Good food at decent prices. No complaints! Wish there was a bit more space to dine in but no big deal. Still a great place!

I've been going to coral for yearssssssss! It's been a local staple. But I've never really had a major complaint about them until today-I went in to order 2 breakfast sandwiches. The guy at the register taking the order wasn't the regular guys that's always there and he looked extremely lost. I order my sandwiches, people order things after me, I'm waiting, I stepped out, I'm waiting and all those people get their food before me. The waitress there tells me my food is ready and I tell her I ordered 2 sandwiches. She says no that there's one sandwich. She tells me what it is and it's totally wrong. What ends up happening is the guy who took my order messed up and only ordered one sandwich. But he mixes both sandwiches together. So he tells the waitress to take what's in between my sandwich and put it on the type of bread I wanted!!!!! And he tells her this in Spanish! Are you kidding me!!!! (And I know Spanish fluently!!!!!!) I couldn't believe it. There was a customer next to me who out loud said ,"omg." That is just terrible, terrible customer service. You really thought you could pull a fast one on me. I immediately said, "No, you're making me a new sandwich." When my sandwich arrived, I opened it right then and there. And I still had to wait for the other sandwich. For a to-go order, I was there for a good 30 mins. The reality is this place will not suffer much from my review but be forewarned. When certain people aren't there that place is terrible.

Again, I see reviews from pure imbeciles classifying this former uptown winner as 'classic diner fare'. It's current incarnation is pure culinary cluelessness. Any fairly decent diner smokes what this has become. The people who work there are just not interested in producing simple, good American food. I'm guessing now, but it's pretty clear that the same people who ran this little uptown oasis a few years back, when it was a pretty solid two floor establishment, are nowhere to be found today. The menu, like the restaurant itself, shrunk drastically. The cooking and the ingredients suffered and the current staff seem completely clueless about the very food they're serving. A simple question about whether the day's special, Vegetable Lasagna, had red or white sauce took a three minute conference to answer. It was red, by the way. What we did eventually order, stuffed peppers (to which the wait staff couldn't say what they were stuffed with) sucked in a cheap, lackluster food cart-ish kind of way. The kitchen has no idea that a turkey club doesn't get grill fried artificial turkey and a single slice of bacon for the four quarters to share. The first step to good food is someone has to give a crap about what they're serving you. Unfortunately, this imitation American fare is about as close as you're going to get to a decent coffee shop/'diner' meal in these parts and it's got a way to go before it gets to honestly decent. It's just not good, despite the OK reviews. Wish it was.

Good place if you just need a quick meal. Reasonable prices. Food was mediocre but they have a large selection. I would probably eat there again because of its convenience. Also, it's cash only! So keep that in mind.

Veggie Burger is like Dr. Prager's but they grill it good (I add cheese). And the grilled cheese on whole wheat is a great hangover meal go to.

This is my goto spot in the neighborhood. Staff is super friendly and I like the little interactions as a regular customer. Food is very good, I normally go for the salads, burritos or daily specials. They are very fast, too, both for dining in and pickup.

Standard diner fare, without the guilt of going to an IHOP or a Dennys. My fiance and I live down the street and we order breakfast here (at 3 in the afternoon) frequently. The food isn't stellar, but like I said, it's diner fare. The staff are very sweet, the food always comes super quickly and out of all of the times that we've ordered from them (dozens) they've only screwed the order maybe twice. Their fajita burrito is one of my favorites, just ask for extra salsa and sour cream--they've started giving smaller portions of each and the burritos are fairly large. Their salads are also big and fairly good. My one big complaint is that I used to be able to get a breakfast wrap with a meat and two vegetables on it for $5.50 and now it's somewhere around $7, which isn't worth it considering I prefer to have just bacon, egg, and cheese on mine.

This place is top notch by diner standards- especially for delivery. What happened with their gas( this has been going on for WEEKS)? They have no lights and I'm not sure if it's because they aren't open why I'm craving them so much. Coral come back!

Simple Diner ran with the serious approach by a Greek owner with a commitment to great Homestyle food Try the Lasagna or An Omelet Background info they filmed a scene Of Sidney Lumet's 1999 film "Gloria" Sharon Stone

A nice little breakfast stop. Small, cramped space but worth it for the inexpensive and yummy food.

  • Giannina R.

