The place itself is pretty nice and has a full bar and outside seating, which is nice, but would be nicer if there weren't so many vines. The vines bring too many bugs, which eat all your food. But it is pretty, none-the-less. The food was alright but one or two items on my plate had a weird taste, which I wasn't a fan of. The wait staff was nice and quick but next time, I'll order something else.

I love this place! They have an adorable outdoor garden and delicious, affordable comfort/bar type food. It's one of my go-to spots in this area of Williamsburg, and I'm surprised it's not more popular. I've come back multiple times for dinner and lunch, and I love their tortilla soup, zucchini fries, and Cobb salad. Their burger's pretty good as well. Plus, their wait staff is very nice and attentive.

Williams and Bailey is a great place to host an event. My school had a get together here and the staff was more than accommodating to serving 25+ people. We went on a Sunday for brunch and sat towards the back of the establishment. I noticed there is an outdoor area that is available as well. The staff was attentive to our needs and requests. Pros: -Unlimited mimosas for $15 -The mixed drinks are strong -Food was delicious and comes served hot. I had tag steak and eggs Benedict with hashbrowns and toast. Lots of food for about $12. -The wings were also really tasty -Nice variety in the selection of music Cons: -Food took some time to come out. I would definitely come back here for drinks and food!

past few times i've been here now everything is different. new cook? who knows. ive sent undercooked food back on two separate occasions. one time i watched the bartender debating with the cook through the kitchen window with my under cooked meat in a manner that suggested she was on his side and the customer was picky. he then leaned out the kitchen window with an annoyed face to scan the bar for me. ive tried to give it a few more chances since my original impression was so high.. but its just not the same. as for the "rotating whiskey" board? its virtually never updated. reads the same single whiskey for months. more like Williams and Barely update: been a couple months. ordered the tenderloin tips which came out wonderful.. like the old days. whiskey board is updated too. and the bartender, Brita, is disarmingly pleasant as usual. they've earned a star back in the right direction.

I've heard wonderful things about this place and they exceeded expectations . Seven friends and myself went for an early dinner . I got the screwdriver cocktail , it's was perfection , powerful flavors yet easy to drink . They make the best eggplants parmigiana and their French fries are big and amazing , definitely a must - try . The food is excellent . We went back later in the night to enjoy more drinks . Love love this place . We will be back soon .

This is a 3 star average bar with food brought down by the service. I have been here twice now. The first time was a walk by stop in when I was with a friend looking for some food. The food and drinks were a little pricey but the place was there and the food was ok. I had the mac and cheese - it wasn't particularly memorable. The second time was last night. It was the same average but overpriced bar with OK food. Seriously though $8 for a pint of guinness? I asked to switch to scotch and soda - a drink that I had to explain to the waitress. She comes back saying they have no well scotch but do I want Wild Turkey (yeah that's not scotch at all). I sigh and say sure - it was a watered down mess. The food for three people came out at different times. I had a chicken sandwich that was actually pretty good - would have been better if I didn't have to wait 10 minutes for it to come out. The straw that broke the 1-star camel's back here though came when we checked out. First off the waitress comes up to us and tells us she is changing shift so they are checking us out and starting a new tab. What the fuck? Roll it over and deal with it. Now here's the kicker. Bill was about $93. There were 4 of us who spent varying amounts. I did the math, got cash from two of them, and myself and a friend were to pay with card. I made it simple - bill $42 to each of these cards and the cash (a remaining $29) is the rest and tip. She comes back, charged me 52 and the other 42 and takes all the cash! What the fuck! I explain the 2nd grade math to her and tell her I want $10 cash back NOW. She comes back over with 10 bucks, slams it on the table like a child and storms away. Never. Again.

Elizabeth, Saad and I came her for brunch with their baby when we couldn't get into the place up the street expeditiously. This is an interesting place, which is about half bar and half restaurant. It is a little dumpy for the kinds of restaurants I like to go to, but the service made up for it by really wiping down the table when we sat, bringing utensils on a plate, etc. The kinds of touches that make you more comfortable eating in a place that is a little run down. They did have a high chair, BTW. The menu was pretty interesting for bunch, and fairly extensive. I didn't love my food, but I went out on a limb with what I ordered, and think I probably just ordered poorly relative to my taste. Everyone else enjoyed their food. I thought the prices weren't bad. A couple dollars cheaper than what I think you would pay for something comparable in Manhattan.

Three cheers to Williams & Bailey. My boyfriend and I have now been here twice so it's high time to review. The whole space is unassuming and homey and I cannot wait for warm weather to try out the patio/garden outside. As far as food goes, my boyfriend loves the burger (and it makes the healthier eater in me happy because it's grassfed) and I recently tried their turkey sandwich which was totally out of this world (who would have thunk?). And it's nice to find a bar where the beer list is solid and they can also make a really good old fashioned. And if it couldn't get any better the staff is always nice and just the right amount of attentive.

I come here specifically for their whiskey mojito. Even my friends that don't like whiskey love this cocktail...try it and you too will not be disappointed. I am also big fan of their zucchini fries- there always cooked to perfection.

