I've heard pretty nice reviews about this small bakery. I've always walked by not knowing anything about it. Decided to get my moms birthday cake from here and I definitely do not regret it. The owner (I think) is super nice! I got the Honey Walnut cake which is the best slice of cake I've ever had. The only thing that costed a star less was the appearance. I wish the design of the cake was a bit more attractive, but still an amazing cake. Plus, it's not expensive at all! I will definitely be back to try other pastries!

Baku Bakery is the perfect place to purchase delicious Russian cookies and pastries, as well as cakes, macaroons, and other delightful pasteries. The staff is so helpful and kind. They really take a lot of pride in their work. Baku Bakery is my favorite bakery in NY. Thank you so much for everything!

Always walk past this bakery, and read on Yelp their Napoleon is pretty good so I got a piece to try. It was 8$ for a piece that is approximately 4 inch by 2 inch. The dessert was alright, I was expecting a little more, but it was not as flaky or fresh as I was hoping for. It kind of taste like soggy croissant flakes with a custard like cream in the middle, it was alright . I probably won't go back again as their other items seem pretty standard, with cookies and slices of white and chocolate cakes.They also seem to have fondant custom cakes, but the designs/final product look kinda tacky and wasnt very appealing, at least the photos they put up on the wall.

I ordered my wedding cake there and they did a fantastic job with design and decor of the cake! Also, one great thing about that place is that you can taste the cakes and pick flavors before ordering anything, and they are helpful with suggestions and very flexible.

Best bakery every! I lived in Washington, DC and have now ordered cakes from the 3 times. They don't deliver outside of NY/NJ area so I had friends picking it up, but it was worth it. Their cakes are amazing, their pastires are amazing, and their napoleon is to die for. The BEST bakery every. I'm kind of glad I don't live around them as I'd be there every weekend (if not more).

You gotta be Russian if you wanna get treated right. I know their napoleon is amazing, but ONLY when it's fresh and crispy, many times I've requested when I can go to get fresh and crispy napoleon, but the lady just keeps brushing me off. Only once I got treated right, and it was when the grandma was there.

Baku bakery designed our wedding cake. The result is that our guests still comment on how unique and Beautifull that cake was. So If cake and price is important to you and you want a cake to look picture perfect and taste amazingly.... There is no other spot in Brooklyn.

There are 3 main bakeries that compete for the wedding-cake business of the Russian-speaking Brooklyn: Kiev Bakery, Sweets by Masterov, and Baku Bakery. We came to Baku Bakery because based on the pictures from the three bakeries' web sites, Baku was the only one who produced cakes of perfect geometric shapes -- the squares had 90 degree angles, the circles were perfectly round, and the buckles on the suitcases looked like buckles. Also, Baku was the only bakery of the three that offered us a tasting of the cake fillings. When we came in, Rita, the owner, was focused on understanding exactly what we wanted and did a fantastic job mediating between my mother and my fiance who had different tastes. Rita's transparent ricing also made the decision easier. The other bakeries started at a low ball price, e.g. $550 (Kiev), $425 (Masteroff) for a basic 3 tier cake for 100 people. The prices then go up if you want pearl frosting or flower details. With Rita it's very simple -- she charges $7 per guest, so a 100 people cake is $700 -- all the decorations you want are included in the price. (Except the cake topper, but that's where your local Michael's or caketoppers.com comes in.) Rita was also very accommodating about terms of payment. We live in NJ and it would have been a trek for us to pay her before the wedding, so she agreed to accept the remaining payment as cash on delivery of the cake to the restaurant. To cut to the chase, our wedding cake looked stunning and was so fresh it was hard to cut. The guests commented that the cake was bursting with flavor. We could not have been happier.

It's all about the NAPOLEON here at Baku Bakery!!! I was very surprised to see that Baku Bakery has not been yelped yet, so let me do the honors. :D I've always walked past Baku in awe of the beautiful Disney princess cakes, but never bothered to walk-in and check it out. I'm sure glad I did because this mom and pop shop is DELISH and not just that but the prices of the cake are very very reasonable around $17 for a medium sized cake and $22 for a large sized cake!! I honestly think they should be on the Food Network show for Ace of Cakes or something like that because their cakes are SOOOoooOoo pretty!!! The owner of the store was very very helpful in helping me pick out a birthday cake. He walked me step by step through the different cakes they had & what each consisted of from their Chocolate Tiramisu to their Truffle Cake, Fruit Cakes and Cheesecakes! Ended up picking up a Honey Walnut Cake and the BESTSELLER at Baku, the Napoleon (flaky golden thin crisp layers of croissant like wafers in between homemade custard) for $7/lb and to top it off the owner offered me a complimentary piece of cream puff for the special young lady!!! :D Yep, that's right...it was for me!! :D Thank you sir and I will be returning soon and updating my review soon about how the Honey Walnut Cake goes because right now your at a 3.5 stars with me and that cake might just give it that extra oomph to get it to that 4 star rating. :D

Have ordered cake from them almost every year from them for my kids' parties and they have always looked and tasted amazing. All the guests always ask me where I got the cake because it is so good. They are always on time and reasonably priced as well. Parking is a bit of a problem in that area but someone always brings the cake right out to my car and puts it into the trunk for me. Wonderful service. Can't wait to get the next one :)

Delicious cakes, able to be decorated into just about anything you can think of. Used them for my 25th and 30th bdays and for other occasions that called for an impressive cake. Would have used them for my wedding too, if my venue booking didn't already include a cake.

Small but good Russian bakery, there is a layered chocolate cake here that is delicious . Its called Stephanie. The Napoleon is also one of my absolute faves!! These are the only 2 things Ive tried from here. The cookies are just Ok, and the ladies are just OK, but there is a very sweet older man here who usually gives me discounts, so 5 stars for him and his delicious cakes!

I have been their costumer for about 5yrs, today I went in to order a cake for my daughters birthday party the is happing in June everything was going until I said that I will need a delivery. She starts saying no you need to pick the cake up we are busy on Saturdays ( keep in mind the party is at 5pm) I told her that they never had a problem before.. So I had enough I turned around told her to forget about the cake and walked out. I guess she must have Realized how she acted cause she tried to get me back but after being treated like that I was not having it
