I tend to think that the secret to the success of such pizza parlors is that they stay open late and they be located near bars. We came here after having drinks in the area, and of course, it being ideally located, lit, there and calling to us to consume a greasy slice before heading home was perfect. The fresh mozzarella pizza slice was surprisingly delicious, and I really enjoyed the fresh tomato sauce. Definitely not somewhere to go out of your way to come to, but if you are drinking in the Tribeca area, its a great place to stop by for a hangover stopper!

Love the hazelnut gelato with brioche, just as delicious as you'd find in Sicily. And the Nutella crepes with fruit and gelato are to die for!! They have a great selection of fillings to choose from and every crepe is made fresh in front of you. Prices are very reasonable for a city that overcharges for everything. Next time you're in the area try a crepe or gelato in a brioche made the authentic Italian way. Highly recommend!

I really wasn't expecting them to hand me a bag of pizza with a plate in it when I said "to go." The slice was overpriced for what it was, the service wasn't all that great but it was fast and convenient. I guess that's what the two stars will go towards. I don't plan on eating here again, unless I'm extremely hungry and I'm literally feet away from it.

I'm posting for my brother who doesn't have a Yelp account. He placed an order with this place which took ONE HOUR to get to him and when he called the place to complain they told him they wont deliver to him anymore (when he could care less as he rarely orders from this place because their pizza is even worse than their attitude towards customer service.) If you want to wait an hour for your order to be delivered then be told they won't deliver to you anymore when you call them to complain about it, this is the place which thinks it's the only game in the neighborhood for pizzerias when it's not - not by a longshot. Zero stars! Avoid!

Opposed to the more expensive options in the area, his place definitely drew me in for their prices but I stayed for the pizza. The garlic knots are good here too. It's great that a place like this doesn't need to overcharge like their competitors to supply a good slice.

This review shall be quick as my time here was quick. This place is like 3 minutes from the WTC PATH train and is open late, like 2 AM late. SCORE. My foggy haze remembers that this pizza was DELICIOUS and I felt that I could have eaten a whole pie. Tends to happen after shots. Premise: I had been drinking for like 5 hours at this point and this place was the light at the end of a walk. Regardless, I remember the pizza was good and for reals is the only option around the WTC PATH train for those late night eats when you know the train ain't coming for a bit (since you texted that nifty # telling you when the next train will be comin'). This is a great place to grab a slice or 3.

Pizza is alright. But they need to clean bathrooms and maybe take a moment to paint over the graffit in there

Great pizza, friendly staff. Overall good experience. Happened to be raining the day we visited and the staff offered us an umbrella to keep the infant in our group dry. Great people.

Garlic knots are DELICIOUS - and I am quite picky with garlic knots. They had just the right amount of grease and garliccy taste. 3 for $2 and 5 for $3. I got 3, and wish I had gotten 5. Pizza slices were alright. Will def come back for garlic knots, mm yummy!!!

I've given this place a few tries but I've had enough. The pizza tastes okay but it's the service that led me to write this review. The pizza is over priced and so are the drinks. They charge a $1.36 for a can of soda...a can. There is a lady in particular who takes your money with no smile or even a thanks for bringing them business. Guess, I'll have to keep searching for a good pizza place that actually deserves customers.

Terrible. Food at 8pm looks like its been sitting under the glass since lunch. The spinach roll dough was raw inside and cooked on the outside. Not much flavor either. Avoid if you can. No surprise this spot was empty.

If you're looking for a decent snack late night, this is the place. Its the only pizza/snack place open after 11pm which I find odd since its a busy happening area. The place is located between 2 bars, Lily O Briens and Raccoon Lodge. The pizza's are ok, but GREASY. Make sure to use several napkins to moisten out the grease before you eat. The place itself is clean, but the beers are $4.85 A POP. Too pricey. That'll change your expenses from $5-$6 to $11 easily. So have a snack, but avoid the alcoholic beverages in that place!

