Had a great experience here. I'm always a bit apprehensive with hotel restaurants but bistro z has changed my opinion. For starters, I got the lobster ravioli. For 9 dollars, it was well worth it. Presentation was great and there were huge chunks of lobster. For my main course, Chilean Sea Bass. Perfect temperature and everything melted in your mouth - delicious! Overall, I would definitely return! Service, ambience (we sat outside) and food was well worth it and above our expectations!

Really nice restaurant in the Doubletree hotel. You wouldn't expect this level of quality at a hotel restaurant. We had a great time. I started with the Caesar salad, he had mixed greens. For dinner I had the lamb shank and it was incredible! I was so surprised at how good it was, and how much there was. I wound up taking a lot of it home. He had the NY Strip Steak, and it was prepared perfectly. Service was great. We had coffee but no dessert because we were so full. Our waitress was lovely, very personable, made sure we had everything we needed and certainly made us feel welcome. There was a tool at the next table bitching because the restaurant policy is 30% off a bottle of wine but they don't combine with other discounts. He was using a groupon and caused such a stink that he did get his discount. Honestly, he was the only unpleasant part of the meal. I think he was showing off for his date and if she were impressed by his lack of tact and manners, she deserves him. The guy wasn't young, probably in his 50s or 60s, and to be acting that was was beyond classless. He was mean to the young (and very competent) waitress. Ugh. I'm guessing he has the world's smallest...

I got to know this hotel restaurant from group on. I purchased a voucher and went Bistro Z with my family in Tarrytown. It wasnt easy to find restaurent, cause it was hidden inside the hotel. It actually located near the lobby. Before we get there, we read the review and many ppl said it was good so we tried but we didnt like it at all. Restaurant was very calm and casual type of american restaurant. Service was very slow(two servers at dinner time) and dishes are very salty. we ordered steaks and pasta. meat was not tender nor juicy. it was dried and hard to chew. Shrimp Skewer was good. Fresh shrimp but it was salt bomb. drinked 3cups that night. pasta was very dry and no flavor. i asked more sause and it took 20min. i was already finished. I probably got upset if i paid in full. over all price was expensive eventho i used groupon. it wasnt a good experienced and not recommended to anyone.

Bistro Z is a restaurant that is located on the Hotel Double Tree of Tarrytown; they have a great deal on Groupon. For 2 people 40 $ two STARTERS, two ENTRÉE and one DESSERTS. If you go in the summer, you should take advantage and sit on the outside of restaurant. For the starters we order the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail that is a Traditional Cocktail with Sauce, Lemon & Fresh Horseradish. The App was very delicious the wild shrimp cooked until tender, peeled, deveined and chilled. Served with our zesty House cocktail sauce and lemon wedges. I love the flavor when I dip the shrimp on the sauce. For my entree a had the Grilled New York Strip Steak with some yukon mashed potato, a little seasonal vegetables & crispy fried onions on the top. The 12oz steak was cooked perfectly and the mesa sauce with it was a perfect compliment. My sister had the Pan Seared Salmon with some sautéed spinach & kales, lemon some scented baby potatoes and citrus vinaigrette the salmon had a good taste my sister love the taste of it. The portion was not that big, but it will satisfy your stomach. For our dessert we share the Strawberry Rhubarb Cheese Cake, we did not liked it because had a funny taste.

"A beautifully presented experience tarnished by awkward choices." The restaurant itself is tucked into the Double Tree hotel in Tarrytown, as their main food venue for their guests. It has a nice quiet atmosphere with a partition to block the foot traffic of the hotel's hallway. Unfortunately I found the music playing distracting as it was mostly top 40 hits from various years (Hoobastank doesn't quite jive with an expensive night out). Service was great, with each course well paced. The food itself is where I take most of my issue. Each meal we had were all almost great. I began with the Trio of Baby Beet Salad. The tarragon vinaigrette paired beautifully with the beet slices, but having a plate full of Frisee with no larger leafed greens was a bit awkward to eat. For the main course I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass which was cooked well with a crispy skin and nice texture. Downside was that the bass itself came across as bland. The vegetable bed it sat upon on the other had was a beautifully tender assortment, and the lavender honey a subtle but much appreciated note of flavor My dining companion was of similar opinion of her meal; Lobster Bisque Soup, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, finishing with the Beef Tenderloin & Grilled Shrimp. While very nice, and well made, it lacked the final level of finesse I personally look for when spending this much on dinner. Thankfully we had a coupon which took our meal down from $120 to $70. I am willing to give this place another go, just not without a similar coupon.