Typical diner food. I've had their French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon with a side of fruit salad--always gets here fresh. Delivery is within the minimum time posted on seamless. Their strawberry milkshakes are good too!

  • Kate D.

The food is all right. I order a lot of omelets from here since they have a good selection. I'm a little frustrated with Coral though; I always request no home fries or French fries with my omelets. The frying oil upsets my stomach and when they package it all together even eating just the omelet will make me sick. However they NEVER follow my instructions to not include the home fries! I'm happy to pay the same price, I don't know why they can't just not include all the fried stuff. It's pretty frustrating, especially when there are so few dining options in this area. Coral, please stop ignoring the "special instructions" box on Seamless! It makes me think you don't give a damn about your customers!

Not bad. Good for a quick bite to eat. I think they've recently changed owners. The quality of the service and the food has gone down.

Yo this spot is poppin'!! I have ordered from here on seamless, food comes hot and in generous proportions every time. I've had the shell steal with platanos/French fries and broccoli. I've never devoured broccoli so quickly in my life, it was perfectly steamed, not overlooked and dreary green, but bright green and super flavorful! Sooo good. I've also had pasta dishes, the Cajun shrimp and chicken was good but could have been actually Cajun, it's not hot. The steak and spinach penne was tremendously good. And the burgers are huge and delicious as well. They also give the option of turkey bacon which is awesome cuz I don't eat pork. This place is the diner to go to if craving diner food. I wud order from here everyday if my life was set up like that but because I try to keep the gluttony to a 1-2x a week max I have to settle on them for once a week. Nothing bad to say about this place

Cash only. Staff is friendly and it's a small corner diner. First time I went there an unfortunately was not happy with my food. Don't order the buffao chicken wrap, it's a greasy drippy mess. I'm not sure if there was even actual buffalo sauce in it, seemed like i just had orange dye oozing out and there was absolutely no blue cheese. The fries were okay. Wish I could give higher ratings as I had hoped for more. Maybe I'll give it one more shot because I live in the area and was hoping it'd be my go to.

I've lived in the neighborhood for 5 years and this place has gotten progressively worse. Delivery has usually been pretty delayed, and only living 6 blocks down, when the large diner was upstairs we would just go their as their waitstaff considered us regulars and were pleasant. Then they closed the upstairs and now only has a few tables in a very cramped space street level. So now we really don't want to go in and decided to order delivery last night. An hour after we called I called back and was told any minute, any second the delivery guy should arrive. 15 minutes later I called back and was told the same thing. 30 minutes later (now and hour/half) the food arrives. The delivery guy gives it to me for free, which was good. However, when I closed the door and looked into the bag, half the food had leaked out all over the bottom. Needless to say we won't be ordering from here anymore.

The locals love it. This place is always packed, so they must be doing something right. Breakfast sandwiches OK, just overpriced.

As we approached the restaurant, my boyfriend and I were somewhat taken aback by the exterior. Parts of the glass (or plastic) in the front door were missing. Upon walking inside, a large arrow painted on the wall directs you to the restaurant upstairs. We went for breakfast so it was pretty empty. We were immediately given two glasses of water, which pleased my perpetually thirsty boyfriend. I ordered an egg white omelet with mushrooms and feta, but received an egg white omelet with spinach and feta instead. Probably because my waitress didn't write down the order but instead relied on her memory. Either way, I didn't mind the mix up, as the omelet was pretty good. My bf ordered the Coral omelet which wasn't on the menu but was recommended by the waitress. It had baby shrimp, avocado and scallion. He thought it was actually quite good. The happy hour drinks on the table definitely caught my eye, I may go back to try them. They sounded delicious but were much more expensive than your typical happy hour specials. I'll still probably give them a try, hopefully it'll be worth it if the drinks are strong enough. Coral Restaurant is a nice place for breakfast if you want your typical diner food, especially considering the dearth of sit-down breakfast places in the neighborhood.

Went yesterday with a friend for something cheap. She got linguine with alfredo sauce and I got the fried calamari with fries. To our surprise the food wasn't bad for a tiny corner diner. The portions were big and although my friend's garlic bread was made with a hamburger bun (#blankstare) it was seasoned and perfectly toasted. My calamari and fries were ok as well. Not too salty and fried to a crisp. But ask for extra marinara sauce for your calamari! It comes with one 1oz cup and the portion is big enough for 2-3 to share. I asked the waiter for more because it was actually good and he told me the kitchen was closed......................There were so many things I wanted to say and ask but didn't. I don't live in the neighborhood so I won't be back but at least I had plenty of dry calamari to take home.

