We're up the road at the Hilton Westchester and found this place in Yelp and decided to give it a try. Only a mile away and good reviews. Awesome (AWESOME) food and experience. Had the Chicken Scarpariello (not on the menu). Amazing. Had two friends with and they had excellent meals as well (veal and lasagna). We attended our business meetings the next day and when it came time to decide where to go for dinner, everyone wanted to go back to the same place (we brought another friend along the second night) and had excellent meals again. Sausages and gravy, chicken parm, seafood platter (not on the menu either), and one tried the calzone. Great service, great food, awesome value. Will definitely be back if I'm in the area again!

After reading the reviews here on Yelp, we decided to give this place a try. We got there around 5 pm and the place was mostly empty but they made us wait to clean a table. We were 3 people. We order our food. One would think that the meal comes with a salad but it didn't. We waited and waited and waited more. We ask our waiter what is the status of the food, since we notice people who came in after us already being served. His answer was it was it is just coming out. So after waiting 45 minutes for our food, it showed up. Well at least 2 of the dishes did. The lasagna, which is already made, didn't show up. After 5 minutes that showed up. Now for the food- it was average but a little salty. We ask had to ask the bus people and the waitress( who was not ours) for water because our waiter was MIA. That also took a long time. The only thing that came quick was the check. As we are new to this area, I am going to try other places before giving this place a second chance. Where we have ate out in other places in Port Chester and already have gone back to them

Came with my girlfriends the other night, food was great but our server was the best! Young man was quick, polite and a pleasure to talk to! Great at what he does!!!! Def recommend !!!!!!!!!!

This one is a Staple in Port Chester! Stupid simple Italian food with time honored and consistent quality and service! Don't waste your time at that over priced Mario Ba-what's his face ( food channel dude) T&J is where it's at
(5)Deborah S.
They've been around a long time and have definitely captured the market on garlic knots! Pizza is thin crust and consistent. Staff has been their as long as I know, at least the past 28 years! My daughter grew up on this pizza and always called it Pizza Daddy'O! You won't be disappointed by having a house salad, mussels, or sausage & broccoli-rabe wedge on home made bread!
(5)Sonia S.
The food was amazing! Portions are huge! The waitress was lovely will come back again! We also had the pizza pie which was great! All I can say is you won't regret coming here

Went here on a cold night before a show at The Capitol Theatre, it's located a short walk from the Cap. Ordered the eggplant parm sandwich and took it to go (the dining room closes earlier than the restaurant). It was a good eggplant parm!

Came here this past Sunday with three others and the food was AMAZING We started off with a mixed salad topped with Gorgonzola and roasted peppers by far the best salad I have had.. We then continued to have linguini red clam and that was perfectly cooked & seasoned.. We all ordered lamb chops for our entree by far the best lamb chops partnered with potatoes and string beans ( or vegetable of your choice) ...cooked to perfection..service was excellent everyone was kind and made sure their customers were happy !! I will deff be back !!!

Pizza was tasty, but the delivery guy messed up the address, took too long, and the crust lost it's crunch. Caeser salad was a joke. Romaine and stale croutons in CREAMY ITALIAN.
(2)Jill C.
Arugula salad with grilled chicken! Comes with an insanely delicious lemon pepper dressing!

I enjoyed my pizza and garlic bread delivery from T&J's. The pizza was thin and crispy and the garlic bread was... very garlicy. Both great things as they were. There are a few things that could've been better... The delivery took longer than they said it would take. They didn't send any napkins, etc., even though I ordered to a hotel. Another thing I found a bit strange was they don't have a smaller size. I got this really big pizza, half of which went to waste. I feel bad about that, but I already felt like I over-ate and there was a LOT of food left over. Lastly, my own mistake on the payment; I gave the delivery guy and extra $5 cash by mistake. I meant to ask for some change, but completely forgot about that until 20 minutes later. Shoot... that's a damn generous tip. I was so hungry by this time, all I could think about was getting my food back to my room. Completely, unrelated to the review and not anyone's fault but my own, but I just thought I'd mention it. :-)

I've eaten here before and I can't say it's my favorite place to eat but last night I decided to go grab a quick bite after a nice night out with the family at the Capitol. We arrived 45 minutes before they were closing and were made VERY uncomfortable... Three different employees spoke sternly to us making it known that we had to hurry up and be quick... 45 minutes before closing... Yup not 5 minutes, 45... We then left without eating because of how uncomfortable they made us feel. If you like a quick slice then fine, but if you want a place to sit down and eat with your family, you should reconsider. That's the last time I'll be stepping foot in this inhospitable place.