Cane in on a chance and couldnt be happier with the find. The chickens and waffles keep calling out to me for me to come back so i did. Tried the chicken pot pie last time, no disappointment there. Wasnt happy with the bloody mary but its ok had other drinks. My wife wont stop asking me to take her back and we did

I'm obsessed with the coffee they serve here! Legit, almost better than a cold brew @ gimme. Don't be afraid of the dark interior, the food is pretty good. (Went for Brunch on a Saturday). No wait or anything. I had the Zucchini pancakes with salmon and creme fraiche atop the mound flapjacks. The concept was were good in theory, however, I was expecting something more of a latke/potato pancake consistency and this dish literally was pancakes. With zucchini in it. Slightly strange. Everything else was pretty standard, benedicts, bloodies, mimosas. I would definitely come back, it was pretty chill and a nice alternative to the crowded Le Barricou.

No wait brunch spot. Hope it stays this way. Ordered eggs William twice, delicious but the hash brown was a bit salty. Their old fashion cocktail was on point. french toast was delicious. Definitely want to come back here for a whiskey and bourbon tasting during dinner time.

Easy going and decent grub. Laid back atmosphere for a Sunday football game. Staff is friendly and aim to please.

  • Michelle T.

My sister and I live around the corner and have been coming here for years. It's a great place to watch games and their happy hour is $4 drafts and wells. Also the food is delicious! It's all fresh and I would eat the Tenderloin tips and zucchini fries every day if I could. A lot of reviewers were unhappy with the service and my sis and I have definitely experienced that, but I have noticed a difference lately. Maybe they are listening to what the people want and stepping up their game! Sincerely, a WB regular.

  • Anna M.

We popped in on a Sunday to watch football and grab a bite to eat. The staff was really nice and got us a seat at the bar. My two main gripes are as follows; the bar is built oddly too high for the chairs. It was weird to eat at the same level as your face.. The other concern is that they really nickel and dime you with the menu. A burger is $9 but a slice of cheese is $2 and if you want a small handful of basic fries, that's $4. So we just got a plain burger sitting on a sad plate because the bartender didn't suggest any extras. It was a pretty good burger all told but just an odd way to arrange the menu.

this is a secretly cool sports bar with a dope backyard. Huge screen to watch games, rad beer selections and a great list of whiskey. their menu is off the hook! Best wings I've had in Brooklyn and the staff is super sweet. Why crowd yourself in an over rated Williamsburg bar? This is where the adults chill and keep it classy. You can find me here at WB

  • Michelle K.

This place has always felt a little tacky, but it used to be chill (and therefor it's tackiness was actually endearing). The food can be good...or it can be not so good- it's pretty hit or miss. The table service is too much or too little (excessive attention or NEVER checking in) -- and it often seems like nobody working there wants to be there- which I can understand considering the angry manager stomping around- things feel pretty tense. Don't be too excited by the pacman table, by the way- it doesn't work. Pros: Great backyard, rarely ever crowded. Cons: Terrible music for the most part, some inflated prices. I swear the music was not always so terrible here. I'm really not sure what happened to this bar.

  • Amelia A.

This is a rad bar with a great atmosphere! The service is speedy and polite and the food is delicious. Not what you'd expect for bar fare. The dark-curly-haired bartender is the sweetest and makes you feel like you're a patron at Cheers! She makes it a point to know your name and remember your drink! I've been going on and off for the last few months now and it's a great place to drink with friends or watch the game. Also you cannot BEAT the happy hour!

I love this place! Drinks are great! :) I love the food, spicy wings and chicken and Waffles!! Only downside is that service is kind of slow :(

  • Dalton C.

This is a really solid sports bar, if you go in for that sort of thing. I don't, but I can't subtract stars for a place that does what it does well just because it's not my thing. So, the happy hour is ridiculous. $3 for a pint or a well drink... sweet Moses! Next up is the staff. I've only encountered one bartender here... his name is Tadhg ("Teg"), and he is PHENOMENAL. Very attentive, personable, and efficient. I was never left with an empty drink. Seemed like there was A LOT of open, cozy seating as well. If you find yourself in the area and looking for a good happy hour spot, go see Tadhg ("Teg") and he'll make sure you have a wonderful evening.

They have a nice atmosphere, good music (not too loud), tv's if you want to watch a game, good service. I had their homemade veggie burger and it was deliciousss! Bartender was really friendly. I had the red Sangria, I liked it but thought it sorta tasted like jello? lol

I've been here - three times now over the past week. This place is seriously addictive! Cannot say enough good things about it. First, $3 drafts and well drinks. It's like instant happiness for people on a budget, lol. Next, one bartender, Bitta-? is new. But she is very sweet and very good at her job. Pours well and mixes properly. Not perfect, but when you're really nice and try hard to please your customers, your customers will walk away happy. My bill for burger and like, 3-4 whiskey sours was only $21. I gave her a $10 tip. She earned it! The entire staff seems very polite. Speaking of burgers before, I was even approached by the manager/owner-? when the first "blue" burger I ordered came out with bleu cheese instead, lol. They were very polite and caring. When my order actually came, OMG - it's like burger heaven!! I had eaten a strip steak at DeStefano's off the Graham stop a few days prior. That was $45 and although cooked perfectly, was essentially tasteless. This burger beat it hands down!! In fact, it was so good, I ordered (2) the first time!! Great food, great drinks, great prices, great atmosphere. For your "general" bars - this place is as good as it gets. Don't miss out. Then again, more whiskey and burgers for me!! Lol

