Pros: ton of tvs 12+, Not massive, plays music during commercials, food is ok for bar food. They give a lot of sauce with their wings. Some great beer cocktails. Try the haymaker if you like blue moon/shocktop. Plenty of seating. Nice modern architecture. Bartendress took the time to ask how food and drinks are and carefully watches your emptiness levels. Cons: loud..which is not really a flaw but if they perhaps didnt blast the music so loudly people wouldnt feel compelled to talk ao loudly.

The entire vibe of this place is just off. At 4pm on a Friday the place was empty and the music was so loud that you couldn't even have a conversation. I've tried this place a couple of times hoping that it would be better and it's always just another let down. Came here with a few friends for Happy Hour. There was a total of 6 people there including the hostess, wait staff and bartenders. Total let-down for a HH spot. We had 1 drink each and left...

My friends and I came here on a Saturday night for 11pm to celebrate me and a friends birthday. We had reserved a tbs prior to coming. The weather was really bad out, due to all the snow, so when we got there, their was only a handful of people at the bar. We got our table and ordered drinks. The waitresses were friendly and accommodating. The chicken fingers were good, nothing to them than just what they were. I had a good night, but the lack of people was a little odd. I dont know if it was the weather or because of the location of the bar, but it was an off night in that sense.

I want to be fair and update my review because I really had a horrendous experience the last time I came here and this one was completely different! I was in the area and was looking for a place to eat and drink so I decided to give this place another shot because I know at the very least they play hip hop. Someone must have taken note of the complaints because this time around every single employee I encountered from the hostess to the waitress to the bartenders were friendly. I decided to eat here as well for the first time and I must say the food was surprisingly good! I had the "naked wings", cheeseburger sliders and the parmesan fries. All very good. Who woulda knew?! Anyhow I would be delighted to come back again for some food and drinks. Im glad they stepped up their service!!

This was my first time here, and came for a girls night out. I was in the area and wanted a warm place with a decent vibe. The staff was pretty nice. Even the server was playful. The waitresses and bartenders ore really pretty. If you're looking for some pretty women who are quick with their service this is a good place to go. After eating and heading over to the PACKED bar my drinks and all of the drinks of the random patrons around me were coming out reallly quickly. The quickness was not an indicator of quality at all. Everything was super yummy. I would definitely come back during a sports event if I am in the area. The crowd is a mix of UESers, and everyone else from around Brooklyn.

Nice place to go catch a sporting event. I did't eat so I wouldn't be able to review the food the the staff, the drinks, Good hip Hop music. Overall a fun place to watch a game with a group of friends.

We weren't allowed in cuz of men wearing shorts. Yet we visibly saw multiple men in shorts in the bar And leaving the bar. Also they told us " if they let you in with shorts it's at least a $20 cover". When we know there wasn't a cover for other people. Very elitist for a shitty sports bar. Don't go. Spend your money elsewhere.

Great place to watch an event....TVs all over and you have a great view no matter where you are...I had one of the best burgers I have ever had and the service was also outstanding...It also has a solid beer selection and tasty banana / Jameson shots....The place had a great vibe and I cannot wait to go back.

The extent of my hockey-watching used to be the Mighty Ducks, Miracle, and the ESPN:30 for 30 on Wayne Gretzsky. Buuuuuuut I've been (somewhat) converted into a Rangers fan this past season - all thanks to my boyfriend - so when the NHL Winter Classic game was playing this past Sunday, I holed up at Bounce Sporting Club to watch the Rangers-Devils game. The bar was pretty empty save for a handful of Ranger fans, so it was quite easy to get an unobstructed view of the TVs (which are plentiful). When we were there, all but two TVs were on the hockey game. I figure, though, that this is a one-off situation and if one had asked for something else, the bartenders would be more than happy to oblige. Other patrons in the bar seemed to be young & laid-back bros, so it's a decent place to come when in need of fellow fan camaraderie. The beers offered on tap aren't all that exciting, but you'll find the usuals -- Goose IPAs, Stellas, Bud, etc. The menu offering was more promising -- I'd definitely recommend ordering the wings(!) to go with your beers as they were pretty damn tasty. The guac & chips, you can skip... as it lacked salt (which is blasphemous) and was bland overall. If I'm ever back at Bounce Sporting Club for another game (as of now, undecided but inclined to say no), I'm aiming to try the mac & cheese bites. Or the flatbread pizzas. P.S. Please make it a point to read the bathroom signs. They're so funny!

Great place to watch a game. Pros - They get every game - including UFC and BigTen network. The beer list is impressive (Matilda / Sofie / Delirium among others). Food is very good with a menu that is elevated from regular bar food. It is never really packed, which makes it even better if you are meeting friends or want to talk while watching. Cons - staff is really friendly, but does not come around to the tables to check up on you as much as I would like. Probably because bartenders are servers. TVs are a little small. Have to ask for silverware, not a part of their place settings which is a bit odd. Bottom line - I have and will continue to come back here!

The Good. It's a sports bar, so they have your game on somewhere in the joint. We were celebrating a birthday, and they sent us a round of birthday shots. They have sports bar things, like fried food samplers, buckets of beer and buffalo burgers. If you're into those sorts of things. The Bad. It also seems to double as a dance club. The music is loud as hell.* The Ugly. The birthday shots were unrecognizable (and I had thought I had taken all the shots), and perhaps the worst thing I've ever tasted in my natural life. _____________ *I mean this. I think that if/when I end up in hell, they will be playing this exact music at this exact volume.

