I Love love LOVE their salads! It's a great place to eat. Better than Chili's or TGIF.

I've not been to Applebees in 15 years probably. There is a store about 1 mile from my house, that I have never visited. Today, July 17, 2013, my roommate and I decided to head there for lunch. I was hesitant, because I just never liked the food much in the past. Small portions, huge plates, etc. Today, it was a good experience. Our server showing up was a bit slow, but she was there for us when we needed her. We both had the bacon cheeseburger w/ fries. The burger was really well constructed, and the fries were good, too. No complaints about the food. The one hiccup I had with the store is the music. It was too loud, especially at noon when at least 50% of the tables that had people in them were people over 60 years old. Second, the speakers were horrible. They were blown out or just cheap (despite the Bose emblem on them). It was distorted, distracting, and unnecessary. Turn it up at dinner time - understood. But at lunch, where your crowd (at least in this area) are golden years suburbanites, change it up a bit, turn it down, and change out some crappy speakers (namely in the section to the left when you walk in, along the windows on the west side). I'm giving it 3 stars because of the loud music, but mainly because I've not been there much at all in the past 15 years, so my experience(s) is/are next to none sans today's visit. I've listed the price range as cheap because our burgers were $9.79 w/ fries, no including drinks or tax or tip. Entrees are a bit more, but not over $20 (approx).

I took myself out to lunch yesterday. I was thinking a sub but thought hmm I have never been to APPLEBEE'S for lunch maybe I will try and see what their lunch menu looks like. I was seated quickly, and the hostess stated that my server would be with me shortly. My ONLY complaint which I am not docking in my review took a few minutes more than I would have liked. After looking over the menu I decided on a burger and if you like burgers man you are going to enjoy yourself. I was informed there are two options on the how it is cooked, (PINK or NO PINK). I do not like my burgers well done so I said I would like mine pink. The burger was cooked perfectly and was complemented by the SAMUEL ADAMS COLD SNAP I ordered. My server checked on me a couple of times to see if I needed anything. I truly enjoyed my lunch and will certainly be back for lunch again.

Traveling and stopped here for a quick dinner at the bar. Service was okay, but food was a great disappointment. Had the sizzling steak/chicken combo plate which was cold and tough. Didn't even touch the steak, but the server never asked if I liked it or not. I guess they really didn't care- tells you a bit about the service. Busy restaurant and in need of facility updates- bar area a bit musty smell of stale beer. Won't return here for sure.

i have heard this place called Craplebees in the past and not wanting to experience the crap i have stayed away. my exhusband worked for one many moons ago and said that their food was really sub-par so i have stayed away. it is a chain. so i have stayed away. but. today i had lunch with my new boss here as my Welcome to work lunch. and i was pleasantly surprised. it really isn't all that much crap. the service was great. our server was very nice and attentive. the food offerings on the menu were quite typical of a chain but still surprising. they had a pecan encrusted chicken salad that kathy had that sounded (and according to her, tasted) quite yummy. and i had an oriental chicken salad that too was nice. the dressing was light and not poured on aggressively. and i was offered more if i wanted. all in all, i would say that it isn't Totally Crap. and i would go back. (of course 5 guys is in the same plaza so it would have to be special circumstances but...) better than TGIF and it's ilk. yay for not getting 2 stars.

I ate here a few days ago with my grandmother and I loved it. The waiter was very nice and constantly checked on us. I had the boneless wings with Asian sauce and they were delicious. We also had the Cedar grilled lemon chicken and it was good as well. The portion size was definitely small. We usually get Carry-Out but we dined-in this time because we wondered if the portions were larger if you dined-in and they weren't.

I am writing this because of the excellent service we received today. I wish I was better at remembering names.... But the waitress spoke to the manager about the long wait for our food. (And we never even complained). The manager informed us that they were taking our burgers off the check. Now to review the food.... My dad loved his Blackened Tilapia and the potatoes that came with it were delicious! My mom and I both had a burger and enjoyed them very much! Yes we will go back agin when we are in the area

My boyfriend got the quesadilla burger, but where was the patty? They put a slider on it, so it was all tortilla. He told the waiter and when he received a new one, it was the right size this time. Thanks for trying to rip people off. Our waiter was very friendly and had no problem getting him another one, it wasn't his fault. My kiwi margarita was spot on, and my turkey with avocado sandwich wasn't too bad, but you could tell the meat was precooked.

Awful. Just awful. My friend and I chose to meet and eat here. The girl at the front door was a complete ditz and was unaware of anything going on around her. Our waiter was not friendly and unable to interact appropriately. My friend ordered a lemonade. Ten minutes later he had to ask where his lemonade was. He ordered the quesadilla burger; he said it was average at best. Also, the fries were very salty. I got the three cheese chicken penne; what a joke. You would be better off zapping some Barilla in the microwave. The chicken is precooked; if you want to eat leather you'll love it. I asked the waiter of the chicken was supposed to be freezing, and he was unable to answer the question. He took it back to microwave it for me. This place is awful; go to Red Robin or Pepper Jacks in Albany. Don't waste your money here.

I'll be clear: I do not like Applebee's at all. It is my absolute least favorite chain restaurant. That said, this location actually makes other Applebees look halfway decent. This place is DIRTY. Coming there for food in the mid-afternoon, the table we were sat at hadn't been wiped down properly, the floors looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a week, and the sound system (a speaker was right above us) was horrible and made crackling sounds the whole time. The only part I ever like about this place is the appetizers. I will eat anything with cheese in it, and the brew pub pretzels and the potato twisters are right up my alley. That said, with both those dishes you run out of pretzels or potato twisters waaay before you run out of the cheese dip that comes with it. I had the creamy parmesan chicken. The "mushroom rice pilaf" was just a bunch of overcooked rice, large chunks of undercooked onion, and like three mushroom slices. The chicken was overcooked and completely tasteless. Service was lackluster. The inattentive waitress was pretty sullen and unfriendly...she looked like she was as miserable being there as I was. Avoid this place if at all possible.

I only go to this Applebee's on Wednesday nights for Trivia, which I think is a nice fun offering that they have. They have great specials on Trivia night - some of which are typical of any weeknight - like half priced apps after 9 - and certain drink specials. The food can be hit or miss. Portion sizes are not always even from week to week on things as simple as how much fries you get with your dish. Most servers are very good - typically you see the same servers for Trivia - usually now we have one waitress, Sarah - who is fantastic - takes care of anything and everything you need.

Worst Applebee's ever. Have had decent meals other locations. Will not return here. Over cooked (microwave) and yet cold food served by an indifferent waitress for an outragous price. Nope... never again.

Terrible location. Love Applebee's. The chain has come a long way by modernizing locations and menus. This location was modernized but not managed. Took 5 minutes to be greeted at the door. 5 minutes to have drink order taken. 5 minutes to receive drinks and order. I ordered a soup and salad and requested to start with the soup. 15 minutes pass. No soup. I reminded the waitress that I wanted to start with the soup. She said OK. Then she goes to the computer and rings in the soup and immediately goes to kitchen to retrieve it. So she forgot, and voila, salads come out after that. Drinks remained empty the entire meal with no visit. from waitress. Entire dining experience was over an hour. It appeared that no management was in sight. I will continue to be a loyal customer, but never at this location.
