Every time I've ever ordered from this place, something has been missing AND the delivery has taken forever. I probably shouldn't have given them as many chances as I did, but now that I have, I can say this: the food is ok at best and the service is terrible. I've been told that my order wasn't "big enough to make the trip worth it," when I was ordering multiple dinners and live ten minutes away. Honestly, if the owner doesn't care enough to work for his customers, he doesn't deserve my business or yours.

Felt forgiving the other day and went back to give it another shot - better. Had the kielbasa and it was very well cooked, with some nice toppings. Still didn't blow my mind, but solid.

One of the best burgers I've ever had! The dog house is clean, the service is amazing, and the food is delicious. It is a tradition at work to order burgers for lunch on saturday because we love it that much. The Gyro's are as good as is it gets too. I always refer people, and can not wait until the weekend for that juicy and tender burger! A+ quality all around

Arrived here late on a Sunday during 9 hour drive respite. Place is low on frills but clean and service was quick/courteous. Drinks: fountain ...Pepsi :(, various bottled Pepsi, Gatorade, water Ordered Chicago Dog & Fry (i.e. NJ Ripper dog) w/ sauerkraut, ketchup, and mustard. Chicago dog is not authentic but a close approximation. The both are ok and worth visiting in the area. I didn't try anything else. Overall 4 because of service but food was average. They need higher quality dogs.

Could have been so much better. Everything seemed neat and clean. Way too much on the menu. Would be better for them to specialize in a few things that they could perfect. Everything they had tasted frozen or directly from Restaurant Depot right down the block. Would not go out of my way to go back, but wouldn't be against picking up something for the kids, while my wife and I go elsewhere.

The Dog House is a non-pretentious location to grab a hot dog with a little more frill. I love a good salty-water dog. But, the Far East dog has me questioning my loyalty. Our table ordered multiple hot dogs and sides: the California, Slaw, and Far East dogs accompanied by the baked beans, Cajun fries, and potato salad. Hands down, the Far East dog and potato salad took the top prizes. If you can, hold off until the weather gets nice, their back patio is what will have you coming back for more!

Great food, you can sit down outside on a nice sunny day and they deliver. And this establishment support the troops by donating to disabled vets five star guys good job.

The grilled chicken is excellent. Hot dogs are so-so. They need a bigger selection of drinks on tap. The only true negatives are the counter people. The females are stoic and the younger they are, the ruder they get, definitely from Stepford. But if you want good food at s slightly high price, go there. Another plus is BEER!

I heard about this place from someone from work. Glad they told me about it. The place is kinda hidden near where Envy massage. What suprised me the most was the variation in the Menu, which ranges from Mexican food to Cuban delicacies. Me and the boys had some of the food ordered and were happily surprised. I had me this gigantic hot dog called the Porky Pig which had bacon bits, nacho and cheese onions. I also had a Corn Dog. The dogs were cooked and the corn dog crust was crunchy and fulfilling. My brother had a Cuban styled sandwich and my co worker had delicious half chicken with with egg shelled macaroni which were magnificent and wild rice. We order from this place now regularly. Awesome Find!

Clean and spacious restaurant with plenty of tables and good hot dog joint menu. One problem though - if you are going to put a Chicago Dog on the menu you have to do it right. Tomatoes are not diced. Pickle should be a spear, roll needs to be poppy seed, celery salt is requires as are hot peppers and the relish should be neon green. The dog house is good but don't come looking for a Chicago dog.

Amazing!! Cocktails are strong and consistent. Food is yummy. Been here multiple times and I always like to try a different kind and never been disappointed. The Ice cream is yummy try the toffee one you won't regret. Service is great and they will always try to accommodate your needs and make you happy. One of my neighborhood favorite spots.

Was a pretty good place with a lot of varied stuff on the menu. Glad I know where it is now as right on the route to several of my customers. Easy off and on 287.

Must of hit it on an "off" day. The delivery is always prompt and accurate. I find the wings better than the places namesake. My one hotdog was placed on a sub roll and the other was burnt to a crisp. Bad day for me but I will definitely visit again...but for wings

The restaurant was relatively busy and our party of four had to wait about fifteen minutes to be seated. Once we ordered it seemed to take a while to get our food. I ordered the "preseason burger" and a corn-dog. The corn-dog was very good, it was full of flavor and way bigger than I expected. The burger, on the other hand, wasn't bad but definitely nothing to write home about. It was definitely very cool to experience a kosher sports bar but all the huge tv screens make it a little bit hard to carry conversation and younger children may be easily distracted from eating their food. I think that it is worthwhile to try it just for the novelty factor but I don't think this is one of those places that I will feel "that was so good, I need to come back."

My husband and I love the Dog House. The food is surprisingly good and the menu has lots of choices. The staff is always friendly and will customize the order for you. The prices are a little high but they have coupons in some of the local publications. My grandchildren love to go with us. Also, they deliver which is very convenient.

All sorts of dogs... Ribs..fries.. Local spot that has a variety of American foods..whatever the carving... Not the healthiest but a corn dog once in a while won't hurt!
(3)Kathryn G.
The food is delicious! I love the variety of the menu and the staff is so friendly. I order delivery all the time. They have more than just hot dogs! They have great BBQ and the burgers are delicious. Try it, you won't regret it.

Usually wind up getting a grilled chicken club and fries from here. Their wings and boneless wings are great.

Family Own Place. Service and Owners are very nice and friendly. Menu has lots of choices for everyone. The quality of the food is very good. But nothing really stands out. It's overpriced for the food they are serving, but it's one of the better options compare to other burger joints in Rockland county.

