Once again outstanding. Had cousins in from out of town plus my husband and of course our pup:-) Gorgeous view, friendly service and water for our dog. I love that my husband can enjoy a burger and I can have fresh fish over their special chopped avocado salad. I must say I love when you come in and they remember your name and what you like. SERVICE in a tourists town. Love this place

I was not wowed by Miramar. The food and service both were pretty mediocre, especially given the prices (not horrendous, but a little high). Very slow - it took forever for the food to come out, and then again to get the check. My food was ok: I ordered the vegetable kebabs, which came with a nice pile of quinoa. It was fine, and the vegetables were grilled nicely, but the quinoa was a little bland. I'm a vegetarian, but it's possible that the seafood is a lot better-- it IS more what they're known for. The rest of my party didn't seem super impressed by their food either, though. By far the best part of the restaurant is the view. It's beautiful! Right on the water, and big windows that take advantage of it. It's lovely having dinner and seeing boats go by in the background.

I went here for lunch with some coworkers. it's a great spot to eat outdoors. The views are lovely and the wait staff is friendly and quick. We had no problem getting in and out within an hour. The food was good, but nothing too memorable. I had the chicken kabob sandwich. I liked the sauce and everything was seasoned well, but it wasn't anything to write home about. Their fries looked really good though. I didn't get a chance to try them, but will probably get them if I go back.

Shrimp scampi was bland. Ended up adding butter, salt, and pepper to make it more palatable. Shrimp were overcooked and tasted old. French bread was served before the meal came out for free, but it wasn't anything special. Staff did not evoke excitement.

I'm not one to hold a grudge so today my family and I decided to give Miramar another chance and am pleased to say we had a great experience. They have obviously improved their service and the operation of the restaurant and as a local resident I'm pleased to say it's now a neighborhood restaurant that I will gladly return to with my family and friends. They have a superb menu, a world class view of the Statue of Liberty and now with warm hospitality and improved service it's a place I can recommend with confidence. I encourage everyone to visit - often. Thank you to our friends at Miramar for a lovely dinner. Will see you again soon.

Wanted to eat at that pace but after seeing how the staff treats people change my mind. Everyone who check the menu and wanted to see what other places can offer they call names and F-word. One person wanted to use the bathroom and they told him that he needs to buy something before. Waiters pushing customers to order food that is to much and they never finish it. Manager or whoever that person was sees everything and just encourage waiters to do what they do. Bottom line, save your money and time and go to another place. Very bad place.

Excellent food. And what a view! You can see Lady Liberty from their patio. Great service. We went there for my mom's birthday and they let us sit for hours just talking. The interior deserves an extra mention here too. The kind of place where they make you feel comfortably elegant.

I ordered a pear salad with vinaigrette dressing, which was sadly very bland....I mean I know it's just salad but I like salad and I usually wolf it down when it tastes good! This restaurant is excellent for the views of the waterfront and people watching but not so great for the food. The staff were very nice and friendly and I really wish I could say more nice things about the place, but I can't about the food. Maybe, if I'm at this restaurant again I will try a more popular dish and update my review with more stars....

A premier and reasonably priced restaurant in battery park. Miramar's fresh seafood is only outmatched by its world class customer service. I recommend the Boat- a seafood/shellfish medley that is as pleasant to look at as it is delicious to devour. This dining experience receives a two thumbs up. Can't wait to go back.

Great view and the most pleasant service. Owners gave us a dish to try (sepia) for free. Scallops were excellent and cooked perfectly. Portion sizes generous. Overall great experience!

We went here on a perfect evening in early June. The wait staff was very friendly and our waiter Leo paid very close attention to details. We wanted to share a plate for an app and when it was brought to our table,it was on two separate plates without being asked at no "sharing charge ". The food was very good and the ambiance was excellent.waterfront over looking the Statue of Liberty. Couldn't ask for a better evening. Highly recommended.

Excellent food and excellent service. Family owned restaurant on the water, prime location. We ordered the scallops and chicken/beef kabob for lunch, I highly recommend those options and this place!

