Surprisingly good delivery Chinese-American food for around the area. Compared to some of the other places, the orange chicken/general tso, isn't just fried dough ball but actually have some white chicken in them that isn't dried out.

  • Marcus J.

Great service, very nice place, and above all, the food is DELISH! Just moved out here, and I can say HANDS DOWN that was the BEST General Tso's chicken I've had in a good while. And when I mean every single piece was good, EVERY. SINGLE. PIECE. WAS. GOOD. I cannot emphasis it enough. I live directly across the street from China Delight, so it's always a pleasure doing business with them.

Good service. Good food. Attendant speaks Spanish and apparentlyfor the area we are in that's a plus. Shrimp and broccoli yummmmmmmmmmmmy

Anyone who claims that this food is even remotely decent knows absolutely nothing about Chinese, or any other food for that matter. Absolutely atrocious! Never again, not even for boiled water!

  • Jeremy M.

Beef and tofu/bean curd are mediocre at best. Chicken dishes are pretty good. Be aware that the default combo comes with pork fried rice and a pork spring roll; they will substitute veggie rice and a veggie roll, but you've got to ask.

  • Jonathan F.

Food poisoning!! Ordered general tso chicken and a spring roll at 10pm, woke up at 3am barfing my brains out.

I made a vow to not order chinese food last year, after learning more about how unhealthy the food actually can be. However, some times you break rules and I am happy I did. I trust family run chinese restaurants where the family and employees actually eat their food. They may not eat what the popular orders ,but they do eat the food which is prepared in the same vicinity. I am also very impressed with their delivery service and their friendly demeanor. Every time I order my food is on my door step within 10-15 minutes. NYC has thousands of take-outs but I am happy to live close to China Delight.

I've ordered twice and I think I can officially call this my go to spot. The dumplings are a little better fried than steamed here and I usually like the latter. The wonton soup is really something amazing. I've never had one that was so delicious. The boneless spare ribs were a little sweeter than I would've liked. The fried yellow banana was good but also way too sweet and dripping in oil. Pork fried rice is delicious. There are a ton of chinese restaurants in the area but try this one!

  • George G.

The sesame chicken dish is absolutely delicious. Usually, the boss lady will recommend pork fried rice to go along with it. Great idea. It's a huge portion that I always manage to finish in one sitting 'cause it's so good. I highly recommend it.

this place is so good!! employees are always friendly and kind. and some children around here, so cute they were always crying when I there lol

  • Robert R.

I actually really enjoy the service here. It seems like your typical chinese take out spot, that you can find in any neighborhood in NY, but it's more than just that. They actually use real meat, not that mystery meat that you get in other places, and can't help but blame yourself, cause you know, you only paid five dollars. The service is prompt, the food is yummy, and I have yet to get sick. Awesome!

Given that I live in the area and I know what the food situation is looking like around here, I get that a high rating usually means "tolerable and edible" when it comes to Sunset Park,... THAT said I am not a fan of Chinese food, but the mood hit and I turned to my trusty Yelpers. This spot has such rave reviews that I felt I couldn't go wrong. Well, I had a menu on hand from my door collection and called them up, no answer. I repeated this process 5 times, before turning to the internet and finding them on Seamless, GrubHub, and Delivery. Not one of these places had the french fries available on the menu, even though it was on their menu that was left at my door. So I decided to substitute and requested an order of white rice with my meal and in the directions I asked for fries. An hour later my food arrives, and I am happy because I smell french fries! Finally a Chinese place that listens and has great reviews?! YAY!!! Until I open my bag... Eggroll, container of rice, and big container of FOOD. Hm? Ohhhh they let me keep my $1 order of clumpy crusty white rice, and gave me a tiny order of fries instead of my fried rice?! Are they kidding me?! If there was a price difference why not call and confirm that it would be paid? No way a tiny order of fries costs as much as a qt of fried rice either... Why wouldn't I pay for the items I WANTED?! And of course I couldn't place my order via phone in the first place to avoid the problem.... but I also couldn't complain for them to fix it because they NEVER answer the phone! So fine, I suck it up and share the fries with my daughter, until I bite into my raw eggroll and raw chicken. EFF this place. I can't believe this place has a 4.5 star rating. I figured my food would at least live up to the hype since the customer service didn't... I feel so betrayed by my fellow Yelpers :( I trusted you guys and you did this to me. How COULD you?

  • Candice J.

HANDS DOWN!!! Best Chinese food in NYC! The owners are polite and always accommodate me and do whatever they can to make my meal great and make me happy!

  • Caitlin M.

I order from here at least once a week via Seamless because it's quick, easy, and the prices are good. It's not the best Chinese I've ever had, but they definitely get the job done, and I keep coming back, which I guess says something. Also, the delivery guys are always nice, which is always a plus.

  • Phil M.

Excellent quality and service. We ordered via Seamless and received our order within 20 minutes. The food - chicken lo mein and sweet & sour chicken - was hot and delicious. We would definitely recommend China Delight to anyone looking for quality Chinese food and impeccable customer service.

If your looking for great Chow Fun or Mei Fun (Chinese Noodles) this is the place to come! They also have other terrific dishes to sample. The one dish that absolutely blew me away was the Chefs special suggestion " The Perfect Match" it has large shrimp fresh scallops in mixed vegetables in garlic sauce. Its absolutely AMAZING! Their Chicken and french fries are fantastic and their fried rice is pretty good. I absolutely love this stuff! :) They make it fresh daily and they are pleasant folks. Its good stuff give em a try I am sure you will like. :)

I've only had delivery from here, but out of all the Chinese delivery I've had, this place stands out. Their pork fried dumplings are amazing, perfect hangover food, and their specials are tasty and you get a lot for your money. They have a pretty varied selection - even a pizza egg roll? My friend got it, I can't remember his thoughts, but the fact that they have it says something. Not to mention that it's one of the few places around here that I've had where they cook the broccoli in beef and broccoli to steamed perfection, not overcooked shriveled broccoli. This place is definitely my go-to for Chinese.

  • Christopher L.

The food was fine, just not exciting or delicious in any particular way. It was pretty bland, and not in that healthy way (like Kashi); just plain bland. Maybe their meat dishes are better (I'm a vegetarian), but I don't plan on ordering from here again. Also, the lack of a credit option was frustrating as the whole point of ordering-in was so I didn't have to leave my house...

  • Dr. Indiana J.

I've tried most of the chinese places in Sunset Park and with the exception of Vegetarian Delight (which I believe is actually in Park Slope but will deliver into Sunset) this is hands down the best. The food is prepared exceptionally quickly and is pretty damn good. Their fried appetizers generally aren't great, but they do a mean broccoli with garlic sauce, have nice dumplings and have the best General Tso's I've ever had, perfectly cooked and nicely crispy. While nothing is exceptional, for the neighborhood it's the best you can get. Also, the place is pretty clean and the woman who runs the counter is extremely friendly and speaks both English and Spanish in addition to Chinese.