I haven't had a sit-down meal at the Dog House since they first opened, but I get takeout from them anywhere from once a month to twice a week, depending on how lazy I am and how much I care/don't care about having a gut that week. That being said, they do have some healthy options on the menu, but from what I've tried they're kind of gross and not really "healthy". Never had a hot dog here, but I don't really like hot dogs. I do, however LOVE me some Mexican food, and the Dog house makes alarmingly good soft tacos, and Southwestern Chicken Salad. It's overpriced for what it is, but it's one of the better options for take-out in the area, and it's got a variety of stuff on the menu.

Stumbled upon The Dog House while passing through Rockland County, with emphasis on the stumbled upon, as this place is hidden behind a shopping center. However, it was pretty busy for a Sunday afternoon. I had ordered a bratwurst, which was OK, nothing special. Their menu, however, is pretty expansive and I didn't have much of a wait at all to get my food.

The dog house is a great place to get a gyro or a great hot dog. Can't go wrong with a cold beer and a burger.

Who goes to a hot dog place? This guy right here. And I'll tell you why...because its awesome, phenomenal, exquisite, pristine, -insert some more adjectives here because I ran out-. And its not just hot dogs (any topping you want, they got). Its pulled pork, its wings (like 20 different flavors), its grilled chicken sandwiches, its wraps, its bratwurst, its Jamaican beef patties, its ribs, its burgers, its onion rings, its cheese fries, its onion strips (think blooming onion, they even have the sauce!). Hell they even have clams and oysters! (I believe they have a clam night, but I haven't had the chance to attend yet). And guess what? They also serve beer and wine. Its also pretty cheap. I mean how much of a mark up can there be on hot dogs? I haven't been by in the summer but they do have an outdoor patio (keep in mind this is fenced off in the parking lot and overlooking Middletown Road) which still plays music in the winter, so it is probably poppin' off when its warm out. Since we know you can't cook for yourself (I know I can't) you might as well go eat some hot dogs. Now! Go! I wasn't joking!

Great dogs, fries. Many other offerings but I haven't tried them 'cause I always get a Georgia hot (spicy hot dog).
(4)Michelle S.
I tired the steak sandwich, and it was the perfect blend of meat, cheese, onion, peppers and mushrooms. My son had a Hamburger meal which he said was awesome. my husbands Hot Dog was covered in toppings and served Hot Dog. Michelle behind the counter was very helpful and friendly.

Pretty pricey for just hot dogs and the sides too. Nothing overly tasty about them and the place has a bare bones look to it as if a step below a diner. Go buy yourself a 6 pack of Sabretts and grill em yourself and a 6 pack of beer and you are way ahead of what you would have paid for half that here. The only thing going for it is that its the ONLY dog place around and sometimes just that lure alone brings people in for that taste they yearn for. Seems more geared for soccer mommies and their kiddies.

Great food for what it is. Porky Pig dog is highly recommended for early heart attacks.

New York Dog & Chicago Dog very disappointing

this is my first time here and cannot yet give it a 5th star. small joint with about 15 tables. serves anything from appetizers (fried items) to ribs to hot dogs & burgers, fish dishes, wings and even whole chickens! very inexpensive and a lot of overwhelming choices. i was in the mood for a hot dog and that is what i got. took the georgia hot, which is not that spicy but just enough kick for a hot dog. topped it with baked beans and cole slaw...among the 12 or so choices you have and those were nothing special. the slaw sucked to be honest, but then again i have bias since i've eaten at great BBQ joints in the south. the best here was probably the potato roll and i'm sure it was out of a bag but it still made the "dish." although i was mixed on the food, the hot dog was cooked well...with a little crunch/snap and i would come try some other things again.

Been to the shopping center (where The Dog House is located) quite a few times. NEVER knew it was there. It's kinda hidden away. Just went the other day by suggestion from a co-worker. I had two hot dogs w/ grilled onions and a soda. Came to about $10. A bit pricey, but the hot dogs were good and they are NOT cheap w/ the toppings. Looks like it's family owned. Customer service is TERRIFIC. Extremely friendly. Atmosphere is nice and clean. There are plenty of booths and tables to sit at. There are TONS of items on the menu. It's not just a "Hot Dog" place. Hmm, wonder what I am going to get next time I'm there??? Try it - you'll like it!!

Last few times I've gone I noticed that they seemed to change their salads. The caesar salad with chix has been quite a bit weaker in terms of presentation. A lot less chix in it and I was even given caesar dressing on the side in a packet. It struck me like they just scooped lettuce into the tin, placed a few pieces of chix on top and grabbed a caesar packet from the shelf. They used to toss the salad and prepare it well.

I wouldn't even review it if there weren't people saying this place was good. Bottom line its not good at all. And i'm not a food snob rating in comparison to fine dining, I understand exactly what its supposed to be and based on that, I would not recommend this. I've also eaten there 3 times, hoping upon hope it could be the real deal, I'm all about a good dog stand, each time I was further disappointed then the last. Example: the hot dog, supposedly their staple, ordered a chile dog with mustard and onion, chile was weak (probably from a can), onions were also not fresh, buns are potato bread. Next time ordered fry dog, dog wasn't crispy, tasted boiled, french frys were soggy, not just a little literally soaked through. Sorry for the slam, but had to do it, hope you guys improve.

The worst food I have ever eaten . I don't know how they are in business.all the food is frozen and fried a real grease spoon. DIRTY DON'T GO THERE.
(1)Linda K.
This is a great place to stop in and grab a quick bite. The staff is friendly, the food is good... And everything is made fresh to order. I absolutely love their original and waffle fries!
(4)Raphael C.
I tried this place because I keep passing by it. Great food, and it has a nice selection to choose from as well. If you want something different from pizza and deli sandwiches, give this place a try.