This is my go to spot for breakfast, lunch and everything in between. They don't accept cards when you dine in but if you ask them to deliver they will allow you to use a card. My favorites are Breakfast- always made to order... I usually get the egg white omelet with veggies and occasionally pancakes. I love their chicken penne it's amazing and usually good enough for two people. The only thing that I don't like is that when I dine in this place is usually elbow to elbow... But I guess that's what happens when you have good food, good service and good people. They recently started serving liquor so you can drink anything from juice, smoothies, wine or Hennessy which is a plus in my book. The staff is attentive sometimes I come in and everyone's moving so fast that they didn't realize someone already took my order so there are times when I may be asked for my order 2-3 times and I have to tell them, I've already placed my order... But I guess that's not a bad thing.

Coral Restaurant underwent an extensive renovation at just about the time I moved into a new apartment a couple blocks away. I missed my old regular diner (Reme at 169th and Broadway) and hoped that Coral could fill the void (and the stomach). My boyfriend and I have had 2 experiences with Coral so far. One for delivery and one for dine-in. DELIVERY: boyfriend orders food - food doesn't come - 30 minutes pass - boyfriend calls - no answer - boyfriend calls again - phone rings repeatedly with no answer - boyfriend keeps calling - someone finally answers - person is annoyed - person tells boyfriend that the delivery guy just left - 30 more minutes pass - boyfriend calls again - no answer - food arrives - no apology or explanation - food is just ok. ONE STAR DINE-IN: boyfriend and I want breakfast - walk into Coral and are ignored - we stand awkwardly - finally ask if we can sit - get a table by the door - we order 1 coffee and 1 diet coke and 2 waters - we receive 2 coffees and 0 waters - we don't know who our waitress is - we order finally - food takes forever to arrive - food is actually pretty good - we are ignored a lot - boyfriend says coffee tastes like ass - we track down someone to bring us our bill - we pay and leave. TWO STARS Coral, your service needs a lot of work.

Absolutely amazing. The Greeks that run this place make authentic "Mousaka." It's a layered ground beef dish that tastes like nothing I've ever eaten...but something I will certainly seek out again. According to the Greek gentleman serving us, this is the only place to get "Mousaka" in this neighborhood. I highly recommend this place. Be sure and ask the server what he suggests, because the regular menu is regular (boring) food.

Pretty good for breakfast/brunch food. I got the french toast with blueberry compote which was great. The French toast wasn't too heavy, and it came with a TON of the blueberries. The location is a little hard to navigate (up a side staircase) at the moment because of contruction, but definitely worth it.

This review is based on delivery only. Consistent food. Not gourmet but good and a lot for your money. Quick delivery in most cases, and even the couple of times they've forgotten something or mixed up the order, they come back very quickly to set it right.

They've finally renovated the exterior of this place and it looks much more modern and efficient. The droopy rundown awning has been replaced with shiny neon lights! This has become my go-to neighborhood delivery place, and the service continues to be quick and pleasant. A good cheap place to grab some brunch in The Heights. It's a little cramped and it can get pretty busy in here, but their delivery is also pretty fast. I dig their eggs benedict, although it usually needs more black pepper and the English muffins could be a bid more toasted. I love their fruit-rolled french toast, although some cream cheese with it would really elevate the dish. Great banana shakes!

  • Elliot S.

Good eggs benedict and great homefries. The turkey bacon was excellent too. Good service and moderate prices. They make a mean dominican breakfast that will cure what ails you after a night out on the town in NYC. Fried Cheese. A pretty solid diner!

I was watching a Paula Dean cooking show yesterday (yes, my life is that lame) which of course got me thinking about grits. Which got me thinking about Coral. Coral offers grits with your breakfast as a "healthy" (ha, ha) alternative to home fries. They are also amazing! I love the people who work here. They quickly remember your order if you're a regular. They do the egg white substitution without charging extra (or at least that's how it used to be). They also have fresh half grapefruits and fruit salad, which seems like it should be standard for a diner but was not expected a neighborhood featuring bacalao and mofongo. This was also my first lunch meal after moving into the neighborhood in 2004. It is a solid place with good burgers and fries and even salads. It used to be a hole in the wall but after renovations, it has expanded with a really nice upstairs. Good coffee, too, in cute mugs that match the light fixtures. I definitely miss the Coral.

