steak, but this place is 5 minutes away from me and they have a 12oz ribeye for $17. What can go wrong? Apparently, a lot. I'm generally not picky - a bit of salt, a bit of pepper, grill/sear for a few minutes on each side and I'm happy. But my medium-rare ribeye came out looking boiled and tasted that way as well. It was medium-well at its thickest portion (which was very thin for an 12oz steak) and well-done everywhere else. I chose the grilled option rather than blackened, but it tasted like they literally did not season it at all. I'm not one to make a big fuss and our waitress was very nice, so I gnawed at my dry, grey leather as I looked enviously at other, more appealing dishes. So much for the steak craving. I have to imagine the chef forgot about it on the grill. My friend had the 8oz flank steak in medium, but was actually closer to medium rare. It actually looked delicious. We also had the buffalo wings, which were great. Perhaps the chef who cooked my steak was an amateur, but for $17, I could have gone to Fairway next door and pan-seared two ribeyes on my own at home in less time.

Great location ad one of the best ale house Ive been too in a while. Service from bartender Reynolds and Sara was excellent, attending the full bar they had. Zingers was also delicious wish the hot sauce was a little hotter but had good kick to it. Love my visit to the ale house it was just perfect can't wait till my next visit.

Don't give them your credit card at the bar!! I give the food a 1 and the bartenders and "Marv" the manager"a 0. The chicken flatbread was suppose to have caramelized onions. They weren't. My wife's salad was good but not anything special. The tap beer selection is very good and the atmosphere is noisy but tolerable. No happy hour specials either. When ordering your first drink at the bar, however, the bartender will ask for your credit card. Avoid this at all cost! I had one drink and an appetizer and paid cash. They never returned my credit card. After I returned home, I realized this and called them twice. Marv, "the manager" insisted that they did not have it. My wife drove all the way down there......and ....they had it all along. Hey Marv....I'm still waiting for my apology!!!!! Will I return? Not anytime soon. Too many other good choices out there.

This is a typical Millers - we have lots of them in Florida. They are a novelty here in this part of NY, only open about a year or so. Needless to say, especially on football Sunday, they are packed. It's really fun to watch a home-town game here (Giants is what we were watching on this day - thankfully they won). We had typical bar type food - mini burgers, zingers, wings, steamed clams - all were fine - I happen to really enjoy the zingers which are chicken fingers in wing sauce. We drank pitchers of beers and had a good time. Their dinners are decent too but on par with other "chain" restaurants. I enjoy the atmosphere in the outside bar the best (it's enclosed with windows in the winter and they have fireplaces too). Reasonable prices.

I grew up down the street from the original Ale House. Everyone knows about it and it's packed every night. This one is just as good. The happy hour is great, food is good, service is good. It's a sports bar so expect it to be busy on big sports nights.

I have been here about 10 times, probably not going back though. I am a wing finatic, so I was glad that they opened. The first few times I came here, the wings were very good. The last few times I came here, the wings have been chewy, stringy, almost undercooked. Sauce is just slapped on and a puddle of sauce sits in the bottom of the bowl. Service: B Food: D Honorable Mention: Soft drinks are large and free refills. Captain Jack's dessert if awesome, off the hook great.

Great prices for a great meal! I hear they also have GREAT happy hour specials/ buckets of beer! But the place gets crowded quick, make sure to get there a little earlier!

Hmmm, YelpBoy is confused on how to rate this experience. Miller's seems to be a mixed bag of nuts, I suppose. On one hand you have below average service: Sat at the bar for 10 minutes without being approached despite the fact it was a slow night with only 6-7 other patrons at the bar. Decided to walk back to the main bar and try my luck flagging down the goofy kid who wore a baseball cap slanted strangely over his head who was behind the bar...got my draft from the boy who didn't look old enough to drink and returned to the back bar. Bartender at the back bar seemed overwhelmed despite nothing overwhelming actually going on. *edit* despite NOTHING really going on. So, anyway, you've got that. You've got very average food for a chain restaurant--I'd say its near the bottom of the barrel of all corporate chain restaurants. Now on the other hand, it is what it is and I suppose most people know that going in, so the positives would be its very cheap. You also definitely can't beat 64 draft beers and the variety that comes with having that many taps. Beer was cold, fresh and served in a chilled pint. I also liked the new open floor plan they created after rebuilding what was the old Houlihan's. Has a very inviting feel to it...or a fresh feel that made it seem inviting, I'm unsure, but liked it nonetheless. So, overall we'll just call it a middle of the road type of place. Isn't terrible. Isn't amazing. Oh, one last thing that was odd. I was told they were open till 2am yet the lights went up at 1am making it quite uncomfortable to remain. I bring this up only as a point to be made if in fact they serve till 2am. If I'm wrong and they make last call at 1am then I get it and that's fine.

Food is decent, but not spectacular. There is a good beer selection. However, the prices for the beers are outrageous! They were selling some 13oz beers for $9 (like Sculpin, not a particularly alcoholic brew). I rarely find those prices in Manhattan, so why here in Long Island?

This place has 75 beers on tap! Burgers! Steaks! Fish Tacos! (why am I giving it three stars) Somehow the Smithaven Mall turned into a chain restaurant magnet. And all of these new places are packed! I don't want to wait outside for over an hour to eat. I like making a reservation, showing up and sitting down. What a concept! My buddy's wife isn't too adventures. She likes to eat basic meals, meat and potatoes type of gal. So if we're going to for a few beers and burgers? It's Miller's Long Island Ale House Lake Grove for us! The beer is cold, the place is loud and fun, you just have to wait for a table. They had standard bar foods (burgers and fries) we ordered Fish Tacos: Three Flour Tortillas Stuffed with Grilled Mahi Mahi & topped with Pico de Gallo, Lettuce, Jack & Cheddar Cheeses and Chipotle-Cilantro Sauce. Served with Black Beans & Rice made this one awesome meal. I ordered "English Style Fish & Chips", which is a generous portion of Flaky White Fish fillets fried to golden brown goodness. Served with Cole Slaw AND French Fries? And for $9.959999999 cents?? Da-yam son, this dish puts me in a happy place. Nice sports bar place for burgers and beers. When it was Houlihans back in the day? I robbed a beer glass that I still use to this day. There also wasn't a one hour wait on a Friday to get in Houlihans back in the 20 Century. Miller Ale House. If you like typical standard bar foods at $13 per plate dinners? You've arrived. Get ready to wait...