Went here for nye n highly disappointed in the terrible lack of consideration given by the managers regarding what we thought we were paying for. This brw is the not as busy one I'm told n to start their bathroom situation is just 2 pure shit stall rooms side by side with a sink outside the stalls oddly on its own. We thought the apps/food that wld be available wld of been better than a tray of pasta, ckn parm type thing, n salad just blah..the server Adriana was very nice n sweet and not the reason for our disappointment. Main issue is that we were under the impression of bottle service meaning non shit stoli n when my cousin tried to talk to management they agreed to accommodate us with bellevdere. Or so we thought. Then we get 1 bellevdere n 1 stoli and they refused to just simply give reasonable up charge for the 2nd bottle to be properly switched as well...was a bummer knowing that management was just not willing to accommodate on something so simple. I'd say for nye? Go someone else. I have to revise my initial review n give this place ZERO stars. Considering the occasion of it being NYE. Was just a highly disappointing night that left a bad impression

Great location to watch the game. Barbara the hostess is awesome. Leah was our waitress and was super attentive and sweet. Definitely request her if you come here!. Steak kabobs and wings are amazing.

Bomb drink special during happy hour. Wish the specialty cocktails were half off too though. Fast and friendly service. Music was a bit mainstream pop but catchy. Plenty of TVs. Laid back atmosphere, love the ambiance. I'd come back to this sports bar for sure!

Pretty darn good! Stumbled onto this place when we were wandering Second Ave on a Friday early- evening looking for somewhere to grab a drink, chat, and munch/eat. We passed many places whose patrons were on dates, with strollers, or enjoying their twilight years - ie, a bit too quiet and stuffy. Saw this place on the corner and it said "sports bar." I suggested we see what it looked like inside: young folks, laid back, tons of tvs with sports playing, people drinking and eating?! - Score!! This feels more like a small version of the sports bars you may find in the burbs - not very Irish Pub-like, as are many sports bars in the city. They sat us down and the other patrons at the tables to either side of us just started chatting for a second or two with us - very un-NYC. Pretty cool. The menu is a decent size and has a good variety. Lots of upscale-ish spins on traditional bar food. We ordered two starters with the intention of ordering an entree to follow up. This included the beef satay and the fries. Sooooo good, considering our expectations that we were getting bar food. We then ordered the mozzarella sticks, instead of entrees. Those were just average. Two for one specials with almost every drink during happy hour. And the service was great! Very friendly, good follow-up to see if we were okay, but not overbearing or annoying. I'd go again!

I've only visited Bounce on Tuesdays for bar trivia. The atmosphere is trendy/casual. Most people are wearing at least khakis and a button down, if not a jacket. I was sort of surprised because Bounce is advertised as a sports bar, but I guess that's where the term "Sports Club" comes into play. The food is actually pretty good, I had a wrap and we also had an appetizer of mac and cheese bites (OH MAN WERE THOSE GOOD). The drinks are expensive, but I've come to expect that at any place in NYC that has a "chic" look to it. The music is almost uncomfortably loud for a Tuesday night (especially when you're trying to play trivia). Trivia on Tuesday starts at 8 and is very different from what I'm used to. There are three rounds each with 3 categories and a bonus round where you can work together with other players in the bar who have the same color paper as you (either blue or yellow).

Of all of the places to grab a drink and party it up, the Upper East Side doesn't exactly come to mind. My first occasion at Bounce was for a friend's birthday, I didn't exactly know what to expect. I knew it was going to be a very yuppie, local crowd, but I didn't know it was also going to be incredibly stuffy. It was barely winter and the place was all hazy like a bad instagram filter. While it's bound to happen whenever there are crowds of any kind, usually good ventilation is able mask the steamy body heat permeating the room. But even amongst the chic loungey ambiance, it was so unbearingly warm. The games on TV were a good distraction and so were the friendly bartenders. What were they putting in my drinks? My vodka soda was potent. So was the rum and coke. In fact, the subsequent drinks I ordered ($10+) were so strong I had to switch to beer midway so I could still get out of there alive while behaving. If only the music cooperated, the DJ was a little too random with his Top 40 and house combo scratching - a little more hip hop never hurt anyone. I've only been around for birthdays and sports games, and while that might be enough, I still have yet to try their food. Perhaps one of these days when I'm back up in these parts, I'll be able to squeeze in a bite. Or instead, I'll just be rockin another happy hour.

All around, not a completely terrible place to grab a drink -- but Bounce is definitely not a top destination on my list. Came with my boyfriend and tried a few mixed drinks and honestly I hated them all. They had beers on their menu that weren't available..they weren't sold out.. the bar was just not serving them any more.. so why not update your menu? Wings were nothing special and the caesar salad wrap was oily, drippy and over all unappealing. The waitresses here kind of put me off a little. Super low cut shirts, with stomachs hanging out, fine, whatever. I understand part of your job is to work the crowd. But do you REALLY need to lean down THAT far and close to us while taking our order/asking if we are okay/etc? You're serving a couple, not a bunch of college boys. Anyways to top off the experience, on our way out, I noticed a girl just sitting at the bar who had peed her pants. With that lasting image in my head, I'm not sure when I'll be stopping by Bounce next.