This is another excellent pizzeria and on my way home. Larger than average slices to boot! Be aware that Port Chester parking enforcement is fierce so doublecheck your parking receipt!
(5)Abnel V.
I love T & J the Pizza is always on point and nice crisp crunch taste , also they do specialty wraps with are very different my opinion get a slice with a Beer and enjoy it in this nice weather of July

Great place for ordering Italian-American take out like the fried calamari, clams oreganata, chicken roll, calzone, & pizza of course. I'm a big fan of their salad pizza, which I cannot seem to find outside of this area. I think they make the best tasting salad pizza. The daily specials are worth checking out too.
(4)J R.
Stay away from this place, if your not of their chosen few they wont sit you in their dining room. Twice now we went there before a concert at the Capital and the 2 older Italian Hostess/bouncers took our name but never sat us, instead sat their friends and relatives. Other people there was in the same situation. UNBELIEVABLE... . Never again will go or recommend this place to anyone.
(1)Stiven J.
Before the show, or after the show (maybe even during ;), This is the place that you should go, if you want to eat Italian food which is delicious and fresh. With no masks, or attempt to make Italian food something which it is not, this place always make me feel that i made the right choice.
(4)Dori D.
This place was okay... We ordered one cheese pizza and one sausage pizza. I preferred the cheese to the sausage. Both pizzas were decently good but nothing special. We also ordered two pastas: one that was a bow tie pasta with marinara and mushrooms and another that was a penne pasta with alfredo sauce, chicken, atrichoke and garlic. Both pastas were a part of their Wednesday night special. I didn;t really like the marinara pasta at all the the alfredo chicken one was only ok, nothing too great about it. The salads (that came free) were boring and the bread (that also came free) was like a small load of bread from the grocery store bakery. Nothing good or special either. And for a tab that was about $45 for all of this for take out was pretty expensive for the quality. Overall, it was okay but I wouldn't go back.
(2)Roberto C.
This is a wonderful little family owned gem right off the main drag going into port chester. Food was excellent & the people who own it & work there couldn't have been nicer. Thanks T & J's!
(5)Cary C.
Came here for a friend's engagement party this past weekend. Everything was delicious. I felt ashamed that I couldn't finish all of my dinner! I highly recommend their chicken francese and penne alla vodka. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
(5)Rachel K.
This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had when attempting to order take out. The employee was rude, condescending and nasty to the extent that I hung up the phone, and chose a different restaurant because I refused to support a place with such low standards. I am not one to review usually but this was so unbelievable that I felt it necessary to share with others. There are many businesses that work hard and treat their customers with respect and in return get loyal customers. Please consider this review when ordering! We chose Franky and Louies. It was well worth the change in plans!

Idiots! Whoever gave this place good review is in serious need of help. I can't believe the dept of health hasn't closed this place down yet. Cheesecake sitting out uncovered, milk for the espresso machine out, without refrigeration, dirty walls, spilled food on the old CARPETED floors. Totally gross. I should have walked out but my colleague was hungry. Food was eh at best. Sauce like out of can. Calamari was decent. Waiter looked like the son of the owners and was very surly. I can understand, Port chester is far from nyc, but this cannot be called a nice place
(1)James P.
The food here is good as it gets! We had an event catered here, everything was excellent and the service was good as well. Highly recommended!
(5)A. B.
I tried out this restaurant after having dinner at their sister restaurant next door. Didn't think it could get any better! All I can say is WOW! Really delicious food and friendly staff. The complimentary cheesecake was a plus! Can't wait to try the pizza next!
(5)Lisa G.
BEST.PIZZA.IN.PORT.CHESTER.RYE.GREENWICH.PERIOD. and we've tried them all! and we are Italian and veeeerrrrry picky about our pizza! Their escarole and bean soup is better than home made. *homer drool*
(5)Felipe G.
We are always looking for places to eat in the area and after a couple of failed attempts (closed) we decided to give T&J's a shot. We were not disapointed. Even though they serve very large portions, we finished everything on our plates. The linguini frutti di mare was the best by far. But all was excellent quality and taste. You could tell it's good home made Italian food. Unpretentious yet very tasty. We will come back again and next time order a nice bottle of wine. I didn't look at the list but on display I saw quite a few bottles of DOCG wines. We took the dessert (cheese cake) to go so can't rate that now but it looked great.

