Pizza's good. Bit pricy

Mr. Miceli is one of the nicest and most accommodating restaurant owners I have ever met! My husband and I were only in the NYC area for 24 hours and were looking for lunch before boarding our plane to head out of the country. I stumbled across Mr. Miceli's Pizza place on my "find me gluten free" app. I have a lot of food allergies including gluten and yeast. My husband and I were trying to figure out what to eat, and I made a comment that i can't have the crust because of the yeast and Mr. Miceli said "oh no no, I do not have yeast in my crust". He then proceeded to make THE most delicious pizza (gluten free or not) that I have ever had in my life! It was SOOOO yummy and I wish he were here in Texas so i could have it more often! He also took pictures with my husband and was extremely personable. If you have the chance to try Mr. Miceli's Pizza, GO FOR IT! He is a nice man who makes really awesome pizzas.

Had my first ever Mac and cheese slice here last night. It was the bomb. Creamy and cheesey with a crispy crust. Speciality slices are 4 bucks each. Buffalo was ok I've had better. I didn't give it the full 5 stars because I had a couple drinks in me from being in kaseys next door. So I'll have to come back another day to try again without any drinks beforehand... Still the Mac and cheese slice was delish !

I've been going to Mr. Miceli for years and it's hands down the best gluten free pizza in New York...maybe in the USA. Also, the GF garlic knots are THE BOMB. Really everything on the GF menu (which is EXTENSIVE) is amazing. Sometimes the wait is a little longer than they tell you for take-out, but it's worth it. The staff is always really friendly and since Mr. Miceli has Celiac, they take gluten free orders really seriously. It's a blessing for gluten free foodies.
(5)Helen Y.
It was roomy here because this is Long Island and eateries here don't try to make you sit on your neighbor's lap. It wasn't immaculate here by the evening, with used napkins on the floor not picked up by the sweet wait staff who all looked under 16 and maybe didn't know that when you see too many napkins littering the floor caused by ill mannered customers, you still need to sweep the floors. Normally I would have turned and headed out. But the posters were amusing, and the pizza was sold by the slice, desirable because I only wanted to nibble on something savory before I headed to the ice cream parlor a few doors down. Mr. Miceli offers many varieties of what appears to be deep dish pizza, but round in shape and not made into squares. The toppings on these pies made them look thicker than normal slices, like flattened quiche. I opted for the plain cheese slice, since there were no signs that I saw and I couldn't make out what the various pies were topped with and was too lazy to ask. Pizza was not my true objective; staving off a sugar rush was. I also like to judge a place on it's regular cheese slice. The slice had a nice thin crust, with a good cheese to sauce ratio. Unfortunately, the slice was slightly more salty than I prefer. It was cheap at $2.50 and pretty big. I suspected my disappointment could have come from ordering the wrong type of slice. Everyone who came in after me seemed to get the thicker slices and they seemed to know what was what. Perhaps not a place I'd gravitate to but acceptable in a pinch. Perhaps I'd try a different kind of slice next time.

The pizza here is amazing. Been eating here since 98. Lucas the owner is the sweetest. I love that they stay open til 4am for the clubs n bars in the area, so that they have a place to eat. I'll most likely will eat here for the rest of my life lol. :)
(5)Joan T.
I had a slice of the "grandpa" pizza & It was delicious !!! The owner is such a nice guy .... I'll definitely be returning!
(4)Jane K.
I've been eating here since I was a kid. Hands down, they serve some of the best pizza around. The specialty pies and slices are fantastic and filling. The cheese pies rock. Just enough sauce and cheese and spice to make you raise your fingers to your lips and kiss them! DELIZIOSO!!! Mr. Miceli is a pizza place that also serves nice heros and Italian meals. The pizza is the best thing though! There's parking in back and it's easy to get to. Try it, you'll like it!
(5)Lawrence C.
Mr. Miceli's pizza is easily the BEST in Rockville Centre. The sauce, crust, cheese, and toppings are perfect.
(5)Marie C.
Favorite RVC pizza! I used to come here for lunch in my less healthy days and yummm his pizza is always amazing. Haven't been here in a while but would definitely recommend!
(5)Soniya H.
I love their pizza! They even have gluten free options which I am very impressed about! The dough tastes fresh and pizza is always hot. I am definitely looking forward to be back many times and would urge people to try them out!

