I don't know if I didn't get the best slice or what, but when I ordered a slice of pepperoni, the guy put on a few slices of pepperoni and maybe warmed up the thing for 90 seconds. When I ate it, the first thing that struck me was the creaminess of the cheese. That, and the sweetness of the sauce made it almost cloying. Finally, the dough seemed undercooked, or there was so much sauce that it made the crust kind of soggy and undercooked-like. It wasn't the best slice I've had. It's still pizza. I'm willing to give em another chance.

I've been enjoying King's Pizza for years from their original location on the corner to the new location across the street. I order a pie well done on Fridays when I don't feel like cooking or I stop in when craving a slice. They've been a neighborhood staple and I'm glad they haven't lost their presence with all the "newcomers" to the hood. Classic, traditional NY pizza and that's saying a lot from a New Yorker. I do love brick oven, thin crust, fancy topping, etc etc pizza too but when I want a good ol' slice - it's always King's!

I love pizza. I used to like King's Pizza. When they were the only pizza place in my neighborhood. Now that there is Nice Pizza on Franklin, that new wood burning oven pizza place on Fulton across from Met Food & Rocco's also on Franklin there isn't any reason to go to King's. Those other joints have great pizza. King's is just ok pizza. I order it for the kids. Whudda they know? But if I'm eating pizza, and I eat pizza a lot, I get it from one of those other three places near me.

Haven't had the pizza yet, but the eggplant parm (with ziti and extra sauce) & garlic knots are delicious, simple, and cheap. There's a nice selection of beverages as well (slurpees, fountain soda, can/bottled soda, snapple in lots of flavors, etc.) The staff is very friendly as well. The only bummer is that they don't take cards and it's not the most inviting (i.e. not too clean, not many tables) place to sit and eat in, but that's your average bk corner pizza spot.

I like this place. The pizza is yummy and their garlic knots... mmmm:-) I always stop by here when I'm in the area for a nail appointment or errands. I wish it were closer to my apartment, but I'll take it when I can get it. The pizza is tasty, chewy and cheap. I've only had the plain and the garlic knots, but I always leave satisfied.

Very convenient place to get a slice or two considering its on the corner from where I live. The guys working behind the counter were pretty friendly and they heated up a few slices for me pretty quickly. It was cheesy, hot and delicious. I know I'm going to be back many times because of the good slices and close proximity

Great utility pizza. Perfect for parties and local events. Very filling. The crust wins the show- great chew and good flavor. Recommend adding sausage or sharp cheese to enhance the flavor. Inexpensive for the large size and good quality.

For delivery, this is the place to go. It's a decently priced, authentic pizza place - Their pizza is good, but to be honest not much else there really is. The Gyro, Garlic Knots, and Buffalo wings were all disappointing when I got them, but I keep coming back for the pizza.

I've only had the sausage parmigiana hero and it was not good. With better bread this would be a passable sandwich, but the soft roll with the sauce made the entire sandwich wet and unappetizing. The sausage used is just the slices used for the pizzas so even with a layer of sausage, the filling to bread ratio is way off.

The plain slices, pepperoni pinwheels, and garlic knots I've tried at this place are okay. Meets the standard. The dough is a little bready -- which I enjoy. Lost a few stars because of service. 1 star for quick service 1 star for good pizza 1 star for cheap 1 star for being below my apartment i've only had the cheese, but its not greasy and doesn't require a bale of napkins to eat a slice. fortunately for them, and unfortunately for my physique, i seem to be making a regular habit of running downstairs for a slice whenever i get my hunger on. gotta love instant gratification

I visited my sister in Brooklyn who recommended this pizza place to me and I tried it for the first time today. I definitely would not order from them again. Yelp lists their closing time as 10:30 but they actually close at 10. I called them at 9:30 and the man who answered the phone was very short with me. Also, they did not have over half the things I asked for. (They said they were out because it was almost closing time although I called 30 minutes before closing). Delivery took 20 minutes even though its located 0.3 miles away. The pizzas were lukewarm when they arrived and had to be microwaved before I could eat them. The total for 3 slices was 10 dollars...which I don't understand. The pizza was overall bland and oily and the mushroom pizza was absolutely OVERLOADED with weird looking mushrooms that I have never seen on any pizza. I would not even eat this pizza again if it were free.

King Pizza, I am surprised at how pleasantly delicious you are for $1.50 a slice. Crunchy, chewy dough, with not too much sauce. Maybe a little greasy for me, but whoa, you totally win for being a block away from my boyfriend's house. AND for being $1.50. Everyone wins!