I came here for dinner during a weekday evening last week, it was way better than my expectations. There are now actually 2 restaurants owned by the same family side by side, the other one is fancier and with a slightly different menu. This is the original pizza and pasta place. decor: -- 2 stars, it's more of a casual dining or slightly better than hold-in-the-wall service: 3 stars, pretty good for what I'd normally expect food: -- veal chop: special for the night $25, it's HUGE and pretty good, with lots of well made veggies and pasta -- the other dish tasted way better ($18), it's a chicken cutlet with sauce and pasta w/ marinara sauce on the side, excellent! -- dessert: tiramisu, homemade, pretty good, though a bit pricey ($5) and homemade cheese cake (this one is a bit more grainy.... I didn't like it as much ~$5).. overall, a pretty good dining experience and at a very reasonable price compared to the rest of the restaurants in CT area.

I was dying to try T&J's penne ala vodka, but discovered they already have prosciutto in the sauce :( Being a vegetarian I was totally bummed! Anyway, we picked up a pie of pizza and it wasn't so bad. I'm still in search of amazing pizza in Westchester...I guess I'm spoiled by NYC. The guys behind the pizza counter were very sweet and friendly. One of the guys offered to make us a pasta with any type of sauce we wanted after seeing my disappointed "I can't have my penne" face.
(4)Tara D.
Soooo good!! Chicken Francese and Chicken Parm is delicious. Service is always very friendly. Generous portions. Wish I lived closer!
(5)Gerald O.
A local village place with consistently good food, well prepared, and a pleasant friendly wait staff. Daily dinner specials are available. We have been coming here for years and never get tired of T&J's. If you don't see it on the menu - just ask and they will make it anyway you like. !
(4)David S.
This is a wonderful, genuine family owned Italian restaurant with zero pretention. Not only do they have all the classic menu items, they will make just about anything you can describe off the menu. And they are nice people. Well worth the trip. Just go there.
(4)John B.
Great, authentic Italian food. Service was excellent. The Macaroni and Cheese was awesome!
(4)Susan H.
This place has the best Italian food ever! Excellent antipasti, salad, and main course. Great service too! Highly recommend.
(5)Paul C.
They have the best pizza and pasta dishes in th area, hands down. I've gotten take-out from them for about 8 years, and the food is always off-the-charts great. Their sauce is spectacular! I've dined in their restaurant a handful of times, and like the family vibe it has. Do yourself a favor and order their Oso Buco -- it's amazing.

We were about to see a show at the Capitol theatre in Port Chester NY and went looking for a good place to eat nearby when we came upon this gem of an Italian restaurant just a block & 1/2 away from the theatre. We thought we had landed in heaven! Before ordering appetizers, we were brought complementary parmesan sticks and bruschetta. From the appetizers to dessert, this was the most authentic Italian cooking I have come across in a very long time. Although the restaurant seemed quite busy, the chef came to our table & asked how we were enjoying it all, a nice touch. The Eggplant Parmesan melted in my mouth & the Chicken Balsamico was the best ever. Although pressed for time to get to the show, the friendly efficient staff made sure we went on our way satisfied, a very memorable meal. We will definitely return when we have more time to relax & enjoy some other selections on Chef Paul's menu.

Year after year I hear about the Hunters Dinner and I never go. I always regret it and hear how great it was after. I used to go here every Christmas Eve with my Uncle until the last couple of years when we seemingly stopped celebrating. This place rules. I've gone over the years NOT just for a holiday meal and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff is always personable and friendly ( I think its family owned?)... LOVE the bread, raviolis... everything here is good. I'll always have fond memories of my Grandmother sneaking into their bathroom to smoke mid meal, then swear she didn't...but we all knew....Good food memories.

