I like on 13th between Broadway and University and just want to say I hate this place.. It's too convenient to not go in from time to time but the owners who work there are always extremely rude people, every one of my friends who have gone in say the same as well. Also have had decent salads during lunch time but everytime I've had a sandwich there the quality has been terrible, and the food has been barely edible. I wish a better deli was more local. Place is also pretty expensive for what it is

This deli wasn't anything SUPER-special. It was sort of pricey and the guys didn't really know their own menu too well. But the sandwich I had was out of this world. I ordered the chicken and avocado sandwich. It was awesome. Two decent sized slices of chicken that are roasted in this curry sauce, put onto a large hero roll with avocado and melted swiss cheese. It was super-good. Oh and it was hilarious because they screwed up this girl's order and she was like, "Honey, I didn't want any deluxe!" The guy just threw the fries on the table and gave her the burger back. But yeah, convenient place to grab a bite before the movies.

There are two delis right across 13th st from each other; Giant Bagel and this one; Giant is the place that messes up every other phone order; has worse scores from the health dept; smaller selection. This place is the better of the two; more careful with orders, fresher ingredients, more variety.

My go-to for great, cheap coffee that comes in many flavors (I love flavored coffee, got a problem?) I've never tried the food but the buffet looks pretty gross... However, 4 stars because the coffee station is very clean and the cashier ladies are always super nice! Shout out to the homeless dude with the gravely voice wishing people a good morning.

Self-serve food is okay at best. The prices are good though, at least after 7 pm when the price per lb drops on weekdays anyway. That is the only reason I ever venture into this establishment, for a quick cheap meal when anything will do. To be fair, perhaps that explains the poor quality. If you are willing to spare a couple of dollars, Space Market between 8th and Washington Square N (also on University) a few blocks away has a much better selection and quality food. And that is judging from buying food from Space Market as late as 9 pm on many nights.

There are only certain things that you can buy here that are tasty and worth it. 1) The breakfast sandwiches, 2) The deli sandwiches, 3) The Cream cheese spreads and bagel 4) The Mash drink, 6) The non- Asian hot buffet food (like prepared salads, grilled veggies, etc). Otherwise, this deli is pretty overpriced.

come here all the time for lunch. usually get the salad which is cheap get like 4 toppings and it comes out to be like around 7 bucks. one time i came here ordered like 4 salad and the cashier was being so rude like looking at my salad thinking the guy gave us more stuff. but whatever its decent salad. you guys need to start doing Credit Cards. Only Cash is so annoying

This place softens my Monday morning pain. Large Coffee for only a $1.50. It's always piping hot with plenty of varieties to choose from. The coffee station has a variety of fixins to meet every coffee lover's needs. Also, the deli makes anything you could possibly want at any time. They are quick, the ingredients are fresh, and the deli guys are super nice. One problem I have: the woman at the register can be rude sometimes. Go to the register with the gentlemen, he is always really pleasant.

This place is ok. The line moves faster than at Toasties, and the sandwich makers aren't surly. Plus, the prices are a looot cheaper here. Anyway, make sure to ask them to go easy on the mayo. I love mayo, but not that much. Oh, and tsk tsk for using non-Hellman's brand mayo. I'll probably go back.

7 bucks for a regular turkey sandwich on a roll, hell to the no. Did i mention plus tax? Damn near 10 bucks for a sandwich.. in nyc? Kidding me, not to mention they messed up a previous sandwich order i have made before, haha forget this place i rather go to another deli this place is way to much $ for such crappy service, someone has an attitude and or they look at you like your a crazy new yorker because your baffled that your about to pay almost 10 bucks for a sandwich that isn't even from subways.

Their sandwiches are so big, so delicious, and so decently priced that I forgive this place for its cash-only policy. My go-to: Tuna, sprouts, and Swiss on multigrain for $5. Their house sandwiches are excellent and most of the counter guys know the menu quite well.

I introduced Andrew J. to this nice sandwich-heavy deli this past weekend before laughing our balls and toes off to Hot Fuzz. Its pricey, cash only, there's tax, and yeah the guys were a little out of it. that woman would not have those fries. I would because they are steak fries, and steak fries at a deli means some good shit is coming your way. I too, had the house sandwich #4, chicken avocado swiss on a toasted hero. Sometimes you win, and sometimes you win all the time. This sandwich is one of those sometimes that you win all the time. They have Dirty potato chips, probably some of the best chips ever. Oh crap. Wait. I couldn't get that beef jerky bag open so I gave it to Chris. I want my jerky back Chris. If you ate that jerky, so help me satan I'll choke you with bacon. Anywho, the buffet bar in the middle is nothing really to shake a Chris at, they really focus on sandwiches as their main thing. And there's always one of those "help feed the homeless, help make a difference" guys right outside.

I work down the block, so this is my go-to coffee and breakfast sandwich place! The guys behind the deli bar are incredibly quick and efficient. They usually have a long line in the morning, but they never forget my order (sausage, one egg white, and cheese on a roll - sometimes with avocado). Plus they're super friendly! Love love love this place :)

This is a great spot to grab a sandwich for lunch. I get the turkey club which comes with chips and a pickle for $7.50, not bad. The guys behind the counter don't speak English very well so ordering can be difficult sometimes, but they can make a mean sandwich. There is always a half-dozen people or so waiting for a sandwich, so it is pretty popular with the local area businesses. There is an open deli buffet table with a mix of Asian and Latin cuisine, but it is pretty small and not vey appealing. I mad the mistake once of getting some dinner from the buffet after 8pm (when the price drops to $4.99/lb) and ended up with a big dinner for my dogs. Won't make that mistake again :/ Stick to the deli sandwiches here and you will be fine. They have about 8 different coffees made in the morning, including seasonal goodies like Pumpkin Spice and Peppermint. CASH ONLY. Come with cash beforehand. You definitely do not want to use their ATM which obviously has some sort of credit card scanner on top. I informed them of it, but it is still there. Perhaps it is part of the machine, but if it is, it is the worst ATM machine design ever. Super shady.

The sandwiches are pretty eh. I had the hot turkey thing and it was just kinda dry. Needs some sort of sauce, and cheese is not a suitable replacement.
