We loved this place for many reasons. The room was immaculate which is a high priority for us. The bed was comfortable with high quality sheets. A refrigerator is in the room along with some coffee. Shaun and his wife are the perfect hosts, giving local tips on restaurants activities etc. They are very accommodating to your needs. Wi-FI and cell phone service are a plus here too. Most places don't have the cell phone service or Internet . We highly recommend staying at the Colonial Inn.

While staying at the Letchworth State park the storm of the century went through (lol). My tent could not withstand the rain and my car would not start. I was lucky enough to get a ride to the Colonial Inn to get a room for the night. The room was spotless and comfortable. Because of my late arrival and out of good Christian kindness Shaun the owner gave me a discount on the room. He was great and refreshing; he also was kind enough to drive me back to my site at the Letchworth State camp ground the next morning. I recommend there inn to anyone who wants a clean, quiet, convenient accommodations close to Letchworth park.

We are 'city folks' so we had no idea what to expect... I gotta say we were pleasantly surprised. We were there (Portageville) for a friends' wedding; we arrived Saturday and visited the National Park (highly recommended, plenty of nice views, hikes can be as long as you want them, amazing waterfalls) You are in the country, so, driving is a must. This business seems to be family owned, the check-in was straight forward: no pet no smoking. They don't hide their Christianity, but unlike we were expecting, there were not crosses, questions if we were married, or knocks on our door for Sunday church (funny enough the wedding was on Sunday, so we went to church anyways). Very professional. The bathroom amenities were well maintained and clean, bring extra soap and conditioner. They only offer 1 bar of soap and shampoo. We had an iron board but no iron, we didn't need one so we didn't ask. Basic TV, coffee maker and the nicest mini-fridge. The bathroom comes with a heating fan and the room had one of those electrical radiators on wheels; which it worked perfectly. I checked for bedbugs in the edges of the mattress, and the mattress seemed to be new. I would recommend this place to any one. Very near to both entrances of the park. I would recommend to print and bring an actual detail map, the area has spotty 4/3G, signal. Pros: Read above. Con: No landlines in the room. No conditioner

My room at the Colonial Inn was immaculate. The bed sheets were high-count weave, thick and crisp cotton; the towels were like new and as nice as in any 4-star hotel chain. I mistakenly left some clothing in the room and the owner was nice enough to call me to let me know and she mailed it to me the next day. The Colonial Inn is just down the road from two different entrances to Letchworth State Park. I will definitely be back again!