Awesome restaurant, mom and pop owners. Hummus is great. Beautiful views.

Seemed like a family-run place with okay service. Wasn't a big fan of the seafood salad -- bland and a little too slimy. The crab stuffed shrimp was pretty alright, but nothing mind blowing.

This was our best meal yet! Beautiful view, excellent service, and delicious food. When the hostess learned we were only here for a week, she could have thought, no return business. Instead, she offered us dessert! House made cheesecake and rich, chocolate shell ice cream!! We were so full from dinner, but found a way to eat it all! Perfect ending to our NY trip.

My fiancé and I stumbled upon this amazing place! For an appetizer we had the Tuna Tartar (amazing!) and oysters. For a main course, I just ordered the Avocado salad and had salmon added to it - super yummy! My fiancé had the Ahi tuna burger, which he enjoyed very much. We can't wait to go back. The man that waited on us was fantastic too! Truly a great experience all around.

Hands down one of the best meals I've ever had in my life. It is by far the best seafood restaurant in lower manhattan, if not the entire city. My friends and I ordered the seafood boat, which was an unreal experience. All of the shellfish were fresh and delicious. I had swordfish over claims and rice for my meal, it was absolutely incredible. The menu is great. Great specials, great appetizers and salads. Endless options. It's also great to bring a date to because of its amazing location. Right on the water in battery park. Great place to go for a walk before or after dinner. I highly recommend it. Definitely my go to spot from now on.

Just enjoyed a terrific meal with my kids. I had the grouper special, served with shellfish over linguini, which was well prepared, not over cooked as would be typical in so many places. My daughter had the stuffed artichoke pasta and son had the stuffed chicken breast. I realize none of these are intense fine dining selections, but they all were delicious, and served with a professional and pleasant approach. This is my third time at Miramar, & I am happy to recommend it

Everything on the menu at lunch was desirable, and everything that we ordered was excellent. I personally had the cajun shrimp wrap with fries and a couple of cold coronas. The shrimp wrap was exactly what I wanted. Service was impeccable. We were given stellar service by a young man named Sharif. He was quite possibly the most efficient waiter I have come across in years. He never missed a beat with our several spontaneous demands, and kept coming back to the table to check on us quite often, so we kept him busy. Service with a smile at all times. Some of the dishes we ordered included the: tuna tartare, which was fresh, the avocado salad, which was crisp and very fresh, and a meat dish that was unbelievable. We sat outside, enjoyed the day, the great service and some delicious food. The 5 stars is really for the exceptional service that we received.

We loved everything we ordered. Best grilled octopus since we were in Greece! We ordered mezze platter with falafel, humus, tabouli and baba ghanoush. We also ordered mussels and a seafood dish. Very good! The atmosphere is stylish and there is a great view. Will come back.

Great evening! Live music tonight. Saxophone and singing!! The food was great. Mediterranean mezze to start of course. Very very nice as last time! Then mixed grilled kehbab and whole dorado. Tasty and delicious. We'll be back !

My friend Naglaa Mohamed owns this restaurant with her uncle. She recommended Miramar to me over a year ago but I finally got a chance to try it this Winter. I had a very nice dining experience! The food is good and service is laid back and nice. I will certainly go there again with my friends.