If only there were a zero-stars option. My family used to order from King's every Thursday. The pizza was fine--reliable, edible, with a nice delivery person whom we got to know well. Until tonight. We'll skip the details: somehow we ordered a half-broccoli pie and a half-sausage came instead. The owner promised a new one right away, and in the meantime my kids, who were starving, managed to eat three slices. The delivery person took our incorrect pie and left us the right one, and not five minutes went by before he came back and asked for the missing three slices. REALLY?!?!?!? I kid you not, dear reader. The owner wanted the incorrect pie back, in its entirety, after I told him that our kids had touched it. The delivery person couldn't tell us why--just that the owner was angry. At us?! For attempted pizza slice swindling? WHAT in the world was he going to do with the pie? My husband angrily marched back to the restaurant, slices in hand, with the nice delivery person, to tell Mr. King's Pizza that this would be our last order with him. Now we need a new Thursday tradition. The king fell off the throne.

Haven't seen any mentions on how awesome the Eggplant Parm hero is. It is truly awesome. The pizza is good, sometimes I wish it were a little crispier, but its fresh simple and tasty, and a great deal, 10 bucks for a cheese pie delivered. I am pleased to have this as closest delivery option.

My husband has been working in NYC and throughout that time he's been looking for a good example of the quintessential NYC pizza, easily folded and delicious. Happily, King Pizza & Pasta Number 3 delivers! And they actually do deliver to our place, for free! We've only had cheese & pepperoni pies, so far, but they've been so good I'm sure we'll be checking out the rest of the menu in time. Good stuff.

I really liked it. I had a regular slice and a pepperoni roll. The sauce is really tasty although they really skrimp on the pepperoni--I'm not kidding when I say there was 4 pieces of pepperoni wrapped in bread. It was saved by the side of sauce I bought--delicious. Love that A grade on their front door. A slice, a pepperoni roll and a bottle of water for $3.75. Reason number 821644 to move off Long Island.

Yum yum yum. Pizza is great - not too heavy or oily. The garlic knots are also tasty, although be warned, they're the type of garlic knots that when you wake up the next morning you wonder if you kept eating in your sleep. Yep, they linger. Owner is a great guy, and all staff is really cool. GREAT place.

Wow, 3.5 stars? That's a little saddening for me. I loved this place since I was a teen. Their pizza is soo good and it still is. I get a slice from them when I am in the area. Nothing special, just a slice. Then I load it up with my garlic powder, italian seasoning blend and crushed red peppers. Mmmm, Just like how good pizza used to taste.

This is my favorite pizza place in the area. Cheap, fast, delicious, and the guy who runs the place ALWAYS calls me "sweetheart," which just cracks me up. I feel like a lot of the other places I've been to around here are sometimes better, but wildly inconsistent--sometimes they're great and sometimes awful, but Kings is consistently awesome.

Not the best pizza in NYC, but I love this place. I always have two bucks when I return to my old neighborhood just so I can grab a slice from here. I used to order a pie from them when I lived in the deliverable area. Their pizza is good, hot or cold.

I lov-a this-a place. delish neighborhood standout. friendly italian owner. nice kids bring-a da pizza. pizza with a fresh taste. Not quite as good as grimaldis, but zesty, cheesy, a nice crunchy crust which is also a little chewy...def my fave in clinton-hill-bed-stuy fulton area. salad like my grandma used to make, wet, with some pickled crunchy things and iceburg. decent stuffed shells and little pizzaria pasteries too.

I just moved in down the block, and this is the only pizza place by me. I was quite apprehensive, because I knew even if it sucked I would end up here for a slice and just be miserable. Now so far, I've only had a plain slice, but I was quite relieved. The pizza is far from a revelation, but it is more than adequate. Chewy crust, fresh tasting cheese, slightly sweet sauce. They also seem to get fairly brisk business, so the pizza is pretty fresh. Their slices with toppings seemed a little long in the tooth and I only remember seeing pepperoni, white, and some sort of pepper medley. On their take-out menu they list some heros, pastas and the like, but they have a disclaimer saying "if you don't see it on the menu, just ask for it." I didn't see eggplant pizza on the menu, but they do have an eggplant hero so my stellar deductive skills tell me that would be a reasonable request. Now my only question (if anyone reading shares my perverted pleasure please speak up and I might marry you -- or at least share a pizza with you,) will they make me a pepperoni and pineapple pie?...Don't knock it 'til you try it haters. They made it for me at my old pizza place in Park Slope and didn't ask any questions. It's something about sweet, spicy, and salty all at the same time... that sounds dirty.

We have all found our individual favorite pizza slice restaurants ... and this is mine. This two-dollar thumb-folder has the perfect proportions and the right amount of chew and crunch any slice needs to have. I really haven't branched out to the other pizza varieties they offer - just cheese please. I liked their dough so much that I have bought a couple of pounds from them every once in a while to make pizzas at home. Friendly owners and one of the few pizza by the slice places that has plenty of seating.

It really depends on who you get, who is serving you up, but the experience ranges from insulting to just fair.

Thank God this exist on my way home. Garlic knots are always freshly made. The pizza and sauce are yummy, never a leftover at my house.

Good stuff.