I've been eating Mr. Miceli's pizza since I was a kid and it's been the best choice in town since the 1990s. When I was diagnosed with celiac disease I thought my days of old-school pizzeria food were over. Well it turns out that Mr. Miceli himself was diagnosed as well and has been gluten free for over 10 years. He decided to offer a complete menu of gluten free options to match his already extensive menu of Italian dishes. The food is prepared separately and safely -- and it's amazing! My perspective is from the GF angle, but the traditional pizza and food is still tops - my friends all love coming with me when I stop by for my sans-gluten pizza or dinners. A note to anybody on a strict gluten-free diet: make the trip. This place is one block from the Rockville Centre LIRR stop - only 40 minutes from Manhattan. Mr. Miceli is really a great guy and lights up when you order GF - go support him and have some amazing traditional pizzeria dishes that you can't find anywhere else. (Please pardon any inaccuracies about the owner and his GF status-I heard the story second hand. Though he did just tell me in person that he's been GF a long time)

I've been coming to Mr. Miceli's since I was a kid (and he was in the place where the radio shack is now). He has the best, most cost-effective pizza in RVC. Delivery will always come within 30 minutes if it's a pizza, within 45 minutes if it's a pasta or sandwich dish. The added bonus is that he has gluten free options ever since Luca (Mr. miceli himself) went gluten free a few years ago. It's hard to get better gluten free pizza on LI. I'm not gluten free but I sometimes order it and it's still delicious.
(5)S L J.
Decent pizza, but the delivery time was more than double the 15-20 minutes we were told when we ordered. No apologies when we called for an update, either, just a "he's on his way."
(3)Michelle Y.
This used to be my go-to spot for pizza in high school. Everyone hanging out there after the movies...ah the memories. I stopped by for a late night snack after YEARS (probably 10!) of not going. I had the grandma slice which was delicious. I tried the plain slice and it wasn't good. It needed more sauce. The total price for 3 slices (1 plain, 1 pepperoni, and 1 grandma? $12. That's just crazy talk. Overall a decent place to grab a slice. It's not gourmet pizza, but you can get your carb fix here.
(3)Rita L.
Quality gluten free Italian favorites!!! Took my Gluten Free family to Mr Miceli's to celebrate my sister's B-day. Our entire party of 4 adults & 4 kids were all extremely pleased. We ordered a large GF Pizza that was devoured in 5 minutes, followed by GF baked ziti & GF ravioli. Everything was delicious! Service was amazing; fast & friendly! Mr Miceli is so personable & truly bakes with love. Our picky kids could not be happier! Overall Fabulous experience!!!
(5)Jennifer T.
Best gluten free food. Ever. Hands down. Don't hesitate to check it out. Delivery is always prompt and the owner is an absolute sweetie. He's so knowledgeable about Celiac.
(5)Rose H.
This is an okay pizza place but its expensive and they charge for delivery! ! With all the pizza places around why charge for delivery!! Tacky
(2)James P.
Even though the pizza is good I'm giving this place 1 star because yesterday I went in to grab a quick bite before work, when they asked me what I wanted to drink I said just a cup of water please and the guy behind the counter literally told me no you have to buy it by the bottle. I don't know in what world a food establishment would deny a customer for water. Needless to say never going back so rude.
(1)Robert M.
Good food that COULD be great if they would stop skimping on the sauce! I keep hearing about this place, so I gave it a shot. First time, there was almost no sauce on my order. I figured it may have been a bad night, and didn't hold it against them. Second time I ordered, I asked them to put extra sauce on the order... It came with slightly less than what one would expect in an Italian pasta meal. Frustrating, but good food. The last time I ordered was the last straw. I let my spouse put in the order and forgot to request extra sauce. It was almost as though they didn't bother putting any in the first place! It's a shame. The food isn't bad at all, but for the prices they charge, there's no excuse for giving you such little sauce you have to heat up the Ragu sauce in your fridge to make it edible. I won't be ordering from them any longer.

Best GF Pizza!!! Light and crispy with tasty sauce. A must go!!!! Plus the owner is great and a GF fellow himself so he knows how to make it well. My boyfriend had an authentic italian meal (not GF) and loved it as well! A create place to go regardless if u are GF or not. All options are really good.

This is the only place you should order Italian food from when it comes to delivery. Fun fact, Mr Micelli is so loaded from this business he owns the whole block. You deserve everything you have Mr. Micceli. Oh and thanks for the free wine!

So far Mr. Micelli has the BEST Gluten Free pizza that we have ever had. It actualy looks like a real pie and tastes amazing too! My husband (GF) loves their pie and garlic knots. I order 2 slices of their specialty slices and they were amazing. Everytime we are passing through Rockville Centre or the nearby surroundings we have to stop and order!

Work nearby. Gave Mr. Micelli many times to do the right thing, only to be screwed again. Had a meeting one night and ordered 6 reg pies (asked for Sesame seed crust, they don't do that). Placed the order at about 4pm for delivery at 7:30. We might have just been better off eating the cardboard it came in. We threw out 2 whole pies. I was so embarrassed since we had a representative from out of state with us, and NY is supposed to have the best pizza. Today I went there for a few slices. Ordered 2 reg and 2 buffalo. The reg was tasteless and the buffalo chicken, despite having a fresh pie on the counter, he gave me the old shit from however many days before. Didn't realize until I got back to work. Never again. There's plenty of other pizzerias in this area.