They have a lot of TVs so this is the perfect place to watch the NFL games on Sunday. We had a group of guys and they asked us to spend $35 per person to reserve a table, which was reasonable. The music is loud but they do have specials on buckets of beer. The service was good and they were receptive to changing the TVs so that you could watch the game that you wanted to. Fun place to go once in a while but probably not every weekend.

This place has potential to get packed during the week! We came here on a Thursday and managed to find ourselves some wiggle room at the middle bar to put our drinks down. All around good music, and good company. A nice change for your typical UES joint, I'd be happy to come back!

Solid sports bar on the UES. Have been here a few times to watch some games and drink a few beers. Lots of flat screens around and a pretty nice decor for a sport bar. They bill themselves as a "restaurant & sports lounge" and it has a touch of a chic / posh look. Maybe that is why half the times I have been here there is hip hop, dance, and r&b tunes blasting. It can get seriously loud in here, and crowded on weekend nights. Can get a bit fratty and jockish at times, and is packed during weekends on football season, but that is the usual in this hood. Seems like a mixed crowd most of the time otherwise. Runs the gamut from 30 something forever frat boys, to banker guys in suits, to meatheads, to coeds, and bridge & tunnel types. Service has always been solid here with attentive bartenders and friendly waitresses. Bounce actually offers up some decent pub food such as chicken fingers, loaded french fries, wings, sliders, salads, burgers and such. Pretty standard beer list such as Stella, Guinness, Coors Light, Blue Moon, and Bud Light on draft. Prices run in the $5-$7 range. Bottled beer section is also kind of limited. They offer a happy hour with 2 for 1 beers which is always a good deal! They also have a Ladies Night and other rotating specials during the week. If you are the type that likes to have a dash of nightclub thrown into your sports pub then Bounce is a decent fit. Just don't mind the velvet rope I have seen them put outside the front door on certain nights. Yup - a taste of douchebaggery with that.

Nice after work hangout spot. A bit loud so keep up. We missed happy hour by 3 Minutes ( ends at 7), cocktails were $12. Well worth it. Sweet potato fries were fried well and salted just enough. Truffle Mac and cheese was wonderful. Unfortunately I found a strand of hair in the breadcrumbs of the spinach artichoke dip, didn't make a big deal-they just brought us another.

Can't say anything bad about this place. Needed somewhere to go to watch the rangers game in UES and this place was great. Played the game, had the best Sangrias I have ever had and the waitresses were really cool. Kinda flirty but I guess that's great for the guys ;)

Happy Hour, 2 for 1 specials. Rather than serving you both drinks at once, the bartender will give you your first drink and an upside-down shot glass, which serves as a token for your second drink. Draft beer selection is very limited: Guinness, Sam Adams, Blue Moon, Coors Light, Stella Artois, and Bud Light, priced between $5-$7. While beer by the bottle might be a step better, don't expect to be wowed as the best ones worth noting are Magic Hat #9, Sam Adams Seasonal, and Presidente. The ambiance is hip and modern, with plenty of LCD TV's to go around. I don't think there's one bad seat in this whole bar, but oddly enough they are playing techno music which seems to make you raise a brow. Crowds are of the mid-20's to 30's. Although I was not too impressed with the beer selection, I did enjoy my Bounce Buffalo Burger ($13) which is a Half-Pound Prime Sirloin Topped with Buffalo Sauce, Bleu Cheese, Applewood Smoked Bacon and Caramelized Onions, Served on a Brioche Bun. The burger was cooked to order, Medium for my liking, with a pink juicy center. A few gripes was that the Applewood Smoked Bacon looked and tasted more like ordinary thin strips of bacon. I like for my Applewood bacon to be thick cut with a nice moistness yet crisp edges. The Bleu Cheese was also a bit overpowering, though the raw onions and tomatoes helped to cut the sharpness and saltiness down. What? No fries!! Yea, you'll have to order the fries separately. For $13, they could have at least served a small portion, but nada. There's not much going for this bar except for their 2 for 1 specials, but even then, you can get the same thing or even better at the countless bars in New York City. And I'm not even sure if this is classified as a bar, but more of a loungey-type atmosphere. Being in the middle of nowhere and a hike from the 4 and 6 line, I don't see myself coming back here again.

No. Just No. Save yourself, do not ever entertain the idea of going here. Overpriced for poor quality drinks and poor quality food (some of the food is okay for bar standards), terrible service and the worst of all are the bouncers. These guys make up the rules as they go. A group of us walked in randomly because some of our group wanted to watch a game. We later had some more friends (try to) join us. The others who tried to join were 3 guys, the bouncers did not allow them in claiming it was reservations only. After our friends tried to plea a case that they have friends inside the bouncer told them if you don't have girls you're not getting in. Needless to say those of us already inside, mostly girls, couldn't get out of this crap hole fast enough. Don't bother wasting your life at this place. I won't be surprised if they closed the doors for good soon.

Went here on saturday night to catch some college football games and was pleasantly surprised to see that it wasn't too packed at all. We got a good table in front of multiple tv's and were able to see whichever games we wanted. We had good service and I ordered the buffalo chicken flat bread which was pretty good. We ran through about 3-4 bud light drafts ($5 each) which I thought was a pretty good deal in NYC. My main drawbacks with this place were the fact that there was no sound for any of the games (they were playing music instead) and they made us all pay a $10 cover because they were showing the UFC fight later that night. Seems odd to me that a "sports bar" won't even play the audio for the games.