I just tried the place with a great deal from Groupon. I was nicely surprised to find such nice restaurant located in the Doubletree hotel. I tried their beet ravioli which was unusual but surprisingly tasty. The Rack of Lamb was cooked to perfection and the chocolate soufflé was delicious. Unfortunately the service was a bit disappointing at first. We went out for a late dinner and perhaps the staff was already tired. They tried to make it up along the way. I give them credit for the effort. I noticed a great outdoor seating area. I will definitely go back to enjoy their outdoors before the summer is over.

Had lunch here today with a friend because I had a groupon. Not worth it! The staff are slow and have no idea what they're doing. We were accidentally given the dinner menu and when the waiter came back with the correct lunch menus, he had still given me the dinner menu! My friend is gluten free and they didn't have many options for her. The salad was decent, but that was about it. I ordered the quinoa burger, which was lukewarm, with a soggy bun, and limp vegetables. My friend ordered the salmon which was overcooked and they forgot to give her potatoes with it. Will never come back here again, at least I had a groupon and didn't pay full price.

This is one of the better hotel restaurants I have eaten at. The breakfast buffet is pretty good - one of the few that has good bagels and smoked salmon in addition to the regular fare. And the scrambled eggs are creamy, not the spongy glop you get at lesser hotels. For dinner, the dining room lacks ambiance and the service isn't great, but the ambitious menu really makes up for it. If you are dining alone, pull up a stool at the bar and enjoy the happy hour nuts and cheese tray. They have a bar menu but you can also order from the dining room menu if you ask for it. I have had the beet and asparagus salad twice now and it was absolutely delicious. The calamari is also good and the hangar steak sandwich special they had on my most recent visit was excellent. The desserts are really nothing to get excited about, so unless you have a major sweet tooth just skip them.

The food here was really good. We ordered room service and had an amazing steak sandwich and duck breast in the middle of the afternoon. We also had dinner outdoors at Bistro Z. The wait staff was excellent except for an uppity waitress who works on Saturday afternoons and evenings. I gave her a $3 tip on a $12 drink which I think is a pretty good tip. However she had the audacity to say I was a bad tipper the next time I saw her and she had the hostess charge me for a cup of whole milk to feed my baby which the hotel usually comps. She needs to get over herself.

This restaurant was OK, nothing special. The menu looked like it would be fabulous, but the flavors just weren't there. We had a foie gras terrine that had cherries and mango, and it didn't wow us, and our main course steaks were OK, but not great. The mashed potatoes were salty, and the shrimp were fishy. The cappuccinos were fantastic, and the service was great, but I don't think we'd go back here again.

Apparently eating at hotels in tarrytown is a safe bet. Food is very good here and so is service! Originally came here with a groupon (look out for that) and had such a pleasant experience that I was back within 2 weeks. The specials are also delicious. Really enjoyed the gnocchi, potato soup, braised short rib sandwich. Wasn't crazy about their fancy grilled cheese however. The good: prices are surprisingly fair for a nice hotel in this area - service - specials - groupon The bad: I had one thing on the menu I didn't care for but other than that the food is pretty good

