Better than Gino's, even on their bad days. The owner really cares for customer service and the quality of food. Their dinners are very good and pizzas even better. I've been coming here for years whenever I want a slice or two to go. I've called in once to ask if they have a special on a pie and the owner said no, but he'll make it especially for me. Which is pretty nice of him. Love love this place. It's nice and cosy and the people that come here are regulars, they know too.

This place is so good! I order from there almost every week. They have the best pizza and salads.

Great New York pizza always on point they never disappoint. I have also tried there veal Marsala flounder and chicken parm and they were great as well. It has a good home feel rite when you walk in and the staff is always very pleasant

Sometimes you want just a slice of cheese pizza... but sometimes you really want some odd combination of toppings that seems like a strange idea to say the least. Francesca's is definitely good for the latter. There was barbecue chicken pizza, tortellini pizza, and - my choice - eggplant parm (among others). My slice of pizza and a soda was under $6, it was warmed in the oven, and brought to my table with a knife and fork, to accommodate for its considerable size. I really wanted to give this place a higher score after the counter guy was such a sweetheart and the two older guys (totally guessing, but maybe the owner and his son?) were having a hilariously New York conversation that sounded like it was out of a movie script. The best part was when they interrupted themselves to make change for the cash drawer and the older of the two brings out this wad of cash from his pocket that was pretty incredible to behold. However, while the fresh basil and sauce on the pizza were delicious, the crust and eggplant parm left much to be desired. I am rarely a person who feels the need for more salt, but salt was definitely missing in the equation. The crust also lacked flavor, though the warming in the oven definitely gave it some crunch. I'll give Francesca's another go if I need a quick lunch in Great Neck, but I'm not hoping for much.

Great pizza and delivery service. They have the best stromboli and simple Italian pizzas in Great Neck. However, it does come with a higher price. If you're looking for a barbecue chicken pizza Mario's Pizza has the best in the area and Gino's has the best buffalo chicken pizza. It's convenient for catching the a train being across from the station. The atmosphere is nice but small and simple.

A gem of pizzeria in Great Neck! This family owned and operated pizzeria has been a favorite of mine for over 15 years. They use high quality ingredients, pizza has a nice crust, not too greasy or salty... It's the way pizza is supposed to be. Make sure you try their Pizza Rustica, a beautiful artisan pizza with fresh mozzarella, basil.

Having tried now Gino's and this place, I have to say that Gino's is the clear winner. I came here Friday for lunch. The one guy working behind the counter seemed frazzled even though I was the only customer there. He was rude when I asked him what a couple of the slices were. I wanted extra cheese, which they didn't have, so opted for the buffalo chicken and the ham slice. Buffalo chicken was decent, but not the best I've had (by a long shot) and the ham slice was decent as well, but the cheese fell off the slice when I picked it up. Verdict? Just eh. PIzza was average, at best, and, between that and the rude staff, I can't imagine coming back.

Pizza and chicken rolls are not too shabby. Probably the best pizza I've had in Great Neck, which isn't saying a lot. Came here to pick up lunch for the office and ordered 2 chicken rolls and a slice. My order took 45 minutes (they told me it would be ready in 20 minutes), which is kind of long for such a small order. All things considered, I did enjoy the food. It was a bit expensive, but worth it in light of the fact that there are very limited options in the area. I'll be back, but I'll know better than to show up on time to pick up my order.

Delivery was on time but worst margherita pie ever ! Where's the basil? Never again !!

By far the best pizza in Great Neck. Perfect blend of salt, cheese, oil, and crunch -- not too doughy or sweet, moderate amount of sauce, appropriate ratio of sauce to bread. In fact, I'd go so far as to say this is one of my favorite New York style pizzas in New York (referring specifically to the traditional cheese pizza here, not the Sicilian or pizza rustica).

My favorite pizza place in Great Neck. Get the Grandma's Slice. The other specialty slices are overpriced. I love their soups. You're safe getting any of them and it comes their freshly baked bread.