Went in late one week night. Around 11pm or midnight. Went to the bar after the security guard (ok..) checked my ID at the host stand. The bar was about 1/4 full. Not busy. At all. Took us TEN minutes to be greeted by the bartender who was standing behind the bar and then walking toward the kitchen, back and forth, doing absolutely nothing. I'm hungry, I want a drink, you've looked at me numerous times and I'm still being ignored. If you were busy, I would understand, but I'd also expect a "hey I'll be right with you". When the two of us were finally greeted, or looked at and approached I should say, the bartender was not pleasant. Tossed us beer menus, didn't ask if we needed something right away, another 5 minutes to get my drink. Another 5 minutes to take our order of calamari and a quesadilla. I watch the bartender running a couple plates to the people across from us, and as he reaches over, he spills the girl's drink all over the counter. I secretly laugh because I hate this guy. Then he gets our food, almost spills my drink, but I grab it in time. Food sucks, I hate it. But I sort of expected that, least of my problems with the place. Doesn't ask how anything is. My response surely would have been "terrible". My boyfriend gets another beer, drinks almost half of it. When we're done eating the garbage that's in front of us, bartender grabs the plate and spills the rest of my boyfriend's beer on the counter. That is now almost 3 times in 10 minutes he's done that. After he laughs at the fact that he's pathetic, he goes, "you want another beer bro". I hate, hate, HATE this guy. My boyfriend obviously says yes since the beer he was enjoying is now in a bar rag. The rest of the maybe 10 minutes we were there were equally as horrible. Fast forward to the bill, and we've been charged for the beer that replaced the spilled one. I'm not okay with this, so I get his attention and tell him about the mistake. He replies with "Lol yeah but you drank like, half of it." I laugh back at this idiot and say "yes, and you spilled the rest." He gives me an attitude about the fact that I am surely going to get him to remove the beer from our bill, and finally says "aight you want me to take it off? Lol aight". YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. Our bill was 50 dollars, and as a server myself I never, ever tip under 20 percent. I so badly wanted to leave him nothing because mixed with his attitude and his terrible work ethic, that's what he deserved. I decided on 5 dollars for the fact that had basic functioning motor skills and was probably smart enough to know how to spell his name.

Great spot to meet up with bunch of friends. They have a nice outdoor area and decent priced pitchers of beer. Loaded fries are the best!

The beer selection is excellent, the food generally pretty good. They have to be: the service here is awful. Been here a half dozen times and am always stunned by the ineptitude of the staff. You could die of thirst before you get a second drink. Orders take forever to come out and are often wrong. DO NOT come here if you are looking for a quick bite.

I've been to the miler's ale house in deer park before, so I know what the typical restaurant is like. This one is no different, a good selection of beer and very big venue to host plenty of people. They even have a fireplace which I thought was a nice touch, during these coming cold months. My girlfriend setup a surprise party for me and when we got there, my friends were still waiting for a table which they called for early in the morning and since they don't make reservations they told my girlfriend to call 30 mins before and proceeded to do that and I guess that didn't help either cause they were still waiting which kinda ruin the surprise aspect of the whole thing. Nonetheless the food was decent, beer was good. If it's fight night beware of waiter or waitress coming up to your table and asking you if your watching the fight so they can then try to charge you ten bucks, that was the first time I've ever seen that. I guess bring blinders so you don't accidentally see the fight on the billion TV's they put around you. Don't, I repeat don't forget your ID. They are very strict on this, no matter how many other forms of ID you try to provide them. Other then that, you want decent food, okay service since most night are busy, & depends on the person serving you, maybe you'll get lucky. A great selection of beer, I recommend grab some friends and go here to watch the game of your choosing. Have a good time!

NO NO.. NO!! Some of the worst service I've had in a long time at a restaurant. The place would be great for drinks, the bar is terrific- but keep it at that. Or try it and hopefully you will have a better dining experience than my family and I did tonight.

Wow! I really wanted to like this place. It's horrible!! Great waitress but by far the worst meal I've EVER eaten. I had salmon and baked potato. Potato was way under cooked. The salmon was over cooked and they dumped paprika of all things on top. I could not even eat it. Wound up bringing the food home to my dog. My daughter had over cooked mozzarella sticks which she did not eat and my husband had pow shrimp. OK, who takes fried food and then sits it on a plate with a wet sauce??? Hello??? Gross is all I can say.

Food was mediocre at best, cool atmosphere, however the hour wait to get in just wasn't worth it. Took over an hour to get food, waitress forgot to send our order and had to come back twice. The waitress did offer us a free dessert for the mistake

Three stars for the service, one for the food. "Cajun" ribeye was bland, overdone, and paper thin. It was also an odd grey color. Calamari was surprisingly good as was the nutter butter pie, but that is about it - from a table of five.

Another average restaurant, that seems to attract the 20 yr old crowd. If you like loud noisy places that scan your drivers license, give you a wrist band, stamp your hands when you enter on a Friday, and Saturday night , and like buckets of Coors light for $7 then this place is for you. Although they have decent craft beers, they don't offer any afternoon happy hours for these beers, and the seemingly underage bartenders are not knowledgeable on beer styles, stem ware and serve all their beers in frozen glasses. This is a shame since they advertise themselves as an ale house; you would think they would educate their staff on such things. However being close to the mall and Stony brook University they probably will do well regardless. For me though, I will avoid as much as possible.

After viewing the menu online, my husband and I decided to give Miller's a try. When we arrived we were handed a ticket with a number on it and we were told to watch the board for our number, for a moment I thought I was at Motor Vehicle. This is the way they handle their seating and it seems to work for them. The waiter was right there and took our drink order. We ordered two appetizers, the onion rings and mozzarella sticks ( more like chunks). The onion rings were luke warm and undercooked and the mozzarella sticks were just ok. My husband had a mojito which was ok, and I chose sangria which was just awful. Sangria should be fruity... the only fruit they loaded into the narrow glass were lemons and limes; it actually turned my stomach. As for the food, the manager himself brought the food to our table, and apologized for the long wait. Hubby ordered the steak fajita which he enjoyed, and I had the steak sandwich which was just ok.. I wouldn't order it again... The fries were undercooked and came out cold. We ordered dessert "to go", the chocolate layer cake. I realize they don't make the cake there, but like everything else in this place, it was just ok.. and they topped it off with cool whip, not even real whip cream. All in all, we might try Millers again, but not for a long while... They need to get their act together.. Maybe retrain the back of house manager. I have to say though, we thought the service all around from the hostess to the waiter were great, the food, not so much...

We went since it just opened and we live in Lake Grove. The food was alright, nothing great but we had to wait long for our meal. One of the managers came over and apologized and said he would take care of us after we finished our dinner. Well, he avoided eye contact. I would not return. Not because the manager avoided us. The place is too noisy and the food was equivalent to Fridays.

