Get the bourbon chicken!!! My family used to pick up 4 bourbon chicken meals here a few times a month. I used to love eating it with hot sauce. The vegetables are fresh as well, and the rice is really good. I'm sure it's as good as any other Cajun food booth in a food court, but this one is my one and only go-to. Next visit to Staten Island, I'm getting some. Btw, the people are super friendly and the bathroom is right next to it. Random factoids.

i have been coming here for years and time in and time out have been pouring endless amounts of hot sauce at the counter all over my food... today i came in and what did i find? premade hot sauce cups! is this a joke?! what am i, a child? i have been breastfed more milk than there is in this cup! this is an outrage! limiting my hot sauce intake?! who runs this joint, bloomberg?! gtfo here!!!!!

If you eat this, prepare to spend the next 12 hours becoming friends with Cotonelle and your toilet seat!

Absolute garbage. The bourbon chicken was bland and tasted like it came out of a freezer. I also saw sludge at the bottom of the tray by the fries. My stomach hurt for a while after as well. Avoid at all costs, there are better places in the food court; don't be fooled by the promise of "Cajun food".

This is a booth in the food court of the Staten Island Mall. It was my idea to get something here - because of their sign that read "blackened fish" and "plantains." Sounded good! They were out of fish. It's probably all for the best. We got: spicy bourbon chicken, plantains, bbq pork, and jambalaya. At least, that's what we ordered. I'm not really sure what you'd call what we ate. It was like cheap chinese takeout, but made with different spices. The "bourbon chicken" was just like chinese chicken with peppers and onions. The bbq pork was the same as chinese bbq pork. The jambalaya was fried rice. It definitely didn't taste even slightly cajun. There was an overabundance of red food coloring in nearly everything. It was insanely greasy. Unfortunately, we ate it. As a result, we both felt ill later that evening. I really should have opted for a salad at another booth...