Lackluster. meh. tried this place for hudson valley rst week. The menu is well written- descriptive- def makes the food sound amazing. the food itself is "meh". apz: "Grilled Frisse, Candied Pork Belly, Shaved Manchego, Jansal Valley Pomegranate Honey Vinaigrette" what it was: dried pieces of pork belly sitting awkwardly next to wilted frisee with 2 giant pieces of cheese. "Sweet Corn and Porcini Beignet (VEGETERIAN) Coach Farms Goat Cheese, Asparagus, Golden Chanterelles" what it was- overly sweet donuts stuffed with a tiny amount of above mentioned. Main Course: "Pan Seared Filet of Venison Potato Roesti, Lingonberry Bone Marrow Emulsion"- what it was: venison (thank goodness it was properly cooked), literally coated with a think layer of sweet sauce-sitting atop a salty potato pancake- thankfully there was a healthy portion of swiss chard that was not mentioned in description. desserts: Pistachio Gelato Profiteroles White Chocolate and Caramel Hudson Valley Apple Crepe a la Mode Both were fine- very similar. The chairs were comfy. the wine was good. definitely- not a restaurant as it was that you were sitting in the hotel lobby. but I guess worth the $29 it costs for the 3 meals. Would not have tried this place had it not been rest week.

I broke my own rule of having expectations of a hotel restaurant. I was disappointed, for being the only customer in the dining room (Ha! A sign!) the service was slow and unattentive. My soup was bland, my salad had been steeped in too much dressing and was soggy when it arrived, my entree was just ok. My dining partner's drink was watered down, probably sat too long in the shaker with the ice before they served it. The quinoa side dish was not palatable and they gave a massive portion of it. Again I think it was a mistake eating here, and I should have eaten at the diner across the street. Probably would have saved $60 too.

Tried this place out for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week and it was OK. First off, it is a restaurant within the Double Tree hotel. However, in reality it is more like a little nook off the main lobby, almost feeling like an extension of the lobby itself. The wait staff was attentive with refilling the water but the wait times between ordering food and having it come out was absurd took almost 40min from the time we ordered to get our appetizer. The food itself was good, with the Venison being excellent. The restaurant week prix fix menu made it an affordable night but I do not think I will be returning here again.

I continue to love Bistro Z! My dinner here today was off of their Oktoberfest menu. I loved my sauerbraten; and the red cabbage could have been dessert. Split Pea Soup made me wax nostalgic. Fried Calamari was delightful and not at all chewy. The Gnocchi in Pumpkin Cream Sauce was so very good! I have had other standouts here over the past months, like beautifully seared scallops, and lamb chops which were also beautifully done. Desserts are out of this world! i look forward to each new rendition of Creme Brulee. I find the servers work very hard to please. The only thing that keeps me from giving Bistro Z 5 stars is the fact that the restaurant can sometimes feel like a no man's land, with servers apparently being dispatched to other parts of the hotel. Still - dining here continues to be a treat!

I'm going to have to give this 5 rather than 4 because they don't have 4.5 option and 4 would be too low. I came here on a group on like many others. I had the NY Strip Medium Rare and it was cooked wonderfully. I was delicious!!! The side of the mash was a bit basic/bland. The lobster ravioli stater was really good as well. My wife enjoyed the french onion soup but we were both surprised by the lamb which she order medium but came out rare. Don't know how that happened, but the staff responded very well to it and the manager( or what appeared to be the manager) came to us very apologetically and allow my wife to get an alternative dish complimentary and made sure a new order of the lamb was made correctly. This place gets 4.5 stars for that and I will definitely be returning with out a group on to try some of the other entrees.

Went here with a groupon and it was a very pleasant surprise. The restaurant (inside the Tarrytown Doubletree Hotel) is small and plain and honestly I did not expect much, but I was really impressed by presentation, delicious food and friendly service! Bistro is a misnomer, because the food level was fine dining. The wine list wasn't bad either. All in all, an excellent dining experience and I will definitely return.
(4)Heidi M.
Great food! Full of flavor! Steak was perfect. Potatoes and vegetables were cooked very well. Appetizers amazing! Service was slightly delayed but they completely made up for it! I will definitely return to this restaurant!