Wow where to begin? being that this place is always packed with people how do you explain the bad food? I can't believe the poor quality of the food that is served. Now we all like good bar food and I've been in enough bars in the day but a rib eye steak with no flavor and fake mashed potatoes! a steak sandwich on a processed garlic bread with some kind of mystery sauce? Also don't go expecting loaded cheese fries like the outback cause what you get is a subpar cheese fries with hardly any cheese and and processed dipping sauce. We had to return the steak and got a burger instead which was not to bad, we also returned a pineapple margarita due to lack of flavor and no tequila. The management was quick to comp one meal and comped us a desert and no charge for the margarita (thank you). I think you have to order wisely here! We will come back to hang out at the bar area for some good micro brews but food wise not so much!

seriously? whoever gave this even 2 stars needs help. if you like plain burgers and nasty fries, well enjoy millers. ooo and if you like lettuce and cheese on your brownie sundae dessert, my gosh you've found a place. what a joke. only reason it gets a star is cuz theres no 0 star! hope this one helped :)

I'll start at the beginning. My family of five ordered appetizers; nachos and mozzarella sticks. The nachos came to the table cold. There was no guacamole or refried beans, and the cheese was of terrible quality. Since the entire dish was cold, the cheese was the consistency of bubble gum. ( Thank goodness that there was little to begin with ). The mozzarella sticks tasted like they were picked up next door at Costco, and stuck in the microwave. Oh, and the nachos had absolutely no flavor. There was no seasoning. Not even salt. How can you mess up a hamburger? I asked for medium. I actually like meat rare, but I ordered it medium since this was the first time I was there. After I took 2 bites, I discovered that the meat was RAW, and the inside of the burger was cold. It was like I was eating ground chuck from the freezer. The bacon was cold and chewy. I put it down and covered it after 2 bites. Again, it was unseasoned and had absolutely no taste. Everyone had the same complaints; every meal tasted like cardboard, and was cold. ( Did the cooks lose their salt and pepper shakers)? The grossest thing of all was a hair in my son's plate. That was the final straw. We asked for the check, made our complaints known, and left, never to return.

We had heard about the hype of this place, so decided to give it a try with my 2 daughters on a Saturday around 5pm. The wait was about 20 minutes which wasn't too bad. The waitress came right over to get a drink order but then it took at least 10 minutes to get them. When they came the size of the glasses was so huge we didn't have to worry about refills so that was ok. We really liked the atmosphere, with all the TVs which kept us entertained while waiting for the food, which took longer than average but the place was packed so I'm forgiving for that. The chicken zingers we got for an appetizer were great, but it stopped there. My little one got the kids fried shrimp and mashed potatoes. For $4.49 you get what you pay for. This kid will eat anything, but not this food. The mashed potatoes were from a box. The shrimp were like rubber. We told the waitress about the potatoes and she offered fries instead but we declined because it would take too long, we were basically done at that point. I had the mahi mahi fish sandwich which was bland with no flavor, and I upgraded to sweet potato fries. That was a mistake as they were soggy and had some kind of sweet butter dipping that was so hard you couldn't dip it anyway. Usually it's a creamy maple at other places, which is what I was expecting. Not even close. The only one relatively satisfied was my other daughter with a basic burger and fries. She ended up sharing her fries with the little one, who left hungry. Over all, not worth the wait or the money even if the prices are good. I would rather pay a little more for a meal I enjoyed. The bar looked like a fun place but considering I had my kids, did not experience that.

My favorite spot for a late nigh bite on the island. They're chicken wings are bomb and they're brownie dessert is out of this world. Not to mention the great service you receive.

Who does not love millers? Hot freshly prepared food, crispy mouth watering wings and the most reasonably priced drinks on Long Island. They have craft beers that cost me $10-$12 in Huntington or Patchogue for 6 bucks. The place is always packed so u know the beer is fresh un-like some places that are still offering fall beers that have been out of production since November in April. If you haven't, try the ribs, Cajun Chicken pasta or anything with Bistro sauce on it,including my favorite, the Bistro Burger medium rare with homemade potato chips on the side. Wash it all down with a Nutter Butter peanut utter ice cream cake!!

Great place to drink beer watch a sporting event or just have a good time with friends. They have a great selection of beers on tap as well as in the bottle. The food is pub food. The zingers are what they are known for. It's worth eating. Our server Carlos was very attentive, he was a great server. We would go back

Ordered the Seafood Combo which consisted of shrimp, scallops and clams - all fried. The food was not seasoned and therefore had no taste whatsoever. Bland as hell. Not even hot sauce could save it.

Overall not bad but not super totally awesome. I mean maybe it's great at night while watching a hockey game (yes I'm a hockey gal) or a baseball game but good lord this place has a ton of TVs going. Sure to please anyone who wants to watch a game or two or one of the fights. The service was decent but nothing out of the ordinary. Something to note that their cups for water are HUGE. Is this Miller's way of saying "we won't be back to fill your cup"? Needless to say I didn't need a refill cause the cup was so big but it's all good. Food wasn't bad. I'd like to come back and try other stuff. Sorry no pictures my phone was in the 30% range and did NOT want it dying. Next time I'll take pictures. The lobster bisque was pretty good for a chain. No where as good as my evening out at Mill Pond House with Roy and Lana but pretty damn good. My entree was forgettable but I'll let that slide since Miller's woo'ed me at the Lobster Bisque. Until next time.. I'll come back during the evening to watch a game and get some grub.

Lemme forewarn you, I do not drink so I am basing this review on the fact that I don't drink and didn't have an alcoholic drink while I was here. I have gone here for the food. First time I went for the strip steak. This was pretty good. Seasoned very very well and cooked on spot. Unfortunately for me I only like a plain steak with only salt and pepper with some butter. Definitely recommend this food for people who like seasoned steaks The second time around I got Miller steak sandwich. This came as very very plain. I had to put salt and pepper on top. The appetizers are what is pretty good. The zingers with the parmasean garlic sauce. The calamari with spicy Asian sauce is unique and tastes amazing. We got wings with hot sauce and that was slightly overwhelming. Too much sauce. Overall the place is alright. I wouldn't go there on a whim nor will it be a first choice for food. And if you do go here go for typical bar food. Don't get too fancy. Maybe if you are boxed from all the alcohol then it wouldn't really matter anyway. Lol.

