This isn't a fancy place to eat or drink, but it's good. The female bartender made a perfect, large margarita and though it doesn't seem like rocket science, I've had swill that turned my stomach on the first sip. It's loud, lots of loud townies, but I'd recommend it for the person looking for a well-crafted drink or an ice cold beer in the heart of Cooperstown. They do serve food and had lots of tables partaking, but I didn't try any of it out.

Excellent hot wings and a super good hotdog with fresh home made potato chips. Really like this pub, good mix of people, nice vibe (locals and tourists), away from kid-family-centric Main St. Great place to duck into for a beer and a bite.

If you want to get away from the family-centric hustle and bustle of Main Street Cooperstown, dip into the dark confines of Cooley's Tavern. You might run into a few locals as well as plenty of adults off the hook from keeping an eye on any kiddos. Cooley's meets the requirements of a good watering hole. Loose Irish theme. Cold beer on tap -- from Bud Light to Yuengling to a couple local (Ommegang) brews. Plus pub grub that is a notch or two above average. We had some beer and some wine and the house sausage (served very burger-like) and some wings. No complaints here. There's also plenty of booths and a big dining room for people to hole away if they'd like. The bathrooms were a little dirty and in an an awkward location, but that's kind of what I'd expect from a place like Cooley's.

No refills on a $2.50 Iced Tea. Weak. Avoid this place. I get this town is a tourist location but there are more options that will refill your tea. Try the Double Day Cafe. They refilled our teas several times.

Great Pub to take a break in after catching a game, shopping or visiting The Hall of Fame. Good beers on tap and good bar food. Try the Rueben Fritters and Wings. Laid back atmosphere. .

Good food with decent prices. Pot roast sandwich with side of gravy and store made chips was really tasty. Why only 2 stars....it was noon and men's room had NO SOAP or paper towels to clean up prior to eating. It is also the restroom the male employees use. After complaining to the bartender, 10 minutes later a waitress came in the restaurant carrying 2 bottles of Softsoap. Really....out of soap in a restaurant...not appetizing.

We felt lucky to get a seat during Saturday afternoon of Induction weekend, but that was short lived. We ended up here after a search for the best burger in Cooperstown pointed us this way. If this is the best burger in Cooperstown then they need some new chefs... Very mediocre and the service was just awful. I don't know if he didn't care as we were only a two-top and other tables were larger parties but we were completely ignored. I clearly got a different beer than what I ordered and after asking for water 3 times we finally got some. It also took 20 minutes to get the check after asking and we had to track him down at the bar to get it! Needleess to say, we won't be back to this place.

Went here with my brothers team. I liked the celery and wings. God a cheesburger and fries too. Watched the game and had a good time. Liked the irish theme. This place was good no doubt.

This was one of the first places my group visited during our stay in Cooperstown. It was pretty decent. We got some drinks and appetizers here. The wings in particular were very good; they weren't skimpy (I hate little, skimpy wings) and their hot sauce was indeed hot. It was pretty dead when we stopped by, so we had the full attention of the bartender and the rest of the staff. It was a good experience and I'd probably stop here again.

Ugh. I wish I had been more persistent in finding another lunch spot. I wish this place had air conditioning. I wish the table wasn't so sticky. I wish our waitress had a personality. I wish my chicken sandwich was a real grilled chicken breast and not a Tyson chicken patty. I wish that when I asked for some barbeque they didn't bring me out a little pre-packaged container of sauce (like those given to you at fast food joints). Not that I make the trip to Cooperstown very often, but I definitely won't be back to this place.

A buddy and I wound up here after a day trip to the Hall of Fame. We were looking for a casual lunch spot before we left town, and this fit the bill. We both had burgers, and we were both impressed with the food. Prices were fair, but do take note that they don't do free refills on soda. The ambiance is pretty cool; they've got some autographed pictures on the walls, including one of Goose Gossage (former Yankee pitcher) that was right over my shoulder as we ate. It's not the fanciest place in the world, but we got what we wanted.

Very good food and awesome service. I think this is considered a local place BUT that doesn't mean tourists aren't welcomed. Atleast that's how I felt. My wife and I went to Cooperstown for a weekend getaway Oct 18-20. Our first trip back since the fall of 2004. We stopped in Friday night and Saturday afternoon for a bite to eat and some drinks (we also did the same thing in 2004!). We had the same bartender and waiter both days and both are fantastic. Helpful, friendly and quick. The prices are great too. I can't wait to stop in again! Awesome place!!

Okay, this place is scary. We landed here after our loooooong drive from Boston. We were tired, hungry, and definitely needed a drink. Yelp made me feel like this place would be fine and boy was I wrong. It was definitely a locals kind of place. But by locals I mean middle aged to old folks that sit around and watch the game. It wasn't happening. The fried mac and cheese triangles were pretty good, but the chicken fingers were definitely something like Tyson -- purchased at one of those wholesale places and reheated in the oven. Disappointing. There were flies, too. Just in case. Oh, and the ladies room bathroom had the weirdest set up. One of the stalls actually didn't have a door. Neat. Anyway, we'll avoid this place if we ever land in Cooperstown again. Ah!