What can I say? I love a greasy, open late, fluorescent-lit, no frills spot to get a solid slice. It's classic NYC, as dependable as buskers in Wash. Square, dogs on the UES, and strollers in Park Slope. Bookmark it for soaking up that late-night booze.

I've tried a few pizza joints in the area and this one is worth it. Pretty good slices, but I haven't tried anything else but the pizza. Staff is always friendly and the owner and his daughter are always there. Probably not the best pizza in NY but is pretty damn good.

Imagine a $2.25 pizza slice from every other place in New York city. Now, don't get creative... nope, just stop there. DONE.

    (3)
  • Cranky M.

I would say this was decent new york style pizza that is actually located in new york city. As always, simple is the way to go for ny pizza, and this place does a pretty good job. That being said, it is nothing spectacular or unique or special in anyway.

  • michael a.

Not a bad place the slices are good and the chicken roll is tasty. The prices are a little high considering theres a bunch of pizza places around. My favorite is during the summer when they have outdoor seating you can watch the strippers come and go from work next door you would be shocked at who is a stripper

Let me start this review, by saying their is some lady that works here and every time I come here she always approaches me with a cold vibe ,which it can make me feel really uncomfortable every-time I go order pizza but don't get me wrong ,not every staff here is the same ,because Their is a tall handsome guy that also works there and he's great. The pizza it's self isn't bad

It was a random stop while wandering aimlessly through Manhattan. The guys working behind the counter were very friendly and the pizza was great. Cant wait to come back.

i was treated here by a friend one late evening---& i remember i enjoyed the lasagna slice of pizza i had with them.....it was simply delicious!

Pizza slices are okay... the lady at the cashier is very nice and friendly. One of the fried seafood platters was awesome and for a fair price.

Easy review: way too expensive! $3 for a regular slice?

We stopped on a lark because the kids were cold and hungry. I had pretty low expectations. The place is nothing to look at. It doesn't have a fancy wood fired oven. The sign outside is faded and shop worn. And the tiny door leading to the back-room bathroom had an out-of-order sign on it, which we were told to ignore and just go back there anyway. Everything seemed to be headed in a pretty bad direction. Turns out, though, the pizza is just fantastic. And cheap too. Yes, there are TV's blaring in the background, but they are playing foreign language soccer matches. Yes, the menu is on a board over the counter, but the portions are huge and the ingredients are fresh. Personally, I loved the eggplant pizza, which I can't recommend it highly enough. The kids just lit into the cheese pizza, which was outstanding, and my two year old could not get enough of the rice ball with cheese, which was awesome. The garlic knots were so strong they took your breath away. Looks are deceiving. This place rocks.

My class was having a year-end celebration & since this was closest pizza place by this is where we ordered from. I have to say it wasn't bad at all. Flavorful sauce, nice amount of cheese & not too thin or thick of a crust. Being from Chicago it's hard to please me when it comes to New York pizza. Thumbs up for Palermo.

Try their Philly Cheese Steak! One word,Awsome!Very friendly staff, excelent food, budget price, what more could you ask for!I will definitly come back for more!

Place is whack. Nice interior, but that's about it. I ordered one plain slice, guy says 3 bucks; there are no individual slice prices anywhere on the walls. 3 bucks, that's a few quarters steep to me. All dopey merry Europeans behind the counter, where all customers are known as Boss. Imagine one guy walking out while another walks in: "Thanks again boss, see you soon. How you doin' Boss, what can I get you." A lot of that nonsense. I peeked at the take home menu while eating to see if it actually says 3 for a plain slice. It said $2.75, so the dope got one over on me and made a quarter (why?!?!) Go to a 2Bros, forget this place.

Eggplant slice is amazing. But what's with the outrageous tax?

    (3)
  • Joe B.

Umm...so I was expecting.just a quick, shoddy slice of pizza for lunch...wait a minute, what's that melodic sound I hear? A woman behind the counter speaking....ITALIAN? So yeah, the regular cheese pizza is definitely one of the best I've had in my NYC. That's all.

  • Maritza B.