Soups are good, Greek salad excellent and sauces bland. They have no clue how to run a pizza place, slices look old AND once I was there and a guy starts sweeping the place. I had to ask him to stop...so gross dirt flying up in the air. It's too bad bc There are too few good places to eat in GN.

Great regular slice. Good service. Good location. If you sit down, it's usually very private. Specialty slices and rolls aren't bad either. Actual Italian entrees are also nice but they're more expensive and ordering them means you have to leave a tip.

After a rough day, I came here and realized how much I have matured over the past 8 years or so. (after purchasing a slice & a Pepsi) Old man next to me: "How much he charge ya for the slice?" Pat B: "ummm. I dunno. Maybe $3? $2.75?" Old man: "You dont know how much you paid?" Pat B: "Well... " [Old man snickers & shakes head] Pat B: "Hey Old man, go F*$% yourself." (gets slice, then sits at same table as Old Man) Pat B: "Its hot as balls in here too. Tell them to turn the furnace down, so they know you haven't died yet." see, up until maybe 2002, thats how the conversation would have gone. Instead, I just asked him to die politely. Turns out he was the owners father.

I enjoy switching off between Francesca's and Gino's depending on my mood. Francesca's has good specialty slices (I like the chicken/bruschetta, sausage/peppers, and chicken marsala). They also have some other good pizza-joint type of things like chicken rolls and stromboli. Also important to note that have some good drink options (not many places you can get a glass bottle of coke anymore made with real sugar). They've got a bottle opener behind the counter for you. They also have pretty decent italian food like veal francese/marsala entrees. I like the atmosphere here as well, its across the street from the train station but off of middleneck road so its a bit quieter and has more of a "homestyle" feel to it. Its pricey for pizza, but if you are from great neck you're used to it. Its the same as all the other pizza places around here.

The battle to be Great Neck's best pizza joint became a twenty-year war of attrition, with Ellio's and Scotto's dropping out and Gino's really going downhill. Francesca's has been steady all along, with great slices, nice (and long-standing) employees, and solid entrees. I usually go with a chicken, veal, or meatball Parmesan hero...they're as good as any in the city and get close to Staten Island and Jersey (the two places where the real stuff is still made). Francesca's is a gem in Great Neck. Just disregard the "home of the Pizza Rustica" statement on the menu: if you call and ask for one, they kind of don't know what it is, and even if you insist on it they try to talk you out of it. I once got what I think was it and it was a giant single isosceles triangle slice, like something out of Alice in Wonderland. Anyway. Conveniently located right by the train station, great pizza and heros. Nice people. Enough seating. Love it.

I usually go there for their pizza rustica which is sooo good. But today I ordered that, a pasta and a calzone and on the phone they told me it would take 25 minutes. Got there in 30 minutes and had to wait another 30 minutes!! I'm so upset that it tookj an hour instead of what they told me...I know they're busy but you shouldn't tell me 25 minutes when it takes an hour. No further explanation and nothing to show they were sorry for the wait. I only gave the 2 stars bc the rustica is good, but that long wait and poor customer service turned me off and I'm not sure that I will go there again.

Their regular pizza is wonderful. So's the baked chicken and many of the platters. The salad is limitted as there is only one oil/vinegar dressing. Located near the train its a great place of a quick lunch. Soda can be pricey- get a can from the fridge.

I've ordered from Francesca's through Grub Hub twice. The first time was very good. Food was delivered in a timely manner and it tasted delicious. However, the second time, the food took over an hour and a half to get here. Then when it got here my mozzarella sticks were cold and my pasta was severely overcooked from sitting the in the container for so long. Plus their meatballs have no flavor. Francesca's is definitely on my "never order from again" list.

Not my favorite pizza place in Great Neck, but still very good. Only tried the pizza here, nothing else. Prices are average for a pizza place. Very small place with a few tables, but the overall place looks very nice. Located right next to the train station, so this place does a really good business. Great cheese slice. Very fresh ingredients and lots of flavor. Love their sicilian slices as well.
