Nice people, clean and cute store front! I'm not a fan of the icing but that's on me, not them. I tend to like better crocker icing and this was home made. Still was good! Went in hoping for a red velvet but they were out. Got an oreo cupcake instead and was not disappointed! I don't usually like bakery cupcakes and while these weren't my mom's cupcakes, I'll be returning for that red velvet :)

I have been meaning to go here since I'm a local with a serious sweet tooth and finally got around to it today. It is very cute inside! It has a pink decor with polka dot seats and a few tables. They have a case with all different flavors. The cheerful woman behind the counter asked if I've been here before and explained the new flavors they had; I thought the fact that they had someone who talks to customers rather than the usual greeting and standing around was nice. I tried the Samoa cupcake which had a very sweet filling with chocolate icing and half of a Samoa cookie dipped in. You can tell they put effort into the decorating and contrary to some reviews, I don't think the icing or the cake was dry or stale at all. The very outside of the icing dries out but it doesn't effect the middle; this is just what happens when the icing is exposed to air (it's science, not the business practices) and I think people who are used to eating preservative laden mass produced baked goods just aren't used to this. Overall, I was happy to support a small business in my community and will be a repeat customer!

My first time eating these cupcakes and so far they are fantastic. Moist with soft buttercream. I absolutly love the fillings in addition to the frosting, and the combinations and variety are great. Definatly recomend!!

First i'd like to say thank you for turning a Mother's Day into something yummy! All of the cupcakes were delicious and tasted fresh. They were the right size for everyone at the right price. LOVED the different decorations on all of the cupcakes (everyone loved the cookie dough). The decor was cute; suitable for a cupcake shop and the staff is VERY friendly. All greeted me at the door, i liked that. Once again a big hit for everyone. Thank you Cupcake Girlz! I'll definitely spread the good word.

Well, I stopped in again, and decided it's time to update my review. I went in for my favorite crumb cake, and sadly, they didn't have any. The owner then recommended a muffin that was quite similar. Like their cupcakes, it was dry but tasty. I was just so impressed with how friendly and accommodating she was. Thia place has such potential, I just think they need to tweak sometime in the cooking process. Let's face it, no cupcake is "horrible". It has a good foundation, just needs some moisture.

The 2 times I have been here I'm not impressed. The cupcakes were dry, and a bit stale? They tasted like they were sitting around, and the icing was hardened up giving the overall texture a forgettable taste. The display inside the store is mildly awkward as well with no menu or selection visible, just small cards that appear to be printed on a home computer to label the items in the case. If I happen to go here again, I'll go as soon as they open to see if all the goods are fresh first thing in the morning, or if they carry over the cupcakes from the previous day. Such a shame going there with high expectations, since its the only cupcake specialty place in the surrounding area, one would think that it would be serving awesome cupcakes.

Not sure what's up with all the negative (filtered) reviews. I've been to Cupcake Girlz a couple of times and while I'll grant that they're not the best cupcakes I've ever had, they're certainly far from the worst. A lot of other reviews claim that they're too dry and crumbly and seemingly stale, but I've never experienced that. I prefer my cupcakes moist so I'm usually pretty picky about texture and these really aren't any drier than the average store-bought cupcake. Aside from that, I love how many flavor options there are and the fact that some of the cupcakes have fillings - the cookie dough is especially good! Their snickerdoodles and chocolate chip cookies are tasty, too. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the coffee, but even that's not bad. And the pricing is totally reasonable for a shop like this - $3 or $3.25 for a cupcake is pretty normal, if not below-average, in my experience. I'll keep coming back.