This place really shouldn't list itself as a sports bar since it is nothing of the type. It's not bad, its just not a sports bar. I came here on a Sunday to watch football one time and had an incredibly awkward experience. The place was very empty and I asked if they could turn on a particular game. The bartender approached the manager and asked. Then the manager approached me and told me to follow her. She lead me to my own booth with full view of my own television and then a waiter approached me and asked what I would like to eat. I was too embarrassed with the over-service since I just wanted to sit at the bar and have a beer so I left and went across the street. It is obvious that they were completely overstaffed and were expecting way more customers for the games. My advice to this place is to simply stop pretending to be a type of bar which you clearly aren't and also understand that there is such a thing as way too much service.

Lets just call it 3+ until I have more experiences here. BRUNCH: Both the Eggs Florentine & Bailey Eggs (Eggs Benedict w/ bacon) were quite scrumptious. For $12 it was a good value. As others have mentioned, the interior is nicely appointed, and there are plenty of seats both inside and out front/in the back garden. I look forward to getting cozy at the bar this winter with a glass (or 3) from their impressive whiskey list. Give it a shot and laugh at the suckers waiting 45minutes for a seat next door at Le Barricou.

My boo and I came here after a search for a bar on Grand that had the Red Sox game on. I had passed by this place a billion times but never peeked in. It's less hipster than many of the other establishments around and was a great place to watch the game with interested but not obnoxious viewers. The food is "nice" bar food. The wings were pretty good and prices reasonable. We had a burger with avocado and were a little surprised when it came out covered in spinach artichoke dip. It was tasty even if I had expected my calorie intake to be one million calories instead of a trillion calories. Whatever, sports calories don't count. As other people have mentioned, the service isn't great. The bartender was nice enough, but spent a lot of time flirting with the waiter or bus boy who set up camp at the end of the bar. My boyfriend tried to get her attention from a few feet away many times, but wasn't noticed because no one was looking over. Tending bar was obviously not the priority of the night. No one should sit for ten-fifteen minutes with an empty glass pushed in front of them with no action. There were literally six people at the whole bar and the service was as slow as if it was three deep. I would come back again for a game but I am not going out of my way.

I stopped in after work to have a drink. I read great reviews online about the brunch. To say the least I ordered two whiskey sour . My glass was not even half full and was horrible. $20 down the drain .Dont waste your time if you are lookling for somewhere to have a cocktail.

I only have it two stars so I won't seem like an unreasonable asshole. It sucks. Service=had to ask for everything twice. And generally when I ask for the check with a full beer (which was flat and skunky) and uneaten food (chicken and waffles was like KFC and a waffle you'd make yourself at a hotel breakfast bar) they'll ask if everything was ok. But no, that's take them away from BS'ing with their pals at the other end of the bar or texting. Never going back- highly recommend you stay away too.

Love this place ! Amazing food, drinks , and atmosphere. The bartender on Saturday nights is super cool and friendly. This is the only place I order drinks with sour mix in it. Their special made sour mix is like no other. If you haven't tried this place please do ! You won't be disappointed

First time today having brunch in NYC since moving here 3 1/2 years ago. I have to say I was so happy this was the place I had my first experience! It was absolutely amazing. The mimosa was great, the food was beautiful and delicious and the server was very polite, genuine and helpful. Thank you for a great experience. Definitely will be back!

This is more of a 3.5 stars review for brunch. I've always walked by here but never been inside. The interior is nice decor--and it's rather spacious. We sat in the backyard where there's a few seats + some overhang of trees--nice and scenic. Bonus points for there being no wait (esp. compared to Le Barricou next door)... Let's be clear--this is mainly dressed up bar food. I'm taking half a star off for that, only because it was kinda on the greasy side. But! It was good. I had the Eggs Bailey which was pretty generous for the price--Eggs Florentine stuffed w/ bacon + side hashbrown cake that was kinda weird/good + side salad w/ fried shallots. Taking an entire star off for service though. The girl who served us was SUPER sweet, but completely M.I.A. Slow, slow, slow. I thought they must have seated like 20 people inside, so I was about to be forgiving, but as we walked through the bar after we paid and checked out (there were at least 3 other tables out back with us) there was NO one in there. Completely empty. Anyway, I would definitely come back if I have some greasy hangover cravings & want to do brunch without waiting in line... but not if I have something to do later the same day.

Had the wings, which are good and an ok value at $8 for six big wings. Nachos are large and tasty. TV screens are HD, unlike divier Redd's next door.

Came here just to eat a burger. Sat at the bar, the wait staff was a bit inattentive and did a lot of goofing around, but I was usually able to get their attention. Got the burger and fries, the burger was, to their credit, fresh and cooked well, nice blend of meat, but these days that's table stakes. The fries were really big and tasty but you got so many of them, like a bucket. I felt bad throwing out most of a bucket of fries, but I'm just one guy and I can't eat that many! Knocking off a star because they have a $20 credit card minimum. I understand this policy for just drinks or on a busy night, but I was one of the only people in there, ordering dinner only, with my total being $17, sitting right across from the credit card machine and I was told to go a few doors down to the ATM on a freezing cold night. Really?