I had a very solidly good experience here. Went here after touring the Statue of Liberty with family, all of whom were from out of town and/or out of the country. We chose it because it was the first place we saw along the water between the Statue Ferry and the NY Waterway Ferry from World Financial Center. I was with my mom, brother in law, his boss and boss's wife, and my bro in law's mom and friend. Because of the reviews and mixed crowd, I was a little nervous to try this place, but my doubts were quickly settled. We enjoyed their lunch. There was no "brunch menu" but they had brunch like specials such as an omelet. I was worried about this place because the reviews were so bad, but I quickly realized others must have experienced the kinks of a new restaurant. Our server was polite and efficient. We were in no hurry, but I never felt as if anything took too long to come out. The meal began with excellent bread: large slices with soft insides and crusty hard outside. It was served with butter and a pesto dipping sauce, which tasted good and was aesthetically a great idea. Extra compliments for NOT making it too garlicky or too salty! I want to take a moment to mention that the decor inside is really pretty. Grecian blue walls accented by creamy whites with gorgeous and fun blue-jeweled chandeliers. Outdoor seating was ample, shielded from the street and looked over the Hudson. Back to the food... I had a chicken florentine panini. It was served with sun dried tomato purée and spinach and ricotta. It was really great but could have had a bit more spinach (although I can never have too many veggies!). The ricotta was refreshing and not salty (big plus for me). The panini bread was also perfectly toasted so it was warm, crispy and had nice grill lines on the outside.. It was served with salad greens that were dressed in a simple oil/vinegar that was well balanced. Others in my party had some of the seafood dishes. I didn't try them but they looked and smelled fantastic, especially the scallops and calamari. My only regret was I didn't try the soup! It was kind of pricey so I figured it must be served in an entree sized bowl. I saw another customer get chicken noodle, and the portion looked HUGE! Like personal crock pot size huge ... But it looked and smelled great. Maybe they can start offering a "cup" size that would be less expensive and less filling as an appetizer. A bowl cost $10 and was the reason I didn't order it. Only complaint was the prices were a little high; however, you are paying for some high end real estate on the Hudson. A very minor complaint. Over all, I had an enjoyable experience. I felt the service was more than adequate. The food was solidly good. No errors on the orders. This would be a great choice for anyone coming off the tour boats, ferries or looking for a good meal with a view near World Financial Center.

We're regulars here and it's always the same experience... Delicious food, amazingly friendly service and the best view in New York City!

This place rocks. Grilled octopus and scallops were perfect. Miramar burger was just plain awesome! Nice place to go after a trip to Lady Liberty!

My friend & I visited this restaurant all the time! When it's warm we sit outside overlooking the water, NJ & Statue of Liberty. The best sunsets ever! The staff is very nice. They handle food allergies well. The food is delicious! The restaurant is soo beautiful inside! It takes you away from the hustle & bustle of the city to a beautiful beach in Greece! I can't wait to go back when the weather is warmer!
(5)Brittany D.
The view was really great. The seating and the table clothes weren't very nice and seemed a little dirty and the chairs were uncomfortable. The food made up for it though. The crab cakes were delicious.. The penne vodka was tasty. The service was also super slow but friendly. I would go recommend it for sure.

We headed down to Miramar Mediterranean for lunch this past Saturday...here are my thoughts: Ambiance: This restaurant is located right on the river and had beautiful views! The restaurant itself is clean and the décor is modern. The place was nearly empty at lunch, maybe due to the freezing temps ? Service: Servers were attentive. Food did not come out quickly, which was okay, just something to be aware of. Food: There were hits and misses: -- Crab Cakes - Order this. They were DELICIOUS. -- Greek Salad - I found a hair after a bite or two and the restaurant took it away and removed it from our biIl. I didn't order a replacement because it was very plain and had no taste. For $12 this salad was overpriced. -- Hamburger - This was enormous and my daughter finished a good portion of it - pretty sure she liked it. -- Chicken Kabob - Nicely presented and my husband ate it with no complains. -- Complimentary Bread - Delicious. -- Complimentary Chocolate Chip Cake - Very nice of the restaurant to provide dessert at no charge. The cake was quite tasty. Bottom Line: If we are in the area again I think we'll probably return. I just hope we don't encounter any stray hairs again...

3 star reviews get a bad rap. This is a positive 3-star review. I promise. Miramar is in a great waterside location in Battery Park City. The ambiance is upscale but approachable. My kind of place. But service is SLOW. Maybe they're just trying to give diners the most authentic Mediterranean dining experience possible. This was glacial, European-style service. Thankfully, I was with good company, providing good conversation, with a good view of a beautiful sunset. The slow pace didn't kill me. The same can't be said for the table next to ours, who had a meltdown because everyone at the table received their meals and finished eating before the 5th person's food arrived. Awkward dining tension! Yelling! Fun! The wine was nicely chilled. The food was tasty. It was a nice evening. But you don't get 4 stars out of me with service like we received. I'll happily return some day, but unless Miramar picks up the pace in a big way, a solid 3-star restaurant they'll remain.

