Most of the reviews seemed a bit older and so perhaps the food is now better, or I lucked out, but for our table of 5, all of us enjoyed our food. Begin : 3.5 / 5 (I hope they add decimals, I hate picking between 3 or 4) went down to 3 instead because the bathroom grossed me out for being in such a nicer place. We walked in and although we reserved for 4, 5 of us showed, we asked to switch it and there wasn't even a wait (despite how absolutely crowded it was) and were told our table would be ready immediately, and we could either go sit or check in at the bar. My family, being..well..my family, opted for the bar. It was a nice smaller bar, and the bartenders were incredibly friendly despite how busy they were making drinks for a bunch of the waitresses I believe. After getting our drinks we went to our table. The dining area was completely crowded, and the buffet area even busier (I took a peek in to see what that was like). We met our waitress pretty quickly, I wish I could remember her name for the review, but she was incredibly friendly as was the hostess who led us there. After glancing over the menu (and staring at the incredibly high prices) we made our decisions. For appetizers we ordered the mushrooms, as well as Shrimp. For our meals we ordered the Chicken Oscar x3 and Roasted Turkey x2. All of the meals came with a salad + 1 side, I had Rice Pilaf, 3 had Sweet Potato Mashed, and 1 had twice baked. Before our food came I went to go wash my hands in the restroom, I was kind of taken aback... the entire restaurant was spotless and perfect until I hit this room. The toilets appeared to not be cleaned in hours (or all day), and the garbage was looong overdue to be taken out, as paper towel was spilling out all over the floor. The sink top had water all over it, and I was very disappointed that it was so disgusting. I can understand with so many people inside a few things falling behind, but this was just a bit much. The sit-down stalls were what I would personally consider unusable as well, I sure wouldn't sit on them.. I washed my hands and planned, and returned to my table. The appetizers came out without too much of a wait, and they were acceptable. The shrimp was very plump and delicious, however there was only 4 (for 10 dollars), so it was a bit costly. The sauce it came with also seems a bit watered down and bland for the cost, but it was still very good shrimp overall. The mushrooms, although I don't eat them, pleased everyone who did, and they had no complaints about them. Our salads came out shortly after, not much to report on that, a salad is a salad. It was all fresh ingredients and was everything I'd ever expect a salad to be. They were delivered with a big bread basket as well, the bread was also everything I'd expect bread to be. Our meals came out after a wait that was very appropriate for the amount of people in the restaurant, so no complaints for service or time at all. Everyone loved what they ordered. My chicken was done PERFECT, it was so juicy and full of flavor. The sauce was excellent, as was the crab meat topping. The asparagus it came with was very thick and fresh but I feel that could have been cooked a little better. It came with a side of seasonal veggies that were cooked well enough but lacking some flavor I felt. After finishing our meals the waitress showed up with an entire tray of the days desserts, 2 of us chose to share one, I believe it was "Salted Caramel Crunch" or something, although 4 of us ended up taking bites. The two of us who ordered it liked it, I found it to be a bit strong on the taste but still very good. One disliked it and felt it was too strong to even enjoy. Bill came, super expensive as we thought. Were we satisfied with the food? Oh absolutely, it was amazing. But was it worth the cost? Not quite. But it was still great. Also I feel the busboy or whoever is in charge of cleaning should maybe check the restrooms more frequently during busy days. I took an image of the garbage with a some of the stuff on the ground, not the rest of it though. All in all 3.5.

Place is dated but the food was good, waiter was friendly and efficient and it is moderately priced. Ask for a booth off the bar as it is much more private. We had a party of five and only one wasn't thrilled. Her fettuccine Alfredo was just ok...

The decor is not that great. If you are looking to have a quiet conversation, there are booths and you can request that area, but they are not too special. Their seafood tends to be on the overlooked side. I have heard good things about their lunch menu, but I have not had the chance to go then.

Shrimp was pretty good but quite expensive. For 21 bucks I want to be full not looking for more especially after a bowl of New England clam chowder which was very good. All in the food was very good but you don't get what you pay for proportion wise.

I was at Bohn's for an all day meeting recently. Six hours is a long time to spend in any place, let alone a smallish room so I will be charitable. The room was okay. There's no other way to put it. The organization I was working with booked a much larger room and we got bumped. Not a big deal except that the room was not ideal for what we were attempting to accomplish. Normally, during a meeting, I expect the wait staff to check in to make sure that everything was going well. They may have, but I did not notice it. We ordered off the menu and, this being the first Friday of Lent, I dutifully ordered a fish fry with very low expectations. Luckily for me, my expectations were well exceeded. Yea! In addition, it seemed that everyone was pleased with their meal. Would I make the trek from Buffalo to Batavia to dine at this establishment? Probably not. Would I gladly meet a friend for lunch or dinner here? You bet!

Where to begin . . . The decor is awful. It looks as though the restaurant hasn't been updated in 50 years. I ordered the fettucini alfredo and it was absolutely horrible. It was soupy and had no taste. NONE. It tasted like a noodle with some sort of sauce on it but you wouldn't be able to tell what it was because it was tasteless. Take the time to go elsewhere, even if it's a little longer ride to Rochester or Buffalo. The service was OK, but not great.

If I could give this restaurant less than one star, I would. I was here for a rehearsal dinner and no one in the room could eat their meal. The chicken had the consistency of cafeteria chicken nuggets, the "mushroom" sauce tasted like flour and water mixed together with a couple mushrooms thrown in, the vegetables were overcooked, and the potato was either instant or as old as the building itself. If this meal had been served to me in a hospital cafeteria I would've been disappointed. In addition to the embarrassingly awful food, no one came out from the kitchen to ask why every plate was sent back nearly untouched. Stay far, far away from this place.

Surprisingly good food. I really didn't know what to expect when my family stopped here for dinner. As the other reviews note, the decor (circa 1980s) and ambiance (there isn't any, really) leaves much to be desired. I figured the food would follow suit and ordered something "safe" - roast beef a weck. How can you screw up a sandwich? My goodness - BOHN's delivered. The sandwich was outstanding. My husbands fish fry - superb. The chicken parm - fantastic. Alfredo - good, too. I was completely taken off guard. This is a diamond in the rough.

We attended Bohn's for my father 60th Birthday party on a Friday evening. We had a small room in the back. We all had a good time. Only a few things that I could point out to do better. First off my steak was not cooked right. I know that I am confusing to people that I order a Filet well done but at the same time you should know how to cook it correctly. Also, the server forgot a few things, and I was thirsty most of dinner.