I was there today around midnight I went online to see what time they close it said 2am the door said 2am yelp said 2am we walked in and no one was their to greet us we waited like 10 minutes to be seated I am now thinking they close at 2am I was rushed with the service at 12:50 the security guard came over to the table and said we are closing while I was eating and having a drink it was a complete waste I didn't finish payed the bill and left I will never go back and visit that location everything was a rushed job if the server would of said we are closing at 1am we would of never stayed. Awful will never go back everyone was in a rush to go!!!

New place opened so I was thrilled to give it a try. Ordered the hamburger and had to be one of the most average burgers around. I don't like fast food but I think Wendys has a better burger. I think of all those good burger joints on TV and say how the heck did this place ever find an investor.

Food was ok & the wiatress not so much. She literally argued with me when I told her the Sierra Mist my daughter & I ordered was seltzer & not what we ordered. Her response was "yes it is" & she looked at me like I was an idiot. So I said no it's defintiely seltzer but I will have a lemonade insead & my daughter ordered a pepsi. Well the lemonade came (which was supposed to be coutnrytime lemonade) & it tasted literally like water with a lemon thrown in & not sweet at all. Didn't even bother saying anythign to the waitress since she did not seem to care about serving me & my 10 year old seltzer. Food was just ok. nothing spectacular. The waitress never once asked us if we wanted refills of our drinks. We literally ahd to flag her down to get another drink order in & she seemed annoyed that we bothered her. not sure I will ever go back & I would not recommend this restaurant to others

LOCATION: Across from Smithhaven Mall DECOR: Pretty big place. Wood walls/floors and tables, Lots of TVs on the walls with sport games on. Fire pits outside with seating and an outdoor TV. FOOD/DRINK: Ordered Mozzerella sticks as an appetizer, they were okay, nothing special. Got a burger and a zinger quesadilla for entre. The burger was supposed to be medium well, but came out pretty much well done. Didn't care for the ciabatta roll that it was on. The zinger quesadilla was pretty good. Crispy, spicy chicken in a large tortilla with pico de gallo and cheese. Came with rice and beans on the side. Food prices were average, around $9 for burger and $9 for quesadilla. DRINKS: Ordered an angry orchard and sam adams pumpkin. The rim was dipped in sugar and cinnamon on each of them, which was tasty. The waitress suggested I try a shot of Fireball in my angry orchard (would end up tasting like apple pie). I said yes and it was good, I was glad she suggested the idea. However, I didn't realize the shot of Fireball in my angry orchard drink was its own price (I figured maybe it was an extra dollar or two but it was $5 extra for the shot). In total that one drink came to around $10, which isn't too bad, but I just wish I knew, before I ordered it, that the Fireball in it added $5 onto the cost. SERVICE: Took a few minutes for a hostess to come over to the little booth when we first got there. We were kind of confused at first if it was a seat yourself type place because of that. We were about to just go sit somewhere when a hostess finally came over. Waitress was average, friendly and pretty quick bringing out our orders considering it was around 11pm at night. I would probably return, maybe next time I would go earlier in the night though.

Food was very good, steaks cooked perfectly. Buffalo shrimp is very tasty. Service was very good and quick even with all tables filled. Will be back.

This was our second visit. Both times the staff was Very friendly and helpful, Nice atmosphere, relaxed. Tonight we had the Weds. night lobster special. Excellent! And the cool brews were a hit with the hubby. Our first visit was for lunch, nachos were HUGE and we ordered the smaller size. I ordered the potato soup in a bread bowl, very tasty but literally 2 spoons of soup and the rest was bread. But since I was full from the Nachos, no need to complain. My husband mentioned it to the waiter and offered the bring something else but it was just not necessary. I would definitely go there again,

The locals have been talking about Millers Ale house non stop since it opened. I finally came here with my family, waited an hour to sit, and after all the hype, I was disappointed. My drink had a film of grease floating on top, the table was dirty, and the food was something out of a school cafeteria. The best thing about the food was the price The bar and the beer on the other hand is great. Thats why I gave it a 3 and not 2 stars

We decided to try the new location on Monday night. It was myself, my husband and our 3 year old. We have had great experiences at the deer Park location and were pretty excited to have one closer to us. The parking lot was packed so we thought there would be a wait but we were seated as soon as we walked in which was awesome. Our first server took our drink orders and brought my daughter her drink and told us she was leaving and someone else would be taking over. Ok, no biggie but it's been more than 5 minutes now and we are still hoping for drinks. Finally our new server came by and brought our drinks and took the order. We ordered the medium hot wings and the teriyaki wings. The teriyaki wings were great. The medium wings are bland. I'm not even sure how you can make bland hot wings but that was a huge disappointment as I was craving some spicy wings. And then the wait for dinner started. Obviously or server waited for us to finish our apps before putting in our dinner order. And forgot to ask if we wanted more drinks. Our drinks stayed empty for 5 minutes before he asked if we wanted more. And these were bar drinks, upsell much? Eventually the server was kind enough to let us know that our wait for food was because my husband ordered the osso buco. Thanks for making this our fault. The food came and my husband's food was great except he got the wrong side but we were not about to send it back and wait longer. I ordered the steak fajitas and it was inedible. It was so bland, what I thought were spices turned out to be grill bits. How do you make bland fajitas? Even the peppers tasted like water. Not only that but the meat tasted bad. It was cooked perfectly how I ordered it but it tasted really foul. I wasn't in the mood to deal with management so we chalked it up as a pricey meal for our dog and wrapped it up and she ate it. There are much better places to spend $75. And we won't be back to this location. Hugely disappointed.

First time here since they opened a few months ago or so. Late night weekday for a couple of brewskis with a buddy. I like the selection of draft beers, love that they have 2 bar areas, and the place is a lot bigger than the old houlihans. There wasn't much of a crowd since I was there during off hours. Although it did take north of 5 min to have a bartender come over to me at the bar to see what I wanted to drink. I'll have to try it again and report back in the food and the service.

This place was unfortunately not hard to get into last night due to the snow. Wish there would have been an hour wait so we would have gone to the Good Steer instead and gotten good steaks instead of barely acceptable ones! Got the filet mignon, certainly not very high quality and the broccoli that came with it was obviously frozen and totally bland! My bf's 120z rib eye was not even half an inch thick and he hated the onion rings. When he told the waitress, instead of being apologetic about anything she said that all the customers love the onion rings and regarding the steak said "well, we're not a steak house"! Well, I doubt that we'll be going out to find out what they have that's so good that people wait to get in!

