Stopped in here the other day and had The Raging Bull (ham, cappy, salami, pepperoni, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, roasted peppers, oil & vinegar) $7.99 It was good, but I thought the hero roll was pretty weak. It reminded me of a Blimpie hero rolll.............

Best deli out there! Johnny and his family run an amazing establishment. I have never eaten anything I did not like here. The food is always fresh and insanely good! We order at least twice a week!

I had a few good experiences in this place when it was the owner taking my order. When it was the kids he employed, not so much. I finally had to stop going after numerous wrong orders. The last straw was waiting at the counter to order & neither or the employees behind the counter wanted to end their conversation to take my order.

I can't comment about the cleanliness or the service, but we ordered a bunch of sandwiches for lunch. I had the Angry Bird sub and it was so good! The almond crusted chicken was clutch. A couple of people got the Godzilla, which also looked good. One person had the Gym Rat wrap and salad, which were both lackluster. The bread was fresh and good. I would go for a specialty roll here over cold cuts or salads.

I recently order 2 -3 foot Heros and 20 wraps for my daughters birthday party. The 3 foot Heros tasted great and a bunch of guests asked where we got them because they were some much better than your regular Italian or American party Heros . The wraps were great also...if you haven't tried house of Heros you should it's the best wraps and sandwiches around !

This place has awesome heros and soups. I had the italian hero and it was excellent!!! The tomato soup was great as well, full of flavor and a touch of cream. The heros are so big, you can really split one between two people. Its a little more expensive then Subway, but 10 times better. Go for it.

Every time I go here, I'm absolutely satisfied with my order. The guy who works the register is always very nice. Idk if he's the owner, but he's always grateful for the business. It's a little small on the inside, but they do free delivery so that's a plus. Thanks guys!

I am shocked to see this place getting good reviews. I went in and it's so dirty I was afraid to eat the under cooked egg sandwich I ordered. Just because it's boars head doesn't mean you will not get sick. We ordered three egg sandwiches and not one of them was correct. Now how hard is scrambled, over easy and well done. It's a egg! They might be trying but someone needs a short order class.

After hearing from so many people How great this place was and how the food is all made from scratch I decided to stop in and try one of their famous wraps. I had the Cajun grilled Chicken wrap. OMG!! AMAZING !!! The best by far I have had in a long time. The chicken was super fresh and tasty and it was huge. GO THERE!!

This place actually cares about the quality and taste of their food. Sandwich portions are generous and all the ingredients taste fresh. The meat is tender and juicy. House of heroes use just the right amount of sauce also. Service is friendly as well. The joint doesn't look too appealing from the outside but don't judge a book by its cover. The heroes are really great.

We have been ordering company lunches from House of Heros lately and YUM! Their bread is so fresh, they include avocado slices on a lot of things and they have yet to make any mistakes on our very large orders - all items marked meticulously so we know everyone has the right sandwich. The portions are huge and they send a few big bags of chips gratis with our 15 sandwich orders. Whenever the company is going to pay for lunch, everyone goes "House of Heros"! The place itself looks like a hole in the wall, but inside it is immaculate and the people are wonderful! We are sooooo happy!

so when the new owners took over at first everything was good they have a large selection of steam table items but a very limited cold cut choice I have yet to find a deli in my area that I can say is a great deli twice I have ordered sandwich's form this place and received rotten salami that was brown and smelled awful the first time (my daughter gagged after a bite) the owner tried to tell me that happens all the time to salami it always turns brown after you open it ..... Hello, I'm Italian I have been eating salami since I was in my high chair it only turns brown if its old and what about the rotten smell !!!! I have ordered my sandwich asking for the meats to be sliced thin (which it should be anyway) and was told that the meat was already pre sliced in the morning so I asked if he would make an exception and slice some fresh for me and then I found out that all their meat is sliced and package as soon as the get it so there was nothing for them to slice for me fresh... I don't know about you but I think a deli should always slice the meats fresh when ordered or else you wind up with old rotten meat on your sandwich I can see slicing a few orders before lunch so people do not have to wait too long but not all of it (yuck...hence ....the rotten salami)also the portions are very small and all cut way to thick and when is anyone in the deli world gonna realize that the bread makes the sandwich soft mushy hero bread is a no no I am so sick of deli owners thinking they can just open a deli with no clue... please I beg you do some research... read the reviews... take a class... its not rocket science the deli is all about the sandwich and it has to be good...!!!!!

As delis go, House of Heros is where I go for a good sandwich. Try "The Babe" or "The Gobbler". They just need to make sure they keep the Dr.Pepper stocked.

If you are tired of paying through the nose for a classic deli sandwich, than look no further than house of heros in hicksville .For a great price ,thier heros are jam packed with meat and fresh cheeses.they also have a great friendly staff.

Great breakfast! My office is located nearby in Hicksville and we love ordering House of Heros for for breakfast almost everyday. They have great breakfast and lunch sandwiches and the guys who work there are really nice.