We chose this as our pick for restaurant week mostly bc we dont usaually go into tarrytown. We were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is located inside the Double Tree hotel. The aesthetics are simple and modern and clean. For our first courses we ordered the lobster bisque, the smoked salmon and dill and the charcuterie. The lobster bisque hands down was best. Creamy thick and flavorful. The others were ok. Main course was tuna steaks served asian style, roasted duck w quinoa and pork chop w sweet potato hash. Everything was very good. First of all the portions were huge, especially for restaurant week. And the menu was different from so many other participants so thats mainly why we ventured there. I cant say anything bad about any of our entrees. My duck was perfect. Crispy and tender and perfectly medium rare. There was nothing inventive about my dish but if ur gonna serve traditional duck breast this is how. We were all full and satisfied w leftovers. Dessert was orange creme brulee and the deconstructed smore. The creme brulee was lovely w a nice hint of orange. The smore was dry. Overall good experience. Very kind and attentive staff from servers to host to bartender. I would go back. Four stars for the generous portion during restaurant week.

This restaurant is friendly and inviting on the outside, but I wish i could say the same for the food and the experience. We went to Bistro Z recently on a Sunday for brunch and we were seated quickly. And then the waiting game began... it took close to 10 minutes for our server to come to our table. And when she came over, the first thing she said was "I'll be right back." After more waiting, she returned. To say she was not friendly is an understatement. We finally ordered and waited 30 minutes -- during which time we never got bread or water -- for the food. We noticed green mold on the bread of the steak sandwich, and after such a long wait we had enough. As you can imagine, we were all annoyed. We got the check and went somewhere else for brunch. Bistro Z is not set up for brunch.

The food was delicious !!! The crab cakes were delectable and the lamb chops was equally appetizing .... Our waiter was very pleasant and she knew what on the menu to recommend. All in all it was a nice night out with my significant other. He loved his selections and his drink.

I took my significant other here on Saturday as a fathers day celebration since we are having our 1st baby in the next couple of weeks. I purchased a $40 Groupon. We did not make a reservation but were seated within 15-20 minutes of waiting. Our waiter seemed nice and we got exactly what we wanted without a problem. the raisin bread is delish! 3 stars because 1) The serving of food was smaller than we expected. Well more smaller than what my significant other expected. I was good. and 2) Our server took longer than 20 minutes to provide us with dessert as well as with the check. My love had to get up twice to get someones attention for service. we unfortunately gave the waiter a reasonable tip anyway but I was not satisfied. Also #3, we could not figure out where the restaurant would be because it is within the premises of the hotel. There was only one sign showing us where the restaurant was and that was at the entrance. The food is overall yummy.

The food was good here, even though this restaurant is located in a hotel. We started with appetizers: the crab cakes were good, although with not enough remoulade sauce; there was a delicious citrus vinaigrette on the salad served with it. The duck ravioli were hard and not prepared very well. Other reviewers rated this very highly, but tonight's offering really missed the mark. Entrees included a perfectly prepared salmon filet and really hearty lamb chops. They were served with potatoes, and the ever-trendy but chewy and bitter kale. Desert was the chocolate explosion, which was a yummy but not overly-sweet chocolate cake with a chocolate ganache center, served with vanilla ice cream. Coffee was fresh pressed and very good. The food was really good, service was excellent, and the price was right with a groupon offer. What more do you need on a midweek evening?

My boyfriend and I recently dined at Bistro Z located in the Double Tree of Tarrytown, and I must say we were both pleasantly surprised! I saw a great deal for them on Groupon and decided to try it out since it was a $40 deal for a three course dinner for two, however, I really didn't know what to expect from a hotel restaurant. For starters, I ordered theOnion Soup Gratinée which was very tastey and fresh, perfectly melted gruyere cheese. My boyfriend ordered the baked brie cheese which came with a lovely lingonberry/almond sauce and fresh/warm whole wheat bread. For our entrees i ordered the chicken dish which came with a potato mash and veggies. My boyfriend ordered the steak which was also accompanied with mash potatoes and veggies. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and and seasoned just right. I would have never guessed a hotel restaurant could deliver such good food. Plus, the wait staff was great. A big shout out to our waitress Cara, who was just lovely. Oh, and we both ordered the sangria, one white and one red. The red one was definitely better than the white as i believe the white sangria had a bit too much orange juice mixed in. For dessert we shared the berry creme brulee`, which was so so good and that's saying a lot because 1. i'm not a big dessert person and 2. i'm not a big fan of creme brulee overall, my boyfriend was actually in shock that i ate most of it!! ;o) Overall, a delicious meal and a great Groupon deal! I would definitely go back again. p.s. Weather permitting definitely take advantage of their outdoor seating area.