After shopping at the mall, my family and I wanted to try someplace different for dinner today. We saw how busy the Ale House was and thought we'd give it a try. There was about a 10 minute wait at 5pm (it's Saturday). Their system of wait listing is a little strange. They give you a sheet of paper with a number and you have to check the digital board for your number. Once seated our server took our drink orders immediately. She was a bit young and could not describe some of the beers on the draft list. We decided to go with beer we recognized since she wasn't familiar with the brews we wanted to know about. She didn't offer to find out for us. I ordered the steak sandwich. My son got the hamburger at the recommendation of the waitress. Hubby had the ribs. A manager came by at the beginning of the meal to see if everything was ok. Since the food just arrived, we had nothing to tell him. It took a while for the food to come. Certainly longer than average. My son's burger was bland. It's really hard to mess up a cheeseburger but they managed to serve a patty of beef that seemed to have all the flavor sucked out. My sandwich, marinated steak with mushrooms, onions and provolone was uninspiring. I could have easily made something better at home. There was precious little steak and what was there simply lacked flavor. They were very stingy with the sweet potato fries, which came with some sort of strange butter like substance that was too thick to be a dip. The ribs were dry and simply meh. For half the price we could have had a much better meal across the street at Bobby's Burger Palace. Like other reviewers said, it wasn't horrible, just bland food, long wait times and a totally forgettable experience.

Been here twice.. the first time I went with my boyfriends family for his birthday. Everything was taking extremely long and the waiter seemed overwhelmed. I was disappointed but then it was explained to us that the computers crashed so I was sure it was just chaotic because of that. I felt bad that I was angry because I'm a waitress and I know what it's like when something like that happens. I gave this place another shot, wasn't amazing but wasn't terrible. My biggest complaint was the security guards hovering around the dining area and tables while I was trying to have a nice meal with my sister and boyfriend. I understand it's a bar as well as a restaurant but it felt a little awkward and made me feel uncomfortable he was only a foot or two from my table and I could feel him staring at me while I ate. Waitresses name was Jill I think and she did a nice job. She had a full section and was still attentive and friendly. After the restaurant started to clear out she stayed working. Noticed her cleaning, sweeping, wiping down menus etc. Hard worker. Food was okay. There's no other way to put it. Drinks took long to get. Zingers were the best part about the meal.

My wife and I looked forward to the opening of Millers but when it finally opened we were disappointed !! We went on the lobster special day. I got the lobster and when it was served it was not hot..so I returned it and they said that they get me a knew one but when it came back it was the same one but just rewarmed....by the time the lobster came back my wife meal was cold because she wanted us to eat together. We complained and they apologized but offered us no compensation...when we go out to eat it's not only to eat but enjoy the experience and we didn't not have a good experience !! I would say this place should not be your first choice !!!

Let me start by saying I've eaten here several times with my wife. I've had burgers, sirloin steak, ribs and salad. First off I'm astonished that this location is packed most nights. You'll wait 25 minutes on a Friday night. That said, I really believe that people don't know good food. The steak, while cooked perfectly, was tough and had a slight off flavor to it. I normally find sirloin to be tough in general but the waitress said the steaks were marbled and tender. I probably should have ordered the filet. She was wrong, as a side dish I was given broccoli. It must have been frozen or sitting around because it had a funny taste. I even like frozen broccoli but this was inedible. I pushed it aside. I did like my baked potato but when I went to eat the skin I discovered that they rolled the potato in coarse pretzel salt which made it way too salty. I have no idea why they would do this. My wife ordered a steak sandwich. She said it was good but when I tasted it I thought it had a slight liver flavor. It was obviously frozen thin steak shavings but the wife didn't mind. The ribs, IMHO are cooked well but the sauce is not to my liking and ruined the experience. Next, lets move on to the salad. The croutons are the saltiest little cubes of bread I've ever tasted. I pushed them aside. The first time I went their I took the salad as is and also discovered that they use fake bacon bits which had a strong flavor and were a little chewy. The burger tasted good but the roll was way too much bread and the lettuce is more of a garnish lettuce and the tomatoes were not very good. Overall I feel the food is on par with Friday's or Ruby Tuesday's. The food is way over priced for what you get. I paid 18.00 for a tough sirloin steak. My wife ordered a Corona for 5.99 which I guess is normal but a bit high for tap beer. While I have had it with this place my wife likes it and in all fairness they do a great business. The other positive was that they brought out our food in record time. The atmosphere is also nice with an outside eating area and active bar. I do all the cooking on my house. I love to BBQ and cook all sorts of dishes. I've been told that I'm a great cook and have m share of failures in the kitchen too. I say this since I believe I have a great palette yet I can't understand why people eat in this restaurant.

Great place to go with friends and family! Went with a party of five. My father got a beer on tap and my mother got a glass or merlot, I also got a imported beer on tap.. We each got a burger and fries and then got the bill.. IT WAS CHEAP! We were shocked at the prices compared to the other garbage restaurants in the area, only $50.00 for 5 people! I highly recommend this place for your next night out!

Went there on a football sunday and this place is packed. If you want to catch an out of town game get there early because alot of people go and the bad thing is they do not have the box speakers so you can't hear the game unlike BWW or D@B . Food is ok typical bar food and they have a beer special (8 bucks for a pitcher of miller light ) . BWW offers a better deal on beer . Waiter was nice food was ok it can be a great place to watch a local game but that is about it .

If you're a sports fan, especially football, this place will be considered a temple, as there are a TON of TVs to meet your eye line in every direction. They even have them installed under the bar so you can watch from there as well. Now, TVs don't make the bar or restaurant...the service, beer selection, and food quality do. This place has only been open for six weeks, so I went in willing to accept a few hiccups as they get things sorted, but for this visit, there weren't any. First impression as I pulled into the parking lot was, "are they giving something away for free?" The parking lot was packed. Walking in, families & groups of two were obviously waiting for tables. I walked straight in and found a spot at a bar next to an empty stool, as I had a friend who was going to join me shortly. Looking around, this place is MASSIVE. There is a main dining room area, with a bar in the center that is huge. I almost missed it until I went to the bathroom, but there is another large bar and seating area in their "sunroom" which looks great. They also have a smaller outdoor area, also equipped with TVs. This is a cavernous place, and it was packed to the gills on a Sunday afternoon. My bartender, Stephanie, ensured the service I received was quick. She was generally very responsive which was appreciated. The bar crew work as a team, are very friendly, and made sitting at the bar a pleasurable experience for my friend and I. Beer selection is nowhere near what you get at a Croxleys, but they had a solid selection of craft beers and Long Island beers. This was a major plus, as I feared it was all going to be Miller Brewing company beers. This is not the case. Food...I ordered honey BBQ wings that were fat, juicy, and flavorful. The cup of blue cheese is skimpy, so simply ask for two. Hot wings weren't as good, but my friend ordered them and I'm not generally a fan of hot wings, but my friend liked them. Main course was the mahi tacos and they were awesome. My friend ordered the porterhouse, and as a steak lover, he was satisfied. All in all, we spent four hours sitting at the bar, a few beers never made it on to our tab, and the experience, with beers, apps, and food, run us each about $60 with a generous tip, as Stephanie and Jamie took great care of us. I have a Croxleys that is within walking distance to my house, so it'll be tough to frequent Millers, but I do recommend it and will certainly frequent this place during football season and or for any other major sporting event. Good job Millers!