This will be my second ever review on Yelp.. I initially signed up to help out the guy who hung my flat screens. It was a struggle to remember my password but that's how motivated I am to post this review. Cutting to the chase.. this place is an absolute joke. I remember when Bounce first opened it was a pretty good sports bar. Had heard it went off a cliff over the years but I went to watch the Masters yesterday and they had plenty of seats so a buddy and I walked in. We went in and were initially looking for a table that had a good view of the golf. We asked about the back table.. "that's reserved." Fair enough.. we ask for a table basically next to the bathroom that had a tv "that's reserved too." We settle on the middle island. Mind you the place was empty an hour before when we walked by and was still that way. There was nobody looking for tables. Our waitress was decent enough.. a little slow at the end but pleasant enough. The problem with this place can be summed up in one word.. UNPROFESSIONAL. There was a "hostess" if you could call her that who was beyond drunk. My friend commented it had to be more than just drunk. She was aimlessly running around talking about what table she could put people at, bumming cigarettes from people out front, and basically wandering around. Then there was some guy who was clearly an owner, part owner, or manager.. what a fool. The guy is absolutely annihilated on ecstasy or molly.. hair standing straight up, sweating thru his shirt, staggering around with a bowl of ice cream. The whole staff was very impressed and everyone laughed with this idiot instead of making drinks... really cool guy! Turns out that back area was "reserved" for the drugged out guy and blacked out girl. The other table we were denied was never used.. maybe it was a buffer so nobody could get close to cool guy. There is nothing more pathetic than people who work at a bar and have absolutely no control. Bounce is a dated, cheesy, sports bar.. there are SO many other options in Manhattan why would anyone ever go back there? I know we won't. We walked up to Doc Watsons after about 45mins of that circus. A professional bar with a professional staff.. not a bunch of nobody's who are playing "club" at there dumpy UES bar. Hopefully I can save a few people the trip.

As far a weekend sports bar this place isn't great. All the tables are reserved and have a $35 minimum - most aren't full. They also take away the bar stools so it's pretty inhospitable if you don't get a table. Breaking the sports bar rules for sure.

  • Cole O.

Being on the UES you wonder what it's like walking into a sports bar at 6:30 PM on a Friday - Mark S. And myself did just that and let me tell you what. Sexy waitresses, great TV's, and an amazingly diverse crowd of patrons. You had us, two 23 year old guys, a couple early 30's suits, some random table decked out in University of Oregon apparel, a couple suave-dressed African-American guys, and a table of hot co-ed's. We sat down and both ordered pints of Brooklyn Lager, the waitress brought us 4. When we asked "ugh did we order 4?" she responded well no, "but it's two for one" Wow, I think I might be in love with this place.

  • Teresa W.

This is a chill, nice sports bar with plenty of TVs, which makes it good for watching games. I ordered a burger from here and it was pretty good. But I made the mistake of ordering their "kiss and cry" cocktail, which was literally the worst cocktail I've ever had. Ever. It was a weird unappealing magenta color, and tasted like the cheapest alcohol possible, poorly masked by artificial flavorings. Steer clear of that one and it should be a decent night here.

Awful frat boy bar. Seriously understaffed bar, bartenders are obnoxious. Go here if you're a girl who wants to meet a guy who used to be a big deal in high school. Go here if you're a guy who likes being crammed like a sardine drinking out of plastic cups.

Went here for a friend's birthday on a Saturday night. We got there around 12:30 am (my friend had warned me that there would be a line... she was right), but luckily, mentioned her name and they let us in. The inside was SUPER CROWDED. I couldn't walk without bumping into someone every second and I felt like I was back in college. However, despite that, the music was great (hip-hop, some house music (of which I'm not really a fan)). Drinks were regularly priced (for NY). Got an $11 vodka soda. At the end of the night, though, my friends and I befriended some people in the back of the bar who were having bottle service... we ended up having free drinks the rest of the night and a place to dance (and breathe) without bumping into people! It all ended well--- but just be warned that you may have to wait outside and that you're going to bump into someone every two seconds (could be a good looking guy; you never know!).

I came here for the dallas-giants opening game and we reserved a table in the back. I usually don't go out for these types of things and much rather sit on my couch, order in food, and watch the game in peace, but since all my friends were going out i tagged along. In order to get the reservation we had to put down a credit card and agree to spend a certain amount, which i find to be pretty annoying, but i kinda understand. I was pretty impressed with the food, especially the wings. The bbq wings were really fried and had a nice crunch, and the blue cheese was chunky. They have a ton of tvs so no matter where you are in the bar you'll be able to see one. Service was really good, even when the place got really packed. The only reason i'm giving 3 stars is because the place gets too packed and i hate watching sports in a bar where you can't move.

HORRIBLE........don't bother with this place. Too many rules and regulations. Trying this place out with a group of friends, 10 dollar cover and if you want to sit its $25 dollars per person. Before you can even order they give you a gratuity form to fill out before we are even served. Are you kidding me? We just want to have drinks and hang out. There are much better establishments in the city without rules and better service and gratuity cards to full out before you can even have a drink. NEVER again!!!First and last time!!!Thanks BOUNCE I will be Bouncing out of here with my friends and will NEVER be coming back!