Ok, bottom line, my Mac n Cheese + Bacon was incredibly average. The fries were delicious though. But here's how the experience was: We walk in, wander around, then make our way to the back. Then we are approached. Keep in mind, the place is only at about 60% capacity and the staff isn't occupied. Then we sit down. Finally get menus. We order our drinks and food. BUT THEY'RE OUT OF CHICKEN! on a Monday night. I just wanted some chicken and waffles. So I order the mac n cheese. The drinks take 10 minutes at least. I ordered a bottle drink, so I can't attest to their tending abilities. We watched college football, with the volume very loud. The commercials were quite obnoxious and intrusive. Eventually the food came. It was ok. I've definitely had significantly better mac n cheese for $16 (I think) dollars. I ate about half and then took the rest back to the hotel. After eating, my buddy and I headed to the next incredibly average bar.

Note: This review is for brunch only. Upon arrival of this restaurant, I was thrilled. It looked exactly like the type of place I like. Lots of wood and metal, a clean, modern design, and oh gosh, a chalkboard with drinks and their ingredients drawn out, infographic style. We didn't have to wait for a table at all. The service was prompt and friendly. The menu was extensive and very reasonably priced. The food- delicious. I have a very sharing family, so I got to try six different things. Everything was terrific. My older brother got corned beef hash and I have to say, think this is the only time I've ever enjoyed eating corned beef hash. It was good! Overall, great experience. It looks like they have a pretty cute little back patio area with lots of green things for summertime, too. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Brooklyn.

The only reason I'm giving this place three stars is because of their drinks and the outdoor seating area. The service was really pathetic. For a gorgeous warm day, the outdoor space was actually pretty empty (maybe three other groups of people) and yet our SERVERS, (yes, PLURAL, that means MORE THAN ONE) would disappear for 20 minutes at a time, and when they did show up, they would check on one table and then scurry back inside before anyone else could get a word in.

This place has all the ingredients for a great regular neighborhood bar/restaurant. Large bar, good alcohol selection, multiple TVs with a couple projectors for football, above average American pub fare, and pretty good atmosphere. I've come here for Sunday/Monday night football and had a good experience. Pretty reasonable prices and decent wait staff. Back patio area is great, but could use a TV. I would probably give them a 4 but they really drop at least a star due to their inability to handle brunch. I've come for brunch a few times and always end up waiting significantly longer than told for a table when it's busy. On one occasion they actually told us the kitchen was so far behind they weren't taking orders for at least 30 minutes after we were seated. When this happened the food took forever and was sub-par when it arrived. I've had better experiences for lunch and dinner/drinks , just beware the brunch situation.

It looked like a nice place for drinks with friends. Lots of screens. But I was a bit scared of the food. Although everything tasted fine. The grade was pending and was not good when I looked it up "ABCEats" Health inspection app. I usually go for the consistent A grade. But its nice inside, service was good and attentive. The booth and decor were comfy. Outdoor area, I'd probably go for drink and small appetizers like the fries.

Was in the area and wanted a late bite after a night of drinking. Stumbled on in here and sat in the outside area in the back with my friends. Ordered wings, Mac and cheese, perogies and the best BBQ pulled pork sandwich I ever tasted. We shared everything and then ordered another round of food except the wings. Yup. More food. It was that good. Perogies were delicious. Maybe a pan fried style? Didn't have any issues with service our waiter was checking on us and kept our drinks full and was friendly as well. Wish I could remember his name to give him credit. Sorry :(

I've had it with this place. The food is good but the service is a joke. When no one is watching a TV and I ask you to change it to the Islanders PLAYOFF game it shouldn't be met with scorn and denial. Pass on this place for somewhere else in the neighbourhood.

If I've been to this place 10 times, 8 of those times they've managed to seriously mess up something. I can't tell you how many times I've waited 45mins - 1hr+ for my food here. It's like as soon as someone takes your food order they either forget about you or just don't care about you. You can't find the waiter/waitress, or if you do see them, you can't get their attention because they're walking right past you. The food is actually pretty good and they have a nice variety on their menu, but the service is just so poor. It's not all the kitchen's fault either. I've seen my food sit in the window for 20 minutes while they rang the bell 5 times. No one wanted to pick it up and bring it to me after the bartender, food runner, and manager all walked right past it. Of course it wound up being ice cold, and had to be sent back. They were pretty quick about making me a new plate, which makes me wonder why it took an hour in the first place. After that we asked for the check, and waited another half hour, at which point we had to ask for it again from the manager. They offered no apology, either. Just seems like they don't care.

I do like this place, in fact I go there frequently. They have decent food, great wings and is a casual neighborhood joint. BUT my one start review right now is as follows- Shame on them for price gouging during hurricane Sandy!!! Not only is it not right it is technically illegal! They were open (which was great, this was my hurricane haunt for Irene) but drink prices were more expensive then usual. They normally ALWAYS have happy hour until 8. All this week (10/28-10/31) they were not offering happy hour and beer that is normally $3 were now $7, etc. This is a neighborhood place and it shouldn't do this to its patrons during a situation like Sandy! Aside from the face they changed their drink prices during this hurricane week they could also not handle all the extra business they were getting being one of the only businesses open- bar food (fries, wings, sandwich) took well over an hour and arrived cold. Sure I'll go back once the hurricane is over but management has left a really bad taste in my mouth!