We have been here 4 times. One lunch, two dinners and late night. The place is nice with a lot of tv's and music. It had a bar only side (21 and over) and a restaurant side. Both are fine. They also serve outside on the porch, which is really the parking lot with a fence to separate it and a fireplace. Service was real slow on the busy Saturday night we went and our drinks were empty for a while. I actually had to ask a passer by waiter for more drinks or to get out waitress, which he did. Food took too long but we were talking so didn't mind it much. The place was packed at the time with a line out the door. I give the service 2 stars that night. Food is fine, not 5 star but fine. Desert was good too. Be prepared to spend $65+ for a family of four, maybe even more. We liked it though overall and will likely go back. Would be fun watching a Giants football game there on a Monday nite I think.

Great Sports bar look, TV's everywhere...great. SERVICE - Terrible...pure and simple. Crowded Sunday and they did not have enough bartenders, took forever to get a drink. Glasses dirty...that was the start. Got seated and waiter was not courteous or helpful, almost like he was mad he was working. Had to ask him several times for many thinks from plates to water. FOOD, terrible. I know it is basically bar food, but I have eaten great bar food and this was not. Asked for crispy fries, under cooked and soggy. only a few fries on plate..very small portions and all food looked hastily prepared with no pride. Get it out quick so we can get you out quick....not a good motto for a sports bar. Love the concept, but service and food better step up their game...

Surprisingly mediocre. To be fair, I had very high expectations for this place. I've heard a fair share of hype. Some of the hype, however, came from people who never even stepped foot inside --they saw a frequently packed parking lot, and assumed it was a popping place. The atmosphere was nice, but certainly not impressive. It was almost like a minimalist version of TGI Friday's, with one exception... the TVs! This place literally had over a dozen big screen LCD TVs, and that was just in the section I was sitting in! The service was good, but nothing special. I ordered an appetizer for a meal. I got mozzarella sticks, or "Fried Mozzarella," I believe they call it. It was overcooked. They should have pulled it out of the vat 30-45 seconds earlier. However, the tomato dipping sauce was pretty good. My girlfriend and our two friends were satisfied with their food, but none of them were even remotely emphatic about it. Their cups for soft drinks are huge! They were like the size of a small bucket, which I liked. Also to note on the beverage front, they have a surprisingly large variety of beer on tap. The prices were fair. I had the impression it would be a bit pricier than its competitors, but I was wrong. If anything, they may even be a tiny bit cheaper. So, to wrap it up, I was content with my overall experience. The only difference between Miller's and say, TGI Friday's was less items of flair and more TVs. It definitely didn't live up to the hype for me.

We went and sat at the bar for a couple beers and lunch. The selection of beers is really good, but the menu is really blah. My hubby got some wings and calamari, he did enjoy the wings, and he's a big wing connoisseur so I guess they're good. I had the steak sandwich, which as another reviewer said, seemed like it could have been served at a cafeteria. I'd say go here for beers and wings. But don't order a beer that has a rim because they use some kind of weird sugar syrup to keep the rim on and it takes away from the beer and has a gross consistency.

Of the 6 reviews posted when I typed this assessment, 5 of them were from 1st time reviewers & all 5 rated a full 5 Stars. I'm overjoyed that Yelp's filter caught-up with Lisa B's, Felicia P's, Rose F's, Reginald L's & Stan B's highly suspect high praise. On to my experience at Miller's Long Island Ale House, newly opened in Lake Grove on June 3rd. We had just finished a club meeting & were looking for a place to regroup since our current location had been kind enough to play host considerably after their normal hours. A call of Miller's Ale House rang out among the crowd, not many did answer. We few, we happy few, made our trek across the Island to Lake Grove to gather within this newly christened mecca built upon the razed site of the once great Houlihan's. This review is, unfortunately, a bit premature since I typically wait until at least my second visit before I post a compliment or condemnation. However, I feel strongly about two points that I believe cannot wait nor should they due to the apparently false reviews already posted. First, the draft beer selection, while vast, is foreign to those behind the bar. That is to say, they know very little about the difference between each choice other than to offer, "Well, that tap handle is a neon shark and the other is a surfboard." With the great surge in all things craft beer, you would imagine that a franchise with the foresight to build a diverse selection of both local & well-traveled brews would encourage their staff to learn the language of beer or at least seek out one knowledgeable server to be there during busy evenings. This may be the 1st week for Lake Grove but the young man Jonathon that served us was a 5+ year Miller's veteran from their Levittown location. I suspect that at least a portion of the staff is either a temporary or permanent transplant, as well. This cannot be chalked-up to the growing pains of a new establishment. Some styles of beer do fine in a slightly chilled mug while others should be served in room temperature glassware so that all the craft brewers' hard work in achieving certain subtle flavors is not lost to a palate numbed by the overwhelming cold of a beer many degrees below ideal. This is not a "crime" reserved to Miller's but is worth mentioning, no matter how rampant, if you are intrigued by the rather impressive list of choices for a franchise establishment. Also, & this is the more important of the reasons why I felt it necessary to post this review as soon as possible, I ask that you please keep a very close eye on your money. If you are expecting how your typical local hangout works, you will be sadly disappointed. While sitting at the bar, I watch for strangers reaching into my pile but generally feel quite comfortable leaving a few dollars from the change of a larger bill sitting right where it was placed. I had removed my cap upon coming-in from outside & placed it on the bar in front of the chair in which I was sporadically sitting. As happens when there are several friends gathered along the bar, small groups in conversation will fracture-off & we'll often leave our seats to join a few spots away. This should seem quite familiar to anyone that has spent any time in a bar where fine, friendly people gather. This night was no exception & while I walked two spots away from my own seat to adamantly refuse a small heaping helping of ground Scorpion Pepper upon one of the celery sticks served alongside the not-hot-enough-for-my-companions hot wings they were enjoying, one of the servers decided she would help herself to all the cash on the bar placed directly beside my cap by Jonathon when last I bought a drink. This young lady, while invited into our beer versus glassware conversation by her co-worker, had little else to do with us the entire time we spent there. I still can't seem to understand where this young lady might have previously worked where it was okay to touch money from another server's customer unless you are helping-out in refilling an empty glass. She readily admitted she took the money, thankfully, but protested that it was only $2 and thought it was a tip for her. I was having such an enjoyable time that I chose not to pursue it further, simply stating, "It was certainly more than two dollars but that's fine. As long as I know where it went." Now, this was mostly my fault as I had become complacent. I usually only leave a few dollars on the bar anyway but have not had an issue in so long that I was too comfortable in trusting the integrity of others or in expectation of them knowing what I feel is common right versus wrong. I will not be making that mistake again anytime soon thanks to this young lady's reminder. Also, be prepared to pay A LOT for draft beer. Seriously, while most bars factor in tax with their prices so a $7 pint is a $7 pint, not so at Miller's. A serving that's priced at $6.95 will run you over $7.50 once tax is applied.