It was Game 2 of the Tigers/Giants 2012 World Series and I'm in Cooperstown. It's a town where baseball was created so there must be a ton of late night options to watch the big series and get some food? Wrong. Many of the potential sports bar options along Main St closed well before even the middle of the game so luckily I stumbled into Cooley's. They claimed to be open well past midnight so I was in luck. The bbq and mild buffalo wings along with sweet potato fries did the trick for my meal but I was much more focused on a San Francisco win. The sticky bar countertops didn't bother me too much because I didn't have a lot of expectations when I went in.

This place is getting 4 stars for only one reason, a wedding showed up, after the wedding. And it made for an amazingly awesome viewing. Besides this, it's just like the place across the street, quiet, not too busy, and decent beer.

Nothing special here but a descent place to grab a beer, watch the game and throw some darts. Overall, the perfect low key place to end the night. Enjoy!

My best friend moved to Cooperstown in early January, and I decided to tag along to help with the trip. I definitely didn't expect it to be such a small town - there is only ONE stoplight! Most of the businesses are centered around baseball, since the National Baseball Hall of Fame is located here, and it is definitely a summer vacation town. So, most of the shops are closed during the winter. There are 2 smalls pubs/taverns in town, Cooley's and Shermans, and they happen to be right across the street from one another. Since we had nothing better to do, my friend and I walked less than a block from her apartment to where the bars are. Shermans was already closed for the night, so we stepped in Cooley's. The front bar area is a small space - there is the large bar and booths on one side, and 1 tall table on the other side. It appears as if there is another dining room in the back, but it was closed at the time. We ended up at Cooley's 2 nights in a row, and the bartenders were both friendly. The drink prices are really reasonable - living in Las Vegas, I am used to paying $9 for a fizzy yellow beer. Not at Cooleys - they have a fairly decent East Coast selection of drafts/bottles, and I believe the most expensive beer was $4. Heaven! LOL. We ordered food both nights. The 1st night we shared a reuben sandwich with regular fries, and some variation of mozzarella sticks. The sandwich was REALLY good, as were the fries. The mozzarella sticks were different, but delicious. They looked like egg rolls. The next night I had chicken wings. They were nothing spectacular, but definitely edible. We also shared the macaroni and cheese bites, which were awesome! Hooray for fried bar food! Due to the season, it was never really crowded while we were in there. Each night, there were a couple of the older, crazy town drunks. It was pretty hysterical, but then again, I am easily entertained. :) I can imagine this place getting pretty crowded in the Summer when everyone comes to town for little league camps and the HOF induction weekend.

Went here during HOF induction weekend this year. Front bar area was decently crowded which is to be expected during induction weekend, especially considering the weather. Regulars there were a little irritating, but the food was good and extremely cheap compared to the prices we have become used to in Boston. Being from Western NY, I had to try the buffalo wings... and must say they are quite authentic and delicious. Beer selection was a little lacking. Overall, a good place to get a cold one on a hot day and some pub food if you are craving that.

I went in for lunch after spending the morning at the HOF. Bartender was helpful and talked to me about the Ommegang Rare Vos - good stuff. I also enjoy 20 hot wings. Wings were good, beer was better. All in all this place is more bar than restaurant but is still above a shot and beer joint. I'd go back.

Home of the legendary deep fried macaroni and cheese. How they shape all that gooey goodness into their perfect little battered triangles is a mystery, but if you're willing to withstand some shitty service, it's worth an investigation. C: *Trying to catch waitress* Excuse me? J: Don't worry, the next time she walks by she'll be pregnant.... with her third child. C: Damnit. Maybe she'll see me if I raise my hand.... Five minutes pass. C: *hand still raised* Excuse me? Waitess: Yes, ma'am? C: Yes! Can I place an order please? Waitress: Sure, let me just get this plate coming out, i'll be right back. Either way, great place to hang out over drinks and grease.

Not too much special going on at this place but they definitely have all the bases covered. Plenty of beer on tap, enough TVs to get a good view of the game and a good menu of chili and grease smothered bar food that blends perfectly with the Ommegang in your tummy. These guys know what they are and don't try to pretend otherwise. Overall, if you're looking for a couple beers and some decent grub, you can't go wrong with Cooley's.

I always try and eat here when I come to Cooperstown. Maybe it's because bar-food is an art-form not yet embraced in Oklahoma. Service can be slow when packed, the clams were good, why'd they get rid of the bratwurst? That was awesome.

Awesome. Home town pub style meets fresh food. Everything is home made including the chili, soups and sauces. Burgers and hotdogs are great so are the fresh cut fries and sweet potato fries. Was 6 of us and only ran 120 with tip including beer and wine. Note, no deserts due to owners over indulgences :)

Nice little hangout in Cooperstown. They have a giant TV in the back room, but the front bar area needs an upgrade. But the beer pours well, and there's a nice cast of characters inside. I got a local microbrew on tap, a pale ale. They do have very good wings, but otherwise pretty sure it's standard pub food. But i could be wrong, haven't tried anything but the wings. If you are in town visiting, it's a nice stop in for a bite and a brew. On a side note, i also dropped by the Otsawega Hotel....nice, upscale charming 'old money' hotel right on the lake....great view from the patio bar. Bring a gal, she'll be verrrry happy, you'll most definitely get lucky.

Busy Weds evening in the beginning of July. Lots of kids in the backroom. Busy front bar. We were able to get our drink order fairly quickly and find a table albeit uncleared and dirty table. Pub grub which smelled great. The wings looked good. A typical bar...... A hangout for tourists and regulars alike
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