The service here is horrible. I didnt even get to taste the food that's the funny part. I called for a delivery and everytime I paused in between my orders the Mexican guy on the phone would say "that's it?" And hang up. I had to call back 4 times to complete my order. The 5th time I asked to speak to a manager he told me he's here in the morning and ofcourse hung up. I was recommended to order from this diner and this was a terrible first impression. Ofcourse I called back to cancel my order but they lost a potential customer. I'm still stunned of how this place is still in business with a man who takes orders in that manner. They must hire anyone with a low IQ.

Came here on a wednesdsy afternoon for a burger on my day off. The atmosphere resembles a diner on the upstairs floor of a building in washington heights. They had some good lunch specials for 4.95 but I wasnt in the mood for any of them. I ordered the calamari appetizer and a jalapeno cheddar burger which sounded delicious. Calamari was rubbery and pretty disappointing and I returned half. The burger I got plain with no bun. The burger came with the bun on, fail. The jalapeno cheddar was just cheddar cheese and jalapenos on the burger which was thin. Should of figured. I dont know why I expected like cheddar cheeese sauce. Anyways it was ok. I probably wont come back even if I am desperate for a burger up in the heights. MickeyDs might be a better option.

Restaurant - Coral Restaurant Server - Martha Synopsis - turkey sandwich - deli turkey. Found the food to be extremely dry even the pickle was over dry. Decided on getting the cold turkey hero with everything as well as coffee. 10 min later much to my dismay, she served a turkey sandwich on a roll. Told her I had asked for a hero and she took it back. Came back with the EXACT contents of my old sandwich but switched to a hero bun. Anyways, I ate my food while I face booked a bit. Got the bill and I was charged for a hero, lol.. the coffees have free refills which is why I was wondering why she was glaring at me after every refill as if they weren't.. Anyways, the bread was over dry as well as the contents. Even the pickle on the side was dry as Hell.. Service was what I expected in the area. I don't think I'll be coming here to eat again for quite a while which is disheartening because I live near =( I give it a solid crap/10. Ill be back later to get a few drinks but only because my roomate frequents the placr. Perhaps the bar scene here well be a bit different. Crap/10

Definitely a solid 3.5 stars. They offer really large portions at incredibly reasonable prices. A friend and I popped in for lunch (paid around $18 for both of us) and we both had leftovers! The menu is pretty varied - breakfast sandwiches and omelets to burgers, soups and fish.

  • Melissa C.

Coral is awesome. I go here pretty regularly and I've never had a bad meal. Everything is delicious and well-priced. The burgers are bomb, the fries are fantastic, and the pancakes are seriously so delicious that I can't really handle it. Also, props to the ability to get french fries with breakfast! Service can seem pretty slow, but it's actually all a matter of catching your server's attention. They'll almost never bring you your check until you ask for it, but once you do ask for it you'll have it in less than a minute, generally. It's probably not the place to go if you're in a rush, but if you've got some time for a leisurely meal, this is the place to do it.

In a neighborhood notorious for lacking dining establishments I have to laud Coral. The staff is incredible - pleasant, attentive, and genuinely happy to see a return customer. Every time you go, you'll see at least 4 or 5 familiar faces from the area. Always a good sign. The food, for the price, is excellent. I genuinely hope as the area gentrifies that this place makes it.

I just moved to Washington Heights and Coral is the first place I truly enjoy eating. There aren't as many choices up here but it makes me happy that Coral has pretty much anything a genuine Jersey style diner would have. My sister and I went to Coral New Years Day for breakfast and, although it was crowded, our waitress was so sweet and got our order almost perfect. I had great fresh fruit, the coffee was excellent, the waffles were delicious and my sister enjoyed her omelette. I will definitely be back with friends.

Their breakfast is GREAT - the dominican breakfast I can't get enough of. But their dinners are not as tasty. Usually over cooked - try their cuban sandwich and see what I mean. The bread is so hard, its been pressed so long, creating the bread shell un breakable almost. The waitress are very charming, but sometimes forget you when a new client comes in. I prefer the eat in service rather than ordering out.

