If your in the mood for a quick sandwich then this is your spot. The "Walker" is great and I usually get that with a fresh fruit juice. They seem to be one of the only local places that is consistently stocked up with fruit they list on their menu as well. Plus the staff is always friendly and they remember my name. Gotta love that.

Lunchbox is the greatest. I only drop by and work there in the summer when school's out but enjoy it every time summer comes around. Its my personal office from 10 to 2 every day. Great coffee, great smoothies and the sandwiches are really well made as well. The best is the atmosphere and definitely the wifi.

Looks like there have been a lot of improvements since I last visited. Kind of feels like the old Lunch Box again! Overall organization, professionalism, and quality are back to an enjoyable level. I will definitely be returning more often.

This place is hit or miss, hence why I gave it a 3. Sometimes my salads are great, and other times, the serve old lettuce. But they are one of few restaurants that actually deliver to my office, so I am forced to keep this place in my lunch rotation. Go if desperate, not by choice.

Food: No Flavor Service : No Flavor Ive ordered from the menu more than 6 times. Usually at the last minute and lack of choices. Each time I am disappointed with the poor service over the telephone and the poor product delivered. It's lacking flavor, there is something missing. Sorry Lunchbox I'm taking my business elsewhere. Step it up.

Lunchbox, sadly, has gone down hill. Where did all the old employees go?! It's like someone just came in and fired all of them. Super bummer because they're what made the place so nice. At least Michael's still there (sometimes). P.S. Fix your wobbly tables, please!!!

Lunchbox Brooklyn was everything I wanted on a lazy Tuesday afternoon. It is exactly what you expect and desire in a cute cafe (?) in Greenpoint - laid back, unpretentious, tasty! I ordered a small mixed green salad. I got grilled chicken, avocado, tomatoes and chick peas added on, and it only cost like $7.25. This thing is way more plentiful than it looks...I was starving but couldn't finish it all. I also got a banana smoothie to go with my salad, and that was delicious as well. The man behind the counter was very friendly, and will definitely be one of the major reasons why I'll be excited to return!

My entire experience with this restaurant has been sullied by the Preoccupied Counter Girl with Ironic Glasses. I will never, ever tip you. You are terrible at your job, you're rude, you're lazy, you're ridiculous. I'm only sorry that your unacceptable behavior affects the tips that your co-workers take home each day. I used to come into Lunchbox 4 times a week, sometimes twice a day for breakfast and lunch--always tipping generously. Until a weekday morning that it took 45 minutes to receive my bagel because you couldn't trouble yourself in an empty restaurant to check the back area to see if jUST MAYBE the person who ordered the now-cold bagel was sitting there. And then, AND THEN, gave me an attitude about it. So, that day for lunch when i came in to pick up a sandwich--and you chose to finish a conversation with your friend leaned across the counter about some trite interpersonal issue for a minute or two before acknowledging your customers--I decided that the tip I left you that morning for my cold bagel would suffice for the day. You then proceeded to carry on ANOTHER personal conversation at an intentionally loud volume with your friend while on the job about "rude bitches who don't tip", while I--and other customers--stood by to marvel at the unprofessionalism. It's laughable. I, like everyone else in their 20's, have paid my dues in the restaurant business behind a counter. You aren't entitled to tips. You earn tips. Or in this case I suppose you don't. I'd continue stopping her for lunch, but this seems like the sort of crew who'd have no reservations about spitting in food. This is an embarrassment to an otherwise great place. Great vegan sandwiches, consistently good soup, and the salads are the best in the neighborhood--if you can put up with the elementary BS behind the counter.

Not sure what on earth has happened here but its not good. Seemingly overnight several of the wonderful long time staff are gone and the whole vibe of the place has changed. No longer the place that I've grown to love and where I've gone religiously for the last several years. The coffee has gone back to being inconsistent - generally dependent on who is making it. And when its bad it borders on undrinkable. The food has also gone downhill and the salads which I used to have multiple times a week have made me feel sick the last several times I've had them. It seems that someone made some really bad decisions. Truly a shame.

Ordered delivery at my husband's suggestion, wanted the Norman, a buffalo chicken and blue cheese sandwich with avocado and hot cherry peppers on a roll. The bread was good, but the rest of the sandwich was sliced deli chicken (I think), no blue cheese, a whole lot of salad greens, about 3 pepper pieces, some avocado and way too much mayo. Nothing "buffalo" about it. I called them thinking they must have sent the wrong sandwich, was told "sorry you didn't like it" and that was that. One strike and they're out.

I had a soup and sandwich delivered, the soup tasted like it was out of a can (chicken, potato and something) and my ham sandwich had 2 slices of ham. Ingredients in the sandwich were fresh but it was nothing special. Factor in the almost hour wait and I don't see any reason to try this one again.

Hit or Miss. My turkey sandwich did not have enough turkey. (that's what I'm paying for guys.) And Not (!) enough avocado. Bring up your game baby.

The new homies have the smoothie game down tight and if you ask for well done bacon it's never half-cooked. Problems solved.

I felt torn between giving this place two stars or three. I'm giving it two because even though the food is good, the people behind the counter are not friendly and worst of all this place is slowwww. And when I say slow I don't mean like ten minutes- I mean 20-30 minutes for a salad. A salad! And this is not a sit-down restaurant where that's ok. It's like a deli salad bar, but for whatever reason it takes them an obscene amount of time to make one. I went here once and it was really slow but I gave it the benefit of the doubt by going back- never again! Unless like the world is ending and I have nothing left to do but wait for food. On a positive note, the smoothies are really delicious. But you'll have to wait quite awhile for one, even if there's no line.

The Lunchbox is amazing. I find myself only reviewing places I love and this is one of them. Everyone who works here is great, the food is the best, and it's always been the most convenient place for me to eat. Even when I run into the owners, they're incredibly nice and remember their regulars. I can't understand those who would trash talk this place. They had a short run of inept employees, but those people have been gone for at least a year. The whole staff, -- behind the counter, in the kitchen, the delivery guys -- are all top notch. You won't find ANY place like this in the WIlliamsburg/Greenpoint area any time soon.

Just came here recently and I must say that my sandwich was ridiculously good. I had the Richardson with the roast beef, avocado, apples, and other things on the ciabatta bread. It's such a nice mix of tastes. Actually, all of the sandwiches look incredible. It reminds me of an underground Lenny's or No 7. Subs. Creative sammies are always classy and hit the spot when I want lunch. I've only been here once, but I think I'll come back to try another type of sandwich when I'm in the area. Maybe when I get a haircut at Tomcats... It's pretty addictive... sandwiches and haircuts...