For being a hotel at the edge of the Hudson river I was quite impressed by the menu choices and the steak special, which I did not have btw. And we $3 beers on tap you just can't go wrong. Choices are Stella, Captain Lawrence, Shock Top, Bud Light, and some other premium brews which I have never seen anywhere for that cheap! I had the Caesar Salad and the Pumpkin and Sage ravioli which comes as and app also. Quite good! If you're looking to hang out with out of towners other than Times Square and are in the area, do check it out.
(4)Matthew K.
I've been to Bistro Z twice for dinner now. I love delicious food and Bistro Z does not disappoint. The last time I had the scallops over risotto and the first time I had the pork loin. Both were fantastic and presentation was nice. Plus they have Captain Lawrence IPA on tap which was a big plus for me. From what I see in other reviews, you can get a restaurant.com discount which I will take advantage of next time. Hope you enjoy your meals at Bistro Z as much as I have!

i had a groupon and an elderly Dad. I called ahead to see if I would be able to get two eggs over easy during lunch time. the manager called me back and said "no problem, your Dad can have his eggs over easy anytime he comes in" I was so happy and I arrived promptly at 2pm the time I said I would be there. That was March 1 2015. We all got there and was seated. the place was empty except for two married women having a cozy lunch so I did not feel it was family friendly. We were all seated and proceeded to wait 10 minutes. Remember: THE PLACE WAS EMPTY except for the couple . When it was going on 12 minutes, my sister asked the man cleaning the table to get a waitress so we could at least order a coffee and the waitress just lazilly came over and looked resentful that she even had to come over. we ordered the drinks and i went over that my Dad could have his 2 eggs over light and she said NO he could not. I told her the manager said he could and I would not have been there if he could not have them She was nasty and rude then said" AH will have to ax the chef" then she stomped off. We just got up put our jackets on and got the hell out of there. this is definately NOT a family friendly place. Listen to me and the other reviewers and just let the people staying at the Hotel eat there. I had read Ryan D's review (right before mine) and I thought "it would not happen to me" and sure as hell it did. I bet we had the same nasty black waitress too as her behavior with him and with me was the same. I am also going to call the "manager" who had told me it would not be a problem. I am very glad I got up with my family and walked out. The Hostess was also totally worthless. Once we were seated, she just disappeared.
(1)Judy K.
Must have been an off night as the BBQ Wednesday special took forever - I was seated and no one waited on me. I complained to the manager but he gave excuses- then bought me a glass of wine. Shortly there after an older couple got up and left told me they weren't waiting any longer for their $21 hamburger! Others around me were disgruntled too. My server felt so bad - food was ok but not worth $21 for BBQ night... Should have gone into town instead of staying at the hotel.
(3)Lindsey B.
have come a few times. always adding new stuff to the menu as well as yummy specials. easy parking and in the summer they have outside seating. very quiet and relaxing dinner. would recommend

Exactly what the yelp stars say... meh. The service was meh, the food was meh, the ambiance was meh, the location was meh. Overall the experience was meh. I came here for restaurant week in March with a coworker. When you think of a bistro, you think swanky, something small and quaint, possibly half outside and half inside. This was inside of a hotel and lacked any luster. The food was bleh. My coworker had: double cream pumpkin bisque, lobster fettucini, and dark chocolate ganache. I had: sweet corn and porcini beignet, brick grilled poussin, and apple crepe a la mode. The double cream pumpkin bisque and the apple crepe a la mode were the only good tihngs. The lobster fettucine was flavorless and the dark chocolate ganache, way too rich without having anything to break up the chocolatey flavor. The beignets were just too much dough and not enough of anything else and the poussin was dried out and the sides to it were lack luster as i said before. The service wasn't that great either. Overall the experience wasn't the best. Glad I didn't spend real money and just spent restaurant week money on it.