  • Earlane S.

My friend and I came here today for lunch before heading to the American Hispanic Museum which is just a few blocks down the street. The other choices down the block which comprised primarily of subway, mcdonalds and fried chicken places, someplace where you could sit down and get something that was not necessarily a fast food chain was welcoming. The service was a little slow, but that made for good talking. The Cubano was quite good and the Havana was tasty. The servings were a good size, though the havana came with fries which may or may not be something you would be in favor of. All in all, a good place to go when in Washington Heights and not feeling too adventurous.

I grew up down the block and wow was it a dump. After four years of renovations, it has become a amazing local eatery. The menu has been updated and expanded for the changing demographic of Washington heights. the coffee is excellent, the breakfast is great, and the service has improved so much. The prices are reasonable and its never really crowded due to the new upstairs dining section

Ah, ha ha. My God, while our food did show up and our waffles were delicious and her bacon and my sausages were fabulous, it did take 20 minutes for our bill to arrive. We watched at least three groups leave because they couldn't track down a waitress. Even with that, we will absolutely be back. In fact, you might see us here next Saturday morning. Try to find a nice diner like this uptown! It's a gem.

Had a couple bad experiences recently. First time I ordered they gave me the wrong cheese on my eggs. Second time, the guy on the phone was very short and did not ask how I was paying so they didn't bring a card reader and apparently they messed up the order again and one guy came with my meal and 10 minutes later my drink arrived with the original delivery guy. Third time, I order and nothing comes for 45 minutes so I call to check and the guy hangs up. I call again give the guy my info and he says in a rude voice that the guy left 5 minutes ago and then hangs up on me. My food finally arrives and it's good but not something I should wait almost an hour and deal with rude counter people for. Please work on your delivery service before you sass me on the phone. Thank you.

I love this place! It's my favorite local restaurant. I've been going here for about 2 years. Everything I ordered from here has been great. The mozzarella sticks are perfect (crispy, well seasoned, right amount of cheese)! The burgers are a decent size and quite tasty. The chocolate milk shakes are delicious. The sole of fish is pretty good, though it could use more salt + pepper. It comes with a choice of sides, I had the mashed potatoes which I enjoyed. The service is friendly and pretty quick. There's plenty of seating (a mix of booths and tables) and the decor is pretty cool. I like the colorful shades over the hanging lamps. Overall, this is an awesome place.

Terrible service, rude and nasty worker. Called to place an order for delivery and the person put the phone down to go and speak with his co-worker , then proceeded to hung up the telephone. I called back and the phone rang more than 20 times and he pick up the phone. I called a 3rd time and his excuse was that he was busy. No apologies, just continue to tell he was busy. I will never order from them again and will tell all my friends on facebook not give them business. I ma giving them a big fact 0 for their services.

Gotta agree with the majority on this one - I was very happy to find it on Jan. 1! Great breakfast food, good other food. Service was not a problem for me, but they weren't busy either time I've been there. Definitely will become a great, local neighborhood drop in for me.

this place is actually better than it seems. it's pretty much like a normal diner. their eggs benedict was supprisingly tasty. fresh squeezed oj was also yummy and fresh as it was supposed to be. the servise was not so great but it was not bad either. and you don't really expect amazing service at this place anyway. so, it's worth trying if you are around the area.

This place is great for mid-afternoon brunch, late morning hangover breakfast and a visit from mom and dad. It's like a diner, with a full bar. The food is pretty tasty- I haven't had everything on the menu (yet), but I do know that their burgers are good (I have a slight obsession with the 'Coral Burger Deluxe') and I haven't had a meal I didn't like. The wait staff is kinda slow and neglectful- so don't go if you're crunched for time.

  • Rey R.

A good, cheap place that has every food under the sun- literally. Diner style with great Mexican, Italian & American specialities. The chicken burrtio is just $6 and comparable to Chipotle in both size and flavor. Burgers are typical for a diner...reliably tasty. Cheap booze too! I'm only giving them 3 stars because the service is poor, especially considering how empty the place always is. We usually end up flagging people down if we need refills or our check. Still, an overall decent, quiet place.

A good restaurant, but considering the Dominican neighborhood and cuisine, the pernil asado with rice and beans was far below par. A better restaurant to dine on pernil asado is El Presidente near New York Presbyterian Hospital at 168th St. and broadway.