I've been craving seafood for a good time now and Miramar seemed to be the perfect place to satisfy my relentless craving; it's known for their seafood linguini, it's by the water, yelp allows me to save 20%, how perfect could it be? Well, after going there I thought otherwise.. My boyfriend and I came here tonight in hopes of trying their famous seafood linguini. We ordered two plates, costing 60$ total and I'm not going to lie, the servings were HUGE. I ordered mine spicy while my boyfriend got his mild. In the description it said the linguini was served in a tomato broth with shrimp, mussel, clams, calamari and scallops. I normally do not really like ordering pasta dishes because it seems very flavorless to me, but the thought of all those seafoods in one plate encouraged me to give it a go. Before our entree, we received bread with butter. The bread tasted stale in my opinion and cold at that, I did not enjoy it. After maybe a ten minute wait, not even, we received our meal. Huge bowls of pasta in a light red sauce, I was very excited to take the first bite but to my surprise .. I was extremely disappointed. I thought the sauce tasted like watered down ketchup and the seafood seemed to smell a bit fishy. Even though it seemed to be cooked perfectly, I thought the dish was very bland overall. I was surprised as to how spicy my bowl was though. Normally when you tell your waiter that you want your food to be spicy, it's never really as spicy as you think it is. This bowl however was extremely hot, speckled with red pepper flakes on top, I had water literally dripping down my nose at one point. I am used to spice though so believe it or not, I did not mind it. I think the spice actually helped me eat as much as I did. I couldn't finish it all though, aside from the bland taste, I felt like the portions were extremely big for one seating. I opted to take my meal home instead, but now that I am home I have noticed that the food did not sit right with me. My stomach has been hurting for about an hour now, I am not sure of the cause. Maybe it was the spice or perhaps even the seafood, but I did not think this was a good experience for me at all. On a more positive note though, I really did like the restaurant's service. My waiter was a total sweetheart, he was very sweet and attentive. Even though the place was kind of busy tonight, he made sure to stop by and check up on our food whenever he could and ask if everything was okay. Not only that, but the owner seemed very sweet too. She came up to us to ask if the food was okay, which I appreciated very much. I also liked the fact that the menu catered to vegetarian eaters as well, that was very considerate of them since a lot of restaurants seem to forget about the non meat eating customers nowadays. Overall though, I think the service was awesome and so was the ambiance. Sitting by the water was very nice and felt pretty romantic, making it a really nice restaurant to take a date on. Only downfall like I said was probably the food, first impression was not very good but I wouldn't mind coming back here to try something else another time. Maybe the pasta dish was not my cup of tea? Who knows.

Would not recommend. Three essential reasons: bad service, sketchy way of running business, and mediocre/tasteless food. While the restaurant offers an awesome view of the river and Statue of Liberty, I would not recommended anyone with sophisticated taste buds to dine here. I was craving for Mediterranean food, and my friend and I were in the area. We shared: - stuffed calamari with crabmeat: Ick. The calamari was super chewy and not cooked well. The crabmeat didn't taste very fresh. I wouldn't be surprised if I wake up with a stomach flu tomorrow morning. The salad that came with it was tastier than the calamari. Very disappointed. - eggplant Napoleon: sounds interesting and delicious (ricotta cheese, mozzarella, tomato sauce), but literally has no flavor. You can't even spoon the tomato sauce onto the eggplant. Also, the eggplant was so small. This dish cost $12, but should be priced at $9 or under. - avocado salad: should be called "mixed greens with avocado on the side." The avocado was tasty and were the grilled bell peppers, but I could've easily made this myself at home. Nothing special. So, if you check in on Yelp, you can receive 20% off your check. I didn't show our waiter (who also wasn't very friendly, never smiled or came to check in on us or take away our finished plates) until he brought out the check. The new check had a "service charge" on it. Wtf!? We're a party of two, and I had assumed that they added the service charge so we don't have the choice to tip on the post-discount amount. Still, if that were the case, that's sketchy. I brought this to the attention to our waiter, who seemed offended for some odd reason and hastily (yet nervously) said that they add the service charge for everyone and that it's their policy. Well, if that's your policy, you should disclose that on the menu... Even then, it doesn't make sense to add an automatic service charge for a party of two. We told him that there was no added service charge on the original receipt. He repeated that it's their policy blah blah blah, and acted like we were crazy and that there was an added charge. He quickly left our table with the attitude "deal with it yourself". Five minutes later, he brings over the manager, who said to us "oh, he must've thought you were tourists. We add an automatic service charge for the tourists because they usually never leave a tip." Umm...wtf. That's gotta be illegal, especially if you don't disclose it, right? Pretty damn sketchy if you ask me. Then he gives in and says that he will take out the service charge and asked me how much I wanted to put on the card. I told him that I will give the tip when I sign the receipt, and I could tell that he didn't like to hear that. Anyway, bottom line: this place is a scam and tourist trap. The food is bland, service is poor, and the prices are outrageous for what you get.