Went to Miller's in Kissemee in May. Thought is was great. They recently opened one in Lake Grove. I had the blackened prime rib sandwich. I figured I'd give it a try. It was excellent. The place was hopping. The crowd seemed to be a mix of singles and families, the layout of the bar and the seating area allows it to work nicely. My kids loved they choices from the children's menu and the overall service was great.

They had a nice beer selection including some interesting, hard to find beers as well as some local beers like Long Ireland and Blue Point. The place was very busy at 6:00 on a Monday. The wait was 25 minutes for a table. There was a nice selection of food at a decent price. My group had the lobster bisque, seafood Mac and cheese, turkey burger, and chicken fajitas. Everyone was happy with the taste and portion. The one real drawback of the place was the noise level. It was very loud with no dividers or barriers between table, there was quite a din making conversation difficult, and this was on a Monday night. My recommendation would be to try the place for lunch. It might be less busy and a little less noisy. I would certainly not try to go on a Friday or Saturday.

Was really looking forward to trying this place when it opened. I organized a social event for coworkers here and had a great first impression- the staff was great, all very friendly and helpful. They have a fun outdoor area with big screen TVs, couches and a firepit which makes for a real nice setting to sit outside on a nice day and enjoy drinks; however, the food itself is not good. On my first trip I had only tried the nachos which are huuuge and tasty. But on my second trip here with a group of friends, we all ordered dinner and were all disappointed. Nobody enjoyed the food-- except for the guy who ordered the nachos haha. We had a mix of burgers, the chicken philly cheese steak sandwich, fish tacos, etc, none of which were good, and some dishes even came out cold initially (including a side of still-frozen onion rings). I like the ambiance and the staff but would not return for the food.

Four stars for the food, five for the service! We visited the newly opened Miller's this past weekend for father's day. My husband loves the selection of craft beer and the prices for menu items are more than fair. Katie was our server and she did an amazing job. Very attentive and the kind of server you can only hope to have when dining out. We had zingers, key lime salad and a steak and all were done well and presented nicely. The food quality was much better than any Friday's I have been too! I say go if you enjoy craft beer in a lively fun environment!

Good food and pub/sports type atmosphere. Obviously if you go on game nights, weekend peak times you are in for a loud time. (hello...obvious ) Food is good burgers sandwiches etc even desserts are good. Basic drink sizes are large and for those beer drinkers an excellent large selection of beers. Take a go at Millers its a nice time and good food. (You go on peak nights obviously its gonna be loud and things may take a little longer to get, but if you can't figure that out for yourself thats your problem)

I love this place. In my opinion most people that review chain restaurants go in with a negative attitude just because it's a chain and don't actually give an honest review, often trying to find the bad things and not acknowledging the good. I have been here about a dozen times now and can't say I've had a bad meal. Tried most of the apps and they have been very good. Great drink selection with many seasonal beers. I recently had the fish and chips. Chips or fries were average but the fish was better than any I have EVER had. An amazing light crispy crust perfectly fried. I have also had the jambalaya and that to was very good. I'm also very impressed with the service, always friendly.

This place has been incredibly hard to get into, but now that things have slowed down it's much easier to get into. Ask for Ashley V the server, she was the sweetest and very knowledgeable. She was super sweet and because it was our first time she offered us dessert. She gave us honest suggestions and told us the best beers to drink. We love Craft beers and she suggested so many to us! Overall, Miller's is a good place to sit and have a few drinks. I really like the food. Try the Jumbaliya!! Also a few of the managers are very nice!! The prices were so cheap and there are millions of TV's. Also the server told us at night during better weather there are firepits outside even a TV above the fireplace.

This is a good place to grab a good lunch and/or dinner, and of course get some drinks, as long as the bar isn't too overcrowded. Friendly wait staff, great location, and plenty of parking.

Cheap drinks (for LI), laid back vibe, OK food, huge place with a lot of tvs. It's a sports bar. The burgers and sandwiches are decent. The nachos are basically a whole bag of chips with bland chicken and cheese melted on them...probably the least "zesty" nachos I've ever had. Bigger doesn't always equal better. I'm fine with. It's close to where I live.

Great place to watch a sporting event. Great drink specials but the food is pretty terrible. Got sick twice from eating here.

This is a better place than applebees etc. TVs are everywhere and pints on special are only $2.25. When I went Bud and Bud light were the specials even though I figured they would be selling only Miller products cheaply. They have a vegetarian menu as well as a gluten free menu. Everyone thought the food was good and the prices were reasonable. Does get very crowded though. There is a separate bar area as well.

Great sport atmosphere that includes bunch of lil cuties, numerous big screen TV's and greasy bar food! The only downside is the pure fact you will become great friends with your toilet bowl afterwards!

I recently moved in August to Long Island from south Florida. We have a Millers Ale House there so I was super excited to find out it's from the same company. Even more happy to find out they have Rouge Dead Guy Ale (and about 50 others) on tap, my favorite! My boyfriend and I order a pitcher of margaritas (for ten dollars!) and steak fajitas. My fajitas were cooked perfectly to order. After downing tons of food and drinks our bill came out to be rather cheap. Our waitress was super attentive and funny. Will definitely be coming back!

I just don't understand why I can't receive satisfactory service. I, unbeknownst to me, come here quite often and every time, without fail receive such shitty service. I can't get a drink, I have to wait a half hour until my next request for another even though I've been done with my first for over a half an hour. I guess I can only blame myself but avoid Becky- i think her accent is fake. I always tip well btw.