I grew up eating at this place; I think it has gotten better over the years from a donut shop to an actual family restaurant. Don't expect the best dining of your lifetime but it is very good food for the area that it is in and it probably the best diner for miles. Family owned place, nice atmosphere. The service is OK, nothing spectacular.

We went to Coral on my brother's recommendation. First morning (afternoon) in the city after arriving at 3AM the night before. Downstairs is a bakery/pastry shop. Up the stairs in the back to a restaurant/bar that is pretty nicely decorated. Food is a mix of American Diner food and Spanish food. We liked this place, it was inexpensive, decent service, and good breakfast fare. Haven't tried anything else but the quality and portion size was pretty solid for the price.

Good food at a good price make this a nice little diner for our neighborhood. I will say that I have had better food from other diners in the past but this is still pretty good stuff and I would be glad to take people here for breakfast when they come to visit.

I had scrambled eggs, ham, home potatoes, and toast. The eggs, potatoes, and toast were delicious and in large quantities. The ham was really thinly sliced and sqaure. They had grilled it on one side for a minute. It was kind of like eating cheap lunchmeat from the grocery store. I wouldn't recommend the ham, but everything else was great. Some girls beside us had pancakes that looked incredible!

This place is now much smaller, they have eliminated the upstairs section and that really changes the ambiance of this place. I miss being able to always find a table and just relax for a long brunch in a booth. This was a little miracle in manhattan, a diner with a seemingly endless number of tables, where time seems to just stretch out in front of you. Restful. So sad it's gone. The food is still reasonably priced and tasty, and the service is still great.

Get the fruit cup. For $3.25, you will get a real fresh, healthy alternative dessert. The cup I had this morning had wonderful variety: strawberries, pink grapefruit, mango, nectarine, peach, red plum, red grapes, honeydew, cantaloupe, pineapple, apples, peach, pear, orange. That's a damn lot of fruit. It's fruiterrific!!!

The breakfasts are pretty good here and I used to be a regular until one weekend when I brought a friend over for brunch and our wait person added a nasty attitude to her horrible service. I think we patiently waited over ten minutes just for water and the menu while we could see her flirting up a storm with two interested patrons nearby. When we finally were able to flag her over she seemed really put out over having her party groove slowed down. Then it got unbearably worse from there. When I ordered my usual steak and eggs breakfast she told me they didn't have any. I asked her if she was sure and she said "NO" so I asked her to please go back and check on that. She went back and didn't return for an eternity and we noted that she still had managed in that time to go back to flirt with her two papis. When she finally got back to us, she said they had steak and did I still want it. I said yes and she took the rest of the order. No coffee had been served and I reminded her of that. After another 20 minutes, no coffee, no water, no sense of whether we would get any breakfast within 24 hours, we just got up and left. We went up many blocks to Reme Restauarant on Broadway and 169th which was straighforwardly good and has proven to be consistently so. It's been over a year and I still patronize Reme before I'll even entertain Coral. I can only imagine that wait person is no longer there, but it is interesting how one awful experience can keep a regular from ever patronizing a place again. Ah well, maybe i'll wait another year before trying Coral out again.

I order delivery from here all the time and also come for breakfast/brunch when I want to eat in the neighborhood on weekends. The service is fast, food is good. My personal favorite-- the huge salads, chocolate chip pancakes and the wraps. My roommate is obsessed with the banana mango smoothie. Comfort food! Warning-- delivery is cash only.

This is a typical diner with typical diner fare with a pretty large menu. They do a good breakfast, plus they have grits- yum! They do a pretty dece sandwich as well, however, under any circumstances are you not to order the stuffed shells. I did once, what was I thinking?!? They were just terrible, rubbery and hard, like they were microwaved for 10 minutes on HIGH. Anyways, the downstairs section is good to get stuff to go, they make fresh squeezed orange juice which is delish, though a bit expensive for the heights. Forget about coming here in a wheelchair, as there is no elevator and the restaurant is on the second floor, but they do deliver and they do it quick.

This diner warms my heart! Friendly, low-key, well-priced tasty food open late! My boyfriend has an addiction for tiramisu and espresso here, so we'll start out for this place at all hours of the day and night. This place always makes me feel peaceful, yet there's awesome diner food around!
