I cannot believe this Binghamton institution has no reviews yet! Good breakfasts, like the gyro omelette. Cheap, cheap dinners, some of them pretty OK given what they cost. I have been coming here for 30 years, on and off, when visiting my dad in Binghamton, and it has never changed. Nothing like a good, cheap breakfast, a regular coffee and the paper to get you moving.

We needed something good, quick, and cheap on our way home. What a find! We will make this a regular stopping point!

Not super cheap as mentioned on some of the other reviews. I had the standard 2 eggs 1 sausage toasts coffee n small juice -- cam up $7. Regular diner food nothing special. On greasy side actually. Service was quick.

This diner has a very classic feel to it, with decent prices and a lot of food. The food itself tastes pretty good, although some things are better than others. The coffee is weak, and they only accept cash. However, this place had me coming out satisfied, so it gets four stars from me, a surprise considering the area.

3.5 stars because of the dirt cheap price. Perfect hangover recovery food. I love the corned beef hash here and it's super cheap with a sizable portion. The homefries are also cheap to add on, barely cost you a dollar, along with the free toast and some pancakes. Two things that turn me off about this place is the handling of the food. I saw one waitress rearrange the toast before she brought it to the table with her BARE hands. She then proceeded to wipe her hands on her apron. Another thing is that this diner is not 24/7 and they only take cash.

Old school diner plain and simple. I stopped by for breakfast and thought I went back in time 40 years when I walked through the door. I was promptly greeted and seated at the counter since I was eating solo. The place was packed at the tables. I ordered 2 pancakes and 2 scrambled eggs. Bill came to $3.75. $3.75 are kidding me? Food was good and the price was amazingly low. I can see this being a go to place for BU students living downtown on a Saturday or Sunday morning after a night of fun. If you're downtown run, don't walk to eat at Rolando's.

Cash only! A little old school place in the Binghamton downtown area. The setup inside is that of a typical diner. Some booths and counter seating area. It also appears to have the original old school sign outside...which is, admit it, kinda cool. The service was really good. We went here during the Spiedie fest and had breakfast. There was only one waitress on working the entire place...and she owned it like a boss. The food was good diner type food. The pancakes were fat and fluffy (like my husband), coffee was hot and fresh, bacon was cooked just like I like it! But most importantly the prices are cheap! Whether you are in town for an event or there for college give this place a try!

The best place in Binghamton to eat at for food like your mom cooks with great prices, feels like you're sitting in your house

Small town diner with lots of locals. Had the pancakes and eggs. Wife had the scrambled eggs with toast and hash browns. Coffee and tea. Couldn't believe my eyes when the bill came. $9.10. Insanely cheap.

This place is my favorite place in Binghamton to get breakfast. Great food for a cheap price!

Only been here once, but the food was delicious and the price was cheap. I'll definitely go back. Cash only. Try the kielbasa omelette, it's great.

pretty solid diner. my first experience here was 3 years ago when i went in the afternoon. the place was empty so i thought the place was struggling. well i started going here for breakfast i can now say that's clearly not the case! the few times i went the place has been almost full. the first time i went i got the texas hots. they were pretty good but nothing mind blowing. as far as lunch/dinner food the only other thing i've had was their fried chicken, which is actually really good but i know it's not homemade, i've had the same exact chicken at 2 other places locally that have since gone out of business. the chicken is pretty small but very flavorful. i got fries with it that were ok and the mac salad i got was also just ok. breakfast is where this place really shines. pancakes and french toast are both pretty good, they use nice thick bread for the FT. good home fries but the bacon they use could be a little better. the place has a nice cozy vibe to it and the waitresses are pretty friendly, which seems like it'd be a hard thing for them to pull off since they're always so busy! this place is cash only, so come prepared, but definitely come because this place is worth checking out

Awesome diner. Nice relaxed atmosphere and you won't find a place that'd cheaper. Is cash only. Never have spent over 5 bucks there and gotten a great breakfast

Rolando's serves one of the best breakfasts ever at Binghamton. The cost is also very friendly especially for the college students in the area. I would rather go to Rolando's than eat at the dining halls or any where else in that case. Your service is also very friendly and I would definitely keep coming back.

This is by far my favorite diner in Binghamton. It's my go-to Sunday morning spot. So reasonably priced especially since I'm originally from LI and I'm used to paying $11 for an omlette. Great service and great prices.

Basic but excellent diner food. Even the coffee is great, not the weak stuff you usually find at diners. French toast may be the best in Binghamton. I've lived in this area for all my life... Can't believe it took me this long to discover Rolando's!

If you have at least enough age on you to remember Milton's a few doors down, and the supermarket across the street, you already know of Rolando's. Of the few places unchanged, Rolando and his staff have held strong for years. Equidistant to Binghamton Public Library and Security Mutual corporate headquarters is this long-standing gem. Expect to be catered to: From smooth milkshakes, to daily specials, to quality meals, you will enjoy. Many people who live downtown, or have Corporate jobs here, enjoy Rolando's daily. Yes, Rolando keeps up with the times: Their new website is rolandosdiner.com ; but, go for it offline when you can. Affordability is paramount here. Lawrence Weinzimer

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