This is one of the best bars in Brooklyn. The staff is awesome and friendly. The food is unbelievably good, and the tunes are excellent. Chill vibe, good beers, lots of whiskey, and a backyard. Honestly, if you are even reading this review it means you probably haven't been there before. And if you haven't been there before, what the hell is wrong with you? You are so weird.

Good food, decent decor, AWFUL service. There were only 5 people at the bar, including my girlfriend and I, but that was clearly two much for the bartender and what I am assuming was his trainee. We received a friendly greeting and got our drinks and food quickly but those were the only positives. The bartender spent the entire time talking to another patron complaining about everything under the sun, including the bar, the way it is run, and the set-up of the menu. After we got our food, we were ignored completely, the trainee had his back turned to us while he watched the Knicks game and he sneezed directly into his hands! And did not wash them, Eww! I never left such a crappy tip before in my life, a measly 9%. Honestly though they deserved less. Ironically, the bartender was complaining to one of the other patrons about how people don't understand how little bartenders and waiters make and constantly under-tip. He is clearly the one that misunderstands the service industry.

This was a nightmare. I'll preface this review with the fact that I understand there were unusual circumstances surrounding the hurricane. However, the response to the issues with our experience were unacceptable. Initially, I was impressed with the quick and friendly service. Approximately ten minutes after ordering our food, our waiter came over to tell us that there were problems in the kitchen and that it may be a bit of a wait. Approximately 40 minutes passed without any communication about the situation. After we asked about what was taking so long, they checked in the kitchen and brought us potato chips. This was a nice gesture, but should have been done as soon as they realized there was going to be an unusual wait. Time continued to pass, and we asked again. At this point, it had been approximately an hour. They responded that it would take five more minutes for all of our food to be served. Five minutes turned into ten. When we asked another staff member, he told us that it was due to there being "too many people in the restaurant." The place was full, but there's no reason a restaurant should not be able to operate on a busy evening. We were then told that some of the ingredients were unavailable, and then told it would be five more minutes for everything. Ten minutes later, we were served half of the food we ordered, cold, and directed to "share it/split it up amongst ourselves as we pleased." Upon receiving the bill (the mediocre food was given to us for free), our drinks were listed as full price despite ordering them during happy hour. When we prompted the staff, we were told it was a holiday because people didn't have to work due to the hurricane, and that therefore happy hour was no longer applicable. This makes no sense. All of these issues were understandable and would not have been an issue had they been upfront from the beginning, and had the manager himself actually stepped in rather than putting the onus on his staff to deal with the problem. If they told us from the beginning what was unavailable and that happy hour was not in effect, I would have been fine. The way that the situation was handled, however, is an example of terrible management and poor judgment. I will not be going back to this place.

Williams & Bailey is one of those places that are just OK - there's nothing particularly wrong with it - but I'll probably never visit again. The whiskey list is extensive - it's a shame our server had no clue about any of the items on it (quote: "I have no idea"). I appreciate the honesty, but, uh, what the hell. Their old-fashioned was the sweetest I've ever had, and I've had plenty. There's sweet and then there's oppressively, cloyingly sweet. We ordered chicken and waffles and steak tips. The chicken was OK, nicely battered but a bit bland. The waffle had a lovely malt flavor, but it was hopelessly limp and soggy. Steak tips were alright, slightly oversalted and cooked medium (I ordered medium rare). Fries and creamed spinach were decent. Points for a cool damask wallpaper pattern that incorporates parking meters and fire hydrants. Highlight of my experience, unfortunately. To reiterate, I doubt I'll be coming back, seeing as whiskey and bar food are not exactly scarce in the area.

I've been here several times and love it. Clean, elegant, dimly lit decor. A nice beer and whisky selection. Noteworthy food at a very reasonable price. Friendly service. Good tunes playing. No gimmicks. Try the Cobb salad. It doesn't have chicken cubes on it, as many Cobb salads do, but it's hard to complain because their version is a damn near perfect salad. The place was a bit on the loud side when I went there for dinner at 10pm on a Saturday, but otherwise, it has seemed fairly laid back. There's usually sports playing on the two TVs over the bar, but it definitely doesn't have a sports bar vibe.

Yes! Food was top notch, beer was cheap at happy hour. Ben folds, postal service, the zep on the radio! What?! Yes! Classy joint. Go here all the time!

I went here on a rogue Thursday evening with a friend and absolutely loved it. From the pipe-organ beer-tap to the fire-hydrant wallpaper, I was absolutely in love with the laid back and fun atmosphere of this joint. They have a vast selection of draft beers that are decently priced for NYC (especially during Happy Hour) and awesome food selections as well. The burger was decent but I hear the chicken wings are unreal. Will try them next time!

Love this place. I recommend the sweet and spicy wings.

I always steered clear of this place because of all of the huge TVs blaring different games and all of the football fans screaming. I usually prefer to get a burger at Burnside across the street. The past few times, though, the cook hasn't been at Burnside and we were hungry. i have to say, this was one of the most delicious burgers I ever had. The service was great, and if you are a sports fan, the ginormous projectors are excellent.