Totally empty for the fight and the manager/hostess wanted $100 for a table for 2 with 2 fights left on the card. And she wonders why it's empty. Yeah gonna have to say not coming back here again

Can I give zero stars? I came to this bar to watch the local hockey game but when it came time for the UFC match the bouncer ran the room for cover charges. There are no seats. This place just wants to run you for your money. I asked the hostess for seats since every table seems to be reserved After spending a lot of money in four hours there is zero respect for the customer. What ever happened to respect? There are hundreds of other bar - restaurants in the neighborhood. Don't frequent this one that doesn't want your business. I spoke with the manager with zero resolution... It seems like if you don't reserve a table for food, no matter what amount of money you spend, you are out of luck.

This bar is pretty standard in terms of UES bars. The waitstaff were attentive, but not as much as some places. Our waitress only brought us 2 rounds before forgetting about us. One bonus is they do table-taps of Coors for $20, which equates to about 6 beers. The food tasted great, but the next day my boyfriend had food poisoning. Watch out for beef burgers!

My friend's girlfriend scored one hour of free open bar at this place by going to lunch somewhere else. I'm not exactly clear on the details except to say that everyone involved was shocked that this went down. Since my friend and his gf are super nice people, they invited everyone they knew more or less to come out for open bar. Needless to say, I took him up on his offer and scored some free drinks! Excellent! The bar was cool. Nothing really special in terms of its layout or decor. Just the usual dimmed lighting with some colorful light bulbs, a bunch of TVs, and super loud music OMG YOU WANT TO DAD FLEX WITH CHEESE? People were making out. There were hot people all over the place. Hansel was there. He's so hot right now. The service was absolutely stellar. Especially considering they were completely jammed and we were having open bar so they were only making tips. The (incredibly hot female) bartenders were working super hard to fill our orders and they were generous both in terms of starting and ending times for open bar and with the amount of alcohol in each drink. I was considerably impressed because they were preparing the drinks so fast that they were basically ninjitsu masters. All in all, if you're looking for a bar experience (ie drankin with hotties plus loud music) with good bartenders on the Upper East Side, this is a good place to check out. I can't speak as to the price since I entered and left without paying a dime, but the service was fantastic and I had an awesome time.

I met some friends at Bounce this past Friday for a friend of a friend's happy hour. I was able to enjoy an hour of booze (beers & house liquor) for FREE. Also, I didn't have to pay a cover, which was an added bonus. The drinks here are STRONG, which is great if you're enjoying a Happy Hour like I was. The bartenders were very friendly & attentive. We ended up getting a table & enjoying one of those huge tubes of beer they have available. It was really cheap & enough to let us enjoy a few pints each. I wouldn't mind coming back here to catch a game and enjoy some of the bar food in the near future.

Decent crowd for a bar (well there will always be the loud, crazy ones but you just DEAL with that), wellpriced drinks and i heard the foods not bad either. A few tables in the back for larger groups (and not VIP either!) but i think you need to open a tab... Great place to watch sporting events on the many plasmas they have all over the bar :D Great neighborhood hangout place :)

Good: -Several giant TVs that are showing various sports. -Waffle fries here always hit the spot (make sure they make them hot for you). -Beers are priced fair. Also, their happy hour (2 for 1 beers) is pretty legit. -Service is typically good and friendly. Bad: -Their sweet potato fries seem like they keep getting worse and worse (each time they are more over-cooked than the last time). Overall, nice chill spot for getting a few beers and some food with friends.

Me- So...should we meet up and talk about this? Him- Ok, I guess so. Me- Where do you want to meet? Him- It's up to you. Me- Coffee? Tea? Booze? Him- We aren't really tea people, are we? So, we ended up at Bounce. We each ordered a drink and the waitress returned with four. Him and I looked at each other, then up at her. It was 2for1, great, just what I need for "the talk". Of course, I didn't stop her. In fact, we ordered another round, a burger and the wings. I laughed. I cried. I ate. I drank, and unsuccessfully feigned normalcy. Then I looked around. There were a lot people in there for a Thur at 6pm. White, black, old, young, fat, skinny, short, tall, frat, blue collar, a drag queen. All kinds of people. I also noticed the blue neon lights everywhere, and the super loud Akon music. Akon? Still? This place is good to catch a game and grab a drink or four. Not so much for conversation, especially with Akon singing Right na na na na na in your ears.

I went in the latter part of the afternoon and loved the space and overall feel. People are friendly, fun atmosphere, and the grub hit the spot. I must try for late evenings as I hear its gets sexy ... I'll let u all know... Go and Enjoy

The customers of Bounce are a true cross-section of the UES, you have the corporate after work drinks and the sports fans who are rooting for their teams. You have the college kids that want in on the great beer specials alongside the dad of four that just want a quick drink (and a peek of the game he can't watch at home). I started hosting trivia night there (TriviaTryst) every Tuesday night, so I don't know how it gets on the weekends or when a big game is on. I've certainly never seen a ping pong table or a red velvet rope... When I host I've seen the bar SUPER packed and rowdy but I've also experienced real chill nights where the patrons are nursing their drinks and engaging in intimate conversation. The staff is great and genuine. Yeah, the girls are wearing tight shirts, but they act like my best friend's younger sis, or my nephew's babysitter: sweet, likeable, and above all, NICE. The menu is all about comfort food but there's something for every taste (literally: Southern, Tex-Mex, Thai...). I love to dig into the Ginger & Scallion turkey burger!! I don't drink beer but the $3 draft special is a nice recession-budget deal. Basically, if you want to have a high-energy night with fellow sports fans, check out their FB page for events. If you want to avoid that more raucous crowd, try the weekdays (except Monday Night Football, duh)!

