This is a tiny place with a few tables and a counter. Nothing fancy about this place. Staff is friendly, and helpful. I ordered their chicken with tostones to go. Chicken was juicy and well seasoned. Quick food, good taste, and good price- can't go wrong.

I've finally found the Breakfast place I've been looking for! This little place packs a big punch! Their Breakfast is superlative! Big portions, good food and prepared exactly as you ordered! Small price too compared to other, less satisfactory rip off places.(see my review on 38th street diner). Place was always packed but I was served quickly. Highly recommended! Note! Cash only!

A warm little corner spot that seems like the neighborhood kitchen. A bland interior is decorated by old skool Dominicans and other patrons who shout five feet to the open kitchen "da me ketchup!" and go up to each other's tables "hey what's up man!". Veggie Omelette on the menu for $4.75. con papas fritas, toast y te. I wasn't sure if I needed to bust out my espanol but all speak english. It's just hella loud in there. One guy came in to chat with the table next to mine. He asked to borrow the seat opposite me- sure- but then proceeded to gesture animatedly and dance there, in between tables, so I kept having to tell him to quit jostling my table because my tea was sloshing over. He wasn't rude, and I wasn't particularly annoyed, as I got the sense musical chairs is a common occurrence there. Certainly no staff came by to say hey you're blocking the aisle or whatever. anything goes. The veggie omelette was no frills. Scrambled egg with a sprinkling of diced peppers served flat and folded. The fries were served as a layer over the omelette. Presentation isn't considered but that was totally fine by me. Service was ok even though I had to ask for water twice (I blame the loud din), friendly enough and the whole experience was well worth $4.75.

I went here for the first time this morning, for a late breakfast with the boyfriend. He had mentioned passing by several times when headed to the Harlem-125th St. station to catch a train home. It was really quite good! I ordered the mofongo con queso blanco ($5), which I've never had before in my life. I have nothing to compare it to, but I really liked the dish. The cheese tasted bacon-ey from the grill, melted but still quite firm, with a chewy, crispy brown skin. Quite divine. The whole dish was covered with sauteed red onions, the flavor perfectly complimented the starchy green plantains. I had a tasted of my boyfriend's grits too, they were good! Very buttery. I would come back for sure.

I work around the corner of this place and I was recommended to eat here by a co-worker. When I walked into the restaurant, I was greeted by the friendly staff. There is a large selection of sandwiches, breakfast items, burgers, and sides on their menu. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with just lettuce and tomatoes, which cost 6 dollars. For a six dollar sandwich in Harlem, I expected a bit more... like a side of fries or a bag of chips. The whole experience was mediocre. Would I go back? Only if I had no other choice. One last thing. If you order a coffee, make sure you tell them what you want, otherwise they will assume that you want sugar and milk. The lady at the counter rolled her eyes at me when I told her that I don't want sugar in my coffee. She said, "you should have told me, but it is okay," with a fake smile.

This place has a great Spanish breakfast, that I believe is very authentic. It's a diner style, but it's a great place for a quick meal.

This place is unreal. You get to sit here and order anything on the menu, it's all delicious, and your final bill is less than one drink order at any restaurant downtown. I recommend getting the smashed green plantains, pancakes, and the salami. The staff is hilarious, and if you know enough spanish to say thank you and ask for the bill, they love you. I can't wait to take my next field trip up there, I've already told loads of people about this gem in Spanish Harlem.

THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST PLACE IN THE WORLD TO ORDER FROM!! Run don't walk in the other direction if you want your order right. The guy who answers the phone is the rudest person and has no customer service skills and on top of that he is spiteful and mean. They got my order wrong, one of I don't know how many times, and then when I called back about it he was very rude and had a nasty attitude as he always does whenever he has answered the phone. The final straw was his sending me a dry, hard as a brick muffin that didnt have butter on it after I said to add butter AT LEAST THREE TIMES! Instead of just sending another one this unbelieveably rude order taker has the nerve to argue with me about it and tell me butter is on it and he hadn't even seen it. I found myself yelling in the phone as a result of his insisting on arguing about it. When he answers the phone, instead of saying "How may I help you?" He says "What do you want?" As if sommeone is bugging him. He doesn't have any manners and the words please and thank you are out of the question. If he misunderstands something he says "what?" Not "excuse me" or "sorry". Why he is working there and making them lose business is beyond me but he must be related to someone. He certainly wouldn't answer a phone in my company. My morning was pleasant and he changed that and its not worth it to have that happen just to order some food. I AM GIVING YOU FAIR WARNING DON'T order from them unless you enjoy being treated like dirt. No matter how much you have spent with them they don't value their customers and they act like they are doing you a favor by answering the phone. They want to keep such a rude order taker they lost me and my friends as customers. It would be nice if they hired black people too. Seems like racial discrimination is happening in this place as well. You can see that when you walk in the door. They are in Harlem yet not one person with brown skin works there. Only light skinned latinos work there. BUYER BEWARE! STAY AWAY!

I went here a few weeks ago before catching a flight out of LGA. Their prices are very reasonable. The food isn't to boast about, but it's good overall. Paid under 5 dollars for a whole meal! So if you're feeling cheap, come to this place. I had a much better experience here than at Skylight.