A new chill bar in the hood. HD TV's and a big screen in the back make this cash only place worth a stop on a football Sunday. Spicy hot wings were good, the beer cold and the staff behind the bar were chill/

A welcome addition to the neighborhood, a relaxing joint with friendly staff and great food. Drink special is a huge plus, the zucchini fries.... well, you might as well order two baskets because one isn't enough.

Requirements for a nice afternoon in the summertime: 1. Non-deadly temperature and clear skies. 2. A large outdoor patio with ample seating and on-the-ball service. 3. $3 cocktails until 8pm. 4. Greasy appetizers and burgers to soak up all those cocktails. 5. A group of friends that you enjoy spending hours and hours with sitting around binging on food/drink. Ta da! While W&B only provides a few of those elements, it's a nice new addition to Grand Street. It's an easy stroll from the L or G, the bar inside is cozy and the staff all have a upbeat attitude. Now go find some sun and some pals asap - summer is almost over!

Came here for dinner after noticing the great sign/encouraging decor from Grand St. For a quick sandwich/burger and a beer, I find Williams and Bailey hard to top. The staff was friendly, the food was way better than expected (extremely flavorful burger and an incredible steak sandwich on baguette) and to top it off, they poured one helluva Black and Tan ($6). Will be back often.

I have been there for brunch and dinner. The grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup plate is great. They grill the bread with shredded cheese on the outside. The tomato soup was a bit too lemony. Fried Chicken and waffles - the chicken was tasty. The waffle tasted store bought. I like that they get their coffee across the street from Porto Rico Importing Co. The sweet spicy sour wimgs were tasty. The steak sandwich also good. The chili was fresh but bland. My bf likes to hang out at the bar so we go there often. They have solid eats, but nothing amazing.

Great spot for brunch. Never crowded - outdoor seating in front or back - fooseball table, fast friendly service, inexpensive. Oh, and the food is good. Tried my gf's chicken/waffles - amazing. Solid eggs benedict and I love their version of hashbrowns it comes with. I originally tried the place out because I read it's by the same guy of Cafecito (fav Cuban restaurant in the city) and glad I did. It's now one of my regular spots. Psst - this place is a whiskey bar - 50+ offerings on the list.

I can pretty much see this place from my apartment so I'm not sure why we don't come here more often. I can't say a bad thing about the place really. Prices are about average for the area. Everything I've had on the menu has been great. The chicken & waffle is great. Not the best I've had but solid. Their fries are awesome as is the Red Oak salad. My favorite are the wings. I'm glad they added the buffalo style but not sure why they're a dollar more than the Asian spiced wings they have. I'm a huge wing fan and these are great. Cooked perfectly, nice and crispy, good size. The sauce is good to average buffalo sauce. These guys could be a legit wing place if they wanted to. Would be great to see a place in the neighborhood do a wing night and these guys have the best in this area so I nominate them. Add another flavor or two. As an addendum: Not sure if i never realized it or things changed but the wings are $8 for 6 wings. They're pretty good but not nearly THAT good. I stand by my statement that these are probably the best wings in the hood but at that price, I won't be partaking in them. Beer selection and prices are decent. Its no longer on the menu but ask for the cheap draft. I think its Miller Lite or Busch Light for only $3 if you want something cheap and cold. Good selection of whiskey too if you're into that. We always sit at the bar so I can't speak to the table service but the bartenders are usually nice and prompt. And they take cards now!

The girlfriend and I were looking for a casual bite in the area. We went with this place because we had been to Royal burger and this is owned by the same people. This may be the best gastro pub food ive ever had. Zuchini Fries- crisp with a tasty, well seasoned batter. Royale Burger with Cheddar- As good as the burger at Royal. It costs 8.5$ and it is perfect. I'm not sure I could have any advice on how to make it better. Great value too. Grilled cheese and roasted tomato soup- what a terrific item to have on the menu. Simple and delicious. Love this place. Good for games with its large screens.

Pros: Friendly staff, nice atmosphere to watch a game, great beer selection Cons: Food was OK, not great and seemed to take a while I went there on a Thursday night around 10. It still had a healthy group of people there but my girlfriend and I found a table towards the back corner. The beer selection is extensive. The menu is straightforward, with typical gastro-pub fare, but I was disappointed with the food we ordered I had the buttermilk fried chicken and waffle, while my girlfriend ordered spaghetti. We were both immediately disappointed at the blandness of the meal. My chicken was a bit over-cooked and it didn't really taste all that great. The waffle was good and didn't taste like Eggos, at least. My girlfriend's spaghetti also lacked any pop. While the service was nice and accomodating, and prices are certainly modest, we don't expect to return for food. Drinks? Absolutely.

NO LONGER CASH ONLY! YAY! Thanks guys. Also if you would like to watch 3 football games all at the same time then this is the place to be all day SUNDAY! Great projector in the back and 3 TVs at the bar. Nice crowd!

You guys - -I just visited you not an hour ago. The last time I had done so was months ago. Looks like your menu has been updated. Great! All awesome. Except I ordered your grilled cheese and fries tnt and was utterly disappointed. Why? Because you used generic whole-wheat bread for it and I saw the most beautiful ciabatta bread being delivered over and over around me and it made no sense, not for recipe-sense or taste that my sandwich would have the most inane, small and nonsensical bread. Please change the bread and perhaps you'll see that more people will enjoy this potentially delicious grilled cheese. Or if you must, look to the ideas of Norman's KIl down the block and use a bread - -aaaany bread---- that is not the cheap whole wheat I could buy for $2.00 at the C town.