I wasn't overly happy with my experience at Bounce sport bar. My friend lives UES and invited me there to watch the Knicks game. I ventured out to meet him here and was surprised how small of a venue this was. Unfortunately for us, we arrived about halfway through the game, so there wasn't much space left. The girl at the door was very spaced out and didn't recognize us for a couple minutes while we stood in the small entranceway. I asked her if there was a table left anywhere and she pointed to a high-top crammed in the corner ontop of the door. In the middle of the winter, this was not a fun seat as whenever the door opened, it was freezing cold and drafty on top of you. I asked the server if we could move to the back, but she said it was closed off for a private event. She was also very slow on getting drinks, despite it being a small place. (side note: When I walked back to the bathrooms, there were about 6-8 guys on one side of the back area and the rest was unused. Don't know what the event was but too bad they couldn't share.) Now what really gets me about this place is that thier beer was so cheap (I think the special was $3 select drafts before 9 or 10) but their food is way over priced. Chicken fingers for $10, hummus for $11, a burger with nothing but a bun, meat, lettuce and tomato was $11. The couple dining next to us got the French Fries tasting basket, which was 3 little cups filled with no more than 3-4 oz of fries (waffle, regular w/ rosemary/parmesan and sweet potato) and that was $10. When I saw how small and plain their burgers were too, I figured I'd skip food and get another beer. I wasn't in the mood to drop $15 for a small burger and tiny side of fries. I know this is New York, but I've been to way better places that serve things together (burger&fries) for either less money or bigger portions that are worth that much $.

Been here a few times since my friend works on the side block. The music is great and there are so many big screen tv to catch multiple games going on at the same time. The bartender are all gorgeous girls and pretty attentative if isnt a crazy game night. The food is pretty food too and you cant deny a big UPs to a place that has sriricha.. the love of my life! There great happy hour deals and the place has a range of crowd sometimes, young ues kids to working folks to the casual hang out crowd. Only thing i wish is that there was a small dance floor in the back cause the music is bumping sometime. I understand its a sports bar, but that would just this a 5star review.

This is my go to spot for watching the Knicks on the UES. It's not the best place but it has a ton of TV's, a lot of beers, and a decent menu of food. I've had the burger which was pretty good considering the bar circumstances. I would recommend if you're interested in watching a game; they are even amenable to changing the channels assuming its not a huge national event.

My wife and I wandered in here on a Wednesday night. I was a bit confused at first, I was not sure if it was an upscale bar or a sports bar. It turns out it is more of the latter but trying to be the former at the same time. Unremarkable beer selection but I am all about two for ones so that was a huge plus. Food was above average bar fare. The Shishito peppers were outstanding but a little pricey at 10$ I had a great burger and my wife's chicken wrap was very, very good. No fries though, I hate that, had to pay extra for a small order of fries. Overall, pretty good but I don't think I would ever make a special trip to go back. I can imagine it might be pretty frightening on the weekends.

I find it funny everyone talks about the hot waitresses. Sure they are cute girls, but truly nothing like a Hooters, and they are genuinely nice to me.. and don't hover. Maybe because I'm a female, but typically in places like "that" the girls will call me "Sweetie" and "Honey" all night and I end up being glad my bf wasn't with me. But these girls are all pretty cool. I can see for you men that this is probably an attraction to this place :) But girls who find that annoying- it's not as bad as Hooters, by far. I loved that my first night I came to see my what would be new apartment, I stopped here to have a beer because I was early. I happily walked in to what looked like a sports bar (which I loved) but also had a lounge-y feel to it, with blue lighting and modern furniture. TV's are everywhere, and they even have a phone charging station at the bar! That was the first time I saw that and that impressed me..haha. It's the little things. I saw someone mentioned Techno music- luckily I didn't hear this when I was there- it was more of a 90's and early 2000's mix, big fan. My waitress was really nice- it was slow and she could tell I didn't mind just being left alone. She brought me my beer with a second in hand and said that it was happy hour- that was cool. Then Happy Hour ended and somehow I believe it was Ladies Night and got some other discount. Left without paying much.. This place is pretty decent- because the bar food is actually pretty good. Quesadillas are hefty, nachos are great with two separate types of cheese, and a VERY large portion. Chicken fingers were good too. Not your typical bar food and they have some cool drinks on their menu, which I find a plus. I saw "beer towers" on almost everyone's table but never knew about it, maybe next time. Went back 2 times since and it's always the same. I like it enough to continue and will probably check it out during football season as it's a block from my apartment!

Went in yesterday, sat down at a table and ordered two Bud Light drafts. Waitress brings us two beers. We begin to drink them and realize they are Sam Adams. Half way through the beers, waitress comes back realizing that she messed up. Do we want two Bud Lights? Well, if you're offering, sure. Waitress then proceeds to tell us that she needs to take back the half pints in exchange for the new beers. Thoroughly bizarre. Didn't bother trying to ask the logic though - she wouldn't have been able to process it.