I liked this place, it was not what I was expecting which in this case is a good thing. Miller's is located where the old Houlihan's used to be before it closed and burned down, just south of the Smith Haven Mall. I've been to "alehouses" before with pretty mixed results so I was a little apprehensive, but new restaurants don't open all that often around here so I wanted to check it out for myself. My wife and I arrived and we were seated right away, it was about 1:30PM on a Saturday so it was close to full but we got right in. The restaurant has a very open layout and is divided into two large sections each with a central bar, and there is also outside seating behind the back bar. One thing we couldn't help but notice was the large number of TVs on the walls. There were 17 (we counted) flat screen TVs in our section alone and we estimated about 60 in the whole restaurant. They all had sports on (baseball, soccer, NASCAR, football, the works). I'm not much of a sports fan so this wasn't really a distraction, more of a spectacle to see it all at once. If you have a die hard sports fan in your party, they may be very distracted at Miller's. We also noticed that many of the other tables were families with young children, so the restaurant appeared to very child friendly. We ordered the Chicken Nachos as an appetizer. I had debated ordering this as an entree, but it certainly would have been big enough. In fact, this was quite literally the largest pile of Nachos I've ever seen. It could easily feed 4 people. Seriously, gigantic. My wife had the Zinger Tacos and I had the Grilled Salmon sandwich, both of which were very good but after the huge amount of Nachos, we didn't finish our lunches. I have to say, I ordered the Salmon sandwich because it is something I hadn't seen on a menu before and it tasted great, but in the end I decided that on a Kaiser roll is not the best way to enjoy Salmon. If you want a fish sandwich, try the Cod or Mahi-Mahi, save the Salmon as a fork-and-knife dish.

Beer and bar foods I like miller's - been to the other locations on the island and was looking forward to this place finally opening - and it was worth the wait. The place was bumping with lots and lots of people - I was greeted by a line out the front door to get a table. I bypassed them and was able to score some seats at the bar and my friends all arrived shortly thereafter. Bartenders are all friendly and there were plenty of them that we never had to ask more than once for something. Everyone was genuinely happy to be working there - a nice touch. Miller's has some very decent food at extremely good costs - and we indulged, but not too crazily. We were there more for the Belmont Stakes and just had some finger foods to keep us topped off until we went out later that evening. Prices are great - bartenders are great - the only thing that was an issue was parking- the lots were overflowing and people were parking in the lots of other establishments - so they could really do something with that hopefully. What ya waiting for? Go!

Very clean and very big-and there are more televisions Than you could ever imagine, HOWEVER... I ordered a shmiticks and it was warm and weird tasting. I ordered a turkey burger with Swiss, when it came it was this flat piece of turkey burger on a freshly sliced kaiser roll straight out of stop n shop not even toasted and kind of too moist, like it was sprayed with a light mist. I asked for the Swiss and tomato, the waitress said no problem and came back with melted Swiss and no tomato. I asked for honey mustard and I got a little cup with an imprint of where the top was before it was removed and it was hard like a honey butter-GROSS. Took over five minutes to get the bill once we asked and we waited for a long time for her to clear our plates and tell her to bring the bill. Come here for weird, warm beer, hostesses that wear clothes that are WAY too tight and food that will remind you of your days in grammar school in the cafeteria. Sincerely disappointed that a place would prepare this kind of food.

(2)Patrick S.
(2)Justin M.
(2)Dan R.

(4)Cindy CiCi L.

(3)Riley O.
I grew up down the street from the original Ale House. Everyone knows about it and it's packed every night. This one is just as good. The happy hour is great, food is good, service is good. It's a sports bar so expect it to be busy on big sports nights.
(5)Michele J.
Always a favorite place. Great food fun atmosphere the only downfall is that there are always kids here!!!!!! Isnt it passed their bed time!?!?!
(5)Bobby K.
Danica is so friendly and is the best bartender I have ever had...I come here just for her presence...what a fun scene I love it!
(5)Jay M.
(2)Paige V.
Great prices for a great meal! I hear they also have GREAT happy hour specials/ buckets of beer! But the place gets crowded quick, make sure to get there a little earlier!
(4)YelpBoy Y.
(3)J-P T.
Food is decent, but not spectacular. There is a good beer selection. However, the prices for the beers are outrageous! They were selling some 13oz beers for $9 (like Sculpin, not a particularly alcoholic brew). I rarely find those prices in Manhattan, so why here in Long Island?
(3)Bill S.

(1)Layla S.
Great spot to meet up with bunch of friends. They have a nice outdoor area and decent priced pitchers of beer. Loaded fries are the best!
(5)Rich P.
(3)Douglas S.
(3)Lon G.
NO NO.. NO!! Some of the worst service I've had in a long time at a restaurant. The place would be great for drinks, the bar is terrific- but keep it at that. Or try it and hopefully you will have a better dining experience than my family and I did tonight.
(1)Jennifer M.
(1)Michael L.
Food was mediocre at best, cool atmosphere, however the hour wait to get in just wasn't worth it. Took over an hour to get food, waitress forgot to send our order and had to come back twice. The waitress did offer us a free dessert for the mistake
(3)Colleen S.
Three stars for the service, one for the food. "Cajun" ribeye was bland, overdone, and paper thin. It was also an odd grey color. Calamari was surprisingly good as was the nutter butter pie, but that is about it - from a table of five.
(2)Bob R.

(2)Mish V.
(2)Adam A.
(1)Brian M.
seriously? whoever gave this even 2 stars needs help. if you like plain burgers and nasty fries, well enjoy millers. ooo and if you like lettuce and cheese on your brownie sundae dessert, my gosh you've found a place. what a joke. only reason it gets a star is cuz theres no 0 star! hope this one helped :)
(1)Ralph C.

(5)Michael C.

Lol.

Bad food, terrible. Only reason I would go back there is for one of their two chocolate desserts. That's it! NO STARS!

Go to millers and see dawn the bartender she was not only very attentive but has a great personality

Went last night for Prime Rib night. Awesome prime rib for only $12. Cant beat the prices. And was not as crowded as it often is on the weekends. Will return.

(2)Michael G.

Was that for the Mayweather fight very nice place Staff was friendly and helpful What more can you ask for a Miller's happy
(5)Meaghan M.

Wow, finally a step up in lake grove from Fridays! Our server Teresa really took charge for out large group and made an enjoyable memory. This place is definitely in my favorites bar!
(5)Robert E.

(4)Kat R.
(3)Jar G.
Great food! There was an hour wait which is why the 4 star review but if you go to the bar have some drinks and order an appetizer there, time flies by!
(4)Ruchika M.
(2)Genny S.
(5)Rick J.

Great food, okay service, decent prices. Very clean and the sweet thai chili wings are awesome.

Service very slow. Not the waitress fault- just not enough of them to work with the many tables.