I came here yesterday for Sunday brunch with a girlfriend of mine. We enjoyed every single aspect of this experience. For starters, the waiters are so sweet and friendly. They are extremely attentive and efficient. They really helped start and end the meal on a great note. Secondly, the food and prices are incredible! We started with the zucchini fries (5$), which were perfectly crispy and tasty. 5$ mimosas and they were delicious. I enjoyed the 3 eggs with bacon, salad, hash browns and toast (7$), so filling and just perfect. My friend had the Royale burger, which she said was super satisfying. I love that you can sit outside and just relax. It's a great brunch spot for the summertime. I definitely plan on brunching here again! Note: While I was there, they played some awesome tunes, as well.

Williams and Bailey is the best place in this part of Williamsburg to watch a game. They have good beers, cocktails, and food. The tastiness of the food is really spotty though -- the zucchini fries and the sweet and spicy wings are awesome, but the mac and cheese is bland. We went for brunch once and the omelette was really bad -- the cheddar cheese was tasteless, the leeks were overpowering, and the eggs had a McDonalds-like consistency. BUT, even given all of that, if you order the right things, you'll be happy! I loveeee the wings. The service can also be realllllyyyy slow, which is usually okay because we go to watch football, so we are there for a while.

Read about this new burger & whiskey spot and just HAD to try it out. Mainly because burgers & whiskey are my two favorite things on the planet. And Williams & Bailey did not disappoint! We sat outside because it was approaching "bar time" on a Friday and my guest and I wanted a little more quiet. The decor both inside and out is warm and inviting, nothing crass or trendy - just classic. Simple, inexpensive menu and a healthy whiskey list that made my mouth water just reading it. I had a burger (of course) with cheddar and bacon. Cooked mid rare. TO DIE FOR. No joke, perfectly seasoned, juicy as all get out... My guest had a turkey sandwich that he also loved, and we split the spinach artichoke dip to start, which was also great! The whiskey was a little pricey but worth it for the variety, and the super inexpensive food cancelled that out by meal's end. I'll definitely be going back!!! I wanna go back NOW! (stupid hurricane.) FYi - CASH ONLY!

I came in due to a long wait at Le Barricou, but I'm so happy I did. The staff was so friendly and attentive and the brunch food was pretty great for basically being a bar who serves brunch. The eggs florentine, yogurt and fruit and french fries were all delicious and they served $5 mimosas/bloody mary's. It was a great Sunday :) And there's an outdoor space, so I can't wait to go back once it's warmer outside.

Nice outdoor seating with decent cheap beer and grub make this a great pit-stop on a Brooklyn pub crawl. Propane heat lamps make it doable even on a cold December night. I only had a dog and a beer here on a recent trip to Bklyn, so I can't speak too deeply to the "William's & Bailey experience", but I would definitely put this joint on my itinerary next time I'm in town.

Ate here, or should I say, tried to eat here this Sunday the 22nd. The waiter was non existant along with his follow up on drinks. We sat ourside on the patio which is nice, but after hunting down the waiter for more coffee and water we began to wonder. Following a 45 minute wait our food arrived. Three of the entries were stone cold and one was missing an item. When we mentioned it to the manager he appologized and gave us a discount saying the kitchen was in bad sorts that day. Two other parties walked out after waiting over 45 minutes to an hour for their orders as well. I have not had such a bad experience in many years. I think as a pub they may be successful, but as a restaurant I would look elsewhere. Terrible! Don't go there you will be disappointed. More interested in selling drinks in the bar than waiting on tables and promoting their food.

Ambiance, Ambiance, Ambiance! Dark wood walls, metal tiled accents, bar that stretch out forever and a back-yard for those warm summer nights. This place would get 4 stars just for getting the right feeling of t.v.s above the bar that don't distract from the fact that no one wants to hear you screaming at them! The menu is elevated Pub food with fried zucchini replacing the french fries and baked mack and cheese thrown in for good measure, and the chicken and waffle as the sweet icing on the cake. I cam hear on a HOT summer evening with some cool friends for drinks and some nosh. Salads were lumped high with chicken breast but the club-sandwiches left my guy friends peckish. A nice beer selection doesn't take way from the full bar and some nice muddling of my Old Fashion by our bartender! The service is a bit slow but very attentive and the clientele are a nice mix of neighborhood folks and those who might have just stumbled in, invited by the charm oozing out the front door! Grab a mahogany booth with a date and sip the night away!

I love Williams and Bailey and make it there more often than I care to admit. The food is great, it's affordable, good sized portions, and I don't think I've had a single thing on the menu that I don't like. The wings and fries are some of the best around this area. The drinks are cheap, and the bartenders are actually really friendly (not something you always get in Williamsburg for sure). I love that they serve food until 2AM, and I love going in late at night when random movies are playing. The music is generally great and the crowd is pretty mellow. One of my favorite places in the neighborhood!