Bounce has a great setup of TV's and the seating is arranged for great viewing. There is a massive bar that spans the length of the space which makes finding a spot for a drink manageable. The menu looks great, but let's be honest, it's a sports bar and there is no reason for a sports bar to have Pork Belly (and even less of a reason for someone to order it..). All of the food is extremely pricey for a sports bar, but the drinks were all reasonably cheap. If your the type of person that wants to hear the audio for your game, avoid Bounce. If your the type of person that watches your college game for the social scene - head to Bounce. Food and Munchies - Porkbelly - absolutely no reason to order this. The meat was tender but the sauce was absolutely disgusting. Truffle Mac & Cheese - pricey at $23, but well worth it. Pigs in (Pretzel) Blanket - these babies were unbelievable. I would go back to bounce just to order these (and i live in Florida!) Truffle Fries - a little too much Overall, Bounce is a good spot for the game to see friends and the (video) game. But keep in mind that its a sports bar, and stick with the basic bar food and you'll leave happy

Okay so I just really don't know about this place. The bouncers were jerks, the people were jerks, and I felt like a jerk just for being there. Packed to the brim..you physically cannot move in here on a Friday night. Just...really weird and tool-ish crowd. If your style is music blasting in your ears as you stand back to back and shoulder to shoulder with a bunch of post-frat boys, then shimmy on over. If not..keep looking.

We stumbled into Bounce after looking for a decent sports bar on the UES and we really liked this one. We had great burgers and enjoyed watching a basketball game. But the best part was the fact that my girl-friend won a free open bar for one hour in the raffle. Management was very pleasant to deal with for setting up a date for the open bar deal. Before the open bar happened, we were actually a bit nervous how this would fare, as we never had an open bar experience before and invited quite a few friends. However, all our worries quickly vanished and the night was a huge success. The cute bartenders were incredibly efficient and friendly and treated us as if we were fully paying customers. Tipping well always helps... I had a great time there and can highly recommend this bar. See also the review by my friend Rich W. about that night, he wrote an awesome review.

Two of my coworkers were leaving so this place was picked for some happy hour booze and food. The place was full of people but not so packed that you couldn't get a seat or chat with your coworkers. There were tons of TVs around promoting extreme sports and one highlighted the San Diego Mud Run which I got all excited about and made a few of my coworkers watch. They have 2 for 1 specials mostly wine and draft beers so I opted for a Bass. I asked the waitress for one Bass but she brought out 2 so that means I had to fill my tummy with carbs otherwise I would have been passed out on the corner somewhere. The food is actually pretty good. I couldn't decide what I wanted to the waitress picked one for me which was the artichoke dip. A bunch of my coworkers had the chicken fingers and for 9 bucks that looked more like a better deal than my dip. However, my boss got the french fry bucket which was 3 buckets. One consisted of sweet potato french fries, another rosemary fries, and the other were waffle fries. It could feed a table of 8 so I just opted for the side dish of rosemary fries after I licked my plate clean of the dip. Overall, the service was very attentive which was nice since most of the time you have to flag down the waitstaff and wait 20 minutes for any beer or food to come your way. Furthermore, the crowd wasn't overly obnoxious but they seemed to be the interns and residents from the neighboring hospitals. I'll definitely come back to this place just because I like the service and the food. Now only if they served Belgian beer!!!

Just, eh. Nothing remarkable about this place, except that it has role confusion... wants to be a sports bar, wants to be a trendy lounge and these two don't really overlap. They have several flat screens, so you can catch your sports from almost every seat, but the ceiling is a little low so the screens are a bit small. It's a cross between retro dinner and loungey atmosphere, which doesn't quite hit any mark, so it's a bit awkward. Also, the crowd isn't quite commensurate with the lounge atmosphere. Around happy hour, there were some nice, but somewhat shady, characters hanging out... knew the bartenders, I don't know, it was just a bit awkward. Food was fine, service was pretty good, staff was excellent. The vibe was just off, it's a very confused place so it was hard to really get comfortable.

I guess it is a diverse crowd here but I was not really into the place. I dislike most upper east or west side places but I was here for the KNICKS. There was that dispute with Time Warner about NY Knicks and Rangers being kept off TV so MSG had these viewing parties here. I did have a great time, got to sample some typical bar foods like chicken fingers, loaded french fries, hot wings, sliders and free soda. The place obviously was crowded and it was a tuesday night and all during this LinSanity era that we are in now. I am not really big on coming back here though. It was cool to see FORMER Knick in the house John Starks, that was kinda awesome. John Wallace from Syracuse was there too asking questions about the knicks for T-shirts and autographed Basketballs. Like I said the place was just really crowded on this night, but it was worth it at least that night to step into the Upper East side Frat Boy goofball bar area. The bathrooms were pretty decent, nothing too extremely filthy, LOL. The waitstaff was very attentive though, that night bringing out alot of food and takin care of business knowing this many people were here to watch the NEW YORK KNICKS play. I ended up leaving before the game actually ended, the crowd was getting to be too much for me. I did have a good time though, and a full belly by the time it was all said and done. MSG did have a real stupid role in this but at least helped out, some fans and true FANS like myself see the game when it is blocked on your home television.

the food here is really goood for a bar. i cant get enough of the spinach dip.......AND they have not tobasco for hot sauce but SIRACHA sauce, that is why i prob gave 4 stars,,,,awesome....but then again its really good to watch sports, big screen, ESP FOOTBALL :) and it gets busy on weekends, but for a neighborhood bar it is well put.