Bistro Z is a little restaurant located inside the Doubletree in Tarrytown, but it could certainly be a stand alone restaurant and do quite well in my opinion. We called kind of late on a weeknight and asked what time they were open until and what time the kitchen closed and they told us to come on over and that the kitchen did close in less than an hour. I was skeptical because I didn't feel like being rushed through a meal but that was not the case at all. The little one was thrilled to have a cheeseburger (there's a pretty decent kid's menu) and actually said it was one of the best that had been consumed recently although that could have just been hunger talking. I had the crab cake appetizer which is big enough for two people with two generous sized crab cakes and a large salad which I'm told was delicious but I gave mine away. The crab cake was not my favorite crab cake ever but others at my table did enjoy it. I tend to prefer lump crab meat and this was more of the shredded type. It was good, just not my favorite. My entree more than made up for it. Myself and the hubby had the special of the evening a crusted venison loin with creamy farro and swiss chard. I absolutely loved it. The venison was cooked perfectly and the creamy farro was some sort of version of a risotto but with one of my favorite grains. The swiss chard was a little on the salty side but I still ate everything on my plate and was very happy. Others at the table had steak (they loved it) and others had the sea bass crusted with crabmeat which received raves. Dessert was also enjoyable however the portion sizes are a little strange. One member of the party had some chocolate cake thing that looked more like fudge but it was very small. My brother had the Doubletree ice cream sandwich since after all their cookies are supposed to be amazing and he loves them. I had the sweet potato and maple creme brulee. It was more like sweet potato pie filling with no crust and it was a huge portion. I couldn't even finish half but it was satisfying. All in all this is not a bad place if you can get past obviously being inside a hotel with children running screaming through the hallway just outside the restaurant. I think I can overlook it if the quality stays that good.

Had a lovely dinner here on 7/18/14. Wonderful food, great service. The Chilean Sea Bass was great. I look forward to eating there again.

We got a groupon because of the recent good reviews. We were quite disappointed. We went on a Saturday evening (6:00 PM). There was very little parking space; eventually we found a spot. Our groupon was for 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, & 1dessert. The waiter changed the parameters. He announced that "You can order anything, the groupon is good for $85.00." The items we would have preferred getting added up to more than this, so we cut back somewhat. My wife had the arugula salad, which she enjoyed (although I thought it had too much dressing). The strip steak was just OK. I had the duck ravioli, which was hard & tasteless. The swordfish, as main course, was abysmal. The service was perfunctory. We did not enjoy our experience.
(2)Yubem B.
Very good ambience and attentative waiters. The appetizers are average but the steaks were good (superior than Stone Manor which specializes on steaks).

I don't know what is with all the "meh" and mixed reviews. My fiancé and I had a great dining experience. This place is defiantly a gem, started off with the French onion soup and crab cakes. The soup has a nice layer of melted soft crusty cheese and the flavor was very nice. The crab cakes were great and served with a nice mesclun salad. For entree I had the scallops, they were big beautiful sea scallops with so much flavor and not to mention served with a white bean gratin and escarole. My fiancé had the (I think ribeye) steak with mashed, asparagus, and two thick onion rings. Wow what piece of meat that was! Cooked and seasoned perfectly! Knocked us right out of the water. Also had the salted pecan caramel cheesecake. --- wow!! That's all I have to say about that. All in all, the food is great, the servers are respectful. And the menu is original and creative. Keep in mind it is in a hotel lobby so don't expect a river view, or a ultra modern decor. However, the hotel is beautiful and the lobby was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Come open minded and leave happy. It's worth it.