We have plain, and buffalo chicken pizzas. Great NY pizza close to the freedom tower. Thin, crispy crust!

  • Hungry G.

Just had a slice here tonight after a long evening of debauchery. I love my pizza and was surprised this place was yummy. Just had a plain slice but it was the owed amount of cheese and sauce. They were about to close down so place was empty when I went but grateful it was open so late at 2 am!

  • Kevin K.

Tables are filthy. I think in the interview, they make you prove how much of a jerk you are because every person at this place was a total (and typical) New York a-hole douchebag. The pizza - not the best. The other food, cold and tasteless. Glad to say, and happy I won't ever have to come back here again!!!

    (1)
  • Ashley P.

Yummy! The pizza here is very good, but a little on the pricey side and usually needs seasoning. Nonetheless, I continue to come back. The cheese is quality, the crust is yummy and dough isn't too thin or thick. Televisions to watch while eating and plenty of seating even during lunch hours. The two men who are usually behind the counter are very kind, the woman on the other hand is not as friendly. $5 CC minimum. $3 plain slice.

  • T.j. P.

I'm shocked by the negative reviews for this place. It's my favorite slice in NYC and I try and stop by whenever I can for a slice (usually when I'm taking the PATH to Red Bull Arena.) The service isn't 5-stars good but definitely not worth the negativity here.

    (5)
  • Lu H.

I live close by so I've been here quite a few times. For what it is - a typical, standard, new york pizza joint, I have no complaints. I know there are places that are definitely cheaper, but I have found to like this place a lot. Very greasy and salty, but it is a guaranteed hangover-prevention method!

When the pizza is fresh out of the oven it is excellent When it needs a reheat it is bad. The owner is a super nice and hard working professional. When he is not there his staff are the worst! They are rude, slow and dismissive. What's worse is that when there is a piping hot fresh pie waiting to blow your mind. The £#€krard employees will not give you a slice! They will fight with you and give you a stale old slice to get rid of it. Then when you ask them to only heat the crap slice for a few seconds they put it in the oven and walk away. If at that point you choose to stick around for a BALLS over cooked slice they will make you wait until they are good and ready to give it to you and cash you out. My heart goes out to the owner

Me: Hi, I have two margarita slices. Cashier: That will be $9.25. Me: Seriously? Cashier: Yeah, you still want them? Me: I guess. Can I have a cup of water please? Cashier: No, we don't do that. You can buy a bottle from the fridge in the back. Me: Forget it, just give me my money back. $9.25 for two slices of pizza!!?? I don't know what the mozarella cheese they use is made out of but it must be amazing. Sadly, I won't know. You can get the exact same thing for $3 to $3.5/slice in a million pizza shops in the same neighborhood - and they'll give you a cup of water. Go somewhere else!

I like the pizza from here and the vodka sauce ... But I have been order twice eggplant and it's not what I expected. First time I did order a eggplant parmigiana hero, which I expect the eggplant to be prepared with breadcrumbs but it wasn't. It was eggplant marinara sauce and cheese. Today I ordered eggplant parmigiana plater, and it happened the same... 3 slices of eggplant marinara sauce and cheese.... The plater of eggplant comes with choose of pasta... Without cheese.... I just gonna recommend the pizza!!!! Pizza is so good... Beside that .... Nothing else.

I really enjoyed the Pepperoni Pizza here! The bread was thin, not too crunchy and not too soft. The cheese and tomato sauce were hot and tasty. I recommend this pizza for anyone in the area!

    (4)
  • Adam T.

Asked for pepperoni paid for it. Then they have me pepperoni and sausage. The cashier reprimanded me as if I was stealing tried to charge me a $1 more. It's $4.35 for one slice of pepperoni. Very steep. Won't come back due to this interaction. Good traditional NY slice but not worth the price.

  • Nhi V.

the beef patty w. mozzarella & pepperoni here is addicting. love it with some parmesan & BBQ sauce drizzled inside. their pepperoni pizza is ok, eggplant was yummy. the only thing about their pizzas is how oily it is. it kinda takes the flavor away and ALL you taste is oil unless you take about 15 napkins to dab it off. service was quick. pricey pizza shop tho.