Lemme break it down. Went here last night with 5 other people to have dinner. After the server took our order, he came back to say the kitchen was having "technical difficulties" and that our food might take a little longer. Okay, fine. Flash-forward to over an hour later and no food, no apologies, nothing. We waved down another server and asked him about what the kitchen difficulties were to which he replied "oh I just think there are a lot of people..." Ten minutes later we asked our original server what was going on, which is when he decided to inform us that one of the menu items, a turkey sandwich, we had ordered was not available but that everyone else's food would be out in 5 minutes. He also threw down some chips as some sort of concession. Over fifteen minutes passed before we had to once again check where our food was. We were about to leave and just pay for the drinks we had when the waiter brought over three of the six menu items we ordered. He stated that those three items were on the house and that we were to split them amongst ourselves. Great, except for the fact that I'm a vegetarian and the three items he brought over were all (room-temperature) meat. Why no one ever explained to me, or my other friend who had ordered a salad, that our meals were also no longer coming out, is beyond me. Also, we ordered drinks under the pretense it was happy hour but were only informed that it wasn't happy prices when we got the bill. Why did happy hour not apply? Because it was a holiday, the server informed us. What holiday? Well no one had work because of the hurricane. Oh.... so why do you still have a chalkboard in front of the place advertising your happy hour deals? why did no one inform us before we ordered anything happy hour didn't apply? I understand times are tough during this insane hurricane but this is in Williamsburg where no one lost power.... P.S. The manager never came to explain anything/apologize but rather forced the waitstaff to be the unlucky messengers...

Sunday brunch was incredible . We went for mother's day . They pretty much would make my kids anything . My daughter had this tasty French toast with fresh fruit and whip cream . My son , a Malt waffle with bacon . They each had FRESHLY queezed oj . My Mom and I had freshly made mimosa . She ate a NYC bagel with lox and cream cheese . I myself had the 3 eggs, toast , this YUMMIE hash brown cake thing . My daughter loved her too ! My brother took a favorite of his and did the breakfast style , Royal with cheese and a fried egg . We got to sample the fried chicken . Thinking that is next time I go . They have a fooseball table and my kids had a blast playing it . They also have a 2 player old school video game thing with 60 games on it . It made for a perfect Mother's day ! ! !

I hosted a surprise birthday party for a friend and the staff was so unbelievably helpful. They helped orchestrate the surprise and reserved us tables without a hitch! The waiter was SO impressive and got everyone's check taken care of carefully and correctly. I would absolutely recommend anyone to throw a party here.

Oh my. What a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Lovely decor. GREAT whiskey list, lots of inexpensive options. I didn't know if their food was gonna be any good but I was super happy to have a bar near my apt. with a kitchen open til 2am. I had wings. They were delicious. Very crispy. Not traditional, almost using an asian flavor profile. They still had a kick and were served with a tangy carrot "slaw" on the side. I ordered ranch on the side because the wings were a little sweeter and I like condiments. I think they should make their own dipping sauce for it. I tried the chicken and waffles. Also delicious. Seriously, this fried chicken gives others a run for their money, surprisingly. Perfectly cripsy, salty and juicy with a black pepper flavor kick. HUGE portion. Great deal for $10. The waffles needs a little help (lil chewy- wanted it to me crisp on the outside and airy on the inside.) They serve it with a maple syrup and a carmelized onion gravy. So good. Turns out this has the same owners of "Royale" in Alphabet City with the famous burger. So the food is a win. I met all of the owners and they seemed cool and open to suggestions. The bartender was the biggest sweetheart I have ever met. I'm not sure if theres gonna be a happy hour or drink specials soon, that'd be good, but the prices as is are pretty fair. I hear they have a back patio too! Just a note- as of yet they do not take credit cards and they have been closing at 2 rather than 4am. I believe both of those things will change over time. As long as this place doesn't get crazy swamped and over run with a-holes I will be a regular here without question. STOKED.

I was looking forward to this opening for a while but then when it did, it fell flat for me. I've gone in a couple times now and have left feeling very 'meh' both times. I want to give it another chance but my boyfriend won't even go anymore and really, there are just too many awesome bars nearby to waste the time. The blonde bartender is spunky but there were a few things off. The most important thing being the music. Music is a very important element to consider when I go out and this place was cheesy-as-hell. I heard Lady Gaga both times I was there, mixed with other random radio hits. I dunno. I really couldn't get down with it. Basically, the place the doesn't have a personality - it's just pretending to, ya know? They stop serving food way too early and the drinks are priced for the East Village, not for Grand St. on the East side of the BQE. Sorry, guys. Some time I'll make my back, give it time to gel... but for now when I want a generic East Village spot, I'll go to the East Village. In other news: 'cash only' is a dick move.

I just recently found Williams & Bailey, and I'm glad I did. The staff is really friendly, and they make some amazing drinks! Try the house Manhattan, It's made to perfection. I was expecting just your run of the mill bar food, but everything on the menu is incredible! I keep stopping in to work my way through the menu. So far I have tried the burger, turkey sandwich, chicken & Waffles, zucchini fries, and hot wings. Everything has been delicious, and I look forward to trying the rest of the menu. I have to agree with christian b. order two baskets of the zucchini fries, one really isn't enough. I think I just talked myself into another visit.