Bistro Z was underwhelming to say the least. I went because my girlfriend's parents had a Groupon they had to get rid of. We got there for a 6:30 reservation on a Friday night, and there was a whopping 1 other person in the dining room. Good start. The service was extremely slow and inattentive (save for the people that kept filling up my water- thanks!). By the time we left around 8 there were a few more tables in the dining room. I wonder for a restaurant that has that many proteins on the menu how they make money with the lack of customers. In any case, I got the duck, ordered medium-rare. The duck was overcooked (center piece was medium, rest was even more overcooked), and was drowned in the accompanying sauce. Worst of all, there was no hint of crispy skin, anywhere. Just flabby, flabby duck skin. Probably the saddest thing to ever get while eating duck. I didn't have high hopes for this hotel restaurant, save for the semi-adventurous menu. Oh well, I won't be back.

Excellent Restaurant Week March 2014. Corn / crab soup & beef / artichoke ravioli apps as well as the scallop main course were all excellent. All had subtle gourmet touches. Both wines by the glass were good enough, with very fair prices. Service excellent. Only downside, the reason for only 4 stars is the ambiance is hotel all the way. But the food was really good, especially for a Restaurant Week menu. Will be returning.
(4)Tech P.
Nice place. The servers were very friendly and the dessert was great. Definitely a nice place to come and sit to have a nice evening.

Wonderful dining experience on a Sunday evening. Food VG to Excellent (loved the Sea Bass) Service professional & courteous. Very reasonable - not overpriced. A hidden gem inside a hotel.

This will probably go down as one of my worse restaurant experiences ever. Bought a groupon to the place and visited on a Saturday night. We first had to wait several minutes to even ask if we were being helped even though the restaurant was not crowded. We then had to wait an equal amount of time till we were served. Bad service continued throughout the night. Entrees were brought out before our appetizers were even half finished and to wrap things up, we were charged for items on our bill that we didn't consume. They did rectify it once we pointed it out. Now to what most of us go to a restaurant for. The food. This was a giant disappointment. We had crab cakes and the duck confit ravioli for our appetizers. The crab cakes were highly ok but the ravioli had so much apple cider vinegar it was almost inedible. Then came the entrees. I had the lamb chops. While they were cooked as asked, the taste could best be described as blah. Same goes for the potato and greens they were served with. My friend had the sea bass. This was made with potatoes and a thin watery broth. Needless to say, she barely ate it. Now we are the kind who read the dessert menu first, but on this occasion, we decided to skip it alltogether given the quality of the food thus far. Please save your money and time for something better. Would not recommend this place at all, Groupon or not.

An impressive hotel restaurant. The food was terrific and the service was very attentive.
(4)Chas F.
They change their menu quite often so if they don't have the stuff I had that's why. I LOVED the coconut chicken soup! The chicken with mushrooms were also very yummy and the spring salad. The kids chicken tenders were surprisingly good and loved the honey mustard. It's a good place to try atleast once and if you're stating at the doubletree it's nice to be lazy and just eat there then wobble back to your room. But expect to put a pretty big dent in your wallet!

I came here for Hudson Valley restaurant week 2015 and do not recommend it. There are specials that lower the prices even on regular days so the 29.95 restaurant week dinner was not any special deal. The food was simply uninspired. The presentation was great but the taste seemed like everything had come out of a can or the freezer. The crab and lobster bisque was overwhelmingly tomato flavored. The tuna steak was served swimming in a tomato sauce as well. There was nothing Nutella about the Nutella bread pudding except for a streak of Nutella on the plate. The bread pudding itself was tough and crusty rather than smooth.

Had a lovely dinner here on 7/18/14. Wonderful food, great service. The Chilean Sea Bass was great. I look forward to eating there again.

Lackluster. meh. tried this place for hudson valley rst week.

(4)Diana C.

Will never come back here again, at least I had a groupon and didn't pay full price.

i had a groupon and an elderly Dad.

(4)Batul T.

But expect to put a pretty big dent in your wallet!

have come a few times. always adding new stuff to the menu as well as yummy specials. easy parking and in the summer they have outside seating. very quiet and relaxing dinner. would recommend
