Good homemade breakfast. The pancakes where Huge and the breakfast was good. It is definitely a small town diner. Don't expect anything but a decent meal. The reason I have four stars is because we got a lot for the money.

I'm a regular, come after gym 1 or 2 times a week., and dinner 2-3 times a month. This is my breakfast place 'cause they make eggs consistenly as you order them. I have recently found several new (to me) superb dishes. The have he best fish fry dinner/sandwich in the area. It is crispy nicely seasoned ( suspect they change oil often enough that it doesn't get salty) and not overdone. I also discovered the great Dutch Lettuce, and a very nice pineapple pastry dessert. To my mind consistently good cooking is the key here.

It is a classic diner for selection and taste and service. Overall, A-OK. I Heard about this place as it has a good reputation in the Newark area for catering parties and showers. It apparently opened up in 2012. They are said to do fair amount of take out too. Traditional family diner selection of sandwiches and entrees. Lunch specials tried today included a fish sandwich with a side 6.99, hot turkey sandwich with fries and gravy 6.99, and fish dinner (with slice of bread, fries, and slaw) 8.99. All were decent. Served up fast, which is nice plus at lunchtime. They have apparently taken over a space from a previously closed restaurant and brought a north end of Newark neighborhood dining spot back to life which is great for the local folks. Presently, the dining area is a bit dated, as it was like walking back into 1966. Linoleum flooring, square metal tables with white tablecloths underneath a sheet of square plastic, and small counter dining area near the kitchen. facebook.com/pages/Nanas…

The food is often good but not consistent. The biggest problem is that the place is just not clean and I can't get past that. I ordered something that came in a basket and the basket was filthy. The waitresses are very friendly but poorly trained. They are loud and the interrupt customers and conversations. Needs some polish...potential is there. I would love to be able to support a small local business but much updating and cleaning needed to be a place I would take anyone to.

I really like this place, but the eating area is small and feels overcrowded when there's a lot of diners there. It's a great place to order out and their fried chicken baskets are amazing! The best friend chicken I've ever had! They are usually pretty good about delivering in a timely manner. We only had one issue once when they forgot our salads, but they brought them to us within 10 minutes of leaving. Their homemade bread is also delicious! All in all, a great little diner but I would suggest eating at home instead of in house.