Passing by Battery Park and saw the Yelpers' reviews. Decided to try out the seafood pasta and burger. Burger was mediocre but seafood pasta was delicious.

I had dinner here on Saturday before heading to the One World Observatory at 7pm. We sat outside since it was a beautiful day. I got the Capellini Mareotto and my boyfriend got Miramar Mediterranean Grilled Whole Fish. My dish was absolutely amazing with the angel hair. The seating was great and the service was attentive. This is a great place to have dinner if you're planning to head over to the One World Observatory (10 mins walk). You can also get 20% off your meal if you check in on Yelp!

I went to Miramar a couple of times and was always really well attended. Already tried a couple of dishes and I extremely recommend the Tilapia almodine and the Miramar Seafood Salad. The food is really good and the prices are pretty fair for the area. They all combined with the park environment creates a great atmosphere for lunches or dinners. Otherwise the last time I went we didn't had a good experience not because of the food or service. At the bill they included an additional tax (on addition of the sales tax) that they called "service charge" of around 17% of the total check or $ 21 amount. We asked them and they mentioned that this was not the tip for the service but a charge for maintaining the Battery Park. A quick research was enough to lead us to understand that this was not any park maintenance charge. Anyway, if you are going to this place pay attention on your bill. 4 stars for the food and service. 0 stars for adding unknown taxes on the bill. 2 stars on average.

Had lunch there again after a bike ride along the Hudson. Delicious salad nicoise (they call it Mediterranean tuna salad). My friend had a panini with a salad. Good service, great view of the Hudson, New York Bay and people watching.

I am reluctant to write this glowing review because I am concerned that it will attract all the loud, inconsiderate, scene searching types who are looking for locations by which they can perform adulthood for themselves--and anyone else they can get to watch. As such, this restaurant is one of Manhattan's best kept secrets. It offers excellent service, excellent seafood (and other plates) with a Mediterranean flair. They make great drinks as well ( ask to try their grapefruit margarita).I think it is entirely unfair for a previous reviewer here to post a 2 star review based on a salad. Over the last three years that my partner and I have been dining here, we have experienced consistent quality food and service. The owners and staff all work very hard to do so--all overlooking the scenic NY Harbor. Whenever we need to feel like we "have to get away from it all" and pretend we're somewhere near to Mediterranean Sea, we go to Miramar. No passports required.
(5)Ellen F.
The view is beautiful and the service was great. I enjoyed the tuna tartar and cod special. My friend enjoyed her ravioli dish as well. The servers are helpful and attentive. This is a great place to go have a Rosé on a lovely summer evening.

Really nice place right near the water with excellent seafood. My wife and I split a seafood fra diavolo (with a whole lobster and linguini) that was fresh and delicious. I'm not sure if it is on the menu - we just asked the waiter if he could make that for us and he said yes We also split a beet salad - yummy The service was very good. We'll be back!

Great location, right by water and bike path. Good is great. I got the seafood rice and Greek salad. Both delicious. If going to Statue of Liberty it is minutes from Bryant park walking. Would come again.