Kind of expensive, and not really good.

    (2)
  • Andres C.

This is a very good local pizzeria. They got very good prices and specials daily along with a variety of menu items. The pizza tastes good and also the beef patties. Haven't tried any other specialty such as the chicken parm or meatballs but they seem to be prepared fresh. If you're in the area and happen to be in the mood for a slice of pizza or lunch then I would recommend this pizzeria.

  • Bobby C.

Not bad pizza but have definitely had better in NYC. I stopped in for a quick slice after visiting the WTC memorial. The crust was thin and crispy which is always great but the sauce could use some more flavorful.

After a long night of drinking we were looking for a place to eat and we stumbled upon Palermo Pizza. The place was basically empty with just my group of 6 and another couple. We were trying to figure out a pizza situation as they didn't have any slices left with the toppings we wanted. The staff was nice enough to allow us to just order 2 whole pizzas so that we could put whatever topping we wanted on them, instead of ordering slices from the pizzas they had left in the window. The pizzas were pretty average, nothing too special but it got the job done. 1 star for being open so late, 1 star for being so close to the bars in the area, and 1 star for the staff = 3 stars! Bam.

  • Alex D.

I absolutely love this place. I've been going there for years, I used to work in the neighborhood and this was always my go-to spot for a slice, now I stop by every time I'm in the area. None of the other places nearby can compare. Old school NY slice, fantastic pizza, some days better than others, but consistently above average. There's a guy that's there a lot and has been there forever, I think he's Italian, not sure if he's an owner or whatever but he's really friendly, gives great service and makes the best pizza. This is definitely one of my top three favorite pizza joints in the city. Give it a try!

    (5)
  • Marisa L.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. It's not the best pizza you will ever, but certainly not the worst. It was a saving grace on a Saturday at midnight, in a neighborhood where there isn't much of anything. The slice was pretty large and a nice thin crust, not burnt or anything. More cheesy than saucy, but didn't overdo either. There are plenty of tables for seating and the staff was friendly.

    (3)
  • Rob J.

I'm incredibly finicky about pizza, and I have to say this was one (okay, two) of the best slices I've had in quite a while. Nothing fancy, just really good NY pizza, which isn't always easy to find. I wish I had a better reason to go back, the only reason I stopped in was because I had jury duty and was down in the area looking for lunch.

    (4)
  • Abby R.

Ick. I can't believe this place has the same amount of stars as donnabella. The crust is flavorless and soggy, and the toppings were just gross. There are way better cheap pizza places to order from (like donnabella! Yum!).

    (2)
  • Tom T.

Decent food, nothing spectacular, and they're open late, even on a Monday night, so 3 stars.

    (3)
  • Ken T.

My gf and I came in here for a quick bite before the 9/11 memorial. She got a plain slice she normally gets and I got the margherita slice I usually get. She said hers was really tasty and I very much enjoyed mine. I'm not a big cheese guy so I was concerned that it was covered in cheese without a lot of sauce (so it seemed). When I bit in you could taste the fresh mozzarella and the sweet sauce. There were a few basil strips that made it even better. Great place to get a quick bite. $8 and change for those two slices and a bottle of Poland spring.

    (4)
  • Bill G.

Great pizza, reasonable prices, close to 9/11 Museum & Memorial. Bought our tickets, had an hour to kill until we could be admitted. I asked a Port Authority Police Officer where we could go to grab a slice of pizza and he told us about Palermos. Good call. Thank you Port Authority Police!

    (4)
  • Stephen C.

The service is horrible. I waited for 5 minutes to order a slice and then the one guy who was paying any kind of attention takes the order of the person behind me. Just horrible.

    (1)
  • Ed A.

$4+ per "specialty" slice dry and tasteless (even after dousing said slices with oregano) the only highlight was it was the only thing open around midnight in a land where pizza is supposed to be king, this is quite possibly the worst pizzeria i've ever been to