Came to Port Chester for a Counting Crows concert and was pleasantly surprised by the food quality and unpretensiousness of the restaurant .It was to quote the BW a trip back to grandma's kitchen. I fell in love with the tomato foccacio that was in the bread basket. My wife had the lentil soup which had veal broth base that was loaded with lentils bacon potatoes and bow-ties add a little fresh pepper and enjoy She followed it with fork tender veal parmigiana. I had the Chicken Giambeti which was a Scarppiello with a veal based sauce rather than white wine. The sausage ,chicken, potatoes mushrooms garlic, peppers and onions melted into a blissful experience. The service was attentive and caring. The owner gave us a complimentary slice of Italian cheese cake which had a hint of citron and was light as a feather. It reminded me of the restaurants I used to frequent back in the day. Enjoy the food and the experience.
(5)Daniel H.
This place has excellent Italian food. The portions are so enormous that you will be eating your meal for lunch the next day. The dinning room is small so you may have to wait for a table. But the food is definitely worth the wait. And if you are just too hungry you could always grab a slice of pizza at the counter while you wait for your table.
(5)Renee M.
Westchester is not the food capital of New York so when you find a good restaurant -- it is a big deal! Well T & J's is beyond good it is ridiculous!! The food is unbelievably amazing Italian served in a very warm and friendly environment. Immediately upon concluding your dinner you will be asking yourself when you can come back. Pricing is well valued and the service is excellent. Make your way to Port Chester for this dining experience!!!
(5)Chris L.
My family often comes here for consistently delicious Italian food in HUGE portions and incredibly reasonable prices. This is honestly the type of restaurant you dream about (if you're me, that is). The staff know you after one visit and are friendly. Also, the managers are always floating around chatting up the diners. Admittedly the dining room is SMALL and my family and I have considered walking out once or twice out of sheer hunger. But believe me, the food is really and truly worth the wait. That, and I suppose they are used to a crowded dining room with long waits so they are quite fair when seating customers. Tips: - Go on Wednesdays when they have a special pasta menu for a great price. - Order whatever your whims guide you to. It will be good no matter what! - Consider splitting an entree/ordering two appetizers because the portions are really huge if you're not a champion eater. Recommended Dishes: - Polenta appetizer - Fresh salad (with Gorgonzola if you're a fan. Very fresh and tangy) - Anything fra diavolo Overall, a restaurant that I hope to return to for many years to come thanks to excellent service, hospitable staff, and incredible and classic Italian cuisine. Go here anytime for a great meal!!

Neighborhood Italian restaurant filled with local Italians. Unpretentious menu and decor. Great food Great service Great experience.

Yes, I know, I am a but obsessed, but I am back for another glowing review. I made my annual trip home recently and of course fit in a large group dinner at T&J's. I, of course, had the chicken scarp, and again I am drooling a bit as I type this. Everything I put in my mouth there, this trip or any trip, is always perfect. The service is incredible - Flavia is AWESOME. Again on this visit, three of us had the chicken scarp and it was out of this world - I swear three people can split an entree that is how huge they are. The seafood pastas (two different kinds, one pink saice with penne and one linguini with clams and mussels) were also incredible, as was the rigatoni/pesto dish and the shrimp scampi. Every drop of food from the bread, to the espresso, to the last drop of sauce on the plate is something that I miss about NY and could be a reason I move back home! I will be back in August T&J's, so get ready for our rowdy group!

I tried this place looking for pizza and wings. Never tried the pasta though. Picked up a Pepperoni, mushroom, and green pepper pizza and a dozen wings. I like my crust fresh and toasted, what I got was leathery and unappetizing. I like my wings crispy, what I got was a gummy, congealed mess of breading and wing sauce. I ended up throwing away 10 out of 12 wings. toppings were well portioned, but the pepperoni was flavorless. on the upside the green peppers were obviously fresh, but much too undercooked for me. In fact I'd say the whole pizza was underdone and lacking in flavorfull cheese and sauce. My girlfriend didn't mind the very very basic ceasar salad. I'd stick with numerous other places in Port Chester for pizza and especially wings. The place was obviously busy so I assume the draw is not the pizza.
(2)Ari B.
As new NYC transplants to the neighborhood, we were excited to try the local pizza. Unfortunately, our pie was was disappointing. The crust is too thick, the cheese wasn't salty enough, and the whole pie was bland. Still searching for that perfect pizza in Westchester, but sadly, this is not it.
(2)Paul D.
I totally agree with the other Posters this place is great over the years I have Had many Lunches At T&J Pizza and Pasta. One of the things that i like the most about T&J is there ever Changing Lunch Specials. Everyday T&J put 5 to 8 Different Lunch Specials ranging from 10-15 bucks. A good value for things like soft shell Crab, Shrimp, Red Snapper, Veal, and a whole lot a Pasta.
(5)RG T.
Food here is amazing! I live nearby and tried this place last week and will definitely be coming back. The vodka sauce is just totally rich, savory and delish! The menu is great too- such a huge selection there's something for everyone! Our waitress was great as well. No need to pay a fortune for good Italian food this place beats all of the other overpriced Italian spots in this town by far on taste and quality! The bread they bring out at the beginning of the meal is perfect too: really fresh.
(5)Morty F.
Excellent. Staff is nice. Food is great. Highly recommend. It usually gets packed on the weekends so get there early.

Got pizza here last week for 22$ including a pepperoni calzone! Both were delicious. Will be going there again.