Really good neighborhood bar. Fun place, sports bar. During week is fun, while Sat and Sun during the fall, is the place to be to watch football. Towers of beer and great apps are the way to go. Staff is great too, Rebecca and Orley(spelling) keep you there, and are really friendly. Get there early for football games. Only thing they can work on is getting the beers a little colder. I'll see you there

Went here for a friend's bday gathering. Confused by the velvet rope outside - is this a club or a sports bar? I suppose they are trying to develop a new hybrid genre here. It has tons of flat screens, good bar food, and very hot waitresses. Draws a bridge & tunnel-esque crowd. Was game 6 of the World Series and they turned off the audio on the game after about the 5th inning. So not sure if they're "really" a sports bar. You'll either love it or hate it. It gets VERY crowded. If you're a chick looking to pick up banker dudes after work, here's your place. If you want to watch a game casually, this is not.

i came in with a couple friends and i must say this place is great for happy hour. the staff is friendly and the girls are hot. 2 for 1 drinks from 4pm to 7pm. come by if you are in the area. the food isn't pricey and it must be good i see everyone is eating at the bar. i had the sesame chicken salad and i devoured it. absolutely amazing. the wings are in a 24 hour marinade and they are delish. i hear they have a thirsty girl thursday extended happy hour from 7pm to close girls drinks are $3. i will be back to check out the vibe and the dj, can't wait!!!!

If you're trolling for mid-30s men who wear suits wherever they go and comb their hair over, this is a good spot for you. If you find these sort of people entertaining, this is a good spot for you. If you're seeking hot low-20s women with pea-sized brains but D sized bras, this is a good spot for you. If you like techno in a sports bar, this is a good spot for you. If you wear cologne or perfume, this is a good spot for you. If you like crowds and $9 beers, this is a good spot for you. If you hate your wife, this is a good spot for you. If you're like me, this is not a good spot for you. (Save for the occasional eye-candy. Damn some girls in New York are hot.) See you down the street at a place where people have something interesting to say.

I guess this is supposed to be a posh and upscale sports bar. The prices and decor definitely reflect that but the food wasn't anything special. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap, which was pretty bland. I would of given this place 3 stars if the prices were at least a little more reasonable.

This place is horrible. The crowd is awful, and the staff is insulting and incompetent. They have a lot of TV's so I guess it would be good for football, if you can tolerate being harassed by the staff.

Very young frat type crowd. It gets to crowded and loud for me to comfortably watch a game so I typically avoid this place but am sometimes dragged in by guy friends because of the hot girls wearing no clothes who bartend there.

"See, you know how to take the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation and that's really the most important part of the reservation, the holding. Anybody can just take them." Seinfeld summed it up pretty well... Made reservations for a table on sat night at 8pm. We got there early at 745knowing it would be busy and figured by 815 we would be seated. Not the case. I knew we were in for a long wait when we walked in and gave her the name of the reservation and she said she didnt not have it and that we must have made a reservation somewhere else. We repeated the last name and she claimed they don't take last names on their reservations. After about a full minute of telling her they even called to confirm earlier that day, we had to actually take her clipboard and point to the VERY first name othere list which included the last name of the reservation. Then the hour long wait started. The hostess had every excuse you could think of. We patiently waited and had some drinks at the bar while listening to her telling us she was going to get us a nice big table, while she seated other parties who arrived later than us and were not even all there. Finally after an hour she decided to sit us right by the front door at a small table which had been empty since we arrived and then told us we were "lucky" to even have this. After asking to speak with the manager she claimed that she was the manager. If she was, her management skills are non existent. No manager would ever treat customers like she did. The table that we were "lucky" to have was pretty much in the doorway. Since the door opened every 5 seconds we might as well have been sitting outside. Waitress was very pleasant and complete opposite personality of the manager whose breath actually smelled like horse manure. Food was ok, not worth the wait and arguments with the manager. Will never go back. This visit prompted my first ever written review on yelp because of how "management" treated us. If you go there and have to deal with her don't say I didn't warn you.

Go for Happy Hour..it's buy 1, get 1. Other than that, it's nothing special. I had their sangria and it was literally red wine and sprite, then they threw some fruit slices in there from the bar(orange slices for Blue Moon, lime slices for rum & cokes, etc.)

Great spot to watch some football. I came here on a saturday night to watch the quacks upset the beavers and it was super fun. I just stuck to my vodka soda, but there were beer towers galore, along with burgers the size of your skull. The service was friendly and always on time to replenish my glass.

Interesting spot. On one hand, the food was really good, and very reasonably priced. On the other hand, it's kind of a Hooters wannabe. The waitresses and bartenders are barely dressed and sit down at your table because they're your friend (what customer likes this, by the way?), and check to see if everyone's okay every 10-15 minutes. The TVs were great and they were very good about putting all the football games on and keeping everyone happy. During commercials, they blast random rap songs, which is cool, I guess. Awful beer selection, but good menu.
